| A dear huff of a laugh pushed through the little witch’s throat, leaving a sweet little smile on her lips, that stayed there even after the phantom giggle had faded completely. “I didn’t mean it like that. I meant, what did you see? People would often describe that kind as a comprehensible place instead. A place you can move around and touch and interact. But I’ve been wondering myself if it might be more like a blurry space of floating memories,” she explained, as it seemed like he had misunderstood her intentions. Explaining how it was, more experience specific. “Every mind is supposedly different.” She glanced over beside her at him for a short moment before passing a street and then turning left down the following, leading him onto a slim street, where only one car would be able to drive through comfortably and walls of older architecture apartment buildings towered on both sides. Everyone section being a slightly different build than the next. It was a serene street. The street lamps lite the street at that moment, but in the day time the sun would cast a perfect warm light and reflect faintly in to the smoother of the cobble stones. Following the vague curve of the street – giving meaning to the street name ‘Filigree Crescent’ – a building more different than the rest, came into view. It was three story tall and still no space between it and the two other buildings on either side. It was of the same structure and colour of brick like those two as well. But at the bottom floor there was a large display window and a dark mahogany door beside it. Green ivy was growing round the window and further up the wall. And lastly a old metal sign was hanging above the door spelling the name Little Lamp.
A pure white, white as fresh snow crow was sitting on the rod, holding the swinging sign, overlooking the street. Waiting patiently with a proper posture. Golden beady eyes caught the sight of the two pedestrians and let out an echoing caw. A welcome which let Saga look towards it, acknowledging it. They were here. Her home.
“This is it. My place,” Saga said, nodding poised to the building as an introduction. Already if he looked through the window, he would see what interior he was about to be let inside. A shop. And not your typical store as a matter of fact. The white crow which had bid its witch welcome home had sat off from its watching spot and with precision landed on the hand, she calmly held up for it. “And this is Circe. Circe, meet Ajax.” The bird didn’t hide its watchful eyes. It was a bird. It didn’t have human features and yet it almost showed more telling emotions than Saga. Who was this stranger? |

| "I'm sorry.. I'm not used to people actually wanting to know," he said underneath his breath, even through it seemed like explained what she had meant. Ajax wasn't used to people having good intentions when it came to his abilities, even through all he tried to was for the greater good. "It is like walking into a space, like you said, everyone is different. Some people have a mind space where its like walking into a library.. some has a house filled with doors, and just like opening a book, you open a memory every step you take," he explained as he frowned a bit, it was rather weird, an experience both thrilling and dangerous. He followed her down the slim street, not really worried in the darkness. They made it to her place, as she said. A shop, nice and charming in its own matter. He smiled a little. " I like it," the demon responded. A white crow flew from the shop over to meet the witch, he had read about witches and familiars once, but never really seen a pair. Circe. He nodded and Ajax looked at the bird. He had never seen a white crow before and he would it utterly beautiful sitting there on the hand with all its grace. "Hello Circe, pleasure meeting you," he moved his eyes back to Saga, "I've never seen a white crow before, so beautiful," he confessed and looked back at the crow. It was weird for him confessing an animal being beautiful, maybe because he was so worked up in being perfect with his family and friends - and none of them would really look at him the same for showing that kind of affection. However, in this moment it didn't matter, he felt like he could be himself. Which was nice for a change. Ajax had two dogs he loved with all his heart, and he missed now that he was here in Gaia. He could only hope that his parents took care of them - or that was a lie - that the maids took good care of them. |

| Although Saga’s expression weren’t as big and as bright as some or most people, the way she looked at the demon was clearly carried on by astonishment. He wasn’t used to people taking such interest in what he could do? It seemed strange to her. She somehow doubted many possessed such a display of abilities as him. And of course, she wanted to know. It was her head. Her mind. And yet it was a place she could never be able to fully access. Knowing just a little bit about it tugged at all of her threads of curiosity. And there was many. She listened to him as he spoke, not even once almost interrupting him or showing signs that she wished to say something. Not before he finished himself and then even then, she kept the silence for a second longer. “What was my space like then?” she asked once more, this time with the correct intentions established. “Was is… welcoming?” She couldn’t help herself. “Cold?” Like a moth to a flame, her intense eye didn’t wander away from him. Didn’t let him fully escape the calm gaze. At least not before they had arrived at her place.
A smile sneaked its way onto her lips as he confessed to like it. It wasn’t nearly big enough to really showcase the pride that had birthed it. For some reason, it made her happy. That little comment. She liked it too. She had settle there for many years now. Not enough with it being hers. She had grown fully attached to the building and what it invited one into. The white crowing, not being entirely sure about this demon boy, still straightened itself up by not only the direct greeting it got from him but also the indirect compliment. A proud bird. Very befitting of its witch. “White crows are seen as a vulnerability by other crows. That’s why you’d never see them in murders. Their white makes it harder for them to stay out of sight and thereby easy targets for bigger birds of prey. That’d explain why you hadn’t seen any before,” Saga softly presented to him as she lifted up a hand to gently scratch the beautiful bird in the short feather under its beak, something Circe definitely seemed to very much enjoy as they leaned their head a little back to make better room for her finger. “However Circe’s white colour isn’t caused by albinism since they aren’t an actual animal. All their forms are white.” With a controlled movement, she moved her hand with the crow over to her shoulder, where it obediently stepped off and turned front the right way and then sat still as the little witch walked to last few steps over to the door.
The lock didn’t need a key. Not in her case at least. All it took for the lock to click open was a graceful and elegant gesture with her hand over the key hole. This wasn’t a spell anyone could be able to do. It was specific to her magic. So even if someone knew and used the exact same spell it wouldn’t be much help. She then finally opened up for them, walking in first and then letting Ajax inside. The lights remained turned off but there was a warmth as if many candles had been burning and emiting the comforting and maybe slightly primitive sense of heat out through the shop front. And even without any lights the light from the street lamps outside and made it possible to see everything, just shadowed. Circe set off from her shoulder only a couple of steps inside and with wings spread flew through the room and up through a spiralling metal staircase leading up to the floor above them. And so with the crow off her shoulder, she pulled off her jacket, folding it over her arm. |

