| Why was she even sitting here? Was it a quick thought and a hope of her emotions just would fly away? Veronica was burnt out and feared facing the consequences of her past actions. However, she also knew that she had to keep moving forward, so that was what she intetned to do. Alison and Levi had been so nice to her and let her stay with them. But this weekend the twins were with Jayden, so Veronica decided to just book herself a room at The Castillo, but currently had placed herself at the bar. The guilt was bitting her soul to pieces, but she knew with time it would be better. She wasn't the one to be tied down, and she had been stupid to rush into something she deep down always had known wasn't meant for her. She had been spellbound to that banshee, and it had been a magical ride. But nothing was to last forever. Veronica took a sip of her beer and drowned her thoughts once again. Right now, she made a choice to just live and figure out everything along the way. No one said she was supposed to know who she was here and now. So she picked up her phone and scrolled through social media, when a photo of Charlie made it to her screen. Veronica frowned a bit and folded her lips. Last time she had seen the blonde it had been before Veronica had made the choice to flip her life choices around. Before Christmas. Before New years. She went to her contacts and found Charlie's number. The siren hesitated to text her and blankly starred at the screen. "Screw it." Then she ended up just calling but went to voicemail. "Hiii.. It's Veronica.. from Karaoke, I was wondering.. if you want to hang.. out with me?" she closed her eyes wishing she had just texted. "I'm at the Castillo... and there is an empty seat next to me, don't let a girl drink alone.. or do.. I don't know.. Sorry to call at this time.. I guess I will know your answer if you show up or not," she hung up and placed her head on the bar table. "Why am I like this?" she mumbled defeated to herself and the bartender placed another beer next to her. " It's on the house," the siren looked up with a small smile on her face. " Thank you." |
