Night walker - Calvin

Ava shouldn't be out now. The teachers wouldn't be happy about it if they knew. But this was her life now. She was a child of the night. She shortly looked at the daylight ring on her finger. If it wasn't because of this, she couldn't even be out in the sun. And if she for whatever reason didn't have the ring anymore, this was were she had to be. In the dark. She was mostly okay with it by now, but sometimes a thought would hit her and she would be reminded all the things she couldn't do. She would feel a sting in her heart and the be reminded it didn't beat anymore. As she walked the streets, she felt drops of rain fall down on her. Normally she would seek to a dry place, but right now she didn't even care. She wasn't cold, just wet. She tied her hair into a ponytail, not a very pretty one as her hair was already very wet. She stopped dead in her track when she through the rain, picked up on another person's scent, another vampire. She started walking again, but kept all her senses on high alert for the unknown vampire who may or may not be following her. She was much more aware of everything. She had already been killed once, she was not going to let it happen again, not if she could help it.
