| Dedicated to @DionDATE | 24th of august 2021 TIME | Around 6 pm ATTIRE | Lose pants and a grey sweater, hair up in a messy bun ____________________ It had been such a beautiful time after Dion and her had gotten married. Even though they hadn’t really had the honeymoon one might wish for. They hadn’t really needed it, Dion and Cassian had taken some days of, relived the glory days or something like that. Eve had had her last days on the police force, and now she used her time getting ready for the new one but also spending much needed time with her sons. Picking them up from school, being there every day, every hour of the day. Which was something she had never had the pleasure off. “ I think I might have over done myself” she laughed looking at the big spread of food she had made for dinner. She had seen some new recipes online that she wanted to try off. And somehow ended up backing cakes, making dinner and bread for an army to feed. Theo had been helping her as best he could, while Cayden had been in the living room reading. She was still amazed how humble they both had stayed even after it was clear that money wasn’t an issue anymore. Eve placed a soft kiss towards Dion’s cheek as her phone started ringing. “ I’ll just take it” she said with a soft voice as she walked towards the small study that she had placed it in. Her brows pressed together as she saw it was an unknown number. “ Hello, this is Evelina” she spoke a gentle voice on the other end told her that they were sorry to inform her that Garrett Carter had passed away. There was a small thud as Eve’s legs gave up under her and she fell to the ground. Her phone landed beside her as she sat there looking empty towards the phone. Garrett Carter sadly passed away last night. The gentle voice that had told her. Repeated the words repeatedly in her head. The voice on the other end kept asking if everything was alright and trying to get back in touch with her. |

| Dion had been out most of the weekend, despite wanting to put down his roots and be there all he could, he couldn't help but need the energies he got from being at his parties. It was one of the main reasons why he had two homes, so he could one time to another just fuel up. And one thing that had been nice had been having Cassian with him to celebrate a little just like old times. But now he was back, recovered from his surprisingly light hangover from Sunday. "It looks lovely darling," he smiled while letting his eyes wonder over the trey of food, "and I hear you did all the hard work," he winked at Theo with a warm smile on his lips.
Evelina's phone rang which had him frown for a second, but nodded when she said she would take it. However, he was somewhat couldn't help but listen in, all curious. Which he was happy that he did, making him quite aware when he heard her knees meet the ground. "Cayden, why don't you take your brother upstairs for a minute?" Dion gave Cayden a comforting smile, before he got up and rushed over to figure out what went on with Evelina. "Hey hey," he sat down next to her and placed a hand on her back with a concerned look in her eyes. He took a look down at the phone and picked it up. "Hey, this is Evelina's husband, Dion, who is this?" He asked to the phone, getting the same information Evelina just had gotten, and took a deeper breath in. It wasn't really like he didn't know this day would come, people like Garrett tend to have very low chance of surviving prison. And was Dion shocked that he was gone? No, really not - Evelina deserved better than that guy. Her boys deserved better. And Dion wasn't really worked up on feelings like shock, it didn't come natural for him to carry negative emotions. He hung up shortly after and turned his full attention to Evelina. "Hey, look at me -" He moved a finger under her chin to guide her face towards him. |

| It was like she could breathe again as Dion’s hand found her back. Her blurry eyes looked at him, not understanding or comprehending the information she had just gotten. Because one part of her brain was telling her good riddance that he was gone, so he no longer could hurt her or the kids. And the other was telling her what a horrible person she was because she had wished for it to happen, and now it had.
Hey, look at me
Eve slowly turned her face and looked at her husband. Her beautiful caring husband. A soft smile formed her face. “I am looking at you” she whispered and then closed her eyes for a second to refocus. “I’m sorry I scared you” she mumbled and pressed her brows together. She still felt horrible, and she could feel how sweaty she was and uneasy her body was feeling over the whole situation. But as everything else Eve was a master to push it down, mostly because she was afraid that it shouldn’t matter. This was a man that had hurt her in so many ways over so many years. She simply shouldn’t care. And she did, why?
Another deep breath in and a deep sigh left her. She then got up again placing a shaking hand in Dion’s before looking around. “The boys?” she asked as she walked out of the room towards the kitchen again. They had been making food, so, it was dinner time, right? She placed her hand against her forehead. She was suddenly so dizzy. |

