| Lion barely had a chance to notice what was happening, before he was thrown into the portal. He woke up somewhere else. He sat up, and felt oddly weak, like he was being drained of energy. He looked around. Yup, he was in hell. Great. Mariella might have been at advantage down here, but he wasn’t. He needed light, like she needed darkness. He sighed and sat still to preserve his energy while he was figuring out a plan. Maybe he should look for Melania. It would be painful to see her, but maybe he could convince her to come back with him, if he found a way. He had no doubt his friends were on it already. He stood up slowly, and used a wall to keep his balance, he already felt light headed. He narrowed his eyes when he saw a familiar shape further along. He rushed to her and sat down by his best friend. "You're not dead," he simply said in denial. She couldn't be. No more were allowed to die. He wouldn't have it. "We need to get out of here," he said. His face looked somewhat paler than normally. He took in a deep breath to keep his cool. He couldn't freak out, it would only make things worse. "Maybe Mel can help us." He took in a sharp breath. "She has to," he said under breath. Thinking she would magically appear seemed unlikely, but he didn't know where to start. Hell was a big place. |

| She had been dreaming good dreams in her last moments thanks to Theodore. She was thankful that she had drifted off in the arms of one that she cared for, rather than just bleeding out on the floor. She hadnt fully left her dream till she heard screams in the distance, pulling her to the reality of the hellish realm. She layed on the ground as she opened her eyes and quickly moved her hand up to her throat as she gasped for air. She looked around before she quickly realized where she was. A frown was on her face as she shook her head and pushed herself up on her elbows. So this was what death felt like, she thought to herself. She heard a voice and turned her head to meet Lion's as he approached her. She sighed and shook her head, "The devil's son made sure it was painful," she growled in anger as she looked at him and pushed herself in a sitting position. "I dont know if we'll be as lucky as Mariella and Reginald," she said rather truthfully as he mentioned Melania. Karmena felt a knot in her heart as she hadnt forgotten about the angel, and rose to her feet. "I want her with us out of here," she said in almost a demand as she looked at the siren. She turned around as if she was looking for a way, but she hadnt been here before, she wouldnt know where to start. "Do you think she knows?" she said, as her eyes filled with sadness. She couldnt imagine what life down here had been like for Mel, and she wasnt sure she wanted to know, mostly of the selfish reason to not feel ashamed for not going with Baal when he went down here to get them. Maybe she had deserved dying. "We'll kill that fucker when we get back... If we do," she said determined as she started walking a random direction, but first she stuck her hand around Lion to support him. |

| Lion didn’t like it. First Sophie had killed Ellie and Reggie, most likely on behalf of someone else, and now Baal, who Lion had begun to see as a friend, had killed Karmena and thrown him into hell. Was everyone a pawn in somebody else’s game? He wondered if they would ever be able to just live freely without so much death and mayhem. He looked at his pessimistic friend. ”We can’t loose hope,” he stated and nodded at her next words. They couldn’t leave Mel behind. ”We just have to find her first,” he said and looked around. He saw Melania come towards them with fast steps. ”She knows,” he said and stood close to Karmena to keep his balance. ”We will,” he said keeping his optimism. He had too, or else he would lose hope and then he was lost for good.
Being the child of Lucifer might not have many advantages in life, but it did in death. Samaira frequently let her use her place. Accidently, that also meant she could oversee all of hell. Imagine her surprise when Melania saw Lionell and Karmena amongst the new arrivals. She left instantly and walked to their location. On the way, she had time to get worked up. Why were they here? Had she been so terrible at protecting her friends? She had stayed behind to make sure they were all save, and now they were here, which meant her choice had not been good enough. She stopped in front of her friends, placing a hand on her hip. ”You shouldn’t be here,” she simply stated. ”You were supposed to be safe now,” she said with a deep breath. ”What happened?” She asked, although she was not sure she wanted to know. It could hardly be something good. She put her hand on Lionell’s arm and was surprised how real he felt. He wasn’t a ghost. He was really here, body and soul. She put a hand on Karmena’s arm as well. It wasn’t the same. It was like everyone else down here. She was a spirit. She was dead. ”I know a place where you will feel better,” she told Lionell and led them toward Samaira’s place. |

