James couldn’t help but like how Rebekah pictured their son. Something the cat had dragged in, and without knowing it at all, he had an idea that this girl was connected to a cat like creature. James blinked slowly as Rebekah placed a soft kiss on his cheek. James didn’t take his eyes of Lara, even when his wife stepped forward and asked if the poor girl had been eating. A gentle smile formed on James lips as he was mentioned. Yes, he could really use a little pick me up, and virgins was just something very, very special. Even though James was an incubus, he had some manners and boundaries. He wasn’t just going to force himself on her, nor was he going to look for virgins in the city just like that. Most virgins nowadays were so young that it seemed just a little to criminal for James. But, never say never.
As Rebekah told him to go for Lara, he started to approach the shapeshifter again. He looked over hi shoulder as Rebekah asked him for a few vials. He gave his wife a wink to tell her it would be his pleasure to give her a couple of vials too.
James pulled her arm out and invited Lara to turn to follow him, right next to him. “You’re in good hands,” he assured her. “What would you like to eat?” he asked her and looked towards her.


JJ was in the room dedicated to him and was bandaging his hand while he had a frozen bag on the top of his head to minimize the swelling. He was sitting on his bed with his privates covered by a towel, since he had been taking a bath. He was certain that no matter what his parents would be taking… good care of Lara, right? He looked up towards he door as it opened up.

It took every ounce of willpower from Lara, not to let tears escape her eyes. Or to turn around and try to run. Flee while she might have a chance. But that chance had come and gone, and now everything would change for her. Which was one of the reasons that she didn’t do anything, she just stood there. Hands folded in front of her, waiting for the witch to finished with what was going to happen now. Given to the demon, an incubus. Vials of her blood because she was still a virgin. Something she had saved, which had always been odd for many. But if she was completely honest.  Before her parents had died, she had been very aware that she wanted to save it for someone special. Either for her wedding night, or when she knew that this was the person, she wanted to give that to. Standing completely still, as James started walking towards her. Even though he was so much calmer in his movements, all she really saw was a hunter circling in on its pray. Getting her guard down, just enough before he would take what he needed. She had no illusions about this being pleasant, no matter how it would be turned and looked at. In good hands, what did that even mean? “I’m okay, I’m not hungry” she answered, which she wasn’t. She couldn’t even think about eating now, and if she was being honest. She just wanted this to be over as quickly as possible.

The girl was sad. She could tell rather well, alone and left in the hands of the devil. Rebekah had been there, but this was not a fairytale where the evil queen suddenly realized how alike her and the victim were, no too much time had past Rebekah to let that have a say in her plans. Especially with what she needed to do. Now, Rebekah had no intentions of actually killing anyone from the Jones' clan, not unless Killian thought of doing something completely stupid - well with Kieran here, at least someone could hold the rapid dog in a leash. Anthony was another story, she would have to make sure he knew who was in charge still. She had to, just not today - and she knew just how to have him on her side for the brewing battle - at least she believed so. "Don't worry love - I'm sure when this is all over, something miraculous is to become of this. I can feel it." She licked her lips a little as they widened up in a smile. "Oh, and honey - don't be greedy. I would like to chat with her later," Rebekah quickly after them before finally turning around again leaving them.

Rebekah walked up to JJ's door and opened it walking in. Sitting him there sitting on his bed. With a snap of her fingers she had dressed him into something far more suitable. "So, what were you thinking - a shapeshifter, really?" She said as if he had a choice in the matter - well he sort of did. If Rebekah hated the person on the collarbone on herself, or her family members - there was one very easy thing to do, kill the bloody person before they got to the bonding. It couldn't really be that hard now could it. "I'm going to fix it, you will see. Don't worry, she is in the very best hands - I reckon your father just took her to get something to eat. But I rather not have you disturb that delicate little thing."

The girl wasn’t hungry. What a shame. He led her back to her room and once again gestured her inside. This time he closed the door and locked it, keeping the key in his pocket. It was mostly for Lara not trying to run away, because he knew the other would just cast a simple spell and the door would unlock. “What didn’t you understand of making yourself at home?” he asked of her and opened a drawer with a key and a pull. In there were vials to contain blood and a syringe to get the blood into the vials. He brought everything to a table before he turned towards her. “You should really get yourself cleaned up, dearest,” he said and approached her. “You’ve even scraped your knees and thighs,” he said. She had clearly been on the ground, walking around on her knees, and he wouldn’t think twice about it being JJ’s familiar that had found it’s way onto her lap. He picked up on everything, even how her lashes crossed over each other and how her lips and eyes moved. “Let me get you comfortable,” he told her and put his hand out for hers to take. He would make sure that every moment from now on was going to be like a place in heaven.