| He could feel the stress in her body, there was no lying for him regarding that, it was even trying to overtake him - but as always stress never really got to touch his body, not unless he had been self isolated for months without anyone, that had only happened a few times in his life - never again. "No, it's okay, it's alright to be scared," he replied with a more tender smile, trying to keep inducing the mental state as at least positive. Or he tried. "They are upstairs," he breathed out as she asked about the boys, and he felt himself hold his breath for a moment. He was worried about how pale he thought her to be right now, perhaps it was just the shock. He followed her up, not very fond of leaving her side, but he also knew better than to cling onto her, even if he was worried. It was the way her body was shaking, an observant eye was on her from the second she started walking into the living room. The way she placed a hand against her forehead. "Hey, how about you sit down, and I will get you some water okay? You look a bit pale," he took a deeper breath in walking over to the table to pour up a glass of water that he handed to her, standing by her side, while letting the other hand run over her hair, letting his fingers brush through the brown locks. Dion took a sharper breath in, see he hadn't much experience in pregnancies' or anything like that, but the amount of stress and pressure she had been under the last couple of months couldn't be good for anyone, not even for people like Evelina who lived with a sense of calmness over her. There was a limit. There was always a limit. "How are you feeling?" He asked with a lower voice, the worry playing in the undertunes, even though he liked it not to show too much. She already had enough to worry about, adding his worries to the list wasn't what he wanted. |

| Sitting down. That actually sounded like a really good idea. A soft hum left her, as she walked towards the couch and sat down. “Some water would be nice” the words felt weird in her mouth, and it almost left her without any real volume to it. She cleared her throat and let out a heavy sigh. She was thankful that Dion was both so thoughtful but also that his powers did help a lot with her worried mind to calm down.
Her brown eyes looked up as he came towards her with a glass of water. She let her hand find their way around the cold glass and took a few steps. Closing her eyes as he let his fingers run through her hair. It always helped whenever she felt to stressed out or worried about something. As it always took her back to when she had been young, and her mother had placed herself beside her in her bed and just lying there brush her fingers through her hair. “Mmhm, better” she whispered with a weak voice and knew that even though she felt better it clearly wasn’t good enough. “I think I might need to lie down” she whispered as she took another sip of water. Her eyes almost closing at on their own. Yes sleep, might be the answer to all of this. She let her chestnut brown eyes find his and gave him a tiny smile. “Sorry” she tried to chuckle, but the smile didn’t last long before a tired grunt left her and she placed her face in her hand that wasn’t holding the still full glass of water. |

| It was the gut feeling that bugged him the most. The fear creeping up on him, screaming in his face that he shouldn't get too comfortable right now. His heart was beating so fast, he wasn't even sure he had ever felt it hit that speed level. It was the sound of her voice, how weak it sounded, because he knew just by that sound - that something was wrong. Dion was used to her being strong, used to her shield her boys from everything their father had put her through. Even if she didn't know it, he knew how much strength she carried and how much he admired her for it. It couldn't have been easy ever, to walk around and learn the toxic and disrespectful way Garret had treated Evelina had been love. It was far from love, and he could still not even believe anyone would have treated Evelina the way Garret had, it was unacceptable.
Dion could feel his jaw tense up, by the small smile, his chest felt tight and his eyes didn't want to leave her side for a second. "Maybe just sit for a moment, take a few deep breaths in, we are in no rush - okay?" Dion took a deeper breath in himself and pulled a chair closer to her, so he could sit next to her. "Want to talk about what happened?" The demi-god asked, he knew what had happened. What he didn't know was how she felt about other than the shock that was going through her system. And even as he moved his fingers through her hair, trying to calm her nerves, he feared it wasn't enough. No one should go around pregnant with that levels of stress Evelina had been through lately. No one should have to be that strong all the time. "Eve, what's wrong?" |

