Aurora felt her head being yanked forward, the blood on her lips sweet and sour at the same time, making her frown with disgust. However something in her took over. An immense force that wanted to cling to life and she did as she was told, drinking from the trybrid's wrist with an eagerness to it. However it felt that she would never get enough, and as the trybrid pulled her arm away, she whimpered, clearly wanting more. She felt high, wonderful colors around her swirling against the night sky as if it was a mere canvas for her painting. Words were ringing in her ears. Kill her. Time stood still for a moment as she felt like she was watching the world around her slow down. Time itself had no meaning, her heart beating weakly, trying to stay alive, but perhaps it would've all be for naught. Blood started pouring out Aurora's mouth as her abdomen was stabbed by the sharp stick, coughing as she felt her body get weaker. She couldn't even scream, barely even react, as her body had almost given up. She fell backwards, her body sprawled out on the cold ground, her eyes staring blankly up at the sky. The colors were still there, and for a second she thought she would wake up from this nightmare. That she had just fallen asleep on the couch again and that her mother would wake her up. The two perpetrators left her for dead, the blood clotting up on her skin, her arm torn and her body giving a few movements as if it was still fighting death. Aurora had closed her eyes now, waiting for her last moment. Would she even feel herself slip away? She was alone, she always had been, but it was only now that she felt it truly. Would anyone even care? Would anyone even miss her?

Michael had spent most of his day training with Avry. He had a long history of mentoring and training angels in combat, so when Tatia had asked him to train with Avry, he saw it as a great opportunity to help someone who wanted to fight the darkness of this world. Besides, he felt like he owed Tatia for what happened last year. Avry was good for her age, but she still had a lot to learn. “ Let’s repeat that again,” he said, placing his hands up in front of him to parry her attack as he waited for her to repeat the move they’d practiced. He quickly changed his stance as he heard something inside his mind. A whisper that prayed for Heaven. “ Hold up,” he said as he looked away from Avry with a serious expression, focusing on the voice. “ Someone is in need of help,” he said, looking at her for a moment before he looked in the direction that he sensed she was. He didn't know why she needed help, but he was quick to fear the worst. Especially, since there'd been a lot of murders committed in this forest. He walked a few steps closer to Avry, placing a hand on her shoulder to teleport them both to the origin of the prayer. His gaze fell on a girl laying with a spike in her abdomen before he kneeled next to her and placed his hand on her neck to feel for a pulse. “ She’s still alive,” he said, looking up at Avry with a look that told her that they didn't have a lot of time and that she needed to heal her immediately. He then looked back at the face of the girl, seeing how blood was dripping from her mouth. “ Hey... can you hear me?” he asked, trying to figure out if she was conscious.

It had been rough, but she was scared she would end up in a situation like the arena again. So if Tatia said it was wise to train with Michael it was like that, and she enjoyed it. She was dressed in a black pair of short high waisted shorts and a dark blue sports bra. The raven black hair was tied up in a high ponytail. She worked to the best of her ability but also knew she could improve. Avry took a sharp breath in as Michael announced someone was in need of their help, and before she even had time to think about it, he teleported them to the scene of crime. There was a girl fighting for her life. She took another sharp breath in as he confirmed she still was alive. Every nerve in her body knew what she was supposed to do, but she wasn’t sure if was enough. Despite her head feeding her mind with insecurities, she went over next to the girl. Avry fell down on her knees and took a deep breath in. there was dark magic involved. She could feel it. Avry placed a hand on the girl’s forehead and tried to absorb the dark matter, but quickly realised If she wanted to save the girl’s life. Things might not be as healed as they hope. “Half her soul is filled with dark magic.. it’s like her soul is split or something,” Avry looked worried up at Michael. It wasn’t anything she couldn’t cure, but if she did. There would be no life to save. Avry placed her hands around the wound and took a deeper breath in. “When it starts to glow, you pull the stick out, for it?” She didn’t wait for an answer before she closed her eyes. She mumbled a few words, mostly on repeat. Shortly after her hands started to glow. She filled the strangers body with healing magic enough to let the wounds recover. She fought for the last peace of the girl’s soul, knowing she would never just be human anymore. But something more inhuman. After the girl was healed she tried to use her magic to remove whatever had been done, but it felt like an electrical shock that lashed her and forced her to remove her hands.