| "Lion, I am fucking dead. You still have a chance, but I might not. That's a reality we have to consider," she then argued with a pain in her voice like never before. Karmena had always been a realist, which in some eyes were the pessimist. But saying what she percieved as reality, meant that she would never see Amaryllis again. And there wasnt a deeper pain that she could feel than that. She nodded as he said they had to find Melania. She held him close and listened to his words. She really wanted to be optimistic, tell him that this could work out. But she wasnt sure, and it would be pointless to get their hopes up if it didnt work out. She looked up as Melania approached them and she made a sad expression as she stated the obvious. Her question made Karmena look down as she exhaled deeply, "The Prince of Hell didnt want us to be a part of the living anymore," she answered sourly and looked at Melania, with the same pained eyes as she had shown Lion.
"Karmena," a familiar voice said behind them. Karmena's eyes filled up with anger as she turned to him and she quickly let go as she approached him, hitting him as hard as she could with a fist to the face. Baal fell to the ground and touched his face, readjusting his jaw as he looked up at her with sad eyes, "I deserved that," he mumbled, but Karmena wasnt done. She sat down on him and started hammering her fists down on him as she screamed in a angry distress. He let her hit him, till he grabbed her hands and stared into her eyes, "This wont bring you back," he said calmly, Karmena's eyes filled with tears as she made a quiet sob and fought against his grip. If Lion or Melania wasnt going to pull her off him, he pushed her away and got back up on his feet, drying the blood away from his nose and spitting out some blood. "I am here to right my wrong," he then said as he looked at both Karmena and Lion, to let them know that he meant it. "I'll kill you," Karmena hissed, "No need. I am already dead," he said in a rather sad tone as he shrugged. He then turned his eyes to Melania and Lion, looking at Lion, "I went there with the intention to rescue. But my evil nature got the best of me, and for that I've joined the realm I truly belong in," he then said in a pained tone as he remembered who had killed him. He sighed and shook his head, "I cant undo what I did. But I can offer my help down here," he then said. |

| Lion didn’t want her to lose hope. ”Realities are for suckers. I make the reality I want, and I want a reality with you in it, so stop thinking like that and let’s find a way to get out from here,” he demanded and kept close to her, just as much for leaning on her, as for her having someone to lean on. He looked at Karmena when she explained what had happened. ”There must be a way for us to get out,” he said and looked at Melania. ”All of us,” he added. No way he was leaving her behind. Lion tightened his jaw when he heard Baal’s voice. He turned to him with the intention to stop Karmena from jumping him, but he was not fast enough. He walked to them, but he didn’t have the strength to pull her away, and he was maybe thinking it wasn’t worth it. He deserved it, as he said himself. Lion frowned by his word. ”I for one have lost all trust and respect I had for you, so I won’t take your help. I don’t trust you to do the right thing,” he flat out said. When Baal began to explain what had happened, he just stood his ground, slightly swaying because of his energy being taken from him. ”The problem with that is, that I’m not dead. I don’t belong here. So you can stay here if you so desire, but I am going to get the hell out of here, pun intended. If you really want to help, you will help us find a way instead of this shit. I am not staying here.”
Melania bit her bottom lip when Karmena explained what had happened. She had to fix this. She narrowed her eyes when Baal appeared behind Karmena and Lion. She let them both have their confrontations, before she stepped ahead both of them and stood in front of her brother. ”You killed my friend,” she said rather calmly, she was hiding her anger, as it wasn’t productive. ”You say it was because of your evil nature? Well news flash, I have the same nature. Yet I have fought it my whole life to be a person I can be proud of. Stop blaming other things for your actions. If you truly want to be a good person, be one. Find a way. It is possible,” she said and crossed her arms. ”First step, find a way to bring my friends back.” |

