| WARNING: Murder, blood. Place: St. Michael Circus. Time and year: 04:20, 2018 Month and weather: December, slight snowing Outfit: Grey big sweater and red and green checkered pajamas pants. No shoes.Dedicated to: @EthanNotes: Approximately 3 months before their ‘breakup’ and approximately 3 months after she had been turned into a vampire. They’ve been together for approximately one year and two months. Ethan was at work and Jessica had been alone for a good amount of hours by now. She stood in the kitchen, in the shadows from the lampposts outside. She took a deep breath and just before she breathed out, she teleported into the living room. She stepped out of the shadows, jumping a bit around, happy for the success. “Okay, okay,” she said to herself, calming herself down, trying to focus. She had been training for a while and some black veins under her eyes had slowly started to appear. She breathed out and placed her hands in front of each other, and slowly a small ball of darkness formed between her hands. Slowly she let the ball roll around, levitating from one wall to another. Her eyes got brighter, both of happiness and a hunger, which grew. A low laughter grew, and so did the ball. She stopped when she realized that she had covered half of the living room in darkness. She closed her hands into tight fists, stopping the spread of darkness. She approached the darkness, reached a hand towards it, so it suddenly disappeared into the darkness. Ethan wouldn’t appreciate coming home to a way too dark home. He had more than enough darkness in his life. She absorbed it, letting it disappear, along with her feelings. Her stomach started to ache, and she choose to enter the kitchen to find some blood. She opened the fridge; no blood. She opened her storage drawer; empty. Well then; only one thing to do. She thought to her emotion empty self. She didn’t even take any more clothing on; she stepped out on her bare feet and inhaled the smells around her. It didn’t take long before she picked up the scent of a human who might be on his way home from a night out. He was only about two hundred meters away from Ethan’s home, so it only took her ten seconds to be right next to him, letting her fangs pierce his neck a couple of times. The already aroused man moaned as she drank from him; which didn’t make her stop drinking. Blood was spilled everywhere; on him, on her and on the ground. She stood there for a while until his body got cold and his heart stopped. Unsatisfied with the sudden stop of blood, flowing to her mouth, she let go and broke his neck. The sound of his neck cracking woke her feelings back up. Shocked she let go of his head so he collapsed to the ground. “Oh no. No, no, no, no, no” she said as she let her blue eyes study the bloody corpse in front of her and her hands. She looked from one side to another before she picked him up. Don’t get caught, she thought before she tried to kick some of the light snow on top of the blood patch on the ground. It didn’t work and she had to get away before someone saw her. Quickly she rushed home. She had broken Ethan’s door on accident once, and certainly didn’t want the attention from it breaking again. She placed the bloody corpse up against the door, before she opened it. She didn’t realize that the corpse left a bloodstain on the door; she was too occupied getting the corpse inside, letting him lay on the ground as she closed the door. She picked him up once more where she realized a bloodstain on the floor. She didn’t have time for this, her brain was running too high to think about taking care of the blood. She rushed to the bathroom and did her best to not knock anything over. With her elbow she opened the door and put the victim in the shower. She stood for a second and looked at him before she pulled the curtains, so he was hidden. She didn’t even want to look at herself in the mirror and kept her gaze on the floor. She closed the bathroom door behind her. She felt how her whole body was tense and shortly after the door had been closed, tears started running down her cheeks. She had killed a human. An innocent man. She leaned up against the door and slowly felt how her legs gave up on her, letting her slide down towards the floor crying. Her clothing, hands and mouth were soaked in blood. Handprints planted almost everywhere from the hallway to the bathroom. She covered her eyes and wished that Ethan would be home soon. She needed his help; what was she going to do?

