Getting ready for Christmas - Emilio (fortidsemne)

Aah... Christmas. One of Damien's favorite times of the year, of course, but what else would you expect of a guy like him, who loves his family so dearly? And Christmas was going to get even better this year, now he had a boyfriend to celebrate it with, and he'd won bronze with Team Canada in the Overwatch World Cup! Really, he could barely even imagine things getting better than they were right now.

He was in the mall, Gaia Square, to find himself a Christmas present, and one for Ben, too. He didn't dare to go shop clothes or jewellery for Ben, since he never got any of the fashionable things Ben blabbered about, so he went for the easier option - looking for some of the games Ben had been talking about wanting to buy for some time now, but he hadn't bought them yet. Not as far as Damien knew, anyway. So he stopped at one of the game shops, and began rummaging around. Eventually, for himself, he actually found some Genji, Hanzo and Junkrat figurines he didn't have yet... So he got those, and then began searching for something for Ben, although he could very clearly hear the hushed whispers of some of the other nearby nerds, who clearly recognized him, from watching the OWC livestreams, seeing as it was indeed the World Cup they whispered about, and he also caught them saying 'Agilities' and 'Canada'. Yup, they had definitely recognized him. So he just smiled and waved in their direction, before he browsed on.

Emilio walked down the street hoping that screaming would soon stop, there were too many people, too many lights and sounds all around him. He hid his face in his scarf puffing out at large breath of air and turning the sound on his headphones up in hopes of canceling out all the screaming and voices begging for help.
He was grateful that he was here, and no longer back in London, but he wished his mom had come with him, that she was here to help him...he still didn't know what was happening and why the medication wasn't working. He closed his eyes before opening them and quickly ducking into a nearby store in hopes of getting out of the cold. He walked in keeping his head down and slowly rubbing his hands together hoping some of the numbness would wear off.

He looked up from his hands trying to figure out what kind of store he had walked into, damn it! he really need to look where he was going what if he walked into some weird sex shop or god knows what because his head had been in the clouds. A tiny gasp left his lips when he saw him just standing there! like omg! how could he just stand there like a normal person!!!! it made no sense he was like ahhhg....sooo cool....and he was nothing like Emilio....and he was here right in front of Emilio! Emilio took a shaky breath and slowly walked over to Damien ummm could....could....could i umm...i mean....can you sing this for me he muttered pushing a piece of paper and pen towards the old boy as Emilio bowed his head as his face heated up.

Damien,of course, kept just casually browsing all the games, for the most part ignoring the fans since they didn't seem to dare to come closer to him but just discussed things among themselves in hushed whispers that they definitely seemed to think he wouldn't be able to hear. But a single sniff told him they were human, too, so that was probably why. Because, of course, most would just think him to be human and nothing more. Even the slight glow in his skin when he was happy seemed to be something people attributed to slight overexposure in the cameras and stuff like that. And they seemed to push it away when they saw it for themselves, in the 'nobody would ever believe me' kind of way.

He looked up when he sensed someone coming closer, though, and looked up from the game he was now considering to buy for Ben. And here, he saw a rather cute guy, shakily, nervously asking for his autograph. A soft smile lit up Damien's face as he nodded, putting down the game as he turned to the guy. "Of course. What's your name?" he simply said and asked, taking the pen and paper and signing it with a flourish to him, before he handed it back to the guy, his brown eyes for a moment catching the guy's own.

Emilio gave him a tiny shy smile Emilio...my names Emilio...and umm thank you...you are really cool...and ummm i... he felt his face heat up and he started to talk faster and stammer you are amazing! i mean sorry...you hear that a lot ...probably...i don't know..because i don't know you....not that i don't want to! oh god...i sound like a freak..i swear im not a weirdo! he said waving his hands around attracting more attention than he really wanted to, he looked down at his feet blushing head to toe as he pulled up his maks to hid.

