| Date: 26th of January 2021 Time: 19.10 Location: The hospital, the dressing room Outfit: LinkTopic for: @Lucas xx ____
It had been quite a long day. The hospital was busy most of the time, and Cecilia as kindhearted as she was – she always agreed to stay a while longer when they really needed an extra hand. She had in her lunch break let Lucas know she would be a little late due to a sick co-worker, but it was fine. And the extra hour had for her seemed to pass quickly. There was an odd feeling, and it made her suddenly become aware. Oh, she knew something was luring below the surface, but she wasn’t sure what. Her visions during the day had been unclear, but knew she had to be quick. Cecilia had quickly got changed to her normal clothing. She closed her eyes as she realized who would join her here shortly and quickly picked up her phone, she was typing so fast she could, but before she could press send, a noise made her turn around. “Jasper,” she whispered almost breathless. Cecilia had almost forgotten he existed with everything that had been happening around her lately. “You shouldn’t be in here,” she reminded him, but he stepped closer. Cecilia hadn’t seen Jasper since the day where the whole world had changed, and the supernatural world had been brought to live. He was a werewolf, she also reminded herself and it made every muscle in her body tense. Cecilia didn’t take her eyes off him, mostly out of fear. “It’s been some time,” he then said taking a few steps closer. “I never thought you would get rid of that angel, who did that guy even think he was?” Cecilia frowned. He couldn’t be serious, nothing seemed to get through to him, the question was why he had waited so long to show his face. Here she thought that she wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore. “You should go,” she then said. Cecilia wasn’t having it, not anymore. If she could deal with being link to Joseph and Ajax – she could deal with Jasper or at least tell him to get out. “I said, get the fuck out of here,” she raised her voice a little bit. Cecilia had no intention of pissing a werewolf off so close to a full moon, but she also wasn’t going to let him think that he could just do whatever he wanted. However, despite her louder words he stepped closer. She could feel her heart beginning to speed up, and his half glowing eyes made it clear to her that every small movement or action would be stupid. The wolf seemed uneasy, and it wasn’t like she hadn’t seen him like this before – she had dealt with his jealous like behavior, his anger – the difference was now she knew what he was. Cecilia had also been blind, blind to the fact that she didn’t want him to leave, but after that effect had worn off – she had been the one to leave, and he hadn’t expected that. “You ne-“ he didn’t let her finish her sentence before he grabbed her by the neck and pushed her into the lockers. His free hand hammered against the metal locker, giving echo in the dressing room. His hand still around her throat and she could feel it tighten around her neck, so tight she feared for a moment that he would break her neck. Luckily, she was alone, or that wasn’t really in her lock. “Shut up,” his voice wasn’t loud, but the threat was clear. Cecilia held her breath in shook shortly, as she could feel her heart racing almost impossible fast, and he was standing so close to her. His breath against her cheek, her ear made her uncomfortable. “I’m sorry” he released his grip on her throat and put his arm down, letting her gasp for air. Cecilia didn’t move, she felt completely paralyzed as she just stared blankly at him. “You are so kind, so smart and generous,” he spoke with an almost whisper in her ear. “ You got such a big heart Cece. You deserve whatever the fuck it is in this world you want. Just come with me.” It hurt to breathe, and she wanted to move her hand up to the sore throat – but also was scared to many any sudden movements. |

| OUTFIT: Top + black jeans & dark green converse. Lucas had had a long, very confusing day, he thought as he walked along the lines of tall buildings that made up central Aston and the area leading up to the Hospital. The chilly winter air didn't face him and his light jacket and grey beanie was more than enough to stay warm. He had taken off his glasses for once, as the nightsky didn't bother his sight and the streetlights weren't too bright. As he neared the hospital he decided to put them back on, just in case the clinical lights inside would be a problem. He had not been able to focus one bit today. He couldn't even remember what classes he had taught as his mind had constantly surged back and forth between everything that had happened the day before and the loveliest sight of Cecilia with messy morning hair in his t-shirt on the sofa earlier in the morning. The thought made his cheeks feel a little warmer and he breathed out through clenched teeth. True to his words he had brought flowers. A rather messy winter bouquet of green eucalyptus and dried wheats with a few dashes of dark wine-coloured flowers was firmly held in his hand as he pushed open the front door with an expectant smile on his lips. He had thought to maybe wait outside but where was the fun in that - he had after all said he'd make her colleagues talk. For once his hair was a little orderly and he straightened his jacket before he curiously looked around the clinically bright hospital entrance, looking for the front desk. With a bright smile he tilted his head, trying to catch the eye of the receptionist. "Good evening," he said, his voice bright and warm. The receptionist looked up at him, her face softening up at the sight of the smiling young man, stealing a glance at the beautiful rustik bouquet in his hand. "I don't suppose you know where I could find Miss Cecilia Rivers?"She had texted him earlier that she would be done soon, so he figured that if she wasn't in the hall she would be either in her office or changing out of her working clothes somewhere. A pleasant giggle escaped the receptionist's lips and she tapped a few times on her computer keyboard. "She's just finished up," she said with a knowing smile and glistening eyes. "You might just catch her on the 3rd floor." Lucas sent her another dazzling smile and did a playful salute as a thanks before heading for the lifts. He didn't like small rooms much and shuffled uncomfortably in the small space, genuinely thrilled when he reached the third floor, so that he could exit the elevator. His baffled facial expression changed quickly as he stepped out onto a busy floor of doctors and nurses speeding around, busy with their work. A few stopped to eye him up, wondering what patient he was going to visit, but he looked confident in where he was going so people didn't stop. He had been there many times after all, getting help and researching for his PhD. So many smells that it was a little overwhelming as different species walked amongst each other. He furrowed his eyebrows and glanced at his watch, wondering if she had been caught up in something, before patiently sighing a little, leaning backwards to gain support by the wall at the end of the hallway of the dressing rooms. |