| He was so tired, exhausted even. The past year had been awful, filled with worry and it had almost torn him apart completely. He was so thankful he had convinced Cecilia and Maeve along with their families that they should take a holiday before the magical kingdom Athena had been locked down. He had spend the entire time fighting these zombie wanna-be creatures, and since back in Spring things were finally looking brighter. They still had work to do and people to cure, but it was fewer than in the beginning. People came around and helped to restore the cities to their former shine. Ethan had worked another late shift, he almost didn't do anything but that lately. He hoped Jess was home, at least he felt at ease knowing this wasn't going to hurt her. He drove closer to his home, the lights from the car lighted up the road. Here he noticed blood, which made him park on the sidewalk. He got out of his car and locked it. Ethan took out his flashlight to light up the show, making sure he was instinct was right - sadly it was. He let the light trace the two directions of the blood, the second to his house. "Jess," he mumbled to himself, before he started running from the car up to the house. The door was locked, the flashlight lighted the bloody door up and panic reached his system. With everything that had been going in, he expected the worst. The first thought in his mind was that he could handle losing her, it was unacceptable if anything bad had happened to her. He opened the door and got inside.
"Jess?" He yelled looking around the bloody floor, he could trace the blood on the floor to the bathroom. His heart was racing, but he tried to remain as calm as he possibly could in this given situation. He looked around the hallway, seeing the handprints, bloody handprints everywhere. Everything looked like a scene from a horror movie, he was worried, exploding with worry and thoughts seemed to have convinced him that she was harmed or worse. He made it to the bathroom door and took a deep breath in. "Jess?" He asked in a lower voice, yet still strong enough to be heard. "Are you okay?" The then added while taking a deeper breath in. His ear against the door, as much he possibly could without being touch by the blood. He could hear crying, her crying and it made him feel uneasy. |

| Jessica could hear the engine outside stop, the flashlight which were turned on and the mumbling. He was home, or soon would be. Every step he took made it clear that he hurried home. He had already seen the blood; she was sure of it. He already knew she had hurt someone. At least that was what her mind was telling her. She sobbed a bit. Everything was still so new. Being able to hear how his heartbeat raised before he entered the house, even though she wasn’t near his chest was still overwhelming. As he yelled her name, she covered her mouth, while sobbing. This also made her see how the light bathroom almost were pink from mess she had made, trying to hide the body.
She felt her body shiver as he approached the bathroom door, asking if she was okay. Slowly she removed her hands from her mouth “I…” her words were muted by a lump in her throat. She tried to sink it. Her eyes sought to her hands and realized they were way bloodier now that they have been near her mouth. “Oh m-” she was shocked by the sight. She had been bathed in blood many times before, hunting vampires and other supernatural, before she was kidnapped – but now it was an innocent man’s blood on her hands. “E-Ethan?” her voice was trembling. “I... I killed a man…” she said, wishing she never had heard her own words. She looked towards the curtain hiding the body in the shower. It felt like being in the same room was making everything worse – but what would Ethan say, when he saw her? She hadn’t even been able to look at herself; seeing the mess she had made from drinking from her first victim. She got up and looked at the door and the lock. With a shaking hand she unlocked the door and stepped away, leaning against the sink, and her eyes locked on her merged fingers. If he wanted to see the mess she had made, of the bathroom, the man and herself, he was now allowed in. Her whole front was soaked in blood. A visible stripe from her moth and down and her own fingerprints around her eyes from covering them while she had been waiting. “He was innocent…” she almost whispered, whether or not if he had gotten inside. She hadn’t even been doing it in any kind of defense. She had no excuse, except for her hunger and some feeling of amnesia. She didn’t even remember how she got out of the house, she just remembered the cracking sound of the neck and how he collapsed in front of her. It almost felt like she had been hypnotized. |