Oh god this is why i never go outside! and don't have any friends now that i think about it...or anyone really...god im going to become a catlady...man...catman....catdude? hmmmm....i should maybe say something before he thinks im a crazy person....and i am one but...oh fuck. He smiled at Damien sorry i don't get out that often...or talk to that many people....but umm thank you...it's really cool that you don't mind me...yeah umm...i will just go hide in a corner...thank you he said and bowed, turning around as fast as he could, but ended up moving to fast and falling over his own feet and landing on his stomach on the floor

Damien briefly looked back up at him when he said his name, still smiling, and then finished the autograph, handing the piece of paper and the pen back to the guy who was obviously very nervous. Not that Damien hadn't encountered that before - fans tended to be either totally calm, nervous like you wouldn't believe it... Or the few very obsessed ones. So it was no problem figuring out which fan category Emilio fit into.

But still, Damien himself did blush slightly with the compliment -he never really got used to it. "Oh, it's okay! It was nice meeting ya..." he only got to mutter the last part as Emilio had already turned away and seemed to almost be fleeing the scene. But then, of course, he slipped and fell - and Damien, being the good guy he was, was almost instantly by his side, carefully laying a hand on the guy's shoulder. "Hey, you okay? You aren't hurt, are ya?" if Emilio made a move to get back up to stand, Damien would help him up again - it was just the natural thing for him to do. And also, well, the guy was rather cute, to be honest. Even that awkward nervous thing was bordering on being adorable.

You t-t-t-too.... he stuttered out, before he did a swan dive towards the floor. He let out a tiny whimper as his face got redder as he felt a warm hand on his shoulder as he slowly sat himself up. Physically i'm fine emotionally im bruised he said with a slight laugh, he rubbed his hands over his face winching as he saw a bit of blood coming from his nose, shit...im so sorry...this is not how i planed or even thought meeting you would go.... he muttered before looking up not that i plande on meeting you! im not a...ummm...like that...i just kinda wanted to meet you...but not like this...oh god im making this worse... he sighed and slowly stood up, even bambi was more graceful than this he said under his breath.

He looked over at Damien smiling at him hoping that his bloody nose and graceful swan dive hadn't made the other boy think he was a complete lunatic...or more one than he already was. One day i will have a good day...like a really good one...and nothing will go wrong at all! yes that sounds wonderful. He took a deep breath before meeting the other boys eyes so what are you getting? you didn't just go in here so i could fall over right he said with a laugh

Damien gladly helped Emilio back up, a soft, warm smile still upon his lips. Like, okay, it was massive with this guy's clumsiness, but Damien himself was very clumsy sometimes, too, so he knew all too well how embarrassed one could get it there was drawn too much attention to it! Just another reason he didn't mention it at all but instead just helped him and kept smiling, as he so often did.

He swallowed when he saw the blood, though, looking away for a second to fight off the nausea he always got when he saw blood - but at least it wasn't his own, so he wasn't in any danger of fainting right now. "Oh, I get it, I get it, don't worry... I guess many people just get starstruck from it? Or something? Not that I see any reason to, Iah, I'm just me, after all... Not that special," he chuckled, scratching his neck a little awkwardly. "Butuhm. Well, I'm getting these pop figurines for myself," he referred to the Overwatch pop figurines he'd found, "Anduhm, well, then I'm looking for a game for my boyfriend. For his Christmas present. I just dunno which to choose, he's been talking about so many of them..."

He looked at Damien as he helped him up, and brushed off his jeans before meeting Damien's eyes, he knew the sight of blood wasn't the most pleasant sight so he tied to scrub some of it away...probably just smearing is all over his face in the process thanks... he said smiling before laughing a bit at his own stupid antics starstruck...thats a nice way of putting it...nonono you are amazing and so coo, and yea...stuff he chuckled, scratching the back of his head little awkwardly.

Boyfriend...sounds nice to have someone...Wonder what thats like he muttered more to himself than Damien, his eyes landed on the many games in front of them well you could always by all of them...or just buy the one he talks the most about..or just go for the easy way out and buy him gift card...not the most personal thing...but... he said smiling at Damien. how long have you been together? he asked and pulled out Mass Effect 2, letting his fingers glide over the game as a shy smile came across his face, if he loves you...then i think anything will do...as long as it comes from you he said and put the game back.

Damien just had a soft smile on his lips the entire time as he helped the guy back up to a stand -perhaps sniffing the air around him a little, as discreetly as he could. And the smell? Definitely not human. Nor one of the dark races... He wasn't entirely sure what he was, at least it was a smell he'd only caught a few times before so perhaps it was just a pretty rare race? Anyway, his attention was ripped away from that again with the guy's words.