She got him dressed with a snap of her fingers and he let a hand run through his curls and got up from the bed calmly. “Yes, I-” he stopped himself. He had nothing to say really. He wasn’t the one choosing the destiny on his collarbone, and as soon as he had figured that Lara was his mate, he had used a couple of years trying to deny the fact, but whatever he did, he was just drawn to her and wanted to be close to her. His mother had created the mate bond, so of course, she knew that he was drawn to Lara.
I’m going to fix it.
His eyes glistened as if he had just received an award that he had been fighting for, for so long. “Of course not, mother,” he said and pulled a gentle smile, even though his legs wanted to run towards Lara’s room and make sure she wasn’t going to do something she wouldn’t. After all she was saving herself. “But… What are you going to do to her?” he wondered and scratched his neck a little.

She felt like she could throw up at any moment. But she didn’t, and kept calm as she walked into the room, that he had placed her in at first. Heart pounding and sweaty palms. She heard the metallic lock slide into place, knowing that there wouldn’t be a way out for her now. She could of course use her telekinesis. It would be very easy to make it unlock and run out. Also knowing if she did anything foolish, harmed James in any way. The punishment for her, wouldn’t be as kind as it was right now. She could almost hear how the thoughts about all of this, were kindness. That she should be grateful, that nothing worse would happen. That Rebekah had even told James that he should contain herself, because she wanted to talk later. So, not killing. Which shortly made her think about her first idea, raise havoc and try to fight her way out of here, getting killed in the process. Maybe she was just done, maybe she just wanted to die. Annoyingly enough, she thought about JJ, and what the consequences would be for him, if she acted up. She hadn’t been able to kill him in the alley, so why would she be able to do anything that might cause him harm now? He didn’t deserve it, but she just couldn’t get herself to do it. Her eyes followed his movements as she kept very still in the room. So, she shut down her mind. Every thought, every scream. All of it, she just shut herself off. To her best ability. Taking his hand as he reached out for her. Following along, almost like a good puppet.

Rebekah loosely crossed her arms and looked at her son. Mate bonds were weird, she knew that, had she known she would end up create a parasite such as that - then she would have just not created another warlock or witch. She would have let herself be the only one. Which in these days were highly wished for, even if higher magic users knew when and not to mess with her. She still hated the fact that there were people out there trying to keep up with her magic. But oh well, she should have known better than to let the devil whisper in her ears. Rebekah tilted her head a little to the side, both JJ and Anthony small puppies who just wagging their tails on the sound of a somewhat gentle and soft spoken voice. She knew how to handle the two sons of her, "I'm going to talk to her of course," Rebekah replied back and tilted her head a little bit to the side. "Making sure she is worthy of you," she took a few steps close towards JJ and placed two fingers under his chin making him look at her. The delicacy of how the handled him right now, but that was how she kept him around - sometimes getting a little bit of validation, just enough to go about with. "Maybe you would like to join me in the study. I have a spell I've been working on you might find interesting," she lifted her brow a little trying to tempt him. It was very rare that Rebekah let him go with her to the study, almost like a little treat.

She took his hand, and he could feel that she was shutting herself off like a computer. She wasn’t going to be present. He took her hand and moved her out to the bathroom to sit her down on a stool. He found a bowl of warm water and soap and kneeled down in front of her. “You really don’t have to be scared,” he mumbled and grabbed onto a clean cloth which he dipped in the water before he started to clean her. He started from her feet and slowly worked his way  up her legs. When he reached her knees, he stopped for a moment. “I’m sorry that he tried to force himself on you in the alley,” he mumbled. Though she was more difficult to get access to memories with, JJ was no problem. He had seen how JJ had been acting, and he didn’t think it was okay. He had even seen how he had entered the house where he was supposed to deliver Nicole and how he had been hit by a frying pan and even how JJ had hit Nicole’s boyfriend. JJ was in so much trouble. “He should be respectful,” he said and fixed a cloth with alcohol. “This is going to sting a little,” he said and looked up at her before he moved the cloth towards, he knees. He made sure to look up at her, quite caringly as he put the cloth over the scraped knee.


