| Place: The D'Combe home. Weather: It's windy and looking like it might rain soon. Time: 16.32. Surroundings: There is fairly empty in the large home. Dedicated to: @Basile <3 Outfit + Jacket_________________ Everything had changed. Ellery was gone, Nathaniel was married, Spencer had died and come back and Ariel was here, but they had not had a chance to catch up before everything happened. She felt more alone than ever, but she couldn't bring herself to burden anyone with it. She had been spending a lot of time around Nathaniel's new place. It was one of the few places she felt safe. She had not seen Nate for a while, but she thought she had. A few times, she had been sure he was in the crowd and going straight for her, but it had just been a stranger sharing enough of an resemblance to him, to make her think it was him. She had not felt like that since when she started her relationship with Ellery, but now that it was finished, she saw him everywhere. She was honestly just trying to find a reason to stay. Ellery had been that reason and now she felt like she had none. Spencer had James, Nathaniel had his wife and the whole king thing. Where did Kenna even fit in in there lives now? She walked down the halls, trying to find something to do, a reason for her to stay that was plausiable. She could always say she was looking for Nathaniel, but if someone then took her to him, what was she going to say? That she was afraid of being alone? She didn't want to make that his problem. He already had a lot to see to. She spotted Nathaniel's mother further down the hall. The siren was not Kenna's biggest fan. So before she was seen, she dove into the nearest room. She looked down at her hands as she pushed the door shot. She allowed herself to breath again when the door was closed. |

| Basile completely walked in his own thoughts, as he gently rubbed his hands together, while trying to let his thoughts get the better of him, as his expression clearly showed that he was in his own world, before he came to his own room, only to open the door and then close it, as he suddenly looked up, into the brown eyes of a rather beautiful woman. He looked a little taken aback, as his eyes wandered over her body, from top to bottom, before he looked up again at her face, as he separated the full lips, slowly letting the velvet soft tone glide out, as he asked with a now conserned look. " Excuse me ma´am, but have you perhaps gone wrong, or.. are you in some kind of distress? ". Something about her, just seemed so sorrowfull, as he walked over towards her with a welcoming and warm smile, as he presented himself. " My name is Basile Lé Montt, this is my room, but be free to stay, if you need time to breath. This family.. can be quite much sometimes ". He laughed softly, as he walked over towards her, looking still conserned, with his arms in his pocket, no front putting up or anything, just an welcoming and concerned aura around him. |

| Kenna had not thought about who’s room she might have been entering. She was just not prepared to face Elaine. She was mostly afraid that she would blame her for Ellery’s death or somehow make her feel worse about it than she already did. She held her breath when the door opened, but then relaxed shortly when it was not someone she recognized. Perhaps she was not in trouble then. When she saw how his eyes wandered, she held her breath again. She heard his all too soft voice. ”I’m hiding,” she said with a soft smile. ”My name is Kenna. Kenna Warrick,” she shortly looked around the room. ”I’m so sorry if I’m imposing. I am sort of avoiding someone,” she explained without saying names. It was likely that he was working for Elaine, so she would not say so without absolute confirmation it would not get her into trouble of some kind. If she was not allowed to come here, she would feel even more lost than she did in the first place. She looked at him, felt how he was concerned. Was it so clear to see that she was in danger of breaking apart? ”Thank you for your kindness,” she muttered in a lowered voice and looked towards the ground. She feared he was able to get her to open up, and she had no interest in that. Not here and certainly not with a stranger. |

He chuckled a little, as she said she was hiding. " Oh really, from whom?. If it was from me, it was a bad idea to hide in my room ". He crossed his arm´s a little, as he looked to the side for a moment, before hearing her name, as he said " Isn´t it a little.. double sided to work here then, if you are trying to avoid someone? ". He looked at her with a raised brow, before getting over to his bed, as he sat down, before looking at her a little. " You dont need to share, if you dont want too ". He took forward his phone, as he looked a little down at it, not really knowing what to say in these kinds of situations.
He looked up at her, before he said " Should i.. go?, then you can just use my room until.. but a good advise from the kings new advisor. Dont avoid the problem, take it head on, or at least try to deal with it, as you cant keep hiding all your life, inside of my room. I do need to sleep some time ". He laughed softly, as he smiled to her, before he got up, as he found a chair and pulled out for her, before he found one for himself, so he could sit down with a book or something, just to kill time. " So what is your job here, if i may ask?.. or are you just visiting? ". He thought he had seen her before, but he wasnt sure.