| Karmena gulped at his demand and decided not to talk about it any further. Her pessimism wasnt helping the situation. She looked at Melania as Lion mentioned all of them and nodded. She wanted Melania to come back with them, if it was a possibility. It wouldnt be easy, but there had to be a way.
Baal turned his eyes to Lion as he answered to his explanation, crossing his arms as he listened to him, to then lift his hands out to his sides as he lifted his shoulders slightly, "I am here to help, not to ask for forgiveness" he said as he then looked to Melania who had stepped up in front of him. He looked down at her and knew she was angry, how couldnt she be? He wished that he could say something that would make everything better, but magic words didnt exist in that sense. He listened to her and let her finish, her words stung but he wasnt sure that she quite understood what the evil in him was. It wasnt a matter of being born evil, he had an evil entity in his body that just intensified the darkness, making it unbearable at times. Not that he would try to even defend himself against her words, he felt that he deserved them. Instead he sighed deeply and gave her a nod, "I will do what I can," he said as he then looked at his palm, the mark was still there, but he felt an odd disconnection to the artifact.
Karmena just snarled and turned away, she wasnt going to give him the satisfaction of righting his wrong, "Let's just leave him here to rot," she angrily said as she turned her eyes to them, a shimmering light of anger clear. Baal turned his eyes to hers and furrowed his brows a bit, "You should take all the help you can get. Amaryllis needs you," he then said, which made Karmena widen her eyes for a moment before she went to hit him again, unless she was stopped. "Dont you fucking dare utter her name! You hear me, you bastard?!" she screamed with anger at him. He stepped a bit back, either clutching to the punch she had given him that would have hit his jaw again, or just standing regularly. "Save the anger for the realm of the living. The longer you stay, the closer you come to belonging here," he then said as he eyed Lion, who was still alive. "You dont know what you have done," she said angrily but when he looked at her to search for what she meant, she moved her eyes away and exhaled in a tremble. She wasnt going to tell them.
He turned around and looked around as he then looked at Melania. "We're not taking them to Sam. She'd pull them through her games. I think a better choice is to look for the small loopholes that lies around here, even though it's not certain that we'll easily find one," he then said as he looked up into the sky of nothing. Karmena took a deep breath and calmed her anger, yet she wouldnt even look or acknowledge the demon. She turned to Lion and pulled his arm over her shoulder for support. "Let's go, they're waiting for us up there," she said as she tried to sound somewhat optimistic. She knew that Lion's ability fed on goodness and hopefully hope. She started walking, following the demon that seemed to know which way to go. Baal turned his eyes to Melania and sighed, "I am sorry I did this to your friends. And you dont have to forgive me. All I ask is that you also find a way back," he then said, lowly for the others not to hear. |

| Lion knew it was better to get all the help they could. He tried to use his common sense, but he had so many negative feelings toward Baal, it was hard for him. He decided to let him help, but keep a close eye on him. Lion understood why Karmena wanted Baal to stay behind. ”We’ll see about that later,” it very much depended how helpful he was going to be. He sighed when Baal mentioned Lissie, knowing Karmena wouldn’t take it well. As suspected, she went towards him again. Lion just stepped in in time to stop her. ”Just ignore him. We are not getting back if you keep letting him affect you like this,” he said trying to reason with her. He looked back at Baal when he talked, the to Karmena as she said something cryptic. He tried to understand. Of course it was horrible that she was dead, that they were both stuck here, but she seemed more affected. There was something he didn’t know. Lion walked away with Karmena’s help. He was quiet for a while. ”There’s something you’re not telling me,” he said and looked at her. ”You do know you can always talk with me, right? I know it’s not your thing, but we all need someone to lean on, and right now it’s just us.”
Melania had maybe not been fair to her brother, but Lion and Karmena definitely wasn’t. She didn’t say she would forgive him anytime soon, but she would try. She watched them talk it out. She didn’t think it her place to interrupt. They needed to get it out so they could focus. She stood back with Baal as Karmena was about to hit him again. Lion stopped her just in time. She listened to his words about loopholes. They very much needed that, but as he stated himself, it wasn’t going to be easy. She stayed back with Baal as Karmena and Lion started to walk away. She looked to her brother. ”I am working on it,” she said and scratched the side of her neck. ”I can’t go back with you,” she added. ”I made a deal with Sam to stay away from them, to keep our parent and siblings away from them. It’s not working out completely,” she said with a sadness in her eyes. She had hoped Samaira could keep her friends save, but maybe that was too much to ask when the actively searched for danger. ”I wished I could help you,” she said. She wanted him to be happy, safe. It seemed impossible with their family. |

