Jessalyn listened to her as she explained what was going on, at least partly. She was not saying everything, but that was also okay. "I understand, but we all know darkness. Sometimes talking is the best cure," she said and gave her shoulder a squeeze before letting go of her. "That is a great idea," she said.

Lion caught Mariella's look. Had it not been because a lot of people here was going through something, he would not have gone along with it. His dancing were private to mostly Vanya and Mariella. He gave her a nod and went over to Tiana. "Come on Lil' napper." He walked into the living room, Jessalyn following and Jayden coming a moment later. "I will just be the proud father filming." They had definitely not gotten their talent for dancing from him. Jayden prepared his phone for filming. "Ladies first," he said and went aside so the girls could dance first.

"That is one thing I know for sure," she sighed a bit. Mariella didn't expect them to understand her darkness, that was one of the reason she didn't talk. There was no one who simply could understand the energy of dark forces that roamed inside her. Lion could have an idea, but only because he was an embodiment of so much light.
"You have seen to much mean girls dad," Mariella laughed a little to herself as they all entered the living room.  As Lion gave them the floor, Mariella took her phone out and connected it to the speakers in the living room.  She started her dance.
Tiana looked an observed her sisters movements, feeling the movements more intense - was it just because she was a newly turned vampire or could she actually feel some of Mariellas darkness? Veronica had her arm around Jessalyns as they watched their daughter take on the dance floor. As Mariella finished off her part of the dance, Tiana and Veronica clapped and Tiana highfived her older sister as they swapped places. Tiana played the music and began her part of the dance off.
It was in Tianas years over two years since Mariella and Lion had seen her dance. Seen how good she had become. And Mariella looked at her younger sister with big proud eyes, following every movement. Dance had always been an escape in the family. Did you have a bad day, you got to blow off steam in the dance room. Dancing always helped on their moods, but it had been a tool they had forgotten to use the past months.
"Your turn," Tiana looked at Lion when she finished her dance and ran a hand through her hair.
"What do you say babe, should we share the stage - or do you want the spotlight to yourself next round?" whispered Veronica into Jessalyn's ear with a little tease.

Lion watched Mariella as she danced with such precision and perfect timing. It was no surprise. She had amazing control over his body. As she finished, he clapped, but also felt the competition was very real. He would have to bring his a-game. Jayden was cheering as his oldest daughter moved around the room, getting into the mean-girls-mom spirit. He was filming it all, and ended the video when she was done so he could clap. "Amazing," he said proudly. He started filming again when Tiana took the floor. Lion was surprised when Tiana was able to move like that. She had been practicing, clearly. It looked amazing. The pressure was getting to him. Lion moved over to her when she was done. "Good job," he said and put his arm around her to give her a gentle squeeze.
He changed the music and began his dance
Jessalyn was applauding all their children for the amazing moves they were showing off. It was clear Jess and Ronnie would be dancing with them when they were old enough. She looked at her lovely wife. "Together," she said and took her hand, taking her to the floor. She walked over to change the music. In this routine, Veronica was the 'man'. It wasn't always like this. She started to dance with Veronica.

Mariella and Tiana stood next to each other and watched Lion dance. They were two out of few that knew he loved dancing, and he was good at it. Lion and her had always practiced together when they were younger, so how great he was, didn't come off as a surprise to her. So she cheered him on. Tiana joined in and the two sisters clapped at him when he finished. They watched their mothers go into their dance. And it felt like Mariella's heart filled warmer again. Her soul was resting in a moment of peace with her family. She looked over at Lion.
"False Confidence?" She asked him and lifted a brow. It was their newest rutine. Not one they ever had gotten to show to their parents or anyone. And with everything going on. Maybe it was her sign of peace. She grabbed his arm and dragged him out on the floor. She played the music and looked at him. Yin and yang had not been balanced in such a long time. But right now, it felt like they were finally at peace and they were in sync again. Something she truly had missed. So the dance began and it was as clear as they. That they finally were in sync again. Tiana cheered at her siblings. And Veronica clapped thrillingly at their movements.
