Here's to Future Days

It was just getting lunch with Ethan which was something he actually looked forward too, also again, Ethan was an important friend of Evelina's. Therefor Dion made it a big effort to actually become friends with the guy. He already felt like they were friends, so it wasn't really an issue. Since Evelina also missed being at work so much, getting lunch with Ethan seemed like the perfect excuse for her to actually get out and about. It being a Saturday the boys could tag along, and it was nice. The weather was even with them, despite it being a bit cold it wasn't too bad and the sky was nice and blue. The boys had seemed so excited to get inside and go get Ethan along with Evelina, so Dion had made the choice to wait outside.

That was when he felt an aura so powerful that he couldn't miss it, because it blended so perfectly with his, making his head turn and pressing his brows a little bit together. But then he saw her, a blast from the past, someone he had loved, a part of one of the greater adventures that him and Cassian had been on. It had been a story him and Cassian still told to this date, but it wasn't often the full story was told, they didn't always mention what had went on with Zoe. However, suddenly she was just right there in front of his eyes. "Hey," he breathed out by the sight of her. Angel who walked next to her mother, stopping by how the guy in front of them looked like, well here they were just going to meet Ethan, and she was pretty sure the guy in front of him wasn't Ethan.

After everything that had happened back in august, it was nice to just have a day that was set aside to meet up with Ethan, take the boys and Dion with her and then get some nice dinner. Besides, now she really wanted to meet this mysterious woman that had entered Ethan’s life when he had gone off to California. So, this just seemed like the best ‘excuse’ mostly so Evelina could get out and about and not just sit at home feeling like a whale for every day that went by. She walked towards his desk, feeling like a duck waddling towards him. How funny would that be, if he was also scared of her because she mimicked the one animal that freaked the poor man out so much. And that was saying something, as the man had been dealing with the supernatural world up close, being a hunter and all. “Hello, ready for some lunch?” she beamed pulling him into a hug, quickly letting both Cayden and Theo greet Ethan’s as well.


Zoe was still getting used to being back in this part of the world. So much family, and drama added to that whole thing. Damian and Melanie’s kids, they really were something. Now, okay, then there was Natasha, but she couldn’t really take responsibility for that, right? She had done her duty as a grandmother and been there for the kids until she had died and had to move away to shield them from the fact that she was a very strong and powerful werewolf line. But today Ethan had talked about his good friend Evelina, who had been admitted to the hospital some months ago where they had looked after her friends. And the fact that she wanted to meet her, so it seemed like a good opportunity to tag along get some food and get to know each other. What Zoe hadn’t been counting on, was the man standing waiting outside the precinct. A sharp breath was pulled in through her teeth if she had known she wouldn’t have brought Angel with her today. This wasn’t how she had ever thought they would met, if at all. “Hey” she quietly responded and looked towards Angel, taking her hand and giving it a small squeeze before letting it go. “Wow” she let out a small laugh taking him in, he hadn’t aged a day. But he looked so different. It was always a wild experience standing in front of a person that you had once loved. And how she had loved him, in a way she wasn’t sure she would ever be able to love anyone else. But, Ethan had really awoken something in her. Something so pure that it couldn’t even be compared to what she felt to the man standing in front for her. “I actually didn’t think I would ever see you again, and if I would, it wouldn’t be in front of the police station in Aston” a soft laughter left her, as she walked towards him and pulled him into a hug. It was hard to let go, but she made it a brief one and took a step back. “This is Angel, my daughter” she presented his own daughter, figuring out how the hell she was going to ever break the news. But not here, not like this.

Ethan chuckled delighted as he could see her coming in, if it wasn't for the phone calls to hear if anything interesting was going on at work, then the walk ins just to see what he was doing. Clearly, Evelina was bored out of her mind, and he didn't blame her. Therefor, he let her, giving her just a kick of excitement in her day to day life. Ethan packed a few files away and smiled at her. "Yes, I'm ready," he rolled back on his chair before using the armrest to get up from his seat, giving her a hug as she hugged him. Then sitting down to give both boys a nice and warm hug. "So, where to this time?" Ethan asked, knowing Evelina always had the best places to try out.