| Kenna let out a very weak chuckle. It mostly just sounded like an exhale with sound. ”Why would I hide from you?” She said and looked at him with a slightly tilted head. ”I don’t know you,” she then elaborated. She understood why he might think she worked there. But she was no siren, he would be able to sense that, wouldn’t he? Or maybe sirens didn’t have as good senses as her. She sometimes forgot not everyone did. ”Very good observation. I should take that up for consideration,” she said and noticed how he looked away, claiming she didn’t have to share. There was a lot to say, so to tell someone everything, seemed so incredibly tiring.
”No, I could never ask you to leave your own room,” she said and made a rejecting wave with her hands. ”But if I do face this problem head on, I fear I won’t have a head for long.” She really enjoyed when people laughed. She had never known how much before recently. ”You will have your sleep, I will be out of your hair soon enough.” She watched him pull forward the chairs, and sat down on one of them. ”I am just visiting. I find an escape being here,” she said and folded her hands in her lap. ”The world is… It’s a lot to handle sometimes. I need a break sometimes.” If he was Nathaniel’s advisor, maybe she could trust him. Nothing in him indicated that she couldn’t. |

Basile closed his eyes for a second, as he thought to himself. * Why.. do people with problems always find me.. *. He was perhaps the best listener, but the worst at emotions. He was an advisor NOT IN EMOTIONS BUT PURELY IN BUSINESSES!. He sighed, as he listened to Kenna, before hearing her say that the world was alot to handle sometimes and that she needed a break. " Do take that break here ". He took a book before opening it, as he knew he was bad at feelings.. he knew how much he had fucked up with Nathaniel at that time, so he for the hell of it, wasnt going to end up saying the wrong thing with this girl either. He just wanted to be done with all the feeling.. and just get on with his actual job, as he looked towards her for a little moment, before he asked " Do you need to vent.. it all out or.. ". He looked at her for a little while, before he said " But just so you know.. i have an emotional handicap.. im extremely bad at.. talking about emotions.. if you need that, i suggest you find another person for that ". He got up, as he walked around a little in the room with the book.

| Kenna was not one to put her problems over on anyone else. She preferred to be the one helping others, not the one getting the help. ”Thank you,” she said when he said she could stay. She just watched him a while when he opened the book. He was actually really pretty. Almost like something taken out of a tv-show or something. She moved her gaze away so she didn’t stare at him. ”No I’m okay,” she said when he invited her to vent. ”That’s funny,” she said and scratched her neck. ”You sound like you don’t understand emotions at all, and I understand them all too well,” she leaned forward a little bit. ”I pick up on things, on emotions. Be careful what you feel around me,” she said and leaned back in the chair again. ”So what’s up with this emotional handicap?” He didn’t seem to be interested in talking about emotions, and that was all she was at the moment, so maybe he would prefer talking about himself. And if not, maybe small talk was the way forward. Just until she knew she could leave without much of a chance of running into Elaine. |

| Ha narrowed his eyes a little, when she asked him about the emotional handicap he had, before he said " There isn´t anything to talk about really. I just never had any childhood drama´s or romances or anything, so i cant relate. End of that topic ". He hated to talk about himself, and he rarely opened up about himself, like into the deepest of himself, so the answer was just short and pretty much explained why he didnt relate to people and could come across as harsh sometimes. He sat down once again in his bed, when he said " I think the person you are trying to avoid, is all gone now ". He looked shortly down at his book, as he said " not to sound like an asshole, after having said you could stay until, but.. i dont really feel like sharing.. i´m not such an open book.. so you wont really get anything good out of talking with me ". He felt defeated, but he also didnt feel like talking about it at all. He didnt know this woman, other than she was Kenna, and smelled like a werewolf.. and was visiting.

| Kenna could feel she was not supposed to push him more on the topic, so she didn’t say anything. She just blinked a few times when he practically threw her out of the room. She stood up and walked a few steps closer to him. ”Just because you say ‘not to sound like an asshole’ doesn’t mean you’re not an asshole,” she crossed her arms over her chest. ”A simple ‘I don’t want to talk about it’ would have sufficed.” She took in a sharp breath. ”You really do suck at emotions,” she tried to stay calm, but he was really pissing her off a little. ”I just needed a distraction because my life really sucks at the moment.” She walked towards the door and grabbed the knob before turning towards him again. ”You’re the advisor, but I have an advice for you; work on your compassion. You need that to work in this family.” She opened the door and looked outside. ”I’m sure we’ll see each other around,” she said and left his room. |