| Karmena looked at Lion as he stepped in front of her and had this pained look in her eyes, like it wasnt just about dying that she was so angry about. She exhaled at his words and shook her head like she was shaking out the angry feeling. As they walked she did for once in her life mind the silence. Her thoughts were going wild in her head and she felt so alone in it all. Lion's talk made her move her head to him as they walked, her eyes welling up with tears as he told her she could rely on him. She moved her head back to look forward, her lower lip trembling a bit as she gritted her teeth. It took her a while, before she stopped and moved her head up to Lion's ear, telling him her secret that she had kept hidden all this time.
He was relieved to hear that she was looking for a way back. He didnt really enjoy that she was stuck down here, he may not have known for long that she was his sister all this time, but he held most of his siblings dear, her included. He raised an eyebrow as she said she couldnt go back. He shook his head as she mentioned her deal with Sam, "Seems like an unfair bargain," he then said as he scratched his chin, thinking about it. His eyes were sad as he realized that she would stay here when Lion and Karmena went back. "There's no help for me, Mel. I've put myself where I belong. Besides, now we can spend some time together, finally," he then said with a sad smile as he looked at her. He turned his eyes to Karmena and Lion just as Karmena stopped. He was unlucky to pick it up, hearing every word she whispered. His expression turned dark and shameful as his eyes fell to the ground. What had he done? He lifted his hand up to his head and rubbed the side of his face, yet it didnt seem that he could rub the expression off his face. "Mel.... Did you hear that?" he whispered low as he looked at his sister with these wide pained eyes, like he finally realized what he had done. He wanted to say something, anything at all to the vampire, but he knew that it would be unnecessary. He gulped and felt an unwilling tear run down his cheek.
Karmena pulled her arms around Lion as she had told her secret and finally she cried. She cried her heart out like never before. Karmena wasnt the big crier, so when she cried it was always meant that it was worse than bad. Her shoulders trembling as the sobs wouldnt seem to stop. "Dont... tell the others, ever. Swear it. Swear on your life" she said in a miserable tone as she looked to Lion while the tears kept rolling down her cheeks. |

| Lion didn’t enjoy how much it was affecting her, whatever was going on, it was something bad. She rarely reacted like this, so he was anxious to figure out what was going on. He just wanted to comfort her. His eyes widened slightly as she whispered it in his ear. Then a sad expression fell on his face. He put his arm around her and held her close. ”I’m not telling anyone, I promise.” He thought it was a secret she should have to share on her own, if she ever intended to do so. He put his other arm around and held her close in comfort, until the anger became to much. ”I’ll send Melania over here,” he said and left her to go back to Baal and Melania. ”Go to her,” he ordered Melania, ”now,” when she went away, he turned his gaze to Baal. ”I don’t care who the fuck you are, what you did is unforgiveable. I might have been able to get past you killing her, but this, this I can’t forget.” He punch the demon in the face and pushed him back. ”You’re a fucking coward,” he punched him again. And again. ”Fight back!” He yelled. ”Show us all what a fucking monster you are. Do you think sending me to hell was enough? Just kill me already, it’s what you wanted all along, I fucking know it!” He pushed him to the ground and punched him time and time again. He couldn’t stop, knowing what he did.
Melania shrugged slightly at his comment about her deal with Samaira. ”It’s not that bad. I get special treatment,” she said with a smile. She shook her head by his words. ”Nobody belongs here. Not even Lucifer. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to spend time with you, but not here. It is not exactly a place for bonding. Just promise me you will leave if you get the chance. When I find my way back, we can really spend some time together,” she locked her arm around his and placed her cheek against his arm. She was confused when he asked if she had heard. Heard what? Before she got an answer to her question, Lion ordered her to go back to Karmena. She was not happy about it she knew what that look meant, but she couldn’t bare to leave Karmena like this either. Heartless as it might sound, she knew Lion could hardly do any longtime damage on Baal. He would heal. She put her hand around her taller friend. ”I’m here,” she just said and pulled herself closer to Karmena. She didn’t look at Lion and Baal. She couldn’t bear it. |