| ”Okay” she whispered in a small voice, it helped that he was near. He always found a way to calm her down or make her feel better. But even though his presences as always made her calm down and feel more at ease as cheerful. The growing child of theirs, was doing such a big number on her mental state that she couldn’t always follow along. Not like she had been able to with her other two pregnancies. Things like this didn’t normally affect her this much. But it was like everything was being was cranked up on high volume.
Her fingers glided over her face as he asked if she wanted to talk about it, letting her dark eyes find his. A small sigh left her, mostly because she didn’t know how to start the conversation. “Its just” she mumbled and closed her eyes trying to stop the tears that wanted to escape. The man didn’t deserve anymore of her tears. He didn’t deserve anything of her. “I’m, its hard to understand, and it’s just too much to deal with all at once” she tried to convey how she was feeling as best as possible. But she could have told him she didn’t really know, and it would be the truth.
As he asked what was wrong, she noticed how her brows was pulled together in a pained expression and her hand had found her stomach. When had she put the glass of water on the table? “I don’t know?” she looked towards him very confused. “Maybe I should go lie down? Would you help me get up to the bed?” she asked trying to get up, almost tripping over her feet as she felt how dizziness rushed over her. |

| He could swear time slowed down, how he felt like it took years between her words. Dion was rarely worried, that emotion wasn't one that usually found him but ever since him and Evelina he felt like he had something to lose. He of course had some very valued friendships, he had Cassian who was pretty much the closest thing Dion had to family, but this thing with Evelina was different than anything he had yet to experience. So, seeing how she tried to stop the tears from escaping her eyes, he held his breath just wanting to tell her it was okay to let them out. "You are shock, it's normal to be a little all over the place," he replied back to her, lifting her hand up, giving the back of her hand a soft kiss. Dion had lost people before, friends and family, but he had also lived a long life - you couldn't live a long life without loss. But he wasn't blind to something being wrong, it was just a gut feeling really.
Then it hit as she pulled a more pained expression and her hand found her stomach. His entire world started to burn in a forest fire of panic. The confused expression that painted on her face, he was just as confused if not more. Maybe she was right, maybe she just needed some rest because of all the stress. He nodded and got up just around the same time she did, noticing how the wave of dizziness fell over her, and he rushed next to her, so he could support her. "Maybe we should go to the hospital, just to be sure," he took a deeper breath in guiding her towards the sofa. The hospital wasn't far away he could make the drive, "we can call Ethan, and he can take the boys till we get back. Don't argue with me on this please," Ethan was the one who lived closest by and a close friend with Evelina. Dion would rather call over Cassian or Irina and Nigel, but Ethan was almost just around the corner. Dion looked so worried it screamed out of him, it was odd for someone who usually seeemed so calm and collected. |

| She wasn’t too proud not to take his arm as he reached out and supported her. Something was wrong, she could feel it in her entire being, but she was just so afraid, that she didn’t even want to acknowledge it at this point. Even though so many things had happened, so many good things. It could easily be overshadowed by just how much hardship they had been going through. And not particular Eve herself, but her friends around her. Ethan that had to take leave and run away to California to get some perspective as he had explained it. Friends that had lost close friends. People close to her working and not having much free time if at all. Hunters, and death hanging as a cloud over Athena, which would affect anyone. Especially now when the child wasn’t letting her have the normal calm state of mind that she normally had. So, if anything was wrong with their daughter, she wouldn’t be able to bear it. She couldn’t.
“Okay” she licked her lips and breathed in “Okay, I’ll call him and hear if he has time” she started looking for her phone, where had she put it after the call from the prison. “Maybe, I’ll sit down, and you – maybe you could make the arrangements” she whispered and placed herself in the sofa again. Pain and exhaustion overwhelmed her completely, and she wasn’t really sure if it was her or the child growing in her. She closed her eyes, feeling how she almost fell asleep just sitting down. |