He tried to look past the blood on the guy's face, but eventually had to reach into his pocket - he always had some kind of wet wipe on him, though usually it was just because he was a messy eater. Now, however, he offered one of the tissues to the dude. "You've still got some of it there," he said by way of explanation, shrugging a little. "Well, he's been talking about quite a few of the games, so that's my problem... Oh, and, uhm... I guess... We've been together for a month or so, now?"

Thanks he muttered as he took the tissues so he could wipe his bloody nose, he smiled at Damien...damnwhy couldn't he just be cool like a normal guy! so unfair, everybody else's in the shop wasn't acting like a lunatic...hmmm then buy them all?...sounds nice...having someone like that...i never really...ever so i wouldn't know the first thing about this kind of stuff he said rubbing his hands on his jeans before looking up at Damien as an idea hit him. Maybe this could be good, Emilio could not look like an idiot in front of his idol and who didn't like hot cocoa! So hey ummm as an apology for all this how about i buy you a cup of cocoa? he said smiling think about it im just gonna go over here and look at the comics

As he walked around the shop and browsed through the star wars comics he couldn't help but smile as he skimmed some of them. God he wished he could be a Jedi! it would be so cool! he could save the world have cool powers and he would have lightsaber!!!!

Damien just smiled as Emilio took the tissues, not looking directly at him while he was wiping his nose, just saying a small 'you're welcome'. His politeness always seemed to shine through... Probably just a natural part of his Canadian upbringing.

But he was smiling and nodding when the guy suggested he could just buy them all. That was, of course, a possibility. A slightly expensive one, but still, he wasn't in any money problems, at all, especially after that win, so maybe he should just do it. If nothing else, he could play some of the games with Ben as some of them had co-op modes! Perfect! He grabbed the four games he had been looking at, just as the guy came with the best idea ever.

Damien was a notorious sweet-tooth, most of his fans knew that from his streams and his instagram, so of course, he loved hot cocoa! "Awwh, yea, that sounds awesome! I'll just buy these and then we can get going, alright?" he beamed at the guy, the smile... Accidentally really showing off that yea, he wasn't human, with the way his skin glowed for a second, due to his happiness. As Emilio browsed the comics, he bought the games, and was soon back at his side. "Ready to go,"

Emilio just sent Damien a huge smile when he enthusiastically said yes to the hot cocoa oh thank god! i mean great...im just gonna go over here and look at some comic books and stuff he said smiling back shyly, but still giving Damien a weird look is he sick? why is he glowing! can i catch it! will it kill me!!!! oh god!! ummm he muttered before leaving and heading over to the comic book section, shaking his head. Just tied need more sleep that's all...no biggie...but then again how does a person sleep when they hear people screaming in their heads and see fricking dead things...i should get a refill of my medicin....maybe something stronger...

Emilio was knocked out of his thoughts by Damiens' voice, he nodded his head smiling yeah i know this great place down the road...or i mean i think its great...i haven't lived here for more than a month so still getting used to everything he said with a tiny smirk as he lead them out the shop and down the high street, smiling at all the Christmas lights and decorations. He stopped in front of the shop thinking for a bit and nibbling on his nails before turning to Damien right before we go in i umm...have a question...because i need to know if it was just the lighting or if my meds just don't work but...did you like glow in the shop? he asked nervously

Alright, that huge smile was just so damn cute! This already seemed like it'd be a good day. Like, when the guy was so happy and kind - though hella nervous, too - how could it turn out anything but good? Like if Damien just kept on being his own kind, helpful self, that nervousness was sure to go away and all, right? Maybe he could get the guy to laugh a little, too. Just to break the tension. He hadn't really noticed the sort of weird look, but that was mostly because of him turning back to pick out the games, then going to pay for them before meeting up with Emilio at the comics section again.

"Well... I've been here for over a year and I still don't know half of the places here," Damien chuckled, and shrugged. "So you just go ahead and lead the way, it might be a place I don't know anything about." since his work required him to stay indoors, and at his computer...