| Everything just seemed so wrong, and her mind rushed to figure out how to get herself out of this. She should have seen it coming, but it was difficult getting visions only to her benefit - especially in a work setting like this. Cecilia held her breath for a few seconds, she was scared - funny enough she would few months ago have counted his anger as one of the things that were the scariest. Now, she had a link and a maniac to Joseph to be worried about. His words tried to cut through her like a knife, but she wasn't going to give him a second chance - she had no intention off ever doing that. "I want you to get out," she replied with her eyes darting at him, it hurt a little to speak but as of right now - it was something she would deal with after. If she could save herself from Joseph, perhaps she could safe herself from this. "I'm not doing shit," she added and took a deeper breath in, keeping her gaze at him. He grabbed the back of her head, and tightened his grip just starring at her. Right now she didn't want to lose this starring contest, and eventually he tossed her to the ground. He walked over and sat down in front of her. "Why do you make it so hard to do something nice?" He sighed a bit, and placed a finger underneath her chin. Cecilia held her breath, a few flashes hit her making her feel slightly more comfortable - Lucas was here - at least soon in the building. It gave her a little bit more courage to actually do something, even if it was something small. So she summoned a knife, a small kitchen knife really, and with it in her hand he was sitting close enough for her to make a quick cut. So, she cut his achilles tendons on the left leg - making him scream up and fall back. Cecilia crawled a bit back, and finally managed to get up. Cecilia knew werewolves could heal quicker, and where a normal human wouldn't be able to walk, it would just be a matter of seconds or minutes before he was back to standing. He cursed and yelled at her, nothing she really payed attention to. In shook she dropped the knife and rushed to the door.
Walking through the door to the hallway, her eyes still caught up in the chaos almost looking like a deer caught in the headlights. She coughed a little bit, but her mind was busy looking after an exit. The brown curls covering her the red painting from the hand on her neck. Her eyes finally landed on Lucas, and in all the chaos she felt like there was a moment she could actually breathe. So, even if she was distressed she formed a smile walking closer to him. Movements quite fast, and her eyes couldn't really hide that something had happened. But it really could be anything, there was possibilities that there had been a patient that couldn't be saved or something else. "Hey," she managed to take a deeper breath in, as the sore throat reminded her of what just had happened. She couldn't even keep her heart beat steady, it was racing like crazy, making her feel dizzy.
It only took a few seconds before that to some of the other doctors tried to enter the chancing room, but was pushed slightly aside by the angry werewolf. Despite his anger it was clear he was holding himself in just a state of peace, there wasn't any use in making too much. "Cece," the voice yelled and she froze for a second and didn't even dare to look. Her shaking hand automatically found Lucas and gave it a squeeze, the fear was clear in her eyes as she turned the doe eyes to Lucas. She wanted to get out of here, right now. Jasper walked closer, still limping as he was healing from the injury. It was however clear as the werewolf placed his eyes on the shapeshifter that he wasn't pleased to find what was his running to someone else. |

| Lucas pushed himself away from the wall as Cecilia exited the door, smiling warmly at her as he waited for her to notice him. His joy dulled a little when she stumbled towards him in a somewhat distressed confusion. His eyebrow furrowed a little and he took a few steps forwards to meet her. Something had clearly happened. His worried eyes found hers and a soft, nearly apologetic smile found his lips. Maybe someone had gotten very hurt. Her shaky words made him take another step forwards, closing the gap between them, but the former excitement was pushed aside, as he worried what had happened and why it had affected her so much. He felt a little awkward with the flowers in his hands, but managed to put a protective hand on the side of her face as she greeted him. "Hey," he replied breathlessly, gently pushing a lock of hair behind her ear as he tilted his head and regarded her warily. His eyebrows furrowed lightly as something about her felt odd. She smelled suspiciously much like - "Cece!" Lucas' gaze lifted and focused on the werewolf that stumbled out of the same door Cecilia had come from. A flash of confusion hit him as his eyes found hers; the confusion turning to a vivid flare of pure anger when he saw her fearful expression. She found the hand that didn't hold onto flowers and he squeezed back without hesitation, pulling her a little closer, so that he could take a step forward, sheltering half of her with his own body, putting himself between her and the werewolf. He didn't know this guy but his entire aura shone trouble and he didn't look pleased at all to see Lucas standing there.
It didn't take many seconds for him to figure out just who this lowly rogue looking wolf was. She had not mentioned him by name, this ex boyfriend of hers, just that he had been trouble and that was exactly what this guy looked like. Lucas let go of Cecilias hand to gently guide her a little further behind him, gently handing her the bouquet in the same movement, to make sure his hands were free. "Mate," he growled, his voice dangerously low, still a protective hand on Cecilia's arm. "You better leave it." Whatever had happened in that room, she had clearly fought tooth and nails and somehow managed to hurt him, and although he felt proud of that feat he also felt an overwhelming rage of the fact that anyone would ever dare to harm her in any way. His eyes shot electricity and he had to breathe through is nose to not let it overtake him. For the first time in years his powers fared up without him summoning them. Lucas' entire body clearly signalled to the guy in front of him that he was not playing. He raised his eyebrows slightly, nodding in his direction to make sure that his words sunk in. "Leave it," he repeated, his voice bold and demanding. |

| She held her breath as she saw Lucas look at Jasper, and she could feel her heart skip a few beats ahead. Cecilia was stille surprised how safe the shapeshifter actually could make her feel, and in this very moment it was highly appreciated. She had seen Jasper being stupid enough to act out on Michael, and the last thing she wanted was a fight - but she also just needed Jasper to stop. Cecilia took the bouquet and wrapped her arms around her body, as Lucas let go of her hand. She stayed behind Lucas, having no intention of coming close to Jasper's grip again - afraid she wouldn't get out again if she did. Her mind was still in the state of shock and she barely realized the event that could about to happen.
Her eyes darted at Jasper as he took a step closer to Lucas, who just starred at the shapeshifter in front of him. How dared he stand in his way? It was worth enough when the archangel had the nerve to try teach him a lesson. The werewolf lifted a brow slightly to the sight of them. Even through the shapeshifter was clear in his body language that Jasper wasn't to come closer, the werewolf still had every right to demand what he wanted. He had been patient about it, waited for months and he thought it to be kind of rude after those years of friendship - thrown away for something so small. The eyes turned yellow and he growled at the shapeshifter. Cecilia gasped a little, she had never really seen Jasper's werewolf eyes before. Leave it the werewolf almost seemed to pull his lips on in a little smile, as he dared to take one step closer. "Or what?" He replied and narrowed his eyes a little bit, "what are you going to do? - Who do you even think you are?" Jasper added before he turned his gaze from the shapeshifter to Cecilia. "You are really going to let other people fight you battles, have you any idea how pathetic that makes you?" His words sharp and directed where he knew it would hurt - he didn't care much for the shapeshifter, he just wanted to make Cecilia realize she was wrong. Cecilia tensed her jaw, feeling her heart beating a bit more heavy. But she just starred blankly at him, like her thoughts hadn't catched up with what was going on around her. |