| She was curious and he found it odd, mostly because he didn't find his own powers that special. It was more a curse and a source of trouble than anything else, at least to him. "A mix," he frowned a bit, as he thought back to what he had seen. The field, the young version of her, the house. He didn't go into further detail, mostly having to remind himself of what was real and what wasn't - it was somewhat difficult to stay sane if you didn't remind yourself you were in the real world. Because everything looked so alike, unless you found yourself in someone's dream - then it was sometimes very clear it was all just a dream. "But it was a nice house.. lots of doors." He ended up adding anyways seeing how curious she was.
Ajax nodded carefully as Saga told him why white crows weren't often seen. He could imagine, the second someone stood out from the crowd you were either feared or made the prey. All their forms are white. The demons frowned a bit, looking curiously at Saga, "how many forms do they have?" It wasn't like he really knew enough witches to actually have a answer to that question himself, now he was the one curious. Magic was a rather weird thing, but so was his powers. Being able to play with minds and seeing what happened inside another person's head - it was rather dangerous and not something that should be messed with according to the law of nature - yet he could.
He followed her inside as the door opened without the need of a key. Magic he assumed, it was still very fascinating. The demon looked around, feeling the warmth by the place. It had a sense of home that he hadn't managed to feel many places in his life. His eyes remained on her shortly after having taken a look around him, or that was at least till Circe set off from Saga's shoulder and flew across the room, and upstairs. Ajax couldn't help but chuckle a little bit, imagining having someone by your side like that, all the time. Yes, he had two dogs but he assumed this bond between Saga and Circe was a whole lot more special. "Still feeling okay?" He then asked, not because she didn't look okay. Ajax just wanted to make sure that she was okay with all of it. Everything from being told her memories had been removed, to getting them back and to actually realizing what had been going on. |

| His initial response was still not satisfactory for the little witch, the way he clearly swayed around the question and gave only very vague answers. A mix. It only stroked her curiosity even more. With demanding clawed fingers and scraping nails. She would’ve expected her mind to be calm. In control. Much like herself. But a mix? She wanted to poke further into it but it was starting to feel like craving into stone with a butter knife. But it was what it was. She had always known that information truly were easer obtained on one’s own account rather than the conversion through words like this. Not everyone was as nonchalant about answering what was asked as her. And at least he revealed something else. A house. Her mind was a house. Filled with doors. She wondered what kind of house. It must be big to hold all those doors, but something told her that things didn’t necessarily worked like that in there…
She ultimately let it go. She didn’t pry any deeper. She didn’t even comment on anything verbally, simply kept her eyes on him in a way to confirm that she heard him, however she did turn her gaze away from him in a slightly… discommoded way; just it only remained in her expression for a small amount of time. “Three,” she then broke her own silence with before turning around to probably close the door again after the demon had entered. “Back when I first successfully summoned them their only form was of a cat. Later they evolved, you could say. Beginning to take the form of the crow, you just met.” She turned around to look at him, now both her arms hidden under the hanging jacket. Her head tilted. Admiring him in the non-lit store front. “And a ferret.” There had been people who believe that the shape of a witch’s familiar had some strings tied to the nature of the witch, while other’s believed it to have something to do with the necessities of the witch. Most probably believed it to be a mixture of both, but nothing had was for sure. And besides, there were so many ways to look at the animal the familiars mimicked. A raven might be a sign of predatory while it could also simply be a sign of an ever observing eye.
The slight chuckle coming from him was enough to soften whatever existing tension Saga might have had in her face, her eyes following his in the direction of where her familiar had disappeared to. She had just started moving towards the staircase as well, leading her evening company up to the living quarters of the three story building, when his concern reached her again, and she stopped to look back towards him. She let the air between them be there for a moment before she answered, truthfully. “I’m fine.” She turned all the way around to have her front to him. And standing on the first step of the staircase, she was closer to be the same height as him. She reached out towards him and, was he close enough, she gently pressed a thumb in between his browns to sooth the worrying-lines. “It was a good idea, walking here. The fresh air helped clear my mind. And my legs don’t ache from the rather awkward position I seemed to have fallen asleep in.“
With that said, she took the next step op backwards and then turned around for the next ones.
