To tell you the truth

A small approving growl left him, to tell her, that he was indeed thinking of her. Before he just laid with her, getting permission to make her fall asleep. He could feel her energy as he absorbed just enough for her body to feel heavier. “Goodnight,” he replied just before she fell asleep, and he could go to rest.

A buzzing from the drawer was what woke Diego up. Headache, the slight smell of witch and the busyness of getting the phone before it hung up, made Diego get up quickly. He only just got the phone when the call had been cancelled. It had been Irina who had called. What did she want, he thought to himself, while he rubbed his eyes a little.
Derek. She had been looking out for Derek, so he could be out drinking and she was supposed to deliver him back before midday. He looked though his phone realizing that Irina had tried to text him all morning and that she was on her way. He put his phone down and looked over his shoulder “Get up,” he said before he started to get himself dressed.

He had gotten his pants on and called her name once or twice, but it hadn’t really done much, except for her saying no to getting up. He put on a light grey t-shirt and approached her side, “You have to get up,” he said, slightly bitter, before he stood by her side of the bed. She really didn’t seem like the one who wanted to get up. He shook his head a little before he puffed her a little. “Come on,” he said slightly frustrated. He went to the footend of the bed. “I’m counting down…” he warned her and leaned a little forward. “One… Two… Three!” he counted, removed the comforter, grabbed around her lower legs and pulled her towards him so only her legs wasn't on the bed anymore. He let go of her legs. “Do you know how to drive?” he asked as he was running out of time to drive her home himself.

He furrowed his brows a little as she asked if he was still drunk. There was probably enough alcohol in his blood to get a ticket, but he didn’t feel that drunk. He didn’t want to answer her question and just watched how her hair was one big bird nest.
She reminded him of her car, and he closed his eyes shaking his head a little. Of course, she could drive. “In the lake,” he quickly corrected her, to make them both seem forgetful. He felt like he was thrown out of his thinking pattern and just had to collect his thoughts again. “You have to go,” he said and looked over at the watch on the dresser. He approached the dresser where his car keys were, “You can borrow my car,” he said – not as a suggestion. He grabbed his car keys and threw them up in the air, only to catch them again.

She was right, the lake had been in the woods, but he didn’t do much more than curse about it in his mind, as she clearly knew that it had been his forgetfulness which had been the worst – but he was still under influence from the day before and he was tired.
He approached her with the car keys as she asked for another lover, which made him raise a brow. He wouldn’t call Irina a lover, even though they had been interested in each other, but that had been a long time ago. She excused herself and finally got up and said she didn’t need the car. So, she was going to walk all the way home? She didn’t even live in Aston! She walked out to the entrée, and he started to look for anything that she might’ve forgotten – like her dress, stockings and what else she had been wearing last night. He quickly went to get it, still with the car key in his hand. As he exited his room, he grabbed one of his cards with his information on. He hurried downstairs and saw how she almost had her jeans on. Before she was completely done with them, he handed her yesterdays outfit with the card and the keys on top of it. “Just take it,” he said as she made sure nothing was dropped. Since she was still wearing his green shirt from the night, he opened the door for her. “No scratches,” he said and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he shoved her out the door and closed it right behind her. Now he really had to make sure that neither Irina or Derek was going to pick up the scent of a witch.