JJ nodded a little as she said she was going to talk to Lara, and see if she was worthy to him. I sounded reasonable. He looked at her as she put her fingers under his chin and made him look up. She asked him to join her in her study and a wider smile spread on his lips. “I would love to,” he replied, still with stars sparkling in his eyes. JJ had issues, mother and father issues and would easily follow right along, like a loyal little puppy, simply wanting the attention of it’s owner.

She didn’t have to be scared. She didn’t trust that she knew she couldn’t trust that. So, her dark eyes just locked with his for a moment before she pulled them away. Sitting down where he wanted her to sit, waiting for him to get to the part she dreaded the most. If it wasn’t for the part of her just having shut down, to her best ability, her feelings about all of this. She would have hated it. She would have cried and begged. But she didn’t. Almost stoic, as if there was nothing really going on behind her eyes. She watched how he removed the blood and dirt from her legs. Apologizing for the behavior of his son. She didn’t care. Told her that he should be more respectful. She didn’t care.

A small hiss left her, which would show that she was still in there somewhere. Fighting through all of this, but preferably without showing to much in how she acted. She was wondering if she should just ask him to move it along. If she should tempt him more? Maybe that would make things move faster, because dragging this out. Only made it worse. But it was like the thoughts about that, only made it so far. Locking her body in place, not moving, or doing anything. At least not at this very moment.

"Good," she smiled and let go of his chin and took a step back. "Then now, come along," Rebekah turned towards the door and used a simple spell to link it to one of the other doors in the giant manor. There were rooms here unable to be opened by anyone but her. At least not with out a invitation, and she wasn't even sure that she had allowed JJ inside the study before. Bentley and Antionette - even Sarah had been allowed inside before over the years. So, they stepped through the door and she closed it behind them. The vibrant and strong aura og magic were even more intense in here. Filled with crystals, old woodened shelves filled with books and papers, crystals and containers with the most strange things. "So, I've been cooking up a spell to remove some special kind of abilities. Can't have a Jones walking around trying to over analyze every single move we make here in this family," she sighed a bit. A little location spell had been convenient when it came to finding out just how many of those little ants were travelling to Gaia. It was a whole lot. Good she had Anthony's blood to make it easier to track and trace, well at least till some protection spell had been put up after the little encounter in Southside. But by then, Rebekah had at least enough to not need magic to figure out how to get what she wanted. "We just need a few more ingrediencies and then it's good to go. But now your sister has refused to take my calls - seems she is a little bit upset with what happened in Southside, so dramatic really. No one important died," she shook her head a little bit. Well, Anthony's little puppet died, but other than that - she didn't see it as an issue. Okay, had she almost killed Cassian? Yes, but had he died? No. Antionette should just be grateful. "So, we have a little quest to go on. Getting some different herbs, some more crystals," she tabbed her index finger a little on her chin. She needed no such thing, but she had to keep JJ entertained till James had gotten what she needed. Of course she could just ask JJ to go get it, see if he would. "However - honey. First. I need one very important ingredient for this to work. I need the blood of a virgin," Rebekah turned towards her son and looked into his eyes with a warmer smile, just a little bit warmer as she placed her hand on his cheek. "Would you do me the favor and go get me some. Let your father know I sent you," she let her thumb caress the skin shortly before letting go again.

She hissed when he cleaned the wounds, and though she didn’t reply to anything, he knew she was still in there somewhere. “I must say that it’s amazing you were able to keep up with him. Like you said, he’s an ass who in many circumstances should be killed, but it’s not that funny when he asked one to do it,” he said thinking  a little. He got a new cloth and some new water and took her hand and started to wash her hands and arms. He was very cautious of any sign of body language. He wished for her to feel comfortable, but somehow, she simply wouldn’t let herself relax. She didn’t want to enjoy being taken care of.
As soon as he had taken care of her arms and her lower legs, he emptied the bucket and dapped a towel on her skin. “Come on, darling,” he said and discarded the towel and presented her his hand once again to escort her out to one of the stools next to where he was going to tap some of her blood. “We’ll be taking a few blood samples. It’s just like being at the doctor,” he informed her.

