Place: Riverfront Gardens in Aston.
Surroundings: Children playing, joggers, people walking their dogs and just some people out for a walk.
Time: 13.53.
Weather: One of the hotter days. The sun is out and there is nearly any wind and clouds.
Outfit: A white shirt, gray shorts and sunglasses.

Seraphina was partly the reason he was in Athena. They had been talking online for a while, and when he mentioned he was looking for a new place to go, she had suggested coming here. He thought he might as well, as he had nowhere else to go. So now it only seemed right to meet up with her. He had been following her on social media for a bit. She was interesting, much more than most people online. He was sitting on a bench, waiting for her to meet up as planned. He had a smoke between his lips and frequently puffed out some air. It made the time go by faster, if he had something to do. Roman was not completely unlogical. He had noticed how people around here seemed stronger, quicker and sometimes bigger than normal people. But instead of thinking it was because of something supernatural, he just assumed it was some drug, doping or something like that. It just made much more sense.
The only thing that had been truly troubling to explain was Michelle's magic tricks. But then again, magicians could do some pretty wild stuff, that seemed like real magic. It was probably just that. He finished the cigarette and threw the rest away. He looked around to see if he could spot Seraphina. He had some pictures online, but he was not sure if she had seen them.

She was trying. And trying worked, every single day she moved past the things that had happened to her over the last years. Today was a good day, the sun was shinning so brightly on the blue sky and with her sunglasses on she lifted her head a little bit feeling the warmth dance over her face. Then she took a sip of her drink, a matcha iced latte she had bought just moments ago swinging by her favorite shop. So, placing the straw between her lips she took a sip while walking, music blasting so ever loud in her ears as she walked through the streets with a confidence that finally had found its way back to her. It was a nice feeling, being empowered by it she exhaled and went to the place where her and Roman had planned their little meeting.

It wasn't often Seraphina met with people whom she had only texted and talked with online. Of course due to her former fame online, she had met fans and people who admired her. But it was something else meeting someone you looked upon as a friend. Also a reason why he was one of few whom she had let into her private account when she had started over on her social platforms only letting the people she wanted being able to follow her.

She spotted him and a smile grew wider on her lips as she walked closer towards him, moving her sunglasses from her eyes up to the top of her head. "Roman, hey -" she greeted him. Well he was taller than she thought, but well she was also often a lot shorter than people expected her to be. "Good to see you," she chose to give him a short hug - after all they had known each other for some time, just online, and she loved giving hugs.

Roman knew the way he had gotten to know Seraphina, was a bit unorthodox. He had never done anything like it before. He was not a daily user of social media, but he was happy to have talked to Seraphina. They had begun talking in a time, where he had felt particularly alone. That made it easier for him to let someone in. She knew more about his situation than most. It had been easy talking to her. Maybe because there was a screen between them. He was not sure what was in store for him, but he imagined they would just go for a walk, maybe get a cold drink or something like that. Pretty chill and down-to-earth.

Roman finished his cigarette and walked over to throw it out. He saw the girl getting closer and instantly recognized her. He lit up more than he normally would when seeing someone. Perhaps it was because they had only ever talked online, and now they were finally meeting in person. He put one arm around her in a short hug. He was not the most affectionate person, but he didn’t mind sometimes.

”Happy to meet you in real life,” he said and put his hands into the pockets of his shorts. ”Should we take a walk?” He looked around, trying to determine what might be a good route. She might know better than him, however. But he wanted to try and be useful. But he had only just been here for about a month and a half. He had used most of the time getting settled in. He wanted to meet Seraphina to thank her for suggesting moving to Athena.

It was an odd feeling being so upbeat when you had been living in your lowest low in such brutal waves as Seraphina had. Maybe it was the excitement of actually being here, meeting Roman in real life, every thing else had just been thrown into another box and she was feeling closer with the older part of herself. "A walk would be lovely," a good walk for her stupid mental health as she liked to say whenever she walked around with herself or Johanna. A walk a day to keep the doctor away, not that it was a saying that worked when both your parents were doctors. "I know the perfect escape route," she chuckled a little, even if she wasn't raised in Aston or Gaia. She had learned the area once she had walked mindlessly around.

"Have you made yourself comfortable in Aston yet?" She wondered giving him a warmer smile looking up at him as she nodded in the direction they should head in. Seraphina knew it was a bit of a risky thing, getting a human to move here who knew nothing about the supernatural.