| He perhaps hadn't known Evelina as much as many of her closer friends, but over the time he liked to say he knew her quite well. Enough to tell when something was wrong, like right now. She even said she would call Ethan, Dion was about to put in an argument for him doing so, but he also knew not to tell Evelina what to do when she was set on something. But this was very different, she sat down again rather fast, which was what he hoped she would do to be honest. "Let me take care of it okay?" He breathed out, trying his best not to look like someone who was on the edge of a melt down, because he could feel himself losing it by seeing her so pained and exhausted. Dion picked up his phone from his back pocket, and called Ethan right away, lucky he had him on speed dial mostly due to everything happening around, he had every one on speed dial to be honest. "Hey can you come over and look for the boys, I have to take Evelina to the hospital," he didn't even think to say it wasn't urgent or if something was completely wrong before hanging up.
Dion then waited for Ethan, who was very fast, one would never have seen the bear man run so fast. Ethan had excused himself to Zoe that his friend needed his help, that he would call her once he knew how serious it was. Ethan got inside and looked around seeing Evelina sitting there looking like someone who could collapse any given second. "Get her out to the car and get to the hospital, quick, don't worry about things here," Ethan looked at Dion with a nod. "You got this," he placed his hand shortly on Dion's shoulder. The poor demi-god looked so worried and confused, Ethan couldn't blame him. If it wasn't because Ethan was used to in his line of work repressing and pushing his emotions down - he would most likely have freaked out as well. Ethan therefor chose to help Evelina out to the car, lifting her up and get her as comfortable as possible, so it was safe to drive. "I will call the hospital, letting them know you are on your way," Ethan placed a soft kiss on top of Evelina's hair, before taking a deeper breath in and closed the door. He then looked to Dion giving him a nod before the demi-god got in on the front seat and started the car.
Ethan got back in the house and called Zoe telling her quickly about what had happened, and that she could come over. The boys would need some comfort and someone to keep their minds a bit busy while they waited for answers. Lucky for Ethan, he was rather popular with the two.
Dion drove as fast as he possibly could in the safest way. He felt like he was racing with time, that any second wasted was a chance of him losing one or both, his mind played the worst possible scenarios, not giving him any rest at all. He had never been so stressed his entire life. As Ethan had told him, some doctors waited for them as he parked and were ready to open the door and get Evelina on a stretcher, so they could get her in for a check up. Dion ran after them, still completely out of his mind, not knowing what do to other than follow them. |

| All Evelina registered was someone picking her up. How safe she suddenly felt, as being pulled into someone’s embrace that felt so familiar to her. Had she been in these arms before? Her dark brown eyes glided up towards the face of the person that was walking towards the car still with her in her arms. “Ethan?” she breathed out and felt a lump in her throat trying to calm herself again. It was dangerous that he always came running, he had always been there through it all. And now he was here again, how stupid it had been that for a brief moment she had thought they would have found themselves in this situation. Not that she didn’t love Dion, because she did, so very much and wouldn’t trade their life for anything. But, Ethan, even if he didn’t know it, he would always carry a very special piece of her heart. “Thank you” a soft whisper left her, as she looked up at him though a little hazed. Then her eyes found Dion’s as he ran around the car and got in by the driver’s seat.
It was like the landscape passed her without her even noticing what really rolled by the windows. Sweat started to pool down her forehead. She wanted to tell him that they needed to get there faster, that something was wrong. But she didn’t get that far, as pain spread her in her body, and she pressed herself back into the seat in the hopes it might help. But nothing did as fear started to spread in her entire body. She didn’t want to lose this baby, she couldn’t bear it, the world could do so much to her, but her kids, her friends and family. For the love of God, not them.
A soft cry left her as nurses rushed towards her, a doctor shouting what needed to be done as they rushed her inside. Her hand grabbed out after Dion’s hand but never caught it as this wasn’t a time where the hospitals workers thought about anything else than making sure that they would get Evelina and her baby through this. “I need Cecilia” she begged, trying to figure out what was going on around her. “Please, I, I need someone to tell me what is going on!” the ever so strong woman started crying as no one really spoke to her and just started doing test and talked over her head with terms she didn’t understand. |