She waited. But death was playing with her, tormenting her and leaving her in this pain. Her tears had long dried, the blood sticky against her skin and turning cold slowly. The only thing that felt truly warm was her stomach. Why it was warm, she didn't like to think about, but rest assured a pool of blood had gathered on the ground around her. Silence was all around her, and for a second she thought that death had finally greeted her. Then she heard voices. Her eyes flickering under her closed lids, afraid that it was the two crazy women back to haunt and taunt her even more. However the first voice was male, a calm and soothing voice, the other female and sounding far from the women that had been there before. "Ple-e-as-ee," she pleaded in a raspy voice, her throat felt dry, and the taste of metal making her nauseous. "L-le-et ... M-m-ee ... D-d-di-ie," she stuttered, clearly from exhaustion. She didn't want to suffer anymore, couldn't they see that? Couldn't they just grant her the mercy of death and let her drift off in to whatever afterlife she had in store? She couldn't open her eyes, afraid that everything would make her feel sick, and being chocked by her own vomit was not really something she wanted in her last moments. The woman spoke, but she couldn't make out what she said before she felt a pulling of her stomach, groaning as loudly as her vocal chords would allow her to. Then she felt the cooling effect on her stomach. Like something was being sewn together. It was a strange feeling, not one she had felt before, but not before long, she started to open her eyes. Her vision was blurry at first, Aurora feeling disoriented by just the slightest of movements, but she did get to look at the man. His face was calming, almost inviting, and a small smile spread on her lips, closing her eyes. She thought that she was getting picked up by two angels that would bring her to Heaven, and in her heart she felt almost relieved. Then she felt like a bolt of electricity ran through her body, making her sit bolt upright, shaking a bit as her eyes tried to focus. She looked at the woman, her eyes scared, but mostly because she couldn't quite see yet. Or well she could, however her vision had improved so much that it felt like everything was moving too fast. Reaching out, she grabbed a hold of the angel's arm, clutching herself to it, but not realizing just how much strength she had. "Where am I?" she pleaded, feeling her heart beat out of control in her chest. She was frightened, beyond belief, and all she could do was look around.

Michael looked at the girl as she pleaded for death, knowing it stemmed from the pain she was in, but he wasn't going to give up on her. He wouldn't be here at her dying breath if she wasn't destined to survive. “It’s going to be okay,” he assured her, moving his hand away from her neck before Avry told him that her soul was infused with dark magic, wondering what that meant. He’d heard of experiments made on humans, but in this case, it seemed like the perpetrators had meant for her to die. He looked up at her with a hint of concern in his eyes, nodding at her request. He pulled the stick out when it started to glow and threw it into the distance. He watched as Avry healed the wound, stopping any more blood from leaving her body, and he felt relieved more than anything, knowing that they’d arrived in time to save her. He looked at the girl’s face as she sat upright before she grabbed a hold of his arm. “Woah, take it easy, tiger,” he said, sending her a brief smile. It was reassuring that she seemed to have recovered quickly, regaining her strength. It was clear to sense that she was terrified, but he hoped his aura would soothe most of her fear. “You're safe,” he answered looking at her with a calm gaze before he looked to Avry to make sure she was okay from the healing. “What’s your name?” he then asked, returning his green eyes to the girl. He had no idea what had happened to her, or if she suffered from any memory loss, but right now he needed her to calm down before they could move on.