Angel didn't know what made her mother take her hand and squeeze it a little, but she didn't think more to it. But as the two of them talked, she realized they knew each other, Angel could feel the energy from him, how it mixed with hers so perfectly. Dion took a deeper breath in just taking Zoe in for this very moment, he couldn't really help but laugh a little by the comment. "No, Well I can say the same thing about you," Dion placed his arms around her in the hug, as she hugged him. "But I assure you, I'm in no trouble this time," he chuckled a little bit with a warm smile as she let him go. Then the attention turned to the girl next to Zoe, and he held his hand out and Angel took it. "Dion, nice to meet you," Angel gave him a warmer smile."Like wise, so, what does bring you here if you are in no trouble?" Angel asked curiously. He looked like he was waiting for someone, "well, my wife and her kids are getting our friend, so we can go to lunch - they should be right out," he looked towards the door.

She couldn’t help but smile how both Cayden and Theo lid up as Ethan the giant man squatted down to give them both a hug. “Well, I’ve been dying for Mexican food, so I found a beautiful place just around the corner” she looked around the workspace and could feel how her whole body was iching to get back to work “any new, interesting cases?” she asked licking her lips, almost hearing how Theo ‘mom’ed’ her. She gave her son a small smile and placed a hand on his head “right another time” she mused, and started waddling back towards door, of all the days this might be the first were she just felt disgusting and uncomfortable.


Zoe couldn’t help but laugh as he told her that he wasn’t in trouble this time. It was hard to believe, but was even harder to believe, was the next words that came out of his mouth. Wife? “Someone locked you down, really?” Zoe said with a soft genuine smile “I really need to meet this woman” she chuckled, never thinking she would see the day where Dion would find himself being able to give up his independence. She turned her attention towards the door and saw a stunning woman coming out with Ethan and two young boys. Evelina looked up watching the two women standing with Dion and looked at Ethan “Oh! This is the famous Zoe huh?” Eve said and walked towards her to shake her hand. How Zoe looked at her with big eyes didn’t go unnoticed, but she turned towards Angel instead “And you must be her daughter” Eve said with a big smile as she took her hand and shook it.

She looked towards Dion and then to Zoe, “Do you guys, know each other?” she asked softly, and Zoe quickly nodded “yes well, we go way back, when he was running around pretending to be a god, who would have thought you would ever find him with a wife and a child on the way” she laughed and couldn’t help but pick one of her favorite memories that she had with him. Evelina smile but could quickly feel how it didn’t feel genuine. Stupid hormones and emotions she couldn’t keep in check. “Well, then it should be much easier to go out for lunch, when everyone already know each other” Eve presented and nodded towards everyone “Just around the corner” she breathed, taking Cayden’s hand, but when she wanted to take Theo’s she found him standing by Angel looking at her like she was some kind of goddess “can I walk with you?” he softly asked rolling on the balls of his feet.

Dion chuckled a little bit when she mentioned that someone finally had managed to pin him down, well it was the reaction he had gotten from everyone - not just most people, every single person he knew. Dion licked his lips a little bit turning his eyes towards the door as it once again opened. "There she is," he smiled brightly at Evelina as she approached them with the mountain called Ethan. Ethan smiled at Zoe and walked up next to her as they came back outside, leaning down to place a quick kiss on top of her hair and pull her into a half hug by having his arm around her as Evelina had given Zoe's hand a shake. Now Ethan had seen many different Evelinas, he had seen the hangry Evelina, he Evelina who had found out her favorite take out place had closed, and so on, but he had never really seen her act - like how she was acting right now, and given Ethan knowing the woman so well, he picked up on the tiniest details.

Angel held her hand out to Evelina with a warm smile and nodded to confirm that she was and presented herself. There was some sort of tension but Angel didn't think much about what caused it, because she wasn't really a piece in that game, at least she assumed she wasn't. But she had to confess, that she was just as curious to where her mother and Dion knew each other from. The tale she replied with, she remembered hearing a few stories about these two guys who played Gods - making her chuckle a little as if she had met a famous person. Dion pressed his brows a little together briefly looking at Evelina as she mentioned it would be much easier to eat now they already knew each other, well he guessed so. "Great, let's get going then," he smiled taking Evelina's hand and lifted it up placing his lips on the back of it as they started walking. Angel turned her eyes to the youngest of the boys, looking up at her with his big brown eyes, how could she even attempt to resist that? "Of course you may," she smiled at him and reached her hand towards him, "then you can show me the way."