| "I'll have to go search for a part of my soul, but it is doable. I just dont want to leave you here alone, not again," he said as she locked her arm around his and leaned her cheek against his arm. He made a sad smile and caressed her cheek, right up until he heard Karmena's whisper. Baal wasnt surprised to see Lion approach them and gave Melania an assuring nod before she went off. His eyes went back on Lion as he spoke. The tear was still fresh running down his cheek and his face filled with shame as the siren struck him, a hard hitting punch that felt deserved. He stumbled a bit back and felt the sore area as he just looked at Lion, not really fighting him, there wasnt really a point. He felt the punches and just let them through, feeling the pain like a burning sting lingering on his skin. He shook his head as Lion demanded that he fought back. He just looked at Lion with the same shameful eyes, the dark side however loved the negative energy flowing wildly from the siren. He gulped right before he was pushed to the ground. "I never..." was all he got to say before a punch in his face slammed the back of his head to the ground, sending crude sensations of anguish through his system. He laid flat, letting Lion throw all the punches he wanted, feeling the blood build up in his mouth, running out of his nose that was probably broken by now. His hand clutched to a fist to fight the darkness attempt on taking over, he kept thinking that this was what he deserved. Eventually, the darkness was so close to taking over that he lifted his hands to guard his face from further punches, trying to keep the sirens hands away from making more impacts with his head. "Lion I didnt know," he finally said, almost choking on his own blood, that poured as he spoke. "I didnt know that she was pregnant!" he said again, this time a little more clear, keeping his arms up so Lion would have to hit through them to get to his face. "It isnt gone, I'll search the heavens to get it back!" he then said quite loudly, his voice filled with shameful sadness.
Karmena watched Lion go and just stood there starring into the darkness. A part of her just wanted to walk out into it, get lost forever. But she couldnt do that to Amary, and that was the only thing keeping her from going. She felt Melania's arm around her and she just hugged her friend close as she cried down into her hair, listening to Lion's hard punches and Baal not blocking them, till she couldnt listen anymore. She sobbed and cried and closed them out with the thoughts of what she had lost. Even though it would have been complicated to have a child with a guy from the past, a part of her was still heartbroken that she had lost the baby. She hadnt heard Baal's promise, and even if she did, she would hardly believe it. |

| Lion didn’t care that he grew weaker and weaker for each punch. He gave Baal what he deserved. He kept a flow of punches going, until Baal stopped him. His words made him scoff. ”You should’ve fucking known,” he just said and eventually removed himself from the demon. ”I don’t care what the fuck you do, just stay away from us,” he said and walked back to Karmena and Melania, wiping his knuckles off in his pants. He put his arm around Karmena and looked at Melania. ”We could still use your help,” he told and glazed back at Baal. ”He could too. I understand if you want to help him, just tell us how we can get out of here and come back with us.”
”I’m not alone. You don’t have to worry,” she said and smiled as he touched her cheek. ”We might not belong here, but it is still a home of some sort, I suppose,” she said trying to rationalize why she didn’t feel that hell was a horrible place for her. She went to Karmena. Melania stood back but was not happy about it. She looked up and saw Lion hammering his hands into Baal’s face. ”Enough Lion!” She yelled, though it didn’t seem to help. She was relieved when Lion stopped. She looked between her friends and her brother when Lion indirectly forced her to make an ultimatum. It seemed Baal needed her more. ”I doubt our friends would let you stay here for too long. If you get a chance to get out, take it. Don’t wait for me,” she ordered and went to her brother. She offered Baal a hand to help him back on his feet. ”Are you going to be okay?” She asked with a clear concern in her voice as well as her eyes. |