| His entire body was filled with worry, he expected the worst, but at least he could hear her speak or try to. He could feel the veil of negative emotions, and it made him close his eyes for a second - he could just like her easily teleport in there in a shadow, but he wouldn't, he wouldn't go down to be someone who couldn't just wait. But she sounded so upset, and all he wanted to was to rip that door open and make sure she felt safe.. that she was alright. Then the news hit him, she had killed someone. His heart skipped a few beats. How would they fix this. Gaia and Moonlight Falls were already hit bad enough with repairs, and a vampire attack was the least of the police's worries - at least if Ethan put his badge down for a moment. Still, they had made each other a promise. Jessica was a hunter, she knew what it meant - but he instantly thought he should have provided her more blood to drink - taken better care of her so this didn't happen. He heard the door unlock, and he took a sharper breath in. Ethan put his hand on the door handle and took a few more seconds before he carefully opened the door.
His hazel colered eyes analyzed the room quickly, everything soaked in blood. The walls painted in all the different color-tones of red, along with the floors - he realized the extra spots close to the bath and he realized the body had to be there - she had after all had great success dragging in from the streets outside and in here. Finally his eyes returned up to Jessica, and he took a deeper breath in. "I know," he replied on the next exhale. "We will figure this out, okay?" He loved her, of course he wasn't going to just give up. He wasn't a the one to quit. Ethan could only relate from the perspective of his powers, having all this darkness and negativity trying to take control. "We will handle this together." |

| Jessica shook her head lightly as he replied to the fact that the man was innocent. "I... I just..." she let her hands split for a moment in dispair. It was so difficult to get any words out, because what should she say? Her blue eyes slowly and shakingly wandered up Ethans body as he stood in the bathroom with her. It felt like a big lump was growing in her throat. She nodded slowly. Yes, they would figure it out. Somehow. She let her bloody hands rest on the sink, trying to get some kind of grounding. She leaned back her head with a sigh. She had now idea how anything had happened and she wished to tell Ethan that. She didn't know what would be the worst; him thinking she did it 'in her right mind' or him knowing that she had no idea what had happened and it all just felt like she had been blacked out. "His neck is broken," she almost whispered closing her eyes. Her words were both to Ethans knowledge and a way she tried to ground herself. She felt so distant. She took a long, deep breath as he said they were going to handle it together. It made her feel more collected, even though a hug or some kind of psysical comfort would've been better. She then looked down at the man in the shower. "Yes," she said thinking for a moment, taking another deep breath. "But... What are we going to do with him?" she asked with a low voice and looked over at Ethan. Trying to keep the cool she had just collected, her lips began to quiver when their eyes met. She took her eyes of Ethan and covered her eyes with her right hand, shaking her head slighlty. She couldn't look at him right now. She felt shameful, scattered and hopeless. |

| Ethan took a larger breath in feeling how his heart beating heavy in his chest. One could say his mind entered a state of shock, he just needed to fix the scene - they could clean this mess up. It wasn't the worse crime scene he had seen in his life. Ethan wasn't a saint, he had stood in a situation before where he had misjudged a situation and the wrong person had died - and after being in war with the dead, you build up a wall around yourself - because there was no way you would get your humanity back till before the world had gotten a bit of peace. Ethan knew he had to find a way to deal with what had happened among the dead, but right now he wanted to make sure that the human also didn't wake up as one of the creatures he had been out killing the past months. "First," he took a deeper breath in, and from his hand a spear appeared and he walked over to the man, then he placed it through his head almost without hesitation. "We say an uncured Muertos attacked us, and I put him down," Ethan knew it wasn't right, see he just didn't care when it came to protect someone he cared about. The dark veins became more clear for a second as the deed was done, and he knew he needed to be more careful. This event had been hard on him, and it had taken all his control and will power - not to dig into the negative forces that was leading this entire situation. "No one asks questions if that is the story we tell, do you understand?" He looked over at Jessica. Right now, he was fixated on keeping this hidden and get rid of the body - he didn't really have the eye to take her needs in, also even if it was a loss of control - she had still killed someone, and a part of him knew it was wrong to embrace someone who just had commited cold blooded murder - even if he did love her. |