Ethan took a deeper breath in, giving Zoe's shoulder a gentle squeeze before he followed Evelina and Dion leading the way towards the restaurant where they were going to eat. Still a puzzled expression danced over his face, as he tried to figure out why Evelina was acting the way she did. Not that Dion seemed to notice that much, but to be fair, the guy also seemed to be told how one felt to actually react to it.

She hated this feeling, how it was just a tiny spark in her heart. But clearly it was all it took for it to blossom and take a hold of her whole being. Almost to the point where she felt like crying, which only made it so much worse. Zoe clearly also picking up on the poor pregnant womans emotion looked up towards Ethan lifting her brows as they walked towards the restaurant with Eve and Dion leading the way. A confused look that turned into a small as she saw how Angel walked down the road with the smallest of the boy. Which mother wouldn’t swoon a little when seeing their own children with another child. Especially now that Angel was an adult and had been for a very long time. Of course, Angel had a daughter, but it had been so long since she had seen that grandchild. She let her eyes glide towards Ethan again, not knowing how he would react when she at one point finally got her act together and explained to him just how old she was, and how much family of hers that were out there.

They finally arrived at the restaurant, Evelina still fighting the rush of emotions running wild in her body. As they stepped inside the waiter came towards them asking for a name for the reservation and then followed them down to the table that had been reserved for them. Almost as to try her theory, Zoe placed herself between Ethan and Dion. Not that it was hard Theo insiting on sitting between Ethan and his newfound friend Angel. Cayden grabbed his mother’s hand whispering he would sit with her. Ending up with Eve sitting between Angel and her son Cayden. Giving her the perfect view of the gorgeous woman sitting in-between Ethan and Dion and her sitting on the other side. She really shouldn’t feel like this, she had never felt like this!

Licking her lips, she quickly grabbed the menu and started scanning it. She didn’t even know what to say, which was so unlike her. “So, how was your day so far darling?” Zoe asked giving Ethan’s hand a little squeeze trying to talk about something, all the while Theo started explaining Angel just how his colouring book worked.

The silence from Evelina was dreading and Ethan tensed his jaw tight observing it, this was so unlike her. But he also knew he wasn't one to comment on it, he didn't know the cause of it, if it was just a bad morning, hormones or a fight with Dion or something. Clearly Dion didn't seem to notice much, or Dion did, Dion just took his time waiting for some sort of signal for Evelina to talk to him. But it didn't happen, she kept quite, which was where he started to panic internally. The guys sat down, and Dion gave Evelina a warm smile, that only fainted a little bit by seeing her look somewhat uncomfortable. He pressed his brows a little bit together as he observed her a little bit, not taking the menu - almost just starring at Evelina looking at the menu in silence. "Seeing anything good?" He carefully asked and took a deeper breath in. Well, since August who could blame him for expecting the worst?

Ethan turned his head towards Zoe as gave his hand a little squeeze and smiled. "We have quite the case today, so it's been pretty interesting," he informed with a warmer smile, giving her hand a soft squeeze back. "How about yours, you and Angel up to anything exciting after lunch?" He then asked looking from Zoe to Angel and back to Zoe. It was such a weird mix of energies around the table, autumn season always began to empower him again after spring and summer, but the powerful energies of positivity from Dion and Angel, was adding a weird mix to everything. Ethan tempted with asking Evelina over to the side so they could talk, because something was wrong, he was just not sure what. Angel looked over to Evelina and gave her a warm smile, "you have some beautiful children," she spoke with a low tender voice, then looking at Theo again and his coloring book. "And that is so cool," she expressed looking at the little boy's work. Dion took a deeper breath in then turning his head towards Zoe, "so what brings you to Aston"? He wondered.

Eve looked towards Dion giving him a faint smile, at first she didn’t hear what he was saying as she was at overwork trying to repress the emotions that was going through her body. ”Yes, yeah, wow, seems like I’m a little out of it today” she laughed, trying to lighten the mood she was clearly ruining by being petty and jealous. Looking towards Dion not wanting to scare him with her maybe being in pain “Just hormones” she added giving him a smile “No pain, I promise” Cayden took her hand giving her a smile before they both turned towards the menu. She did however return her attention towards Ethan that was taking about having an interesting chase, and once again she was overwhelmed with the feeling of being inadequate, that she even though she wasn’t even far long ahead still had been benched and laid off work. She missed doing something in her life than just sit at home. Licking her lips, she breathed in letting her eyes fall on the menu. It was like the words jumpled around and she couldn’t really make sense of what was on it.