JJ was quick to follow along and as he got inside, it was like Christmas lights in his eyes, glowing with excitement. He made sure not to touch anything, because he was so sure that if he touched something, hell would break lose. JJ didn’t underestimate his mother. She explained how she was plotting something for removing specific abilities, and he nodded interested. After all, he wasn’t really a fan of the Jones’ either. They were great warlocks and witches and could really be a bump on the road. He listened carefully as she explained that it didn’t need much more before it would be good to go. It sounded exciting, even more so to see his mother cook a spell or two. A wicked smile spread on his lips as she mentioned how his sister had been dramatic and how no one important had died. Well, there was a reason to why JJ was a little nuts, right? He watched how she was in a thought process and mentioned what they needed. Herbs and crystals. But before that, she needed the blood of a virgin. He looked over his shoulder and pointed towards the door, about to stammer that they probably should stop James before he got too far with Lara. The thought also made him realize a little bit more what was going on. For fucks sake, dad. He looked back at his mother and met her eyes. As she placed her hand on his cheek, he was almost as bewitched as a siren and her sailor. “Of course,” he responded almost forgetting how to blink. As her touch was there no more he nodded a little. “I’ll go get it,” he said and turned around to exit the door again and run towards the room where he believed Lara and James would be.

She let her eyes glide over James, as she told her that it was amazing, she could keep up with JJ. “Maybe, I’m just as horrible and twisted as he is” she finally said, without saying anything for a long time. She still didn’t show any emotions, almost as if she had just stated the fact about something very trivial. Of course, it was nice, being taken care off. If the one doing it, was a person you trusted. That you knew cared for you. Just because he was nice, didn’t mean that he cared. Maybe it was just a kink he had, wanting to make sure that she was suitable before taking her under. Because to be fair, who wanted to have sex with a girl that smelled of dirt and alley. Without hesitating she took his hand again and let him show her to where he wanted her to sit. Her eyes glided towards the vials and needles he had found. Still wanting this to be done with, she used her powers and lifted it all up, and slowly moved it towards James, so he could just take them from the air and start on the process. Placing her arm, using her ability once again, to put pressure around her upper arm, just like a rubber band. Making it easier for him to see her veins. One could at least not say, she wasn’t compliant.

James looked up at Lara and shook his head a little. “You’re not,” he said softly. “You are just very, very hurt,” he told her. It didn’t take much to figure that out. She was traumatized and she had needed to build a new persona to get along with the new world she had to live in. Poor gal. JJ on the other hand never had to build a new persona. He was simply wicked.
She sat down and he was just about to fetch the things, when she so kindly made them levitate in the air for him. “Thank you,” he said with a little smile and grabbed a little tissue to make sure the area was clinical clean where he would be inserting the needle. He then picked up the needle and pressed a little on her vein before he grabbed the syringe, “You’ll feel a little pinch,” he said and shortly after inserted it and put vials onto the syringe so it could pour out. He changed the vials a couple of times before he grabbed a cotton ball and some tape and quickly put it where the syringe had been. He flexed her harm so there was some pressure on the small whole. “Keep it there for almost a minute,” he said and put the vials into a box and closed it. “How are you feeling?” It knocked on the door and James closed his eyes, clearly annoyed.
“Hey dad, mom wants some of the blood, you got some yet?” he asked from the other side of the door. James opened his eyes and looked at Lara. “Excuse me for a moment,” he said and picked up the boxes before he nodded to Lara in an apology. He got up to the door and unlocked it. JJ was almost pressing himself inside, but James kept him out of the room. He quickly scanned JJ’s memories and noticed how Rebekah had told him to tell that she had sent him. “Tell her that’s all,” he said and handed his son the box. She wasn’t going to get any more than that, because he didn’t want Lara to get sick. He then closed the door in the face of JJ and locked the door again.
He turned around to face Lara and walked towards her. “Sorry about that. Why don’t you tell me something about yourself?” it would be much nicer than to have to try and dig the right truths through. Besides, the more she shared, the more she would increase her chance of survival, but he didn’t really want to scare her. He wanted her to feel comfortable and trusted in his company, because clearly, she had such a strong mentality that she had figured out that he had been messing with her mind.

JJ got the box and a door in the face which made JJ take a step back. He blinked a little and thought about whether or not he should insist on getting inside or not. But after a short while he started to run back to the door which had worked for her lab earlier. He opened it and entered. “There’s no more than this,” he spoke and handed his mother the box with vials of blood.