| Jessica had seen enough of the scene to know any spot of blood. She was still shocked by what she had been able to too. Yet, he hadn’t absorbed any bad energy from her, and she truly hoped it wouldn’t be necessary, because she feared, that she had a whole lot of it, from playing with shadows – and just being what she now was. A coldhearted vampire, who murdered to drink. She definitely felt her identity sunk. Slowly she removed her hand from covering her shameful eyes, as he thought of the first thing they should do. He let a spear appear from his hand, and Jessica immediately thought she knew what he would do. She leaned backwards, making sure he had more than room enough to do whatever he had to do. Once again she covered her yes. She could hear how every layer of the head was being crushed and torn by the spear. The explanation he gave afterwards, let her look up from her hand, towards the floor and open her mouth slightly trying to form skeptical words. Her eyes caught how his veins got darker, and it made her shut her mouth tight, pressing her teeth up against each other. She didn’t like this. He shouldn’t be taking her trash. She should deal with this herself. Do you understand? She shook her head slightly. She did understand, but she didn’t agree. “We can’t explain the broken neck,” she said softly, letting her eyes rest on the bloody floor. She couldn’t look at her victim. Her blue eyes shakingly sought Ethan’s eyes. She knew that right now the most important thing was to get rid of the body, clean everything up and have their story right. Even though, her thoughts were mostly present; thinking about what they should do. Should they wrap the man in something and dispose of him in a forest or lake? Call someone to dispose of the body for them, so they could ‘recover’ form the Muertos attack, thickening their story?

| We can’t explain the broken neck, he knew that, but he also knew he could come up with a story. "He tripped after and the neck broke. I will come up with a story- they might not even check him if they believe he was an undead," he reminded Jessica with a slightly warmer smile. Just a warmer smile for a little second. If anything went south, he had Zitora in his corner. Having a good friend who was a lawyer in criminal defense wouldn't be the worst thing in that scenario. "I've dealt with things like this before Jess, so have you. Remember who you are," he turned his eyes back to her again and took a deeper breath in. They were hunters. Hunters who sometimes had to do things from a different code than what the system did. He knew that better than most, having to follow both. In this case it was slightly different. It was a human man. Not a monster, Jessica would normally have been the one hunted in this case. Here he was setting up a scene to make a human man look like the undead who had tried to kill them, to cover for his vampire girlfriend's murder - if that wasn't a twist in morals, but what didn't you do for love? "First. We report the attack.. Tell the story if they ask.. and if they ask questions you don't know the answer to.. you act it out, cry out loud if you have to in panic. We will get through this." |

| She mouthed an okay, as he explained the idea that he was coming up with. She just wanted to be sure that none of them said a different thing to different police officers. Of course, she had her senses to eavesdrop the conversation he would have, so she could answer something similar, but it was still somewhat a shaky story. She caught onto the slightly warmer smile, clinged to the feeling of security that he could give her, just with a simple smile. Remember who you are she nodded. Killing supernatural’s was nothing. She could be completely shut off, of emotions, not feeling a thing when taking lives of evil creatures. But this was something different, and even though she might be able to cover the story for the police officers, she wouldn’t be able to convince her mind, neither what Ethan had seen. She would forever feel haunted by the feeling of loosing complete control, killing an innocent man and waking up to the cracking sound of his neck. Suddenly, immortality seemed like a quite big burden. She took a deep breath in, trying to calm her nerves, “Okay. Let’s do this,” she said even though everything in her seemed to simmer of adrenaline. A feeling she had known from the first time she had killed an evil creature. “Do you have your phone?” she asked, patting her pockets, to find nothing in them. If she was handed a phone, she would call to report the attack. She turned towards the sink, grabbing it while she looked down. As soon as someone picked up, she would start sniffing, panting, and gasping for air; acting like her life depended on it – because it did. She would be selling the news like a professional victim. As soon as the call would be hung up, she’d turn on the water to wash the human blood of her face and neck. She looked like a monster with it.