“We went for some shopping and catching up” Zoe said with a beautiful smile and looked towards Angel, warmed by the sight of her sitting there with Theo that wanted to show her how he painted. “Thank you” Eve said looking towards her youngest son that was very occupied with whatever it was he showed Angel. She wanted to ask if she had children herself, or siblings. Given how good she where with kids, but the words never left her as she looked down again. This were going to be a couple of long hours.

Zoe gave Dion a big warm smile “Well, this guy” she lagged bumping her shoulder towards Ethan’s shoulder “even though I’m thinking his brother is quite upset I just left everything in his care, I got a big ranch in California, but after I got here and finding out just how much of my family is coming to town I thought, maybe I should stay and find a new adventure for myself” she licked her lips “You know, always the adventures type, trying new things, climbing a new mountain” and here Eve had only ever been a police officer, just a boring old Jane. Her fingers found her forehead as she tried to make her stupid thoughts spiral out of control, not that it helped. “How are you doing, besides starting your own little chapter in life” she said looking towards Eve, that clearly was zooning out of the whole conversation.

Dion nodded and felt a small relief as Evelina told him it was just hormones. Really just hormones were never really easy for Evelina, both their energies mixed up in one kid, it wasn't anything you just dealt with. But he was happy to know she wasn't in any pain. Dion took a deeper breath in nodding a bit, wanting to give her hand a little squeeze, but gave her a warm smile. Then taking up the menu to take a look, but he was curious about what Zoe did here. Ethan had been enough to make Zoe travel to town, making him nod a little bit. She had always been the one to jump at a chance once she got it, it was what they had been supposed to do back then. They had been supposed to travel together after they had gotten all that gold, but Dion had chosen to stay back, stay with Cassian. "I know," he chuckled a little bit smiling by the memory.  "I've been here for a good amount of years. Not doing much, everyday has been a party - hanging out with Cassian, trying not to get into too much trouble, - till this one day where someone opened my eyes to how much more wonderful things life could offer me - this chapter just got started, and I'm so excited to see where it takes us, but it's going to be incredible," he smiled at Evelina with a smile warmer than the sun. Ethan lifted his hand up pulling a lock of hair behind Zoe's hair with a soft smile. Then the waitress came over to take their orders, Dion not holding back on dishes, one could say living with Evelina he had learned to eat more than he usually did, but he didn't mind.

“Of course, Cassian is here” she smiled and shook her head, almost as if they were sharing an inside joke. A soft smile formed on her lips “He always did run around fixing his families problems, but with you” she looked towards Dion “He always seemed so free whenever he where with you, to be fair you always have that affect on people” she looked back at her menu, she looked from the demigod towards Eve, that didn’t even look up as he seemed so excited about the new journey that they were starting. She had never seen him look with such a loving and caring gaze. But she understood Eve, maybe better than anyone would ever do. Being so overwhelmed by feelings that you knew weren’t your own, messing with your head in ways that you weren’t even sure how to deal with. That had been how she had felt it when carrying Angel. But she had been alone, and right now, for the first time she was happy. She had been living in her own house on his uncle’s land and there she had been able to have the best access to all the help she needed. And her alone time.

Zoe gave Ethan a big smile as he pushed some of her hair behind her ear. She leaned towards him placing a soft kiss against his cheek before turning her attention towards the waiter asking if they were ready to order. Dion started ordering, Cayden and Theo both asked for their favourite dishes and Eve nodded, the waiter looking at her after taking the rest of the orders almost waiting for her to add something “Thank you” she said with a smile, almost making the waiter do a double take before she nodded and then took all the menus and walked back towards some of the other tables to take their orders.