| Lucas had to loose the urge to shake his head at the werewolf as he dared take another stupid step closer. He didn't like fighting; he had done that his entire youth and he was scarily good at it but it wasn't something he was proud of and he never liked it. The rush of winning had always been overwhelming and it was a version of himself he didn't like. Now this guy was in front of him and he had to focus on not just knocking him straight out in front of Cecilia, proving to himself that he was a changed and better man. The taunting voice would have made his younger self explode in anger, instead he just felt pity. Stupid guy clearly didn't know when to stop. "Best if we don't get into that, mate," he replied, his voice confident and calm with a clear dripping despise from it. What a low being. He took a step backwards now that Jasper had come too close for comfort, gently pushing Cecilia back with him. He didn't like that she was here, and with another soft nudge he urged her to step even further back, away from him even if that meant feeling a little exposed. The hallway was narrow. Luckily.
You are really going to let other people fight you battles. “Don’t even fucking start on that!” He snapped sharply, returning the low growl Jasper had thrown at him earlier, allowing his own eyes to flare golden; a much warmer yellow than the werewolf’s. His growl was low and signalling that he was fed up with his bullshit. Pathetic. He had the nerve to call Cecilia pathetic whilst standing there like a hurt puppy not accepting defeat. Pathetic was the only word Lucas would use to describe this wolf. Instead of provoking him with his words, he turned sideways, facing Cecilia a little more, focusing on her for a second. His attention was still on the wolf behind him, but his eyes studied her closely. “Are you okay?” He whispered softly. “Did he hurt you?” He didn’t know if he had the control to not absolutely flip his shit if that was the case. Bloody psychotic werewolf. He carefully touched her jaw, noticing little red marks. His eyes darkened and his jaw tightened, looking at her seriously. “Ignore him,” he urged her with a comforting nod. She was clearly in shock. He prayed to which ever God that nothing drastic had happened in that changing room, and he swore that if anything had, he wouldn’t hesitate paralyzing the werewolf permanently. |

| She kept her distance, even in this state knowing not to get between a werewolf and a shapeshifter. Her eyes flicked to Lucas he snapped back at Jasper, and she breathed out for a second. All the wanted was to get her mind snapped out of this state and not just stand there, feeling so freaked out. Cecilia couldn't really take her eyes off Jasper, knowing his behavior she was scared that he would just do something stupid. She didn't notice at first that Lucas had turned to her, the human was way to concerned about the wolf. Are you okay? Lucas words however cut through to her within seconds, and she blinked a few times before turning turning her gaze up to him. She just nodded a bit, she wasn't okay, no matter how much she nodded that wouldn't chance. Did he hurt you? Her lip trembled and she could feel her eyes burn from fighting the tears, as he touched her jaw gently she couldn't help but blink a few tears out in the corner of her eye. Her eyes catching Jasper for a second, as she loosened the grip around herself with one hand. Ignore him. She ran her hand over her hair, removing the hair a little bit more from her neck as she turned her eyes to Lucas again. "I will be fine," she whispered and took a deeper breath in, wrinkle a little on the nose by the discomfort from the neck. "It's jus..I'm fine."
One thing was that she didn't want them to fight or Jasper to do more damage - they were at a hospital, he should at least be able to realize this wasn't the scene for anything. Jasper just never had the ability to control himself when the fog of rage hit. The werewolf cursed at them, but nothing else she wasn't able to block out for a second. One thing was Jasper never meant to lose his temper, one thing was he kept doing it and there was no change. No matter how sorry he was or pained he could look for just a small second, it was blinded away by that rage and jealousy. "You’ve done all of this to hurt me," the werewolf then said shaking his head a little bit, making Cecilia frown a bit, as her eyes switched back to Jasper. "How could you leave me at such a difficult time, when I’m down?” Everyone who knew Cecilia knew how big her heart was, and trying to talk to it was perhaps the best strategy - if it only had been another time. It was months ago since she had seen through Jasper's narcissistic behavior, also the reason why they hadn't been together long - but he had been a friend before anything else - or so she had thought. "Just shut up," she then snapped back at him on the next exhale and took a deeper breath in. "You know you are nothing without me, so just drop the act." |

| Cecilia’s fearful eyes and shy tears tore through his heat like a dull knife, ripping his insides apart. The psycho had clearly hurt her; as if the pain in her eyes weren’t enough testimony to that, her throat had red marks he knew only too well would turn blue and yellow during the night. He had choked her. Lucas could have cried. He felt like his world was falling apart. This was exactly why he had left her back then, scared to cause her harm because he hadn’t found control, and then it had just happened with someone else who hadn’t had the balls to leave. Last night he had felt it; the urge to want to protect her from all harm, and now it really hit him again. Heavily. He clenched his jaw. Fuck if this dude was gonna hurt her again, not a chance.
He turned to the werewolf, eyes shooting electricity. “She clearly made the right choice,” he growled. Her shaky voice just fueled his hatred for this useless dog in front of him. Little blue lightnings sparked around him. “If you don’t back off and leave I’ll be the one to hurt you,” he sneered back with an assuringly bold smile that never reached his eyes. “You got that?” If Jasper had only tainted him, Lucas would’ve never let his anger get the best of him. But the werewolf focused all his miserable energy onto Cecilia and that was an unforgiving mistake. Hitting her when she was weak.
A hospital was no place to fight, no place at all, and despite all Lucas’ anger and hatred that took over and clouded his mind, a little voice in the back of his head told him to calm down and get out. No place to fight anyone. Hospitals were for saving and helping people. The sparks around him died down and he genuinely hoped they had been enough of a warning. Lucas spun around, his face still showing despise for Jasper, and he softly put a hand on Cecilias shoulder. “Let’s go?” He asked, managing to project a little bit of warmth through his voice. He asked her, though, not wanting to be yet another possessive boyfriend who thought she couldn’t take her own decisions. |

| All she wanted was to leave this scene to just get home, so when Lucas placed a hand on her shoulder, her eyes returned to Lucas. She gave him a little nod as he asked if they should go. Cecilia took a deeper breath in, trying not to eye Jasper that clearly was standing almost thinking about his next step. It was behavior like that which made it difficult to use her power on him, he was so impulsive when doing something - it made him able to hide. She turned around, holding her arm out so she could reach around his waist, letting her fist hold on to some of the fabric from his jacket. At least Jasper hadn't attacked, she tried to keep the positive thoughts alive, as she tried to step further out of the stage of shock. Her heart was still beating heavily in her chest, but she could let her guards down once they were out of here. She only had to keep them up for a few minutes more, she told herself. It surprised her that Jasper hadn't attacked even if she was thankful he didn't, mostly because he had been the first one to throw a punch when Michael had confronted him back in summer. Cecilia didn't say much on the way out of the hospital, she was just focused on getting out of there. Also, she had no idea what to say. One thing was telling someone you loved that bad things had happened to you, another thing was throwing them right into the situation. Cecilia didn't want Lucas to see her in a situation like that, but she also came to the conclusion that her life was like this now - and she had to accept it to move forward. "What can I say he is one hell of a personality," she shook her head as they reached the elevator. Her throwing a dry joke around wasn't anything new, it was how she kept herself from going completely insane.
Cecilia knew he wasn't to fond of small spaces, and luckily they were also the only ones on it. "You okay?" She asked in a low voice looking up at him. Getting heated up like that was never a good feeling, and she was thankful for that he had her back today, so it was naturally for her to make sure he was alright as well. Even if they weren't. And she could sense that it wasn't over, but if it was paranoia or actually a warning sign - she had no idea. She just leaned closer to him while waiting for them to hit the reception, closing her eyes and taking a deeper breath in for just a second. |