She couldn’t quite figure this demon out. If this was all a game, or that was just who he was. And then, why was he like this? That was the next question that she asked herself. Because, he had looked like her as if he was ready to devour her, and her soul. So why hadn’t he gotten to that point yet? Was he intrigued, was it just a game he liked to play? Or did he indeed need some way to hook onto the person that he was about to feed off, before he could do it. Lara had many questions, but never asked any. She didn’t even get to tell him that she was fine, just a little woozy from having her blood taken. Because then JJ’s voice rung out. Her mind opened up again, and it would be so easy to see the hope in her eyes. That he had come to try to get her out. Mom wants some blood, you got some yet?. It was like he had just slapped her across the face. He was in on it? All of it? He had just used her? Lara looked down at her fingers, feeling how they hurt because of all the confusing emotions going through her head. Lara looked up, blinked a little as she tried to close her mind down again. Not that she was as successful as before. Sometimes, ignorance was defiantly bliss. Tell him about herself? He had seen that she was hurt. “There is not much to tell anymore, my identity isn’t my own anymore, stripped away – so, sadly I can’t tell you anything interesting, because you need an identity to tell another person about yourself” she whispered, which was the truth. She didn’t know who she was anymore. Because what she had tried to regain, had all been a lie. Which had also been the reason why she had taken off when they had gotten to Athena, in hopes that she would find something. Anything, that could recreate who she could be.

“I don’t want to feel anything anymore” she said, blinking a little lazy. “And I would rather just, get this over with, whatever it is that is about to happen” she whispered, letting her hands close around the t-shirt she was still wearing.

Rebekah waited, or she did watch everything rather live to make sure that everything went how she wanted it - and that James didn't have trouble with their son. Even if she knew her husband wouldn't waste any moment just making JJ's memory bend his way. Maybe that was what had screwed JJ up in the first place - always getting his mind bend the way his parents wanted, and yet - it was never quite what they wanted on long term. Rebekah closed the image from her crystal when she saw JJ was on his way towards her again. "No more than this - let's hope your father didn't disappoint," she licked her lips a little turning towards JJ and took the box. She walked to the closest counter where she had been preparing more stuff for the spell, and opened the box. She looked at the vials. Well, now it wasn't a question on whether James said there was no more or not, if Rebekah wanted more blood, she would have it. But for now she was fine with what she had gotten. She picked one of the vials up and looked at it. "Perfect, good job," Rebekah looked towards JJ. "So, tell me my boy. If you could chose. Would you rather want a different mate? Someone who is immortal, and with whom you could live forever - or would you shrink to the mortal life, aging - no more living forever young?" Rebekah placed the vial back in the box and once again turned towards JJ. "Because if she stays your mate, and you form the bond, its game over. You will only have a handful of years left. But, If I fix it for you. You can live forever, and we can make wonders happen." Rebekah clicked her tongue a little bit, a shapeshifter was nothing compared to them.

James immediately noticed how JJ’s voice was enough to let her open up her mind a little. She did indeed hope for the two of them. There was simply something about it. He was quick do dig into memories of her past. Traumas, friends, family, loved ones and how she felt utterly numb. Poor girl. She had been so much at peace the last night, and then his son had simply taken her like some kind of object and dragged her out as if she was his to command. Stupid, stupid boy. Women should act on their own and choose what they felt like choosing. They shouldn’t be forced. They should be respected and adored. He could’ve handled things much better.
He sat down again and she explained how she wasn’t the same anymore and couldn’t tell about herself. “What about telling me about who you were… And who you want to be?” he suggested. He wanted to get to know her. Of course, he could get all the answers from her mind and memories, but first of all, that was no fun. Second of all, that wouldn’t make her trust him. “It’s safe to tell me everything. You won’t get into trouble,” he assured her with a kind smile.
James didn’t believe that this was some kind of kink he had going on, but simply that he preferred that the one he ate from wanted to be with him. They needed motivation and drive and somehow it seemed like there was just so many things to work with her.

She simply wanted to move on and get it over with. He shook his head a little. “No, you don’t, darling,” he moved a little closer to her, but without it getting uncomfortable. He knew she had saved herself so her first time could be something special. “I don’t think, that you not feeling anything is going to be the something special that you’ve been imagining,” he explained and tilted his head a little. “I would like for you to trust me… I’m not going to hurt you. Everything is fine and JJ is okay,” he assured her and looked kindly at her.