Taking a sip of her water she looked towards Zoe and Ethan giving them a small smile. “So, you are staying for good?” she asked, knowing that Ethan had talked about that she had obligations elsewhere. Zoe nodded “yes well, seems like my family could use some help they have travelled from their home here to expand politics or something alike, but to be honest I never really needed to work, and I want to see where this goes” she shrugged looking towards Ethan giving him a smile, Eve chuckling a bit “Almost sound like you’re royalty or something like that” Zoe almost choking on her water before looking towards Ethan giving her a apologetic smile wasn’t really how she had imagine telling him “Well yes, my father is prince” she licked her lips and shrugged “But that never really defined me, we have a long of strong bonds of royalty in our family not only, blue blood as you would call it” she laughed taking Ethan’s hand squeezing a little. Eve just started and then cleared her throat “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to” Zoe waved her hand “It’s fine, rather say the truth than lying now that someone figured it out, you really are an outstanding detective, you must miss it” Eve nodded a little, turning towards her glass of water taking a sip. This woman just became more and more intimidating.

If there was one person Dion would chase around the world it would be Cassian, as a matter of fact he had done so for so many years. Of course there had been years apart, but they always found each other. "Cassian is my family, he used to be my only home - now I have two," Dion confessed before looking over at Evelina. But truth to be told, many found freedom spending time with Dion, it was just the energy he fill a room with, so much stronger in this moment because of Zoe's daughter. Which did make Dion narrow his eyes a little bit, wondering, mostly because it was rare if ever he had encountered an energy so much like his own.

Ethan's jaw dropped a little by Evelina nod adding more to her order, so he did for her by adding a few extra things he knew she usually ordered along - just in case she changed her mind. As the waiter walked away and Evelina asked Zoe if she was staying. Ethan did know that Zoe had a lot of family in town, family he had yet to meet. Zoe had met part of his having Tamila work for her back in California and then of course when Elenora had went by to stay with them alongside Archie the last few days before heading back to Aston. But it was when Evelina mentioned that it sounded like Zoe was royalty that he chuckled a little, of course thinking of it being a joke, till Zoe mentioned that her father was a prince. He blinked a little bit, looking to his girlfriend's side, his jaw dropped just a bit more. Dion chuckled a little. Ethan picked up his jaw again as Zoe's squeezed his hand. "I guess you learn something knew every day," he chuckled delighted, lifting Zoe's hand up and placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand.

“I’m happy for you” Zoe said with a bright smile, looking towards her daughter knowing that more of Dion’s family was sitting right in front of him. And she had no idea how she was supposed to breach the subject of actually telling him that she had kept a daughter from him for so many years. Maybe it had been wrong of her, but at that time he hadn’t seemed interested in raising kids, and even being with anyone that could restrain on his travels, adventures, and constant party. So, she hadn’t burden him with that, and besides she had always thought she had been more than enough for her daughter. Knowing that the wish to figure out where one came from was important.

Zoe couldn’t help but chuckle when seeing how Ethan reacted on the news of actually dating a royalty. It wasn’t really because she had much to do about it, just because one could have the title of princess, didn’t mean it could have much impact. Even though she had spent a lot of time in her ancestorial land, helping when she could. “It would be boring if you didn’t learn something every day, wouldn’t it?” Zoe theorized and leaned in to place a soft kiss towards Ethan’s lips.

There was a period where everything just was a natural and nice conversation between the table. Even though Evelina was unnaturally quiet, as she didn’t really understand what she was feeling, or she did but could pinpoint why. Food came, and Zoe happily dug in. “This is really good Eve, perfect place” Evelina gave a smile nodding, even though she was more or less just moving food around, making sure that her sons got something to eat rather than eating herself.

Finally the food came to the table, Ethan hungry after a quite the early morning he had had. Almost not having had time for breakfast so he was excited to get some food in to hopefully get his energy levels up - luckily for him, the sun began to go down earlier every day this time of year. Ethan started therefor to dig in very fast, assuming everyone did so, till he looked up. Something was entirely wrong with Evelina, that was for sure, and for a moment he feared his powers had infected her in some way - but he also came rather quickly to the conclusion that it would have been mostly outweighed by the heavy energies from Angel and Dion - or maybe he was wrong.

Dion didn't touch his food either, mostly because of the concern of Evelina not eating. She had done nothing but happily eat doing most of the pregnancy, then he started to actually use his brain, and put his mind somewhere else, and licked his lips a little. "Buggers," he breathed out, "seems like, that they forgot to give my side dish," he breathed out, very well a lie, he had not ordered more than delivered, "Eve can I borrow you for a second, to help me get it?" He asked with a soft and calm voice as he slowly got up, very much just an excuse to get her one on one. "It will only take one second," he assured. "I will look after these two trouble makers," Ethan assured with a tenderer smile. Dion then took a few steps closer to where she was seating, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. He just wanted to make sure she was alright, know what was going on, and the best way in his mind to do so, was getting her somewhere, even if it was just around the corner, but a place where two strangers weren't sitting and getting in her personal space. It was very likely she could dismiss him, not wanting to make a scene out of it, but he couldn't just ignore that she was acting beside herself.

