It hadnt taken long for Samuel to figure out that people were disappearing in his circle of rich clients - Youngsters that were mostly looking for a quick high to get their party up a few notches. Some returned, some didnt - Most of the returned had a funny story once they were high or drunk enough. Soon it was discovered that an angel, some spanish dude called Xalvador was collecting these rich kids to press their richer parents for their money or sell those who didnt get him his coin. It peaked Samuel's interest, wondering if there could be a possibility in striking a deal with this mysterious angel. He had sent Taegan a location to show up at, standing there at dawn with his hands folded on his back. He looked out upon the sea, wondering and planning in his mind.

Taegan felt exhausted. Getting that vampire out of Ramsay's lair had proved tough on her, but nobody suspected her yet. She had proved her loyalty over and over again, so for now she was safe. She had gotten the message from Samuel, letting her know he wanted to see her, but about what she didn't know yet. The guy kept quiet most of the time and as long as she did her job and provided information to him, she could do mostly as she pleased. "Seeing you calm always brings dread to my system," she chuckled as she walked up next to him. She was dressed rather casual, and to most they must've been looking like a couple up relatively early to meet. "There's not much news since the last time we spoke, however I am beginning to wonder about a certain blood demon wavering in his loyalty," she said, clearly referring to John. She hadn't spoken much to him, but she had seen how he had acted around that banshee woman. Anyone would be blind to deny that he was feeling at least something towards her. "I saw your daughter the other day; she's growing up to be quite the woman," she said in a polite voice, but Taegan if anyone knew who the mother of Vanessa was.

“Do you prefer anger?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. Samuel wasnt known to be a particulary funny man, he prefered to stay serious. Some would say that Cetas had knicked the funny bone in their family, though both brothers were two sides of the same coin when it came to how vile they were. He kept his eyes out on the water, listening to the information that she provided him, nodding a bit. “He must know the consequences if he proves to be less useful and more of a problem?” He asked but he knew. From what he had gathered on the demon, the tower of a man had always had a problem with his dark side, wavering between good and bad. “Do you believe we could offer him a better position?” He then asked, finally turning his head to look at Taegan. She had shown loyalty but Samuel never placed blind trust in anyone.
He frowned a little at the mention of his daughter, lifting his upperlip a little in an annoyed expression, “She’s still unfit to lead the company, should I happen to die. That human boy she’s around hasnt exactly been a help to her training,” he said in a voice of disgust towards the human. He couldnt wrap his head around love, but he had felt it himself in Eilish. Not that sweet love that everyone seemed to be dreaming of, but that comfort in another person that only one could seem to provide in the way that was needed. He popped a smoke in his mouth from his packet. “I might kill him some day,” he said rather casually as he lit his cigarette.

"If I can be blunt, then I'd prefer you just be whatever you please; You might be hard to read, but that's part of the fun," Taegan remarked, looking at Samuel with a rather genuine smile. She knew it wasn't good to be around others too much, hence why she kept mostly to herself when she wasn't needed somewhere. Speaking about John was not something they had done before. She had never considered the blood demon anything but loyal to Rayna, but now it could be a time to strike if Samuel wanted him on his side. "He has found himself in a pickle, let's say that much, and he seems to have found company in a certain former hostage - a hostage that mysteriously escaped," she said in a thoughtful voice. Being asked about his usefulness made her shrug. "He's strong, that's for sure, but he would only pledge loyalty if there was some safety repercussions," she said looking at the still water. The air outside was chilly, the wind from the ocean growing stronger every day. "But he's a nice card to have up your sleeve for a rainy day," she said. She was not going to pretend like she knew if he was worth it, because frankly all she had seen John do was act as the muscle of it all. But perhaps he had some brain behind the brawn as well? The facial expression Samuel pulled at the mention of Vanessa could've made her scoff, but she remained quiet. She made a thoughtful expression as Samuel lit his cigarette, shrugging a bit. "Why kill him if he can act as a shield for your daughter - if he loves her, he would probably gladly give his life for her safety?" she suggested, shaking her head. That wasn't why she was summoned here. There had to be another reason, not just that he wanted to chat. Samuel was usually right to the point, but it seemed almost as if something had changed in the cold demon. "Can we cut to the chase?" she asked rather bluntly, but she didn't find it necessary to be polite when both of them knew this was purely business related.