| Lucas had learnt the hard way to never simply turn your back on angry people. Whether they were supernatural species or not; angry people were unpredictable and frankly he didn't trust this rogue to not attack first opportunity he had. This meant that his entire focus was on the guy behind them, as Cecilia grabbed him around his waist. She was too scared to even look at the guy. That little gesture made him more angry than anything. Anyone cooing her into whatever submission this was made him absolutely boiling with rage. "Hell is the word," he replied through clenched teeth. "What a psycho."
"Fuming," he replied coarsely. "I'm absolutely fuming." The muscle in his jaw twitched as he clenched it and he slowly shook his head, still not believing that anyone would even contemplate treating her like that. He didn't even feel anxious about the elevator space or the walls around them; there was not enough space in his mind for anger and anxiety to coexist at that second. His anger dulled a little when he saw her worried eyes at him. Once again it shocked him how unselfish she was. Even after all that had just happened, she directed her attention to him. He regarded her sadly and softly placed a hand on her cheek. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his eyes glistening lightly in the cold elevator light. He gently lifted her head a little by pushing her chin upwards, so he could inspect the marks. The guy had gotten a tight grip on her. "Oh, Ce," he whispered, feeling the sadness like a punch in the stomach. He should have been there earlier. If he had come twenty minutes ago this wouldn't have happened. Even mere seconds, he thought. Anything. "My God, I'm sorry," he repeated, shaking his head. "What did he want?" He asked, careful not to get his voice too high pitched to show just how concerned he was. "Has he been following you?" |

| She wanted to at least pretend she was strong, but her eyes burned from the tears that screamed to escape the eyes. His whisper as he gently lifted her head a little up. She didn't mind him touching her, if anything he was the only one she wanted to touch right now. Cecilia took a deeper breath in feeling the tears slightly just letting go, as she breathed out again. Cecilia took a slightly deeper breath in one again, trying to wrap her head around the entire situation. She had trouble remembering the conversation, and thinking back to what just had happened wasn't great. It didn't take a lot for her to know what he wanted, it had been obvious. Cecilia loosened her grip around him to move her hand up, as the back of her hand removed a few of the tears. "H.. He wanted me to come with him," she responded holding her breath for a small second. "I don't think so.. I just think so.." Cecilia frowned a bit by that thought. She had been so focused on Joseph and all of that, she hadn't even given Jasper much thought. Clearly Jasper had also put much more into their relationship than there had been. She even recalled one time Jasper and Nigel had argued about something, but she had never questioned it - not till now, perhaps she was just realizing more patterns on his behavior.
There was a part of her that knew it wasn't over, sadly she knew that this wasn't going to end here. She had gotten used to Joseph and his impulsive behavior, she expected that up to a point by now. However, Jasper was way more unpredictable in some ways. Cecilia pushed the thoughts out of her head, realizing she was zoning out a bit. "I have a bad feeling Luc," she took a deeper worried breath in, looking worried into his eyes. "I fear it's not over yet," she tensed her jaw and she could feel the worry hit her hard. One thing was getting out of the scene, even if they did - there was no say Jasper wouldn't show up again. After all he had waited all this time. "I haven't seen him since August.. when Michael told him to back off.. I honestly thought he had scared him away - but," she took a more panicked breath in and exhaled again. "Clearly not.." Cecilia took another deeper breath in and just shook her head a little bit. |

| Lucas mirrored her movement and gently wiped a tear away from her flushed cheek. He felt physically sick even trying to imagine how wrong it could have gone. His golden eyes flared dangerously for a second and he had to focus to not growl. Werewolves somehow always rubbed him the wrong freaking way and made his inner Leopard aggy. Except Raf, that. It obviously didn't help that this psycho had attacked Cecilia. He sighed loudly and licked his lips while lost in thoughts. He could only nod to her. It was as he had assumed. Jealous ex boyfriend. That meant he would be even more upset because Lucas was there. "That's okay," he said warmly, trying to be brave for the both of them and not let the bitterness take over. "You did great okay? It'll all work out," he assured her and leaned down to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Okay?" He replied, wanting to make sure that she was feeling fit enough to let him drag her to the car so that they could get out of there. With a sombre look on his face he lowered his shoulders a little as the elevator doors opened into the big entrance hall of the hospital. He casually took her hand to lead her towards the parking lot. She had her car which was why he had walked there - they had planned to drive back to his after her shift.
I have a bad feeling Luc. Now that Lucas knew that most of her 'bad feelings' were actually a special gift of hers, he didn't hesitate with believing her. It made him clench his jaw a little. He had the same bad feeling even without powers like hers after all. An angry werewolf was not usually one to back down, he knew that much too well. He contemplated calling Raf asking how fast he could get here. Maybe an alpha would be able to knock some sense into the guy, now that he clearly didn't react to other threats. He knew Raf was busy though and didn't wanna put Cecilia in the middle of some werewolf stand-off with one of his best mates in the middle of it - not a nice way to meet Raf either. He nodded, squeezing her hand a little. "It'll all be fine," he repeated, and regarded her surely. He smiled optimistically. "We'll figure it out." |

| The kiss on her forehead somewhat brought her back to a short moment of inner peace, as she was able to take a deeper breath in, and try to convince her racing heart it was okay. Cecilia gave him a bit of an assuring nod as she exhaled. She just wanted to get out of here, so she didn't think twice about following Lucas as he took her hand to lead her out. She felt short on oxygen as they stepped out, almost like the hospital light just for a second just made her more uncomfortable. Cecilia blinked a little trying to shake the nausea off. But it all came back to that feeling, she wanted to trigger a better vision. It'll all be fine, she breathed the words deeply in and held them there for a second. Right now she couldn't let her thoughts consume her mind, they would figure it out. "We will figure it out," she repeated his words and nodded a bit on the next exhale.
Finally they escaped the hospital doors, and the cold winter air hitting her face was just what she needed. One thing was dealing with Jasper on her own, she wasn't likely to give in when she was arguing, especially not if she already was heated up in the debate. She had always blamed her stubbornness for being the reason he got so angry, but in reality she came to realize no matter what, he shouldn't react like that. Cecilia realized she had left everything up in the changing room and she shook her head a little bit by that thought. "I forgo-" The sound of keys jingling was way to close to them. She could feel the tightness in her chest return, as she looked in the direction of the sound. Cecilia hated being right sometimes, hated not being surprised by how event unfolded themselves, even if in times like this it was somewhat nice to be prepared. She had to give Jasper a little credit for not losing his shit inside the hospital. "I'm going to give you a final chance to make the right choice. And then I'm not even going to be angry at you for hurting me," he spoke as he took a few steps closer away from the parking lot. Stepping into the weak yellow lights from the lampposts. "I don't know.. you could also just try to stop trying to take things that aren't yours," she snapped back and took a deeper breath in. It didn't take the greatest effort to summon the keys back into her hand, which seemed to surprise him that he no longer had them. "How the fu- how did you?" He asked out in the open, but it didn't seem to make him stop with that smile. That smile that looked like no matter what he would gain something from this. "You are a stubborn little pie-" he shook his head before turning his eyes to Lucas. "And you.. do you really think I'm scared of you?" |