| The crying, he wasn't sure how to handle her crying, but he handled it better than expected of himself. The way she grabbed his hand, made him breath out, saying that she needed Cecilia. "I will find her," Dion nodded a bit to her, hated leaving her, but also needed to trust that she was in the safest hands possible. So, Dion walked out the room, feeling how his entire world started to spin around. He could barely walk in a straight line without walking into something, tumbling over his own feet. "Dion?" The voice seemed like a distant echo in his head, making him try to search for the sound of the voice. He spun around himself, blinking and one could be quickly to assume that he was high on something. "Dion, look at me," finally a pair of hands grabbed onto his shoulders and he blinked a little finally getting his eyes to focus on Daisy in front of him.
Daisy did have some research projects that was here at the hospital, and she was on her way home, what she hadn't expected was to see Dion here so freaked out. "What happened?" She asked as pure concern started to explode in her eyes. Mostly because she hadn't been on her phone, and there was a short amount of things she would expect Dion to be worried about. The seconds were dreadfully long for Daisy's paranoid mind that already had planted a seed that something had happened to Cassian. "It's Eve, she started having some pain. So, I got her here... and I don't really know what else to do... I don't know what to do," he moved his hands to his hair grabbing it a bit, before he just fell into Daisy's embrace, crying, completely collapsing. Daisy took a deeper breath in putting her arms around Dion, giving him a comforting hug. "And I need to find Cecilia, but I - I don't - I don't know where to go," he took a deeper breath in, slowly pulling out of the banshee's embrace. "I will find Cecilia, how about you just sit down, and give me a second - okay?" Daisy helped Dion over to a chair, before walking to find Cecilia, but stopped for a moment leaning against the wall taking a deeper breath in. Evelina was pregnant, and she hoped for all in the world nothing was going to happen. But it was like a pinch of pain spreading in her system by the faint memory of almost having lost Katelyn.
Finally, she banshee managed to dry a few tears before picking up her phone and call Cassian. "Hey," she knew her voice sounded a bit weak, and breathed out, "yeah no, I'm fine." she paused for a moment to take a deeper breath in, "It's Dion actually. He is here at the hospital, something happened to Evelina, he is sitting in the guest room, completely out of it. I don't know what to do," she breathed out running a hand over her hair. Besides her own concern for Evelina, and her own emotions in this situation, she wasn't sure if she would end up being able to help Dion. "God I hope everything is going to be alright," she mumbled holding her hand for her mouth for a second taking a deeper breath in.
It wasn't that Cecilia needed to be found, she had been on her way home. Then the flash of Evelina being brought in to the hospital had made her turn around pretty fast and return to the hospital. The human had rushed to know the location of where Evelina was, only quickly seeing Dion pass the corner when she arrived, but there was no time getting to him and Evelina at the same time, her best friend needed her, so she ran towards the room where the nurses started running some tests. "Hey Eve," her voice broke through the mumble of the nurses trying to find out what was wrong. "I'm here, just focus on me okay, we are going to get you through this. I promise." She gave her best friend a comforting smile, lifting her other hand up to dry some of the tears away. "Just breathe okay?" |