Roman might have resonated with Seraphina, because she had been through some things herself. Even if it had never been said directly, there was a clear growth to be seen in her as an influencer. She felt relatable to him, which was why he had even followed her in the first place. He smiled slightly, when she spoke of an escape route. ”I hope you won’t need one.” He started walking in the direction she nodded her head. Roman couldn’t help but feel at ease in her company. She just seemed so calm and easy to be around, it was hard not to be affected by it.

”I have,” he said with a nod. ”But I can’t help but wonder what is in the water supply around here. Everyone is practically a super human.” He had been around a few people, who didn’t seem to possess such qualities, and yet they still felt different. Explaining it was a hard task, because there was no logic behind. It was just a feeling he had.

Okay, she had never really tried explaining the supernatural world to anyone, yet the mundane world was already exposed. It was up to them to put the pieces together or live in denial of it all, refusing to see the wonders behind the walls because most humans were so afraid to climb over and see the view. But as he mentioned the world super humans, she knew it was a somewhat tease, a joke even so she cracked a small laugh. "Well - things never really what they appear to be around here," she truthfully responded to his question. Seraphina took a sharper breath in and looked ahead of herself again, trying to pick her own mind.

She could of course just get it out of her chest, yet she was different he would dismiss it and years of friendship would go down the drain because he found her to be insane. "I assume you have found something to make a living off them, what did you chose, casual barista or something more fancy?"

Roman frowned slightly at her words. ”I only believe in what I see,” he proclaimed. Before now, he hadn’t really been exposed to supernaturals. He didn’t know what to think about the strange experiences he had encountered. He had tried explaining them with logic, but that became harder and harder to do. He scratched behind his ear. ”But now I don’t really know what to believe.” He knew some people would be stronger and faster than him, but how they had been, was a little too much, even for someone using steroids.

He nodded to her question. ”I’m working as a bartender at The Sirens Club.” He liked the job. It fit well with him and his schedule. He was also quite good a flirting with the customers, but he rarely did more than that with them. He just thought many of them were boring and didn’t have anything to order. He wanted something exciting and different. Not everyone could deliver that.

... at The Sirens Club she stopped for a moment before looking over at him. Not that she was too fond of Southside and its clubs, but she could name them based on popularity and social media platforms. Seraphina knew it was run by vampires, she had no clue which vampires but it was a fact that vampires combined with Southside were up to no good. "You are working in Southside?" she blinked a little bit, "it's a ... horrible idea," she ended up saying pressing her brows together, choosing to be honest about it. "It's like walking into the lions den, only for it to be a nest of freaking vampires," she took a sharper breath in and shook her head a little bit, no it was not how she wanted to say things. How did she even say something like that?

He looked confused at her, when she seemed very opposed to him working in the Southside. He was about to ask why, until she mentioned vampires. ”Vampires? Stop fucking around Seraphina,” he said and shook his head. However, he couldn’t help but feel some doubt in the back of his mind. He looked at her. His eyes would normally seem dismissive, but this time, he seemed more open to listen. He had many things he couldn’t explain, so maybe, and that was a big maybe, there was something he hadn’t understood before. ”Sorry, I’ll listen. I just don’t really know what to think.” It was a very strange idea, to suddenly accept such things existed. It was something he needed time to digest. It was going to change his whole world view, and that was a difficult thing to handle. But he would try his best.

She clicked her tongue and raised her brows a little bit, fine then she would just remain quiet. Seraphina took a sharper breath in, why was this so heard? Fuck this was frustrating. But luckily within seconds he seemed like he was getting less hostile about her words. "I know, and I'm not really good at things like this. If I had planned any of this, I would have brought Laila with me," her older sister, if anyone knew just what to say it was stuff like that. "The supernatural, things from movies and books, its all real, humans with magical powers and I know I sound insane, and it's a lot, but its true," how did she show? How did she prove it? She couldn't show her wings, she had gotten those ripped off back in October, leaving horrible scars. But she couldn't show him those. "I can do some crazy tricks myself."