| As they continued towards the main exit doors of the hospital hall, he realized she wasn’t wearing her jacket. For the first time in a little while, he let go of her so that he could take off his jacket and drape it over her shoulders. He never got as cold as humans did anyway. In spite of his warm blood he shuttered a little as they finally took that step over the doorstep and out into the cold winter evening. He took a large breath of air trying to cool his heated cheeks, and turned around to put his arm around her in a comforting hug, before continuing the walk towards the car. As soon as she shook her head he knew what she was gonna say. He was going to reply that it really didn’t matter; with powers like his, he could easily kickstart the engine and drive safely and surely to his home. The faster the better, he would have thought. He never made it that far, the light jingle of keys making him stiffen up.
This guy! Lucas so wished that he just simply didn’t exist. He had spent so many years of his life learning to control his own flickering temper after his upbringing on the streets and to learn that not everything would be solved with a good old fist fight, but this fucker seemed to drag him right back down that road, fueling his anger. He didn’t even have time to react before Cecilia did, snapping back once again, making Lucas squeeze her shoulder a little. He tensed his jaw. This was the first time he’d seen her use her powers and a fleeting admirable flicker of light showed in his eyes for her. “It’s okay, love,” he said softly, loosening his arm from her shoulder. He didn’t move his eyes from the werewolf. Not for a second. “Think you could get in the car for me?” He asked, making sure that his tone of voice was polite and calm.
Lucas dared turning his back to Cecilia and took a step towards Jasper with eyes shooting bright blue electricity. Do you really think I’m scared of you? Although most of Lucas’ friends joked that he was a big puppy, he also most definitely had another side to him. The side that survived the tough streets for his entire life, the side that got bloody revenge for his friend Victoria and the side that now made the air around them static. “If you aren’t,” he said with a dangerously low voice as blue lightnings flickered around them, making the dim streetlights flutter. “I clearly underestimated your stupidity. Now you need to leave Cecilia alone or this isn’t gonna end well,” he assured him, his voice surprisingly calm and cold. |

| Cecilia didn't really want to move her eyes from Jasper, not for a second, but as Lucas loosened his arm from her shoulder, she frowned a bit and she looked up at him for a second. She gave him a nod, feeling a slight bad taste in her mouth. It wasn't because she liked the fact of him facing Jasper for her, she didn't want anyone to get hurt. It was the last thing she ever would want, but she also knew that this had to end. She just hoped that perhaps in her naive mind that Jasper could get talked down. She had to give Lucas the credit for having her back in this, and she was grateful, still she could only hope he would be alright. There was no time to argue this matter, and even in a mix of fear and anger, not even Cecilia couldn’t collect her mind in a good enough argument to stay. Cecilia took a few steps back with a heavy heart before walking towards the parking lot, she looked back a few times, not sure how to process what was going on. She just walked to the car and sat inside on the front seat, placing the flowers on the backseat, and just stared out of the front window. Cecilia hated herself for feeling guilty of this manner, and her head leaned back to the seat as she closed her eyes just waiting for the nightmare to be over.
Jasper was consumed by what he could have, what he had lost. The shapeshifter in front of him suddenly started making blue lightnings flicker around them, he looked up at the streetlights shortly. The rouge werewolf's eyes were glowing, while the growl escaped his mouth by the warning. Jasper spit on the ground, as if it were the only way he could prove anything. He had a small annoying smile on his lips as he breathed out. Jasper clenched his teeth in frustration, getting more tense by the person on his way, and his face seemed to slightly redden by the anger building up in him. One thing he, however, did realize in this was the shapeshifter clearly had powers - he had sensed that earlier as well, but the smaller demonstration from the flickering streetlights made him somewhat step back. It looked like he was thinking about his next move, not taking the shapeshifter's words in, but instead just wondering where and how he could make an attack. Consumed by anger and jealousy - not his best look at all. "I don't really need to listen to you, you need to listen to me." He replied and dared to take a step closer to the shapeshifter. “You can still just back off and leave,” he narrowed his eyes a little bit. Despite the calmer tone between them, Jasper looked like a ticking time bomb. But he also didn’t have any fighting experience, it wasn’t his area and even as he clenched his fits he didn’t dare get to close to the lighting. |

| Oh how easy it was, he thought with a smile that never reached his eyes, to know when an opponent was skilled in fighting and when one wasn’t. Lucas had already positioned himself so that his body weight was evenly balanced around the soles of his feet and without tensing the muscles in his legs he had a little sway to test how his shoes would react to the rough floor under him. The guy in front of him who’s name he still didn’t know, somehow, was not a skilled fighter and it was easy to see for Lucas’ trained eyes. This was exactly how he told his students not to stand. Knees locked, shoulders up and clenched fists. Now in this world of the supernatural, of course fighting skills were important, that’s what he was trying to teach the lazy teenagers at the Academy, but you never really knew your opponent until you knew their powers. Lucas didn’t have a mental shield or anything else to protect himself from mental powers and that was a weakness. He had also very much flashed his own powers in an attempt to scare the wolf, but now Jasper knew what he could do. A tiny part of it anyway. He however wasn’t scared of this sappy puppy. He had hurt Cecilia, an unforgivable mistake, and hadn’t been man enough to take the defeat, another mistake that branded him somewhat of a coward. Lucas wasn’t scared of cowards.
The guy took a step back and Lucas couldn’t help a triumphant smile. The idiotic words wiped the smile off his face and he had to seriously control himself to not roll his eyes at the guy. What. An idiot. Good lord. The Lightning’s died down around him but were still flickering in his blue eyes as he regarded the wolf. “Can’t back down I’m afraid,” he said with an almost apologetic smile. “You hurt someone I care very deeply for,” he stated, his voice turning a little darker again. “So either you turn around and leave or I paralyze you from the waist down. You could enjoy the rest of your life in a nice, comfortable wheelchair.” Lucas smiled but it most definitely never reached his eyes. The wolf didn’t deserve anything but a punch in his ugly face but Lucas was trying to be good. Rather scare the kid a little; although if an Archangel hadn’t been able to do that he didn’t really know if he would. “Of course if I ever see you anywhere near Cecilia again it won’t just be your legs. I will kill you.” His voice was dangerously matter-of-fairly. Lucas looked the guy dead in his eyes, making sure he understood that he wasn’t kidding. It scared him a little that the words were true. He would not give a guy like that a second chance. |