JJ truly hoped that James wasn’t going to piss of his mother, because JJ was certain that it would be himself who had to take the trash and not James. He folded his hands in front of himself and waited patiently exhaling a little relaxed as she complimented his job. “Thanks,” he said with a smile. He could sense that she had something going on and when she finally spilled her thoughts. He frowned a little thoughtfully. She stated the obvious but also explained that she could fix it for him and they could make wonders happen. “I… Can’t we just…” he licked his lips thoughtfully. JJ liked Lara. “How would you fix it?” he wondered a little worried. He wouldn’t really want Lara to die, but on the other hand he wouldn’t want to die in just a couple of years… He had so much more potential! So, what would his mother do?

She turned her head a little, eying him as he told her that she wouldn’t be in any trouble. Something told her, that even if she got on his good side, and the woman of the house decided that she didn’t like the sight of Lara anymore, then it wouldn’t be up to him what was going to happen to her. So why would she trust him? And why would she make this easy for him. Because when it came down to it, she wouldn’t really have a choice, he just wanted her to be willing, because then it would be more enjoyable for him, or what?

Narrowing her eyes, as he talked about the fact that she wanted it to special. She leaned forward, as he moved closer. After the death of her family, she hadn’t been all that talkative. So, instead of her telling him something about herself. She just gently picked up his hand, knowing that he didn’t need to touch her to gain access. She had felt how he had pocked around, so easily when she hadn’t been aware. Placing his fingertips against her temple. “Everything about me is in there” she whispered, letting her eyes lock with his. “Enter on your own volition” she added with a low voice. Putting down her walls. Letting him enter every memory that he would like to see. How she had danced and sung since she had been only five years old. Earning pieces, and that was how she had met Howard. Dated him, and how she had ended up hurting him. Mostly because she knew that he deserved much better. But that was something she had always been good at. She had wanted more than Howie strived for. Falling for Aleks, which had also been the reason she had ended the relationship with Howie. The night she had lost her parents. The hours in interrogation. The people coming and helping her get out. The many years of torture and training. Finding out they had been behind it all. How she had killed them. How she had protected JJ from bullies. How she had wanted to be with him that night but had pulled away because she knew that he would die when she died. Which was based on age, whereas his wasn’t. She closed her eyes and went back to the days where she had danced and skated on the ice. How free she had felt, how alive she had been. And now, there really wasn’t much left.

Rebekah knew it was tricky. The mate mark was tricky, at least for younger witches - which she also saw the ones at JJ's age as, young witches who had a hard time fighting the mate mark - of course some had it easier than others, it all came down to their own stubbornness and how they had worked with it. She had met young witches with incredible resistance to the mark. Many of the oldest warlocks and witches she knew had resisted their mark since the day they had gotten it. "I would kill her of course," Rebekah raised a brow a little bit. "Okay, I know you think you like her. But she is mortal, a burden by the second you are bound to someone who can't grant you the immortal life. But don't worry, I would of course be quick. The pretty little thing wouldn't feel a thing," Rebekah looked away from JJ and once again picked up one of the vials, before using the other hand to do a snap with her fingers, making every single candle in the room light up. Rebekah had not created the laws and rules over the bond, far from, she was just the reason it was there - how it had developed over the years and spread to more than just witches and warlocks. See that was a curse on its own. "She is going to slow you down. Is that really what you want?"

He let her pick up his hand ad let her move it to her temple, listening to how she told him to enter with caution. He had seen a little bit of everything by now. Especially after he had harvested all of the memories from the archangel Uriel. He wasn’t going to get overwhelmed. So, he let himself enter her mind. He scanned everything and noticed just how happy she had been and how everything had turned from one day to another. He noticed how she had been acting around his son and how she had been handling the traumas which had hit her one by one. “That is very kind of you,” he replied. It wasn’t like it took a whole long time when she was this young. It only really took a couple of seconds. “Sweet Lara,” he said and looked a little sorry at her. “I can help you, you know,” he whispered to her, already in the middle of working with her memories. He was erasing memories from her. Mending and bending. “I can make the hurt go away,” he shortly pulled up a painful memory, only to erase it shortly after to so she wouldn’t even remember what she had just relived. He made her believe that the cult she had been attending had been for self-defense, and that all of the bad and nasty people were nice and that they were still alive. She made her believe that JJ and Lara had been highschool sweethearts. Innocent and idealistic. “A life like any other,” he presented to her. He even made the killing of her family disappear. They were just on a long trip, and she missed them. And then there was Aleks. Nicole’s boyfriend whom she had been dreaming about. Yeah, no, she hadn’t anymore. She had been dreaming about him, James. He had everything se ever wanted, and now he had invited her inside, and she had told him just how nervous she had been about being intimate with JJ. The conversation had been very deep and she herself would’ve asked for help, because she was scared that JJ was expecting more than she could give.
“Yes, I can help you. I would be an honor,” he told her and caressed her cheek before he let go of her head.