Evelina looked up a little confused as Dion seemed annoyed by something. Or annoyed as a person like Dion could be, talking about they forgot to give him his side dish. Zoe looked up as well, about to tell him he hadn’t ordered anything else that hadn’t been brought to the table. But she realized, both looking at Dion and Ethan, that something was up with Evelina and decided just to look back at the food and kept eating.

“I don’t -” Eve started as he asked her to come with him, looking at the other people around the table, before she turned her attention back to her husband. “Okay” she finally agreed and got up from her chair and started waddle after him. She couldn’t help but let her eyes fall back on the table. Seeing how both her boys seemed so natural around Angel, Zoe and of course Ethan. But they had known Ethan since they had been quite small. A little unsettled by the whole situation she placed her hands on top of her stomach and looked at Dion, waiting for whatever it was that he wanted with her. Funnily enough not understanding why they needed to talk. “I don’t think you ordered a side dish” she then spoke softly, trying to keep her emotions in check knowing very well that it wasn’t going as well as she would like.

Around a corner where they were slightly shield from the table, Dion leaned against the wall to his left. For someone who always was up to speed and knew what was going on, the reason for him pulling her off the chair made her oblivious to his end goal. "Because I didn't," Dion breathed out and tilted his head a little to the side and took a deeper breath in. "You sure you want to be here?" He stepped from the wall and closer towards her, cupping her face with his hands, keeping his eyes on hers. "Say the word and we get things packed up, and we can go back home and eat- I'm sure the others will understand," Dion suggested while his thumbs caressed her cheeks. He could see she struggled, and he wanted her to be able to be honest with him. He knew that their child caused her to feel some extreme emotions sometimes. It bugged him that there wasn't really anything that he could do, so it was one of the reasons why he acted on what he could do. If it was anything about the situation, he could get her out of there. "I'm here okay? What ever you need."

It was a clear confused look that glided over Eve’s face as he told her that he hadn’t ordered any side dishes. Then why had he taken her aside? But she didn’t have to ask or wait long before he asked her if she even wanted to be here. Her lips folded together, and she could feel how the question overwhelmed her, almost being enough to let tears form in her eyes. It didn’t help when his hands found her cheeks, making her pull in a deep, almost distressed breath. “No, no it’s okay” she tried to assure him, not that she sounded very convincing. Her lips pulled back into a pained smile; she didn’t want to be that kind of woman. Being jealous or walking out of dinner dates because she couldn’t handle emotions. This wasn’t anyone’s fault, she knew that. But she just needed. She had to stop that thought because she wasn’t even sure what it was that she needed. Eve took a step towards him, placing her forehead against his closing her eyes. A soft smile spread on her lips, drawing his joyful energy into her heart. Opening herself up to him, where she so often closed herself off so not to be too affected by his powers. “I’m just insanely jealous” she let out a soft laugh, and then pressed her lips towards his. Already feeling how just being alone with him helped on the whole situation.

Her stepping closer toward he closed his eyes as her forehead leaned against his, and he reached for her placing his hands on her waist. I’m just insanely jealous, he chuckled a little, it was just pure instinct. Jealousy was a funny thing, he hated whenever the green eyed monster fell upon him, it didn't often happen, because he just wasn't built like that. But before he could assure her with his words that she had no reason to be jealous, he felt her lips on his, and Dion didn't waste anytime before kissing her back. He send a few calmly blissful waves through him towards her, letting her nerves settle down, before he let their lips part again and he moved his left hand towards her cheek. "You have nothing to be jealous about, okay. You my wife, and I love you so extremely much that it might be illegal," he whispered tenderly, letting his thumb caress over her lower lip. "Nothing, or no one can change that," he traced his thumb further over her chin, before leaning in placing a short soft peak on her lips. Then he let go of her face and pulled his head a little back taking her in to scan how she was feeling.

