New year, new start

They did not give you a handbook. That was one thing that was true for sure. He could have used one some time ago though. But now… he felt as if he had everything under control. Or… at least about vampires.
He smiled softly at his friends, got up and went out to the kitchen, even though none of them wanted anything. He knew he wanted something to drink. All he need now was to find out what.
In the meantime, the girls could discuss whatever they wanted, as his blue eyes searched the fridge. She had some 7up. maybe he could mix that up with some whiskey.
So he did just that and returned to his friend, this time placing himself on the couch with them, not caring if they had to move to give him space. If they even allowed him, he would throw his legs up, so they were leaning on her thighs. Here he just leaned back, drinking from a straw, so it was a possibility for him to almost lay down and drink at the same time.

“That would be an awesome idea to pitch to an archangel, hey archangel, you know what I’m sure you have so much spare time – how about writing a book on how to breach the subject on the supernatural to people that doesn’t know it exist?” she said sarcastically and pushed Cecilia’s legs with her foot.

“Hey there isn’t room” she huffed, knowing very well that Mono wasn’t going to listen to her, and she moved a little only to get his dirty feet in her face. She pushed them away from her face as she saw how he lied down and used Cecilia’s lap as his cushion.
“What seriously? I get the stinking feet and Ce gets your head? How the fudge is that okay?” she said and drowned the rest of her wine and tried to stretch over to have a refill.
“Like seriously, how is this okay?” she started laughing, finally her fingers just reached the bottle, and she could fill her glass yet again. Even for all her complaining she didn't push his legs away from her in the end.

Besides, she wasn’t going to admit outload how much she had missed this. This was what could make the horrible days seem like nothing but at distant memory overshadowed by great friends, laughs and lots of food and wine.

As Eve complained that she got his feet, he teasingly raised his food and placed it in her pretty face. “You know you have a weakness for my feet! You can´t deny it any longer my dear Eve!”
He laughed softly, waiting for her to push his foot away, now looking up at Cece as she basically called him Ramsay. “Well, excuse me, we all know Ramsay got his manners from you guys!”
To give them a bit more space, he removed himself from them, to place himself on the ground in front of them. The second Cece mentioned kitchen nightmares, he tilted his head back, smiled bright at her and nodded.
“Yes!” He happily chipped. “I am always ready to watch some kitchen nightmares!”
He looked forward again and now took a sip of his drink.
He was lucky to have such good friends by his side. He wouldn´t change it for a thing in this world.

“Weakness!? Please!” she laughed and just managed to push them down as he started to crawl down from the sofa and sat down in front of them. Evelina groaned a bit when they talked about kitchen nightmare. Really? “fiiine” she mumbled and got up from the sofa and walked over to her old tv. She ended the music that had been playing so far. “I just, need to coax this tv to work with us” she laughed and grabbed her wine glass before she started turning it on and gave it a load smack before the video turned on. Then she found the already recorded shows, of course she still had some of Mono’s favourite show there would be a whole other kind of hell to pay if she had taped that over. Even if this was not his house. Ridicules!
As it finally started and Gordon appeared on the screen she walked back towards her friends, but instead of sitting in the couch she sat down on Mono “Hmm, the couch seems a little weird now” she looked up at Cecilia “Oh wow, what are you doing all the way up there” she said with a smirk before she turned around and looked Mono into his eyes “Two people can play this game Amar” she said with triumph and didn’t really seem like she was about to move from him.

Oh, how he adored his friends.
Where would he be without them?
The second Eve placed herself on him, he laughed, shook his head and then looked at the tv, smiling from ear to ear as the british chef appeared on the screen. This was just in time for Cece to fluffle his hair. He chuckled lowly and with love.
To some, this would probably be weird, one guy with two girls as his best friends. But to him. He couldn´t care less. He adored them as his sisters and wouldn´t traid them for anything!
as they came to his favourite part of the show, when Ramsay just yelled at the ignorant owners, he quoted almost every sentence and for fun pointed his fingers teasingly at Cece and Eve.
when his phone suddenly lit up, he curiously reached for it, checked for a second, before he started texting.

“Aw thank you for noticing!” Evelina replied to Cecilia’s words of her being crazy, she liked how Mono didn’t even try to push her away and grabbed some of the snacks that was lying on the coffee table. Just as Mono threw some finger guns towards them while quoting Gordon Ramsay. Evelina rolled her eyes so hard, that she was afraid they would get stuck and with a groan she lifted herself from him and sat herself down on the sofa again with the bag of chips in her hands.
She loved this though, even as she didn’t understand the obsession with the yelling chef that never really had nice things to say, or he did – maybe that was the worst part? That it was all just a show, because people loved how much he put people in their place.
It didn’t skip Evelina’s eagle eye that Mono’s focus disappeared as soon as his phone started buzzing. As he started texting, she got too curious and needed to figure out who it was. With quick fingers she tried to grab his phone.

He should have known that Eve would grab his phone and snoop in on who he was texting with. As anyone would do, he tried to get his phone back, not really appreciating his privacy taken from him. Not that the text was from someone private.
All the text said was: New target. Come to base to grab the papers.
Or… of course it could be seen as private. But since eve and Cece already knew what he was doing at night, he didn´t take it that harshly, that they would see the message.
Here he got his phone back and softly slapped the back of Eve´s head.
“Just ask, like Cece, the next time! It is not a message from a secret loooooover or anything,” he mumbled and quickly put the phone away. “It was just a message from the clan.”
They knew Mono. They would therefore also know what he meant by clan. The clan that took him when he was ten and trained him to be a hunter, while also being the once, giving him orders of which vampires to kill.

She sighed at it was not nearly as juicy as she had hoped and gave the phone back to Mono. She made a small, anguished sound of pain when he hit her head, even if it did not hurt. “Uh what the hell man!” she laughed a little and shook her head at him. “Well, where is the fun in that, huh?” she grumbled back with a slight smile on her lips, as an answer to his; just ask next time.
“And that’s just boring, are you telling me there is no secret hanky panky in mister Amar’s life?” she sighed and stretched a little in the sofa pushing with her feet against Cecilia’s thighs. She could feel how some of the alcohol was starting to take an effect on her.
“Right I got it!” she said and got up from the sofa with a small clap “No way that I’m just lying here watching Gordon Ramsey all night – lets play truth and dare!” she declared and drowned the rest of her wine before pouring new refreshments in her glass.

“NO secret hanky what now?” he asked stumbled by Eve´s question. “Not as far as I know of.” He escaped a laughter and from sitting casually to watch his favorite show, to know starting a party game, they have played once or twice before.
As Cece asked who was going to start, he leaned back, sighed, and raised a hand shortly. “Alright, alright, let meee start the show.” He looked at them with a cheeky smile, clearly playing a role for a short time, before looking at Eve. “Eve, truth or dare?”

“And here I thought that I could live my love lift vigorously through you Mono, disappointing really” she mused with a smirk on her face and looked towards Cecilia as she asked who was going to get started. Before she could say anything, Mono had already taken that burden to bear and asked her if she wanted Truth or dare. She didn’t even need to think about it as she looked at hum raising her brows and giving him a little smirk. “Dare of course and make it a good one” she said and took a big sip from her drink.

What more could a girl wish for in life? Her two best friends sitting here with her, just enjoying life without thinking about too much of the troubles that they normally had in their day-to-day life. Just a brief moment of peace.