| Cassian as always picked up his phone as soon as he saw how was calling. A soft smile was spilling on his lips, which quickly died as he heard just how she was sounding. “What?” he softly spoke after she answered that she was okay, but it was Dion that needed help. “You, just focus on your friend, okay? I’ll be there right away and help Dion, don’t worry okay, she’ll be alright, okay? There are the best doctors at Aston hospital, and they will take good care of her, just hang tight I’ll be there as fast as I can” he added, before he hung up and made himself ready to teleport to the hospital. This seemed just a little too familiar, just, he wasn’t thinking that they would be walking out of the hospital twenty minutes after he had been there. Back to the time where Dion had still been the forever single bachelor that had been having a party every day at his house by Thunder Grove. Now he had a beautiful wife, two kids of hers to take care of, and his own daughter due four months. Everything had to turn out alright.
Cassian quickly walked down the hallways when he found the correct wing and the guest room connected to that department. “Dion” he breathed walking towards his friend, looking like he was losing it. “Hey, hey I’m here I got you” he spoke as he pulled his friend into a hug. “They will be fine”
The nurses still wouldn’t tell her anything as they kept asking her questions that she didn’t know how to answer, where was Dion? She looked towards the curtains that had been pulled around her. Tears gliding down her face, why wouldn’t anyone tell her what was going on? Suddenly Cecilia was there, and it was like she could breathe again. “I can’t” she sobbed, feeling how panic pulsated through her veins. “I can’t lose her, I won’t live through it, why isn’t anyone telling me anything?” she cried out, squeezing Cecilia’s hand looking around not knowing were to focus her attention. Breathing really didn’t come natural right now. |

| Daisy breathed out and nodded a bit, feeling the sob threaten to leave her lips, but she could comfort herself with being a banshee - or at least the thought of knowing that she wasn't feeling any death in that direction, which also made it a curse, just waiting for something she hoped wouldn't hit her. The panic of not knowing what was going on, it was the worst, and it did take her back to some of the most powerless moments in her life. "Okay," she breathed out and licked her lips a little bit, "I will," nodded before hanging up and putting the phone back in her pocket. She then started searching for Cecilia, because Daisy didn't know where doctor Rivers where, and the search was possible the only thing keeping her from getting consumed in her darker thoughts.
Dion was just sitting there, tabbing his left foot while having buried his head in his hands. The time went so slow, he couldn't even breath and for all he just wanted to scream from the top of his lungs and break something. He never felt like this, so worried and frustrated and it scared the living shit out of him. He barely heard Cassian's voice, before realizing he was there. Dion just looked up at him, his eyes so lost and confused with tears running down his cheeks. He had no idea what to do with himself, he couldn't even get up, he just tumbled into his best friends arms like a doll with no power to hold himself up. They will be fine, those words were like a deep echo in his mind. How could they know that? Dion couldn't even get his own mood up, there was no joy or bliss to keep him on his feet, this had completely drained him from everything. "How do we know that?" He finally spoke, but so low it sounded almost like a whisper. Could they possibly know that?
Cecilia looked at Evelina, making sure that she knew she was there. "Dion is out in the hall looking for me, you know how my visions get. I knew my girl needed me," she smiled at Evelina as she took another and deeper breath in. "Yes you can, it's going to be okay Eve," Cecilia assured her best friend. Some doctors would argue with her saying that, but Cecilia was rather confident about this one, given her abilities. "You won't lose her, I would not let that happen," Cecilia breathed out giving Evelina's hand the same squeeze back to let her know she was right here. Cecilia looked up at one of the nurses, expecting some information regarding on what was going on, even if she had her own theories, she hadn't looked at any of the scans given. |

