| He chuckled a little, yeah, he would rather just open the door and let her get in the car - talk a little bit more, but he had said so himself, one step at the time. Which also meant, no digging into impulses or instincts no matter how tempting it was. Clay had fooled himself thinking it would be easy to get out of here again. He wouldn't have minded making a comment on him being able to use his powers to let him stay -but he also knew it was best if he went on his way, he had already stayed way longer then he originally had planned to. "I'm glad I came by as well," he confessed with a warm smile and got up from the couch turning towards her. "You have some," he moved his hand up and removed a little drop of coffee from the corner of her lip with his thumb. "There we go," he chuckled a little bit, having a hard time letting his eyes leave hers. He reached out and took her hand, giving it a soft squeeze before he was just about to let go when he pulled her into his embrace, closing his arms around her. It had been a while since he actually had held her close, been this close to her and for the moment he just breathed out, not having realized till now how much he had missed it. |

| It was like her whole body was frozen in time, as he reached out and removed something from her lip. She wasn’t even sure what it was because all she felt was the warmth from his fingers that had glided over her skin. Just how much she had missed it, how she had denied herself from it after she had gotten back. Maybe that had been the biggest reason for her to follow him, because she hadn’t given him a chance, she hadn’t let them have a chance after she had gotten back. “Thank you” she whispered, having a hard time to find her voice while she looked at him.
A soft exhale left her, a sigh even as he pulled her into a hug. It took a while, before she slowly placed her arms around him. Closing her eyes. Had they hugged like this since she gotten back? When had they seen each other at the airport as she had come from the gate and walked back into society? She didn’t think they had. So, she started pulling him closer locking her arms around his neck letting her nose breathe in his scent. Not wanting to let go now that she was this close to him. |