It took a lot of her energy, and she felt the pain in her head hit without warning. She was lucky that Michael was there to take the conversation with the girl. Avry still tried to track the dark magic that had infected the girl. It was nothing she could do anything about now, other than know she couldn't save the girl from that. She blinked a little to recover from the healing, it was the magic she knew best. Avry looked up at Michael shortly and breathed out before looking down at the girl again. "Do you remember what happened?" Avry then asked and frowned a little looking around them. There wasn't many signs about who had attacked or what had happened. Avry took a deeper breath in. "We need to get away from here," she said in a lower voice as she returned her eyes to Michael. Being in the middle of the woods wasn't safe. Even if they could defend themselves, it would be better to get the girl to a safe place. And till Avry knew what had been done to the girl, she didn't plan on leaving her side.

Aurora felt a little uneasy, but as the angel instructed her to take it easy, her crib slowly loosened around his arm. Her transformation was far from over, however she didn't know any of that yet. She felt a roaring headache rummaging her skull, making her close her eyes just to focus on what they were saying. The world felt fluid, like a jar full of watercolor. "Aurora," she replied in a weak voice. Then the woman spoke, and she felt so disoriented, that she simple shook her head no, but only slightly as to not make her more nauseous. "I can't ... I don't know," her voice having turned to a whisper. Maybe she was going to pass out. Her body was undergoing an immense and painful transformation, and she felt it deep in her bones. Her blood felt like it was boiling, but her body was too weak to scream out in pain. The world around her turned dark as she felt unconscious.

He looked at the girl’s face as she replied, seeing it as a good sign that she remembered her name, but it didn’t take long before she passed out. Michael lifted her body up in his arms before he teleported the three of them to his apartment in Aston. It was quite simple, lacking any decorations besides a few picture frames of his family, a few holy symbols, and a devil’s trap on the ceiling, but it was mainly because he rarely spent any time there. He placed Aurora on the bed in his second bedroom, placing a hand on her forehead to feel her temperature as she’d fallen unconscious. She was burning hot, but something told him that it was due to the dark magic in her system. “What’s happening with her?” he asked, moving his gaze to Avry as he assumed she had a better idea than him after having healed her. He then returned his eyes to Aurora, wondering if he could do anything to ease the pain she was in. It seemed like she was going through something far worse than a stab to her abdomen, something that seemed to be a transformation or a disease of some sort.

They had to get away from here, it was hard enough healing the girl. If she had to figure out what was wrong with her, she needed more comfortable surroundings. Michael lifted the girl up in his arms, and teleported them to his place. Avry took a deep breath in, she wanted to help, but she also couldn't risk using to much magic. All magic came with a price, and she wasn't sure who was going to pay it. She followed Michael as he put the girl on the bed. Avry let her fingertip run over the blood around the girl's lips and frowned. "I don't know. Nothing good," she replied and took another sharp breath in. "Looks like someone tried to turn her into a vampire," was her first theory. Avry knew to turn into a vampire, you had to die with vampire blood in your system. "That would explain why a piece of her soul seemed to die.. or something like that at least," she didn't look up at Michael but kept her eyes on the girl. She looked over at her hand, claw marks. She picked up the girl's wrist and sighed a bit. "Team operation is my guess. Magic from a witch, blood from a vampire and claw marks from werewolf, shapeshifter I'm not sure. All children born out of magic," she added before gently putting Aurora's arm down again. "We can't do anymore. I healed her wound, but I couldn't do both. If I had removed the magic, she would have died. And I wasn't strong enough to do both," she breathed out slightly frustrated. The girl was alive, but at what cost.