I would kill her, of course. It was like ice cold water which ran down his back and he clenched his jaw a little. His mother cut it out for him. She was mortal, and if he bonded with her, he would be too. She would make it a quick death for Lara. JJ frowned a little while he was processing everything that she said. JJ knew that he was going to be in so much pain if they killed her. He would be in pain until he got the new name, and for some reason, he wondered if there would be anyone else in this world who would be fit for him, because he doubted it.
All of the candles lit up in the room and his eyes looked up at hers. “I don’t want to be slowed down,” he replied and scratched his temple a little. “What if…” he wiggled his jaw a little back and forth. He started to pace a little. He realized just how well Nicole’s boyfriend had hit him. He caressed his jaw slightly, hoping the pain would ease. “Can’t we change her mortality?” he turned towards his mother again. “If not a curse, then… I don’t know change her heart or brain or something,” he suggested and shrugged a little. He wasn’t quite sure what to way, after all, he wasn’t that good with his magic, and he knew that his mother was divine.

She didn’t get to answer if she wanted help or not. She had said that she wanted to be numb, and that the pain would go away. But as he had said it, she felt how things started to disappear in her mind. Her brows pressed together. “What are you doing?” she asked in a hoarse voice, it felt wrong. Almost as she was standing in a cinema, watching how the movie of her life passed her by. Things being deleted and redirected. The more he messed with it, the more confused she got. Leaning towards him, almost needing the support so she wouldn’t just fall to the ground while he worked on everything. Lara closed her eyes, as it was like her entire brain shut off. Letting him work on it, without her trying to stop him. As she had done in the start. Tried to hang on to the memories he erased and replaced with what he wanted her to think had happened in her life.

And as he told her that he could help her, and that it would be an honor. She woke up. A soft smile formed over her lips; her hands found her thighs. “You sure?” she whispered breathlessly, feeling how her entire being was longing for him to touch her. She knew it had been risky to ask him, but ever since she had met him back when her and JJ had started dating. She hadn’t been able to stop thinking about how it would be like if she was with him. So, she had thought up this excuse of her fearing being intimate with his son. “Because I really want you” she exhaled biting down her lip, as her eyes looked into his. Her hands gliding up her thighs to the hem of her t-shirt, pulling off her body.

What if... Two very dangerous words, making Rebekah look over towards her son. Her son of course knew just what his mother was capable off. Most people did, because if it wasn't for her magic, many of today's species wouldn't even be here. Many were nothing without her magical energies to empower them, and people seemed to forget that as the time changed. "Of course I could," she replied. It wasn't the question, it was more so if she wanted to. There was nothing in the cards for it granting Rebekah anything if she did. Why waste precious time? "See, even if I like the way that you think, there is only a tiny little problem - why would I want to, why this one - and don't give me the: she is my mate, crap - I know how that works." Rebekah raised her brows waiting for her son to answer. She sighed a bit, last time some idiots had played with a new spell had caused Athena to get overrun by the living dead - she wasn't really going to let JJ go rouge on this either. "Why is her delicate heart worth my time? Why not kill her, get you a new mate and hope she is better? The pain, come on, don't make a fuss about it. We both know I can help with that if you can't handle it."

He hushed her gently as she asked what he was doing. He aided her the support she didn’t ask for, but he could see that she needed it. It was always interesting how different people reacted to getting their memories messed with, and Lara here had been very calm. It was almost like she fell asleep, and as he spoke to her and let go of her memories, she woke up. “Of course, anything for you Lara,” he confessed. He picked up how she touched her thighs but didn’t look at it. She confessed how she wanted him and suddenly she pulled of her t-shirt. He leaned further forward and let his hands find her hips. “Then let me give you my all,” he told her and leaned in to kiss her once before he tried to get her out of her seat. He was wearing formal clothing but to him it didn’t really matter if it got messy or dirty.