| Jasper didn’t take his eyes of the shapeshifter in front of him. The shapeshifter didn’t want to back down, the wolf wasn’t really satisfied with that reply, it was clear on his sour face. Jasper stared slight blankly at the shapeshifter as the voice got darker, making the wolf narrow his eyes a little bit. Jasper knew he had hurt Cecilia, he had also apologized to her, so as far as he thought that was enough - She should just move on, but clearly the shapeshifter didn’t share that mindset. The threat was taken in, and it wasn’t something Jasper wished upon himself. The wolf growled a bit annoyed by the shapeshifter’s little smile. Jasper hadn’t forgotten his encounter with the archangel back in summer, or he had slightly forgotten, but it was like a new threat made him remember the others he had gotten over the years. Hadn’t Mono and Evelina also given him one before? He shook that thought out of his head and turned his attention back fully to the shapeshifter. I will kill you. These words seemed to finally make the werewolf’s glowing eyes return to its natural state. ”Right,” the werewolf mumbled a bit dry, before he shook his head a bit, “whatever,” he took a few steps back. Tried to make it seem like the threat hadn’t him retreat, but he also realized he had no intention of trying to walk pass a shapeshifter, who could not only shoot blue lighting but also have the power to paralyze him. Even if the paralyzing was a threat, he had no intention in finding out if it was true or a bluff. He gladly took his business elsewhere for now. “You win,” he mumbled unsatisfied as he took a few steps further back, still not turning his back on the shapeshifter. At least not till he was a long enough distance to disappear into the forest.
Cecilia opened her eyes once again, looking in the front mirror, but the figures were too dark for her to see. The only thing the dull light from the lamppost really lighted up was her car, and the light hit perfectly enough for her to make her eyes turn to the red marks on her skin. She took a deeper breath in and held it for a while, as she let herself inspect the injury for a short second. Just shaking her head in denial and exhaled heavily. Her eyes still burned from not just letting her tears fully out, she hated feeling like this. It was embarrassing and this was far from how she had wished the day to go. Her eyes returned to the front mirror trying to see if she could see anything happening, at least force her focus to look there, also even if she couldn’t see anything. Cecilia had a feeling tonight would be the last of Jasper, she knew he was a coward running every time something was a threat to him. She just didn’t hope it came to anything bad, and all she really could pray for right now, was just Lucas coming back here. Not that she didn’t believe he wouldn’t, even if she never had seen him in a fight, there was no doubt in her bones that she knew he could handle himself. |

| Lucas saw his opponent sway lightly. Such a little movement that meant so much. He finally relaxed his own muscles a little, realizing he had mistakenly been tensing them up a little. He was still well balanced on his soles and his eyes didn’t sway from the werewolf. “Don’t you forget it,” he said hoarsely as Jasper was retreating backwards, not sure if he would here the words at this point or not. Not that it mattered, he thought, hopefully his words had had enough of an impact that the wolf would stay away from Cecilia, at least for the foreseeable future and hopefully forever.
Lucas took a moment, alone on the parking lot, to just suck in a bit of air. He bounced lightly on his feet, grateful that he knew a thing or two about fighting but even more grateful that he hadn’t had to use it today. “Not today,” he mumbled to himself, blew out a little air and finally made his way to Cecilia’s car. He tapped the trunk lightly to signal that he was back before opening the door. “What an absolutely despicable piece of character,” he grumbled frustratedly, for a second forgetting himself. This was no time to whine. Apologetically he turned to her, reaching for her hands. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “Thank God you’re okay! How’re you holding up? How the neck?” His bright blue eyes studied her with the knowledge of fighting-wounds, delicately touching the non bruised parts of her throat. “I’m so sorry Ce,” he whispered; the sight of her puffy eyes feeling like physical stabs. It was strange he thought, how the thought of losing her again had sent such absolutely, numbing pain through his entire body. She was safe, he told himself. A little battered, but safe. |

| The tap on the trunk made her blink and return to reality as she turned her eyes to him. She managed to chuckle a little in agreement to the statement, it was the truth. Cecilia grabbed his hands, giving them a little squeeze as she exhaled. The adrenalin had finally seemed to leave her body and now she could breathe again, knowing he was here, they were both safe. Even if her throat and back felt sore, they were both here and even if she was a little scared - she would survive. "A little sore.. but I'm holding up," she replied with an assuring smile and held her breath for a small amount of time as her let him closer. I’m so sorry Ce, Cecilia folded her lips together before breathing out. "I will be fine," she replied softly and let her lips pull up in a little half smile, as her hand reached for his jaw letting it rest there so her thumb gently could caress his cheek. "I should have known," she addressed in an mumble, and shook her head a little bit, if there was anything she was a master in it was blaming herself - and she had only gotten better at it since they parted back in the days. The only thing that had stopped her from not just giving people what they wanted, was her stubbornness that thankfully saved her a great deal of times as well. How she hated having sent Lucas in the middle of this, also if it hadn't been up to her. She still felt like she should have been able to do something. Perhaps in the nearest future, she would be able to track her visions to something that wasn't just last minute or months away.
"Can.. Can we maybe just go to my place first?" She then asked in a lower voice and licked her lips softly. If anything, she wanted to get out of this outfit, wash away what had happened in that room. Her shoulders were still tense, and she knew herself enough to know that she wouldn't be able to completely relax till she was at least inside her own home - however, she was surprised how just having Lucas near, it seemed to work the same. But then again, she had always felt like she was home near him. “I’m sorry too you know.. I.. This was the last thing I wanted tonight to be about,” Cecilia said, knowing he knew that and even if it wasn't her fault, she still took some of the blame. If she hadn't given him enough things to worry about regarding her last night, adding to the list hadn't really been close to anything she wanted. |

| I will be fine. Lucas couldn't help a shuddering breath as she said those words and he solemnly closed his eyes; sincerely hoping that she was right. And that she wasn't just being strong for his sake. He slowly opened his eyes back up with a little concerned wrinkle between his eyebrows as they knitted together in his forehead. "Hey," he mumbled and let his own hand find hers on the side of his face. She had a bad habit of blaming herself for everything; a habit he had himself, but it was somewhat painful when someone he loved seemed to have the same tendency. "No." The words were firm. He sought her eyes, his own gleaming of seriousness. "Don't ever say that," he said, nodding slowly to make her fully understand how important this was. "However much control you will gain over your abilities does not mean you can control everything at all times, you hear me?" Lucas gave her hand a squeeze. "It's very important you understand that. Yes, they are gifts but they are not miracles and we should never treat them as such. You can't exhaust yourself with trying to know every single outcome of every single future at every point of your day," he tilted his head a little. He didn't know how much she had used her powers and so didn't know what she knew of the exhaustion that came with prolonged exposure from them. "It will drain you and it will never be worth it. The future is tricky," he explained; his voice still firm but radiating admiration and warmth for her. "Please don't obsess over understanding everything about it, because you wont."
Lucas smiled a little apologetically before letting his hand go from hers. He couldn't help but cast another look at her neck before refocusing his gaze at her eyes as she spoke again. "Of course we can," he replied in a tone of voice that very clearly stated that they could do just about anything she wanted. Going to hers was no issue at all and somehow the threat of Joseph seemed oddly far away tonight - a little overshadowed by the crazy ex boyfriend. "Do you need me to drive?" He asked, studying her hands a little to see if she was not too shaken up. Come to think of it he would probably prefer driving, but he wasn't gonna go over her head on it - it was her car after all. He swallowed before a light little chuckle escaped him. "Then let's not make it," he replied softly. "Let me know if you need to think about something else because I've got quite the story from this afternoon," he continued, trying his best to somehow pretend that the last half hour had not just happened. He had to tell her about Maeve before she got a call from her cousin demanding to hear how the hell she didn't know anything about Lucas being back. Even though he hoped he had talked Maeve down from kicking up a fuss about it since it has only been about 24 hours. |