Aurora felt like she was tossing and turning, but in reality she was laying perfectly still. She wanted to scream, to throw herself around to try and dull the burning pain she was feeling. It was like it was under her skin, numbing her body from reacting to it, but being awfully aware of what was going on. Aurora had never been a girl to get herself in to trouble, she lived a simple life with a small family and nothing extreme had ever seemed to occur in her life. At least up until tonight. This night was sure to change the innocent human, for better or for worse, and the trust she had had in the world was stripped away. Her innocence stolen and trampled on before her eyes. She could hear distant voices, some she didn't even know if they were real or not. She wanted to answer them, tell them what had happened, what fate had had in store for her, but she was unable to. When she finally awoke, it was light outside, the sun shining in on her face, making her open her eyes slowly. For a second she thought it had just been a bad dream, blinking a few times before she realized she didn't know where she was. Sitting bolt upright she looked around, but everything seemed so ... Bright? Her eyes scrunching together as her new senses overwhelmed her. Her throat. It felt dry, almost as if it was itching and she moved her hand up to scratch it. However it seemed like it didn't help. Strange. Moving felt awfully awkward as well. Everything either went too fast or too slow, but she managed to stand in front of a mirror. She looked like herself, but her face was a bit pale. Her eyes seemed to have a gleam to them, one that she couldn't describe, wether it was menacing or calming. Breathing out, she caught a glimpse of something, opening her mouth she felt horrified. Her canines had grown, not as long as a standard vampire, but long enough to be noticeable when she smiled. Slowly, she was beginning to remember what had happened last night, however it was as if her mind was protecting her from reliving the horror. However her clothes was a tell tale sign of the looming darkness that clouded last nights events. Stained blood, mud and branches were stuck in her clothes, her arm bore a visible large scar from where someone had grabbed on to her, flinching as she remembered the pain. A little shaken, she walked towards the bedroom door, opening it to sneak a peak into the apartment. It was silent, or mostly, she could hear voices coming from another room. Deciding to follow the voices, she wrapped her arms around herself, trying to move slow, but her body seemed at high alert. Like it was ready to run away. Then something caught her attention, making her mouth water. It was a sweet scent, almost like sirup covered pancakes, but it had another attraction to it. She didn't know what it was, but her body seemed to react so strongly to it. Walking in to the room, she saw where the scent was coming from. A tall man, his shoulders broad and his back turned to the door she was moving silently through. What was he doing? Cooking something delicious? However as she got closer, she couldn't stop her body from lashing out, jumping on his back, wrapping her arms and legs around his torso as her fangs went for his exposed skin on his neck.

| His gaze stayed with Aurora as Avry explained what she’d sensed, wondering if they'd been able to prevent anything. He'd always despised vampires for taking away the lives of innocent humans to create more of their kind. He glanced down at the claw marks on her skin, exhaling a deep breath before he looked back at Avry when she said they couldn’t do more and that she hadn’t been strong enough to heal her completely. “What's important is that you saved her, and right now, all we can do is pray for her recovery,” he said, not wanting her to beat herself up over it. “Let’s give her some rest,” he then said, looking at Aurora before he walked out of the room and closed the door behind them. “You’re welcome to stay the night as well,” he said as they stood in the hallway, looking towards his bedroom. “I won't be needing any sleep, so you can take my bed if you want,” he added, hoping that she wouldn’t feel bad for doing so. He looked at her as he anticipated her answer, hoping that she'd decide to stay. If she did, he'd show her the room before walking into the living room to work on his research.
He didn’t know when the girls were going to wake up, but early that morning he decided to cook some breakfast. He turned on the radio on low volume and opened the fridge to take out some ingredients before he started to mix them in a bowl. He then warmed up a pan to start cooking the first pancakes. Michael rarely cooked for himself anymore and when he was in Heaven he didn’t need to eat, but he’d learned a lot of recipes from the time he lived alone with his daughter and pancakes had been one of her favorite meals. He prepared a plate for himself that he ate by the table before he walked up to the sink to place the plate inside of it. The moment he vampire jumped him, he placed a hand on her arm to burn her with his holy light and force her off. He then grabbed a fist of her shirt with his other hand and looked into her eyes with an intense glare. It wasn't until he felt her pulse underneath his fingers that he softened his expression, realizing that she was partially human. “Jesus Christ, I could’ve killed you,” he said with a serious tone in his voice before he loosened his grip. He then walked over to the sink to grab a towel, running the water over it before he placed it on his neck to dry off the blood. “So... apart from the, uh, predatory instincts, how are you feeling?” he asked, knowing that she should be able to think clearly now that she'd satisfied her hunger. |