| “ Because all we have right now is hope, and we need to stay positive about them making it, expecting the worst will not help you get through this, okay? I’ll make sure they are both coming out of this alive, but first let us just take a deep breath and wait for what the doctors think is wrong, okay?” he looked towards the hall were people ran and walked past, he kept one of his arms around his friend supporting him, feeling how it stabbed him in his heart that he wasn’t really able to do anything for his friend either than just being there. And that, he would always be. He took out his phone “ I just need to text Daisy real, quick, okay? All of this just, hits her a little too close to home I think” Daisy hadn’t told him with so many words, but he knew somehow he knew that this whole thing would affect her more than she might even realize herself. He texted her that he was at the hospital with Dion, and that she should join them when she could. After that he put the phone away again, and just let his arm fold around Dion’s shoulder. Not knowing what else he could do right now. - Sobs left Evelina as she nodded, she really tried to believe her best friend’s words. But it was hard, she had never been this upset or thrown of course as now. And she had been shot, almost losing her life and still then she had been calm and collected. She remembered how Cecilia had run into her room and she had just been sitting there laughing while eating jello. But this, this was a pain she didn’t understood nor could cope with. A doctor finally came over, warm and bubbly redhaired that looked at Evelina with a warm smile “ Hi Evelina, I’m Doctor Rowe” she represented herself “ I’m a pediatrician, and I’m going to take real good care of you and your little one, first thing that is important to know is your baby is fine” Eve breathed out feeling how tears of joy and relief glided down her cheeks “ It seems that you have had a bladder infection that has traveled to your kidney which is what is giving you trouble right now, so we are going to get you on some medication that won’t harm the baby, we’ll monitor you a couple of hours just to make sure that everything is as it should be, okay?” Evelina nodded feeling relief form in her chest. “ Not that I want to assume anything, but I was told that there was a husband, and I’m guessing it isn’t you doctor River, so where will I’ll be able to find him so I can tell him to good news?” |

| He was right, he knew expecting the worst wasn't going to get them anywhere. Wasn't that his own life words used against him? Dion took a deeper breath in, trying to make peace in his mind. He needed to be hopeful, now he knew why he didn't always like the hospital. It was draining with people expecting the worst, but he closed his eyes long enough to just search for some feeling of bliss. People walking out with their newborn, ready to get home with their new family member. Dion opened his eyes again, lifting a hand up to dry his eyes with the back of his hand. He nodded to the words of texting Daisy real quick, he hadn't even noticed that him reacting that way could have set her off. Dion took a deeper breath in, at least he seemed to have calmed a little bit more down, just catching his breath. Daisy rather quickly was informed by Ash that Cecilia was last seen rushing into one of the rooms, making the banshee almost sure that Cecilia had found Evelina. Then, things were fine. She waved her hand a little away when Ash had asked her if she was alright, it wasn't like she felt like sharing anything right now, and no offence to Ash but not to him at least. She took out her phone, breathing out when she got a text, keeping her tears in. She quickly replied back that she would be there soon, she just needed to make sure whatever hit her in the gut right now - wasn't going to upset Dion further. So, she took a few deeper breaths in, and waited for a few minutes before she walked back to the waiting area, giving both of them a small smile before sitting over in the chair next to Cassian, letting her head fall down onto his shoulder. - Cecilia was just about to lose her shit, just about to, because she expected someone in here to have something to tell her about this. Luckily for everyone, Doctor Rowe broke the silence. Cecilia breathed out and let the expert in the area take over, listening carefully till what she said. That was at least a language Cecilia understood, and knew just what to do about it. Getting to know the baby was fine, made her breath out, she hadn't expected anything else, but it was good to hear. Cecilia looked up towards the doctor and chuckled a bit, "I would make an excellent husband, but no its not the case. I can go find him," she looked towards Evelina with a warmer smile, "I will be right back with him, okay - you are in very good hands with Doctor Rowe," she assured her best friend before giving her hand a little squeeze then walk out of the room. She walked down the hall, seeing Dion, Cassian and Daisy sitting there. " Evelina is okay, the baby is okay. You can go see her now, she is waiting for you," Cecilia gave Dion a warm smile and a soft nod to the side for him to follow her. Dion rushed up from his seat almost once again falling over his feet to get up to speed with Cecilia, and come into the room. He rushed to Evelina's side looking at her with a warm smile, before leaning over her to place a kiss on her forehead, letting his hand caress her cheek before grabbing her hand. Then he looked towards the doctor, looking for the explanation. Daisy breathed out by the news of Evelina and the baby was fine, still just burring her head towards Cassian, letting just a few tears leave her eyes, after having tried to hold them in for so long. |