He looked questioningly at Emilio when they stopped right outside of the shop, about to go in... When that question came. A weak blush appeared on his high cheekbones, and he awkwardly scratched his neck for a bit. "Oh, uhm... That... Yea, that happens sometimes. You weren't seeing things or anything. It's uhm, just part of what I am, I guess." he could, after all, very clearly smell that the guy in front of him wasn't human either, so the guy couldn't be too surprised about meeting other supernaturals here, could he? At least it seemed like a wonder if he hadn't met some during the - month? - he'd been here. "I sort of can't control it. Souhm. Yeah. I just glow a little if I'm really happy."

Emilio chuckled as the two boys walked down the high street well at least im not the only one who gets lost easily so that's a bonus he said as he lead them over to a small corner cafe. He took a small breath after the words left his lips, he knew he was being ridiculous but he had to ask...even if it was so weird and inappropriate. He looked over at Damien even more confused than before he asked his question huh? happens sometime?....i...umm...im so ahhh...sorry but what do you mean what you are? like are you sick? or.. he asked looking like a very confused puppy with his head tilted to the side and mouth slightly open.

Can't control what???? what are you on about?? he said taking a tiny step back as fear started to build up inside him, it was very cold and made him all sweaty and uncomfortable...he felt like his heart was stuck in his throat and would burst out any second. The screaming inside his head was also getting louder, he leat out a tiny whimper digging the palms of his hands into his eyes to alleviate the pain in his head. Shhhh...please shut up...shhh please please not now he muttered in a panic as he started to shake, he looked up at Damien i...im sorry i don't feel so good...i..mmm fuck it hurts...please make it stop...its to much he said in a pained voice not sure who he was talking to.

Damien was just softly smiling as they walked along, already feeling pretty content in the guy's presence. But then again, he had a tendency to make friends rather quickly, so maybe that was what was at work again right now? Maybe.

Anyway, the confused expression caught him off guard. Most people who knew about different magical beings new that things could be pretty weird at times, so him glowing when he was happy really wasn't all that weird. "Ohh, no no no, I just mean, the glowing thing you mentioned, yea? It's uhm, sort of because, well..." the guy didn't smell like a human tho, so it'd be safe to tell him, right? Right! "... I'm sort of part fairy? I guess it's the magic that does something whenever I'm happy, anyway it's just my body being weird and glowy when I'm really happy."

He got a worried expression on his face when the dude started to shake, though, and rub his hands against his eyes... Seemed like it was his head hurting, then? "Okay, okay... Relax... Just take a few deep breaths, and maybe this'll help..." gently, he reached out to lay a hand on either side of the guy's head, to concentrate on his magic and letting a healing spell flow through him. Nowhere near the levels a witch could make it, but it was usually enough to dull the pain from migraines and the like.

Emilio had no clue what the other guy was on about and honestly speaking felt even more confused and maybe a bit scared of the boy in front of him, maybe everyone here was just nuts and that's why his mom had sent him here? so he wouldn't feel like the only crazy person...but like Damien seemed nothing like Emilio...maybe he was making fun of him?

...A fairy...magic...and you glow when you are happy...okay umm...are you making fun of me of like are you just...weird...but in a cool way...im sorry...but fairies aren't real...they are just made up stories he said before taking a step back as a cold sweat ran down his spine and the screaming became unbearable, Emilio let out a surprised gasp when he felt Damien's hands on either side of Emilio's head, how is this going to help....im off my meds...and i feel like there are a 100 voices in my head screaming and begging me to help them...and then you say you are a fairy and that magic is real he said feeling hopeless.

But of course, as soon as Damien had chosen to say it, he could see the guy didn't get any of it. Wait... Did the guy maybe not even know that he himself wasn't human either? That... Made things a lot more difficult. Oohh boy. And when he heard what Emilio said, it only confirmed that suspicion. But he didn't get to answer him before the natural, helpful side of Damien kicked into gear, seeing the guy in pain, and quickly using that healing spell on him.

"... I didn't say I was a fairy. I'm part fairy. It's only one of my parents..." he sighed, and then scratched his neck a bit awkwardly. "But from your confused look, I guess you don't even know that you aren't human either, do you? You smell nothing like a human..." he sighed, and shook his head a little. "Maybe we should go somewhere people can't overhear this instead... The park or something?" he suggested, with a small, gentle smile, really trying to seem as friendly as he possibly could. He just wanted to help the guy, after all.