She could do that, but why would she do it? What did she get out of it? It was big questions and JJ knew he had to answer as right as possible. He had to have something great to offer and that was… “She’s dedicated and she actually likes me…” Or at least that was what he was certain of. “She has nothing left to lose and will easily be good in our favor. She is excellent with combat and has more than once kicked people’s ass to show how strong she was,” Okay, maybe that was a little lie. She had been kicking asses to make sure JJ wasn’t going to be beaten up, because she had a soft heart in there. “We both know that I’m not that easy to match up with, so why not take the one who’s willing to work and knows how to fight for herself?” He didn’t know if he was speaking rubbish, but it he believed it was some valid points. Some of them at least.

It was like a switch had been turned on. And as he told he would give her his all, she didn’t need anything more. She had waited for him to tell her those words. Because she had loved him for so long, just for him to tell her that he wanted her. That he would give her everything, even if it was just for a moment. That was all she had hungered for. Even if she knew that he was someone else, and it could never really be them. She still knew that he had wanted to be with her, and that meant everything. Then he kissed her, and a soft sigh left her, as her arms snaked around his neck. Pulling herself up in a position, where it would be easier for her to get his clothes off him, as they moved towards the bed in the room. At this point, things were almost going to slow for her. Especially thinking back on how many years she had wanted to do this.

Rebekah took a deeper breath in listening to the speech that JJ was serving her, almost like someone trying to hire someone for a job. Well, Rebekah hadn't asked for anyone else to join her, or what ever JJ thought she could do. "This is our home, not a circus kid," she reminded him and clicked her tongue a little looking at her son. "If she has nothing to lose, then I guess there is really no reason for her to stay is there?" Rebekah listened further and took a deeper breath in. Why would she need Lara, if she wanted anything with Lara it was to make her stronger. But then wouldn't she just be too good for JJ? Well, maybe she could teach him a thing or two, who knew. Rebekah thought things over. "Your matching up with problem does seem more like a JJ problem than a me problem - so, I'm sorry, I'm just not interested enough," well to be fair. Rebekah was interested, it wasn't that, she just wanted JJ to work for it. See just how far he had sunken for this girl. Because when it came down to it, yes Rebekah valued someone who was willing to fight for themselves, and just didn't take anyone elses bullshit. The ones who knew that to stop being afraid of the dark, you had to become the darkness. Rebekah had been a scared alone kid ones. "But hey, I'm doing you a favor, you will see."

Her arms found around his neck, and he got her up on her feet. He helped her removing his clothing as they moved towards the bed. It went quite quickly with getting him undressed and getting them onto the bed, her on her back and him hovering over her. “Have you ever touched yourself?” he whispered to her between passionate kisses. His hands traveled from her hips and down to her legs to pull them a bit up, and slowly let his fingertips circle in feather like motions towards her private area.

JJ speech didn’t work. Shit. Rebekah mentioned that if Lara didn’t have anything left to lose, there was no reason for her to stay. That wasn’t right. She wanted to get revenge, get back to the life she had if it was possible and according to JJ, be with him. She just had to gain more confidence in her love to him. She mentioned how everything seemed to be more a problem to him than to her, and therefore she wasn’t interested. Shit. What was he going to do? He had to do something. His mind was racing, and he tried to figure out what solution would be the smartest, but sometimes, he never really got to chose the smartest solution and just went with something…. That was indeed what happened always and not just sometimes. She told him that she did him a favor. “I’m sorry mom, but… I don’t see how it’s a favor to kill her. There’s a bigger chance that the next one is going to reject me and end up killing me… You’d lose me,” he said and looked at her with a slight frown. Of course, she had lost a lot through the years, and he certainly wasn’t the only child she had lost. He was probably just one of many in line for a death sentence. “What do you want me to do? I can fuck up some of those Jones’ for you so you won’t get your hand dirty?” he suggested.

Lara slowly licked her lip as she felt the soft bed under her naked back. A soft exhale left her, as she followed along with his movements. After all, she didn’t have much experience in all of this. Which was why she had come here today. To get help, to know what to do when she came down to it with JJ. At least that was what she kept telling herself. That she was doing this for JJ, to make sure that she could satisfy him. But if she was being honest, she had dreamt about this for so long. To feel James, on top. His kisses were divine. She couldn’t remember if anyone had ever kissed her like this.

When he asked her if she had ever touched herself, she made a small soft nod. Feeling a soft tint in her cheeks. As a soft gasp left her, as his fingers started to move that direction. This was much better than she had imagined it.