| No, the word simple word but through to her like a knife, making her wake a little more up from her own thoughts. Cecilia folded her lips together and held her breath for a while as she listened. Finally, she breathed out, letting the rising chaos in her mind be calmed by his voice. She was far too good at it, taking on too much and never cut herself some slack. Cecilia nodded a bit as he squeezed her hand, she did hear him. Clearly. It was a hard balance to find, and she was far from even navigating in the visions, and it had been luck the few times where she actually could focus on a special area or person - pure luck, she at least told herself that. The big doe eyes were completely locked in his, clearly taking in all the information given and she processed it in silence. She could see what he meant, there was nothing to disagree with. Perhaps, having Joseph in her head like a devil on her shoulder not the best motivator for her using her powers. Even if she couldn't tell all the time if it was Ajax whispering in her mind or Joseph. "I never really liked giving up too much control," she chuckled a bit mostly to herself, "but I will give it a go." She was stubborn, but if she could beat her own stubbornness with that trait as well, was a quest yet to be taken.
Cecilia breathed out and nodded a bit, as he confirmed they could go to her place. It wasn't like she expected anything else, but her foggy mind was still on its way to be back in the clear. Do you need me to drive? Her eyes turned to the steering wheel for a short moment, and she frowned a bit. "Yea.. Yeah that might be a good idea," she replied in a lower voice before returning her gaze to him again. Then let's not make it, she breathed out and slowly stepped out of the car, not walking away from him just yet. The few steps to the other side of the car seemed for a short moment so awfully long away. "I can't wait to hear all about it," she replied with a little half smile. For a short moment she just closed the space between them by placing herself closer to him, just taking him in for a moment, the warmth, the safety. "I don't own nearly as much tea as you do.. - but I'm a way better plant mum than you are," she spoke softly against his chest as she looked slowly up at him. She couldn't help but escape a little just a little giggle by that thought, it wasn't news she couldn't to the store without bringing home a new family member.
She was finally ready to take the few steps to the other side and open the door to the passenger seat as she handed him the keys. "You know how to get to Greenwell Street?" Luckily it wasn't too far away from here, she had made sure to place herself in the middle of everything. It wasn't really one of the smallest areas and it was one of the pricier living areas in the city center - she knew that. Cecilia seemed less tense now, but most of the tension just unfolded itself in her left knee. It wasn't something knew, her stress just always seemed to go there without second thought, but it wasn't anything she couldn't just push out of her head. "We should take a hike one day.. in the mountains - I miss that," she breathed out, not really knowing where that thought came from. When they had lived together in Grounds of Lily the view to the mountain range and taken a day trip to the mountain Oneiroi. It had reminded her off few of their smaller trips when they back in the day had been visiting Bulgaria on different vacations. And Cecilia had always liked walking around in nature, even taking a few days in the wild was freeing. |

| Lucas was ridiculously happy that she didn’t take any offense to his words. He knew she didn’t like anyone telling her what to do and had for a moment feared he had overstepped. Perhaps he had, but as she lit up in a little chuckle his own face softened up and he gave her another little squeeze. He smiled softly at her. “You never did, no,” he replied in a low hum. God he had missed her. He had thought those words just about a million times the night before and now it hit him again. He really had.
Luke got out of the car in sync with her, not wanting to simply scoop across the car seats and leave her to walk alone around the car. You never could be too careful. They met half way around the car and he playfully poked her side, hoping it would cheer her up a little. As they got back in the car she cuddled up to him, her body sending a surge of warmth through him. He softly stroked her back and looked down at her, love shining through his blue eyes. “For you, I’d even drink coffee,” he mused softly and gave her a pecking kiss on her nose as she let out an adorable little giggle.
Lucas had always preferred to walk to any destination and in turn had gotten a pretty good mental map over the city. He lightly shook his head in disbelief over that fact that she had lived in this city without him knowing and that he had probably crossed in front of her house multiple times. He smiled softly at her. “Yeah I do.” Without turning the keys around he simply touched the car to make it start - a habit that was hard to kill at this point - looking back over his shoulder to maneuver out of the parking lot. He looked over at her with a bright smile, a little surprised by her thought. “I would love that,” he replied breathlessly. He had loved her love for nature and adventure. They had been good at that back then. Little trips to mountains. He chuckled warmly. “I would love that.” |

| Cecilia's eyes looked at his and how could she not smile by the way he looked at her. Even in this mess, looking at him was like a warm embrace of love, and she never wanted to let that go. Not again. For you, I’d even drink coffee. His pecking kiss on her nose as she giggled made her nose scrunch a bit. "I'm already a bad influence, huh?" she shook her head a little bit still with that bright smile on her face. Cecilia was pretty sure her blood type was coffee at this point, it was the only thing she found comfort in drinking. It was perhaps a bad habit, but she took pride in it being coffee she reached for, even if it most likely didn't help her sleepless nights.
She didn't do it enough, letting her mind wander a bit. Thinking about the mountains, the calmness of just walking around in nature. The times she afterwards had been out camping with Evelina, even if they had just been camping in Evelina's backyard at first - it was easier with the kids. She had tried to keep up the tradition of their walks by herself but going the same paths just hadn't felt the same. And even if she did love getting lost in nature, she would rather get lost with him. I would love that. Her smile lighted up a little bit more, it was a random thought. "That is a deal then." After last night she had spent most of the day thinking about them really, she could even recall some people from her team having to almost wake up from daydreaming. Right now, she just wanted to forget the encounter with Jasper and just live in the now.
The wonderful smell of eucalyptus filled the car, made her smile. "And thank you for the flowers - you remembered," she looked over at him with a little cheeky smile. Cecilia was always impressed when people remembered the small things she liked. Her eyes turned to the road as they came closer to the central part of Aston. Cecilia had liked Greenwell Street because it was on the more silent side of the busy city life, and every house here had it's own lovely charm. "Number twenty-one," she guided as they got closer to the street. It was a lovely house, her and Nigel had picked it to be a perfect mix of modern and still having that warm-old fashioned style to it. With yellow brick walls, only lighted up by the lights from the porch. She didn't have a garage, so parking on the sidewalk was like she usually did was the easiest. There was a smaller garden in front of the house, and she looked forward to spring so she could get her fingers in the dirt again. It was a large house for one person, she knew that. As soon as they were parked, she leaned back to the backseat where she had placed the flowers to picked them up before stepping out from the car. Cecilia walked towards the house, looking back at Lucas shortly waiting for him. After all he did have the keys, or she at least wanted to make sure he did. It didn't matter to her whether she unlocked the door, or he did. But she needed to turn off the alarm system as they entered the house.
The entrance was simple, there hang a few of this season’s jackets and a few sets of shoes stood waiting for her to wear them - knowing she usually picked the same ones every day. A mirror hung a few steps from the door with a fake plant hanging in a pot close by, the only fake plant in the house. Cecilia turned on the lights, "make yourself home," she took off her shoes in a less elegant way by simply kicking them off to the side, but gently pushed them towards the others. There was a guest bathroom ahead, and the stairs to other floor, but on the right was the entrance to the bigger living room. There stood a few different glasses on the table, mostly because she liked having one water glass, and another mug for a coffee - sometimes a third for a soda - depending on the mood. As she entered the living room further on the left was the way to the kitchen. Cecilia's eyes looked around in the living room shortly, looking at the wooden beams and the small details around the house that made it stand out to all the modern houses on the street. All the books on the bookshelves, mostly medical books, but she liked a good novel as well. All the family pictures hanging around. And of course all the plants, in all different sizes and shapes. |