"But, I can tell you one thing for certain, Emilio... Magic is real. There's a lot more between heaven and earth than most people know about." and to prove his point, he raised a hand while looking at the guy - then snapped his fingers, and, with the light magic from his light fairy genes, a small, softly glowing orb of light appeared, floating just above his fingers, the light a soft, golden color. "And how I took away the pain? A simple healing spell."

Part fairy? do you know how crazy that sounds? he said with wide eyes not understanding what the hell was going on what do mean not human? im human! im well not normal...but human.. there isn't anything special about me... he said looking down at his feet, before just nodding his head to the fairies suggestion, yean...park would be nice he said in a small lost voice.

His eyes almost bulged out of his head in pure wonder when Damien raised a hand while looking at Emilio - then snapped his fingers, and a small, softly glowing orb of light appeared, floating just above his fingers, the light a soft, golden color. Emilio had never seen anything like it, he almost reached out his hand wanting to touch it...feel it between his fingers, but stopped himself not wanting to seem more weird than he already did. Can it heal anything...even...stop the voices in my head he said timidly.
In the back of his mind he knew what he was asking was stupid and not possible, but still it would be so nice if it were true...and not just the healing thing...magic...fuck if only it were real...life would be so much better

"... Having grown up in a family full of fairies, no, I actually don't know how crazy that sounds," Damien simply said, shrugging - it was the truth, after all, he had been surrounded by magic and the supernatural from his very birth... Especially being as unique as he was even among the supernaturals. "But anyway, let's get going..." he then muttered, as they started walking, before long reaching the park, where there were fewer people, but it was still public - just so the guy didn't think Damien was some kind of crazy guy about to abduct him or some stuff like that.

"Look... I don't know what you are, I've never smelled someone like you before, but you really, really don't smell like a human. And my nose has yet to be wrong in cases like this," he then said, brows slightly furrowed. "But you don't seem like any of the darker races, at least... So that's a comfort..." he sighed and shook his head. "Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself, ignore that..." with the guy thinking he was just human and that magic didn't exist, it would probably not be wise to break it to him that vampires, demons and the likes existed, after all.

But the wonder in Emilio's face when he saw the magic, was all worth it. A soft smile lit up Damien's face, and, well... His skin did glow slightly with that, again, though it was more subdued than before. "I mean, it's not as powerful as a witch's healing spell would be, but it's enough for migraines, joint pain, knitting small wounds back together... That sort of stuff. I think you'd need a witch to cure voices like that, though..." he muttered, obviously contemplating... But sadly, he didn't really know any witches, besides his roomie Miles, and he... Seemed rather odd. So no going to him for stuff like that.

Emilio just looked down feeling more confused than ever, how could he be anything but human...it didn't make any sense...why was he special...he was just a boy who honestly speaking need help and someone to just be his friend...but all this was just too much for him comprehend. But what am i... he said looking at Damien looking like a lost puppy, before feeling a cold rush run down his spine dark races...what are they...like monster...and demons he said a tiny bit of fear creeping into him as the possibility of monsters and demons being real...just like fairies.

But even then the banshee could help the spark of wonder and happiness when he saw what Damien could do wait...so is harry potter real? he said giddily like a kid on Christmas day oh...if there is one...it would be the best day ever...i can't stand it...they never stop and i...i don't know how he muttered before smiling back at Damien can you show me more...like is there any other magic like things you can do he said excitedly as he lightly bounced on his feet. He couldn't help the big smile on his face or the light feeling growing in his chest.

In Damien's mind, there really wasn't any doubt that Emilio wasn't human. There were just some things in his mannerisms, the way he moved, but he couldn't put his finger on what... And of course, the smell. To a wolf nose, such as the one he'd obviously inherited from his father, it was all too clear that he was more than just human. "I don't know... I think I might have smelled someone like you before, but never someone I've really talked to, so... Yeah, I don't know what race they were... And subsequently, I don't know what you'd be." he said, with a small shrug, and intentionally didn't answer on the monsters/demon part. No need to worry the boy more than he already was.