For the first time in weeks, she could feel how his ability to calm people around him, washed over her and actually worked. As if their daughter growing inside of her, could feel it and knew it came from her father. It was almost enough to send the already emotional Eve back into tears. But she managed to keep them at bay and a soft smile formed on her lips instead. Especially as he told her that there was nothing to be jealous about, and that she was his wife. When he then proceeded to tell her that he loved her so much that it might be illegal, she couldn’t help it and a laugh left her. “Well, good thing I’m off duty, or I might have to arrest you for doing illegal things” she mumbled, as his lips cascaded hers. A soft sigh left her, as she wanted nothing more than to kiss him a little longer. But she also knew that they might needed to get back. “Thank you” she then told him, opening her eyes letting her deep hazel find his. Her fingers dancing over his cheek, before letting them glide into his hair. She really did love him just as much. Which might also be the reason why she was so afraid of losing him. Her last husband had turned out to be the exact opposite than what she had thought he would be.

Dion couldn't anything but laugh a little when she did. "Oh really, well you are the only one I would allow to arrest me if it came down to that," he whispered a little leaning closer to her. Dion knew they had to get back to the rest of the others, but he also wanted to make sure that Evelina was okay before they did so. "I'm here for you, I will always be right here for you," Dion reminded her with a soft curl on his lips, before pulling her back into his embrace, placing a soft kiss against her temple. "Ready to head back to the others?" He wondered in a lower voice. At least the boys knew Ethan, so there was nothing to be concerned about regarding letting them sit together. Dion however, did not want to push Evelina to walk back to the others if she needed one more moment. Evelina had done what everyone had thought impossible, made him want to settle down and start a new chapter in his life where he could start a family, no one had ever made him want this before not till he had met Evelina. It was rather funny that meeting the right person could change your entire perspective on what you wanted in life, no matter how old you were.

She shook her head with a smile on her lips. This man, at time she could swear that he was an angel send her way to make sure that her life would get on the right cause. She didn’t need guardian angels or promises of a better life. Because she saw all of that when he looked into his beautiful brown eyes. She pulled herself closer to him as he hugged her. Placing her head against his shoulder after he kissed his temple and asked if she was ready to head back to the others. “Just give me another moment” she whispered, just enjoying being this close to him. Not really wanting to let go. But eventually she did, and slowly pulled herself away. “Yes, let’s” she whispered raising herself on her toes to give him a kiss on his cheek.

When they came back, she smiled looking at how her sons were eating and chatting lively with the others. Zoe looked up giving both Eve and Dion a soft smile before returning to the conversation that was happening in front of her. Cayden walked towards his mother and pulled her over, placing her on his seat besides Dion. Just as she sat down a giant kick was felt in the stomach. “Oh!” she laughed, and placed her hands on the stomach, “she really is kicking now” she chuckled smiling towards Dion before starting to eat. Of course, she could apologize, but it seemed like it just naturally went back to talking and laughing. Especially since she herself started eating like she normally would. Feeling how her oldest son placed a head against her arm, before she put it around his shoulder and pulled him a little closer.

Dion let Evelina take her time after all it was her who had to deal with all the overwhelming emotions. So, when she was ready they headed back to the table to the others. Dion giving Ethan and Zoe, and Angel a thankful smile for having entertained the boys while they were out. Then he sat down. Getting back to the food, it hadn't gotten completely cold just yet and was still very much enjoyable to eat. "So, anyone want deserve, how much time to you have before your break is over?" Dion wondered and looked towards Ethan after they had finished up their lunch. "I have a moment or so," Ethan replied with a little nod, knowing he couldn't stay for much longer, but also didn't really want to leave. Dion had only gotten his curiosity even further peaked by Angel that sat almost in front of him, her energy, there was just something - and maybe he had watched two many crime drama's with Evelina in the tv, just so she could yell at the tv for not portraying anything correctly, while he just found it rather consuming and he was hooked from the beginning to end. But there was something about Angel he couldn't place, not in the criminal sense, but he just couldn't place her energy. "So, you two have just been travelling around?" He asked curiously looking towards Angel and then Zoe.

Theo was quick to raise his hand when Dion asked if anyone wanted dessert. Cayden that was extremely quiet after he had sensed how his mother was doing, just placed his head against her shoulder. Eve placed a hand on the other side of his face and placed a quick kiss on the top of his head. “You want some too?” she asked as he nodded. Then she looked towards Angel and Zoe seeing if they would have some before, she waved the waiter over that quickly came and took the last and final order. Then she started taking the plates that was now empty from the food.  