| She had been to tired after using so much magic, it wouldn't make sense for her to start figuring out where she should stay that night. So when Michael had offered her to stay, she had gladly said yes to the offer. It was weird sleeping this close to the streets, hearing the noise from cars. It took some time but she finally drifted off into a deep sleep. It wasn't till she heard the radio that she woke. Small sounds got you aware when you lived in the woods. Avry sat up from the bed and stretched her arms into the air, before rubbing her forehead. The got up on her feet and walked over to the window to look out at the morning sun. However, something happening on the other side of the door made her remember last nights events. She could feel the sense it. Avry walked over to the door and stepped out. She looked at Michael covering his neck with a towel, then at Aurora clearly healed. "Goodmorning, or what ever we should call it," she said quite low and kept her eyes looking back and forward between Michael and Aurora.

The holy light hit her like a ton of bricks, hissing before retreating backwards and away from it, only to have the large angel grab a hold of her shirt. She started whimpering like a hurt child, closing her eyes as she thought this was the last moment she was going to live, but then no pain followed. Aurora, shaken by the light, but fueled by the sweet blood, looked at the angel in pure horror. What had she just done? She looked down to her hands; they were shaking visibly, mostly from the shock of what she had been able to do. Never had Aurora been violent or even a bit cruel, she had always done everything rather carefully, as to not hurt anyone. Blinking a few times she realized that the angel was speaking to her, but her ears felt like ringing, so his voice sounded more like a whisper. "I-uh-I don't ... I ..." she tried speaking, trying to apologize for what ever she had just done, but it was like the words wouldn't come out. Everything just felt blurry, and she caught a glimpse of the scar on her arm, making her wince as she remembered the pain once more. How was she feeling? She felt strange, out of place and weirdly uncomfortable with how her body acted and moved. Then she felt almost saved by the arrival of a young woman, greeting them goodmorning, but to Aurora this was far from a good morning. She had just attacked a stranger, and here she was still alive and not being dragged off to the police station for her weird behavior. Breathing out a few times, she closed her eyes shut, squeezing them together hard as to try and wake up from this nightmare. Her hands were hanging down beside her body, her fingers moving a bit to relieve themselves of the stress she was feeling. "Everything is so loud," Aurora pleaded, covering her ears as she could hear the cars move by outside, honking in the distance. "So loud, so bright, so fast," she mumbled over and over as she just stood with her eyes closed.

The look in her eyes revealed that she hadn’t meant to hurt him and as she tried to speak, he knew that she was trying to apologize for what she'd done. He took a breath in to calm himself as he realized she wasn't a threat to them, wondering what had happened to her during the transformation. He'd rarely met any vampires who held on their humanity like that. Michael looked towards the door frame when Avry entered the kitchen. “Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call it that,” he said, removing the towel from his neck before he placed it on the table. The wound had healed as soon as she'd removed her fangs from his neck, but it still wasn't an ideal way to start the morning. He looked back at Aurora as she replied to his question. He could only imagine what it felt like to go from human senses to a vampire’s, and how overwhelming everything was. “You’ll get used to the feeling,” he said, looking towards the windows as a car just honked outside of it. “I don’t know how much you remember from last night, but my name is Michael, and this is Avry,” he said, gesturing towards himself and Avry. “She healed you last night and I believe she's the reason you kept part of your humanity during the transformation to a vampire,” he said, looking at her with a careful gaze as he didn’t know if she even knew of vampires or magical creatures. He then looked towards Avry to try to confirm if that was a possibility. “Can you try to tell if she's got some other sort of magic in her other than a vampire's?” he asked, wanting to make sure she hadn't turned into a tribrid or something thirdly.