But at least the small show of magic got Emilio's thoughts away from that, that much was visible in his smile and tone of voice! "Oh, well, it's not really like in those books, but magic and everything like that is real, yea!" he told him with a smile. "And I'm sure somebody at school will know a witch who can help you, maybe with a potion or something, I'm sure there's someone that can help with it." he reassured him, with a beaming smile. "Oh, uhm... What exactly do you have in mind? It's not much I can do, as I said, it's not the strongest magic, but small things, I can do! Like... Move small objects, make light, heal small wounds, stuff like that..."

so i could be anything…maybe I am human but your nose is just wrong he said hopefully, he didn’t want to be more of a freak than he already was im normal! I can’t be…he said monsters were real…what if im a monster…I can’t be one. As afraid he was of the concept of being ‘not human’ looking at Damien and all that magic, he couldn’t help but feel butterflies swarm in his tummy. Magic was real…the world did maybe get just a bit brighter. How could it not there was MAGIC! Like real magic! damn so no wands? Or flying broomsticks? he said with a small giggle.

A potion…that would be amazing… he said beaming at Damien anything! It doesn’t have to be big or anything, I just found out magic is real so anything you can do is mind blowing…I mean it’s magic…like actual magic he said jumping a bit not being able to contain his happy and existed emotions from bursting out do all of it! Move something and make more lights! he said throwing his arms up in the air and jumping up and down. Even if the idea of not being human was not something he wanted to think about…this part was not that bad

"Well... Maybe, but in general, wolf noses aren't wrong about stuff like that..." he said, not noticing the slight slip-up there. He hadn't wanted to hint at what his other half was, after all - seeing as people not knowing about the supernatural, probably wouldn't be too keen on knowing werewolves to exist. They were, after all, one of the races that could be sort of monstrous... At least during a full moon.

But either way, he then chuckled and shook his head. "Sadly no, no wands or broomsticks in this day and age. Maybe a few centuries ago, but not right now, no." he said with a small smile and shrug, while displaying that tiny bit of his own magic. "I don't really have any witch friends though, so yea... We'd have to find one to make a potion first." he then said, a slightly apologetic grimace on his face - he'd love to help, after all. But when Emilio wanted to see more magic - well, that's what he got! Damien chuckled, and looked around fora bit, finding random stuff like branches and small rocks - extending a hand towards them, and concentrating, he got them levitating with the fairy magic, before dropping them again - only to make a few small lights, that he got slowly twirling around Emilio.

Wolf nose? didn't you just say you were a fairy? he said evidently feeling very confused by what Damien was talking about, really it made no sense and Emilio was still sure that he and Damien were at least a bit batshit crazy and that this was all one very creative hallucination, that they for some reason both were having...that or everything Damien was saying was very true and monster and god knows what else was real and that was kinda freaking him out.

The chuckle got Emilio out of his head for a moment and a big smile spread across his lips damn...and hear i thought i could meet professor Snape and Harry Potter...flying on a broomstick could be so cool...flying, in general, would be cool...just being able to spread your wings or something like that and just fly away...what i wouldn't give for that he looked back at Damien smiling brightly when he saw him extending his hand and suddenly thing where flying and there were light everywhere!! If this is a hallucination...i never want it to stop

Oh shit... Damien groaned inwardly, because of course the guy picked up on that thing he hadn't even meant to say... Dammit. He coughed discreetly, and scratched the back of his neck. "Uhm, yea, part fairy, as I said... Iuhm. It's only my mother that's a fairy..." he said, and smiled, hoping the guy wouldn't ask more about it. He really didn't want to discuss the werewolf bit if he could avoid it at all.

"Yea, sorry to rain on your parade, but it's only a few parts of it that fit with the actual magical - well, supernatural - part of the world..." he then grinned, shrugging. It would be awesome if everything in Harry Potter had been real, though! Though the guessed the academy was as close to Hogwarts as you'd get in real life, with all the creatures there, all of that magical and supernatural stuff under one roof? At least it felt like it, at times. Maybe especially 'cause he lived in the dorms there. "But yea, flying would be cool... My mom can fly, but sadly, I can't... Wish i could..." he sighed, and shrugged again - downside of only being part fairy, after all. No fairy wings. He had their magic and mood-sense, but that was about it... Unless you counted his kind nature as another thing he'd gotten from that part of his family. But he was smiling as he let one of the small light orbs hover right in front of Emilio's face, seeing all of the excitement on the boy's face...