Eve looked towards Dion when he asked if they had just been travelling around. Zoe nodded a little “well, we did that for a while after living at my homeland for a time, we never really rushed around but explored and did humanitarian work, Angel got married to a warlock that had to leave when he found his mate, but not before I got myself a beautiful granddaughter” a sympathetic smile formed on Zoe’s lips, knowing it hadn’t been the only one that Angel had been with and lost. There had been others, but those seemed too private to share. “I myself, found some time in Russia for a while, but given my powers, I had to leave because they were all humans living in a world without the supernatural in it, and in the end, I then ended up in California where I had a ranch, and now I'm here” she explain before she would let her daughter tell her own story of what she wanted to share or not share.

Angel nodded towards Evelina as she asked if she wanted dessert as well, who could say no to dessert? So, she smiled thankfully before turning her head towards Dion's question and her mother starting to answering it. Angel nodded a little bit, she had liked staying at Theronida since last time she had died, which was two years by now, but it had been important for Angel to recover from that experience, all deaths were traumatic one way or the other, but the last one had completely shaken her beyond anything else. But she chuckled shortly by the mention of Oliver, yes, that was another sad love story - even if it had been some beautiful years. Angel still felt bad for what had happened to Oliver after that, even if it had nothing to do with her. "Sounds quite like the adventure - so ranch life wasn't for you?" Dion asked Angel, who took a deeper breath in. "Well I lived close by for a good couple of years - till life wanted me to go somewhere else, so I went back to Theronida and stayed there for some time with some of the family," she replied with a soft smile. "But as of right now, it's just another day and we see where it takes us," she chuckled a little bit and leaned a little bit back in her seat. Even if she did do way more than that, being interested in economy and loving working with finances she had been helping the family overall as well, but she liked giving a hand whenever she could. "See that is a philosophy I can get by - or you know," Dion chuckled, living one day at the time was pretty much how he had lived over the past three hundred years by now.

It seemed as the conversation started focusing mostly between Angel and Dio, that there was a silence that spread over the rest of the table, mostly because it seemed like everyone was thinking the same thing. How much these two was starting to remind of each other, in energy and how they looked. Now, one of the people at the table knew that it was true, that this was daughter and father. But she still didn’t say it, because how could you just burst open that can of worm saying, oh and by the way Angel met your father, Dion met your daughter? You couldn’t, not when it was ambushed like this. She would much rather talk with Dion in private, let him make a choice if he wanted to be involved in a way that wasn’t really possible anymore. Well, at least she felt more comfortable telling him, seeing how he was with Evelina’s kids. Also knowing very well that he hadn’t been ready for that responsibly, at least of all with her. Not that she blamed him, it had been another time. And a horrible love triangle that needed perspective for her to see just how horrible it would have ended out, hadn’t they all split their ways in the end.

“To be fair you still live like that Dion” Eve laughed giving him a caring smile, one of the biggest things for her to do, was never to take away Dion’s freedom to do what he pleased. Or take the day as they came. She had fallen in love with that spirit, and she knew that consequences of them too. All she needed from him, was the fact that he loved her, and he would be there when she needed it. As she would for him. Other than that, he lived his life as he found best, and as she did hers.

Dion nodded a bit, well he knew that he still lived by that. Not as careless as he had done before meeting Evelina, but he still threw parties now and then. Mostly like Cassian once had said; Dion was like Tinkerbell, he would die if he didn't get enough attention. It was still a shock to many whenever they heard where Dion was today, married, expecting a child - well, no one was more shocked than Dion, he just had learned to adapt many years ago, even to unknown situations.
But after having gotten their dessert and had eaten it, Ethan had to excuse himself and go back to work, not that he wanted to. He would much rather just sit here and talk to everyone. So, he gave Evelina a warm hug, before giving her sons one as well, then turning to Zoe giving her a kiss, "see you later," he whispered against her lips before pulling her away, "you have fun," he looked towards all the others before escaping. Dion waved to Ethan. "So, what do you want to do?" He asked Evelina. Well, Dion wouldn't mind sitting catching more up with Zoe, and he was still very curious about Angel. However, he wasn't just going to leave Evelina and the boys.