| Sophia nodded as Cecilia told her that she would go get the ones that needed to be informed about this as well. She then turned towards her patient and started explaining very slow and carefully what would happen while she did it. Getting her on her medication as soon as possible was very important to make sure that nothing would hinder the pregnancy down the line. Even though it had helped when Cecilia had been by her side, as soon as she came back with Dion it was like a world of troubles fell from her shoulders. Once again Sophia explained what was going on with Evelina, trying to calm the clearly distraught husband. She couldn’t help but giggle asking if it was the first child. Eve nodded, with a smile “ Well at least first one together” she mused, giving Dion’s hand a squeeze closing her eyes as she felt more exhausted than she felt pain. Which already was a good sign at least. “ Well, we’ll keep her a couple of hours to make sure that everything is as it should be, but after that I have no problems with discharging her” she said and then nodded towards one of the nurses “ Please get Mrs. Constantinou into a room” she said and then nodded towards Cecilia before she left again. On to the next many patients. - Cassian gently pulled daisy into his arms just sitting with her for a moment. He was sure that Dion would be alright without him for a moment. Right now, there was someone that needed him more, and that he wasn’t ashamed to say meant more to him than Dion did. Just like Dion would drop everything he had to go help Eve. “ Do you need me to take you home?” he asked softly, as his fingers glided over the side of her face and over her hair to calm her down. |

| This was indeed a chapter in his life where he had no idea what would happen, how things would go. He had never imagined having children, or raising them, it had never crossed his mind as something he had wanted. Dion had before many years ago laughed by the sayings of the right person would change his mind, but right they were in the long run - it had only taken a few thousand years, but he had finally changed his mind. The fear of losing either of his two girls were frightening, so he listened to the doctor, listened very carefully to what she said and too in every single little word. Dion breathed out by the question if it was the first child, giving the clear answer just by him exhaustingly exhaling. Dion took a deeper breath in, and nodded a bit, looking back at Evelina as she squeezed his hand, but listened to the doctor. Cecilia breathed out giving both Dion and Evelina a warmer smile. Dion took a deeper breath in, " I will call Ethan and update him," he leaned over Evelina and placed his lips on her forehead losing his eyes for a moment as he took a deeper breath in. Feeling his energy slowly return a little bit. He straightened himself up as the nurses prepared to move Evelina to another room. Both Dion and Cecilia followed to the room, and Cecilia exhaled. " You need anything?" Cecilia asked taking Evelina's hand, while Dion was in the hallway just outside the room giving Ethan a short briefing about what had happened and that Evelina and the baby was okay. - The banshee had not expected this when walking into work today, but thankful that she wasn't here alone. She just let herself sink into Cassian's embrace, catching her breath by mimicing his. Daisy folded her lips a little bit together and took a deeper breath in before breathing out. She once again took a deeper breath in, as she nodded a little bit, pulling back just enough for her to look at him. "Yeah, that would be nice," she breathed out a little weak, not really sure how to phrase how she was feeling. But going home seemed like the best thing to do, and she was done for the way either way. |

| “Thank you” Evelina said with gratitude filling her voice, as she looked at her husband knowing that her former now dead husband would never have reacted that fast nor so caring. She felt a lump in her throat, as they moved the bed into a room where she could get some privacy. Lucky couldn’t start to describe how she was feeling about the situation that she had gone to the party with Cecilia back in the day. Even though it had led to her needing to make up for the fact that she had disappeared from her friend and not come back.
Being pulled back to reality as her best friend asked if there was anything she needed Evelina shook her head. “Not right now no, but it means a lot to me that you came so fast” the human smiled feeling how her eyes kept closing and her having a very hard time opening again. “I think, I’ll sleep a little now” she hummed in a low voice before her body became a slave under her very tired mind and she actually feel asleep.
Cassian made a small hum and waited till it felt like Daisy was ready to get up before he stood up. Putting his arm around her shoulder and walked towards her car to drive her back home. Not taking a no for an answer as he insisted on driving her. What a time it had become for the two souls that had drifted for so long, before finally settling down. He let his eyes drift towards the blond banshee sitting beside him, a little overwhelmed with just how fast she had captured his heart. ____ out |