Roman was not really sure what to think of it all. It seemed really weird, to mutter the word ‘vampire’ and not get a bunch of weird looks. At least when you claimed they were real. He crossed his arms, when she claimed supernatural beings and magical powers were real. He still had trouble believe it, but how everyone had talked to him before, how people had performed ‘magic tricks’ that seemed hard to explain, how people spoke about magic so easily. It might be real. But he was ever the skeptic. ”Okay, then prove it to me. I need prove to believe you.” He could never trust anything but facts, things he had seen with his own eyes or had been definitely proven.

Seraphina clicked her tongue a little, she didn't like her powers but at least they were somewhat easier to control now than they had been just a year ago. Months ago. So, she turned her back towards him, knowing if she lost control it wouldn't protect him much, but she had to at least make an attempt not to. "See that bench?" She pointed towards it, "I'm going to rip it apart or push it away, we will see how it goes," Seraphina added and took a sharper breath in to make a focus. She didn't wish to destroy the object, but she knew it was likely to happen. But if anything she had mastered the act of pushing stuff and people out of her way when she channeled her emotions, but this was good practice, Diego would tell her that much. So, she got a hold of the bench, focusing on pushing it away and as it was dug into the ground to make sure it would move throughout storms, she still managed to push it hard enough for the bench legs to break and the bench to fly a good meters across the park paths stopping only because of a tree being in its way. Seraphina exhaled a little letting her grip go of the bench. "It works with people too."

Roman looked towards the bench she pointed at. He was still not sure there was any truth to what she said, but he allowed her to try and prove herself. At first it seemed nothing was happening. But then suddenly the legs of the bench broke and it flew through the park. He stood completely dumbfounded and looked at the bench, that now was resting against a tree. He blinked a few times, trying to figure out if what he saw actually happened. He was wildly confused. When she said it worked on people too, he instinctively took a step back. ”Are you a witch?” It sounded strange to even suggest, but what she just did, had to be some sort of magic. He couldn’t explain it any other way, even if he tried. He ran a hand through his hair and began thinking back to everything he had experienced lately. Some things started to make more sense now. ”Magic is real,” he muttered and thought back to that woman, who claimed to be able to do magic tricks. ”She fucking cheated,” he said to himself. He looked at Seraphina again.

"No, not a witch," she assured him, still trying not to take it too personal when people took a step away from her. Given the right thoughts put together, she was a fallen angel, no matter if she had taken a life by accident or in cold blood. "I'm an angel, a fallen angel to be more specific," she then added because well there was no point in lying, and he didn't know what it took to become a fallen angel, not yet at least. "She? Who cheated?" Seraphina wondered tilting her head a little bit to the side. After all she didn't fully understand living in one world then finding out another one was real, not when she had always lived in this one.

Roman didn’t mean to offend her, he was just a little cautious because it was all unknown to him. He furrowed his brows when she spoke of angels. He began muttering in Russian, just trying to wrap his head around all of it. ”There was a woman who claimed she could do magic tricks, but they seemed strange. Was she a fallen angel too?” He had no idea how all of this worked, but he was for sure going to find out. After this, he was going to find all the possible information he could. He needed to do that, if he was going to live in this world.

"Witches are very real, can be very cunning creatures - you have to be very aware of those," she didn't mind witches, but it seemed like if he was at Southside, she would rather be warning him than making him believe not everyone was bad. After all Seraphina was in love with a witch herself. "Take every single legend, myth you have heard about and assume they in at least some days are a twisted version of reality," Seraphina replied. "Vampires, werewolves - angels and demons," she added knowing it was a lot. "Southside is where the darkest creatures lives," not fully true, she knew that, once again she would rather twist the truth a little than having live a life of danger. Because Seraphina knew she couldn't handle going losing someone else in her life, she had reach her limit. And despite seeming oddly fine she knew a drop more in the glass and everything would tumble.

Roman took in a sharp breath through his teeth. He was just trying to take it all in. But it was hard for him to keep his thoughts under control. ”Right.. Angels, demons.. Werewolves, vampires, witches.” He let out a deep breath and sat down on the ground, since she had just pushed the bench away with her mind. He put the root on his hands on his eyes for a moment, before he looked at her again. ”Can you tell me more about witches?” He wanted to know what it really meant. It was hard to believe people he knew were something like this. At this point, he would find it hard to believe there was even humans around here. He would just assume everyone he met was a creature of some kind. First was the woman he had seen a few times as well as Naomi, maybe even Kennedy. He honestly wouldn’t know what to think anymore. He was just feeling paranoid, and he had a feeling that wouldn’t go away anytime soon.