| Lucas playfully tilted his head side to side. He hummed warmly, pleased that he had managed to take her mind off of the werewolf. He himself was still having Jasper in the back of his mind, sincerely hoping he would never ever see the guy again so that he wouldn’t be tempted to do as he had promised. Death shouldn’t be joked with and although it hadn’t been a lighthearted conversation he didn’t know if he had it in him anymore. The killing instinct. He shook it off, letting his lips curl upwards in a soft smile to her. “Oh, come on,” he said with a low chuckle. “We all know I’ve always been the bad influence. This would just be payback.” It wasn’t that he didn’t like coffee at all; he adored it, it was more that all the electricity in his body became irregular and harder to control when the caffeine took a hold of him.
Lucas took a right turn, shifting his gaze in the mirror before gassing up a little. Rightly, he just wanted to be at her house so that he could find out how much the bastard wolf had hurt her. His mind wandered until her voice dragged him back again and his eyebrows raised a little. He smiled widely. He had forgotten about the flowers but now that he mentioned them he could smell the eucalyptus in the car. He had to bite his tongue to not utter a bitter remark about how it hadn’t exactly gone to plan, reminding himself that he should try to not ‘let the evening be about this’ as he had promised her. He was happy that he remembered all the little things about her. Her favourite ‘flower’ had been easy since it was a smell that always reminded him of her. He hadn’t bought eucalyptus since they’d been together, the smell bringing back too many painful memories with them. “Suppose I’m a tiny bit happy that you’re a little creature of habit,” he pointed out with an even wider smile, his eyes still set on the road ahead. “And that eucalyptus is so nice that it will forever remind me of you!”
Twenty one. His head perked up as he fleetingly looked at the house numbers on the nice little residential street. He parked the car in front of the house, looking at it with awe. It’s was beautiful, he thought, and so entirely different from his little city apartment. He uttered a little ‘wow’ as he got out of the car, raising his eyebrows on wonder. “So cozy!” He exclaimed excitedly. He had yet to see the insides but it already fit Cecilia so well. With a big smile he handed her the keys and took a step back to let her enter first. Lucas untied his shoes a little more elegantly than her comfortable, homely kicking, gently placing his shoes next to hers and flicking his jacket off to fold it around his arm as he followed her a bit further into the house. “Oh Cee,” he muttered. “It’s absolutely beautiful.” It was perfect for her. She had done so well for herself and his eyes shone with proudness. It really was the coziest, homely house. He could see how she had taken little notes from her family home to make it all the more cozy. It felt like a farm house. He turned to her, thoroughly impressed, reaching for her hand. |

| She could feel the butterflies in her stomach, as if she were slightly nervous whether he liked it or not. It was fun, usually she didn't care what people thought about her home, it was her home after all. Of course, it was nice when people complimented how she lived, but hearing him like it made her smile even brighter. It’s absolutely beautiful "You like it?" Even if she just had gotten that confirmed, it meant more to her than she first realized. Her eyes totally addicted to the way he looked at her, but she had always been so fond at losing herself in those blue eyes of his. Cecilia placed the flowers on the table before she took his hand as he reached for her and walked closer to him. She placed her free arm around him, and looked shortly around the living room to the dinning room only separated by a sliding door that was half open. She never really bothered to close it. "I moved here two years ago, not that everything went totally after how I planned it - but I like the outcome," she confessed in a light chuckle. Life had its way of not going how she thought it would, and for someone who could sense the future it was quite ironic how life kept surprising her. "I worked in Oakheart for a while, and one of the chief physicians in Aston wanted me on his team. So, I did the spontaneous thing and moved," she laughed a little by that sentence while shaking her head. Cecilia realized she hadn't shared much about what she'd been up to, but it was also much nicer showing. There was a lot of reasons behind the choice of house, but the decor was all her. "I was supposed to move here with someone, but it didn't last. Mono moved in here with me in the beginning - but I think he got tired of the plants at some point." It was a long time ago by now, and she didn't want to waste time overthinking people's actions more than she had to.
"Mono and I still talk though, he is just busy with his Hannah Montana double life," Cecilia added softly. Mono and Cecilia had always been close, mostly because he had been the first person she had connected with she moved from Bulgaria. Everything had been so strange and weird, also after everything with Richard - so finding Mono had brought her a great deal of peace, it still did. "He is a vampire hunter - I guess I shouldn't have been surprised," she licked her lips softly as she took a deeper breath in. Cecilia had been a bit angry at Evelina and Mono over the fact they had kept it from her - she identity of the supernatural, and perhaps it was the reason she could handle people telling her now, she had already been angry about it - and she wasn't the type to stay angry. But a vampire hunter it was some serious business, and he could get himself hurt, she wasn't fond of that.
Cecilia made a slight tilt with her head to the left and folded her lips for a small moment while looking at him. The sense of being completely home had already removed the tension from her shoulders, along with being so close to him. Cecilia leaned in placing a small tender kiss on his lips. All she really needed now was just having him close. After parting their lips again, she didn't pull her head too far from his, still having her eyes closed. "So, I'm in desperate need of a shower," she confessed in a low voice, just as she opened her eyes. Cecilia knew she couldn't just slide into some other clothing and that would solve the restlessness in her, she needed it to be washed away. At least that would help for now. "And I wondered -If you.. Do you want to join me?" It was perhaps a bit bold of her to ask, but she didn't really feel like being alone and she wanted to wash whatever touch Jasper had left off her skin. And there was only one person she would allow this close right now. If anything that hadn't changed it was how she used showers to destress, there was nothing better than just standing there letting the water rinse you from what bothered you."Like, you don't have to if you don't want to" she quickly pointed out as she held her breath. She didn't want to overstep any boundaries of his, and at the same time she didn't mind letting him know she needed him. |
