Morgan had no idea what to expect from this place. Her first lesson, in which she was not even supposed to be, had been rather chaotic. She felt bad for the teacher who just wanted them all to take it seriously. Later that day, she had explored more of the school. She had fallen in love with the garden. It was such a peaceful place. She had stayed there for an hour before moving on to see more of the school. Every day since, she had returned to this spot, soaking up the sun while she was reading, listening to music or using an app to put together outfits. Morgan had never been very verbal. Mostly it was because of her status in the pack - she was not supposed to speak up. Maybe that had helped evolve the shyness already inside of her. But the clothes she war, the combinations she made, that was how she really expressed herself. She could be seen dressed very differently in a period of time, depending on how she was feeling in that time. Right now her style was very light and simple. She had started a new chapter in her life, a clean break, so to speak. She was placed on a bench near a bush with small flowers in between the leaves. It gave off a nice floral scent. She was just sitting there and listening to music while her gaze was moving around the garden. Had she been in her own room she might have gotten up to dance, but she was afraid someone might see her.

The days were still hot in Gaia, the sun above beaming down, warming up the Earth with its immense rays of sun. Charles was getting back into the groove of submitting one self to a hierarchy, and his inner anarchist wasn’t having it. He had a way of expressing himself, mostly through the way he looked. Some people found it repelling, others found it alluring. Whatever the case was he wasn’t going to change himself for no one. That introduction class had ended out a mess, but he sure as hell wouldn’t take the blame for it, even though mr. Netzach had given him detention. He knew he deserved it, but it was only because the rules set in place were so narrow minded. Today he had nothing to do, most friends either busy or not even in the country. Ohio was a boring state, but hell all his friends lived there. Well if you excluded the ones he had made at the academy. He took out his phone, seeing a few unanswered messages, some he wasn’t even thinking about opening. Then he spotted her, and how could he not? She was sitting there, earphones in her ears and she was clearly listening to music. He walked over, giving her a flirty smirk before he sat down next to her. He was curious by nature, taking one of the earphones out of her ear and looked at it before popping it into his, listening to what type of music she liked.

Morgan's taste in just about everything were very 'vanilla'. There was not an alternative body in her bone. Some found this annoying, but she tried to not take it into account. She might not look it, but she was a fighter. Being an omega, especially in a pack like hers, meant she would not always be treated right. She would have to find a way to overcome it. She had quickly learned it would be a waste of energy to try and fight back. Most werewolves were stronger than her. She had just found ways to get through it all. It had not been easy, but her father had been a great help. When he was killed, she had been lost. He was the last family she had, unless you counted an aunt she had never met. Such a young girl should not face the world completely alone, but she had been forced to. She thought herself stronger because of it. She noticed the movement when one of the boys from the class appeared. He was barely dressed, showing off his tattoed body. She had never caught his name - maybe in had been said, but in that class, it had been hard to keep track of everything. She followed him with her gaze as he moved close. His expression lived up the nickname she had granted him until she knew his name - flirter. It wasn't very creative, but it was fitting. She was not sure what to think when he just took one of the earphones from her ear, putting it in his own. Just before he did so, the playlist had changed to "who do you love" by The Chainsmokers and 5 seconds of summer. She had just put on a playlist with new hits and that had been amongst it. Although she had heard it more than once.

Charles was a charmer, no doubt about it, as well as being extremely talkative, however he also liked just listening to music. He would usually get a fit if people skipped his music or just ignored it i he was showing something. Music was a great relaxing tool for him. The song he knew, but only because it kept popping up on Spotify. He was more to the alternative stuff, but the new things was something he was rather open about. He leaned back against the tree, looking up at the crown and sighing to himself as his hands started tapping along to the beat. She was quiet, but he had just interrupted some time that seemed to be just for her. He didn’t care though, liking attention even if it was the negative kind. “This is, very safe for a girl like you, wouldn’t you say?” he commented on the song with a smirk, looking back at her. Even when sitting down he was a great deal higher than her, his long limbs stretching out in the grass. He wasn’t really dissing her song choices, he was more searching for permission to find something else, that he thought she might like. He grabbed her phone with his charming smile, leaning a bit closer to her face, looking into her shining blue eyes. “Would you like to try something different?” He asked in a low sensual voice, as if she was the only person in the whole world that mattered to him. He was good at his game of seduction, his life kinda depended on it. If she let him he would tap a few words into the Spotify she had open, adding a song to queue; A Forest by The Cure. Then he handed back her phone with a small smirk, biting the inside of his lip a bit, showing off his teeth a bit.

Morgan hadn't decided how she felt about him yet. He definitely had an affect on her, but he had been a little much for her when they first met. She preferred the calm and quiet, and he had not been that. But right now, as they just sat under a tree listening to music, she enjoyed his company. She watched him, studied him when he leaned back against the tree looking towards the sky. His fingers drumming along to the beat of the music. He was quite captivating, making it hard for her to look away. She finally looked away, letting her finger run alongside the cord. His words made her light eyes look at him again. ”A girl like me?” What kind of a girl was he referring to? She had noticed how tall he was. Compared to her being a few centimeters shy of 170 in centimeter. Even as they sat here it was easy to see he was quite a deal taller than her. She didn't protest when he grabbed her phone, certainly not when he was leaning in and smiling charmingly. It made her heart beat a little faster. She just nodded when he asked for permission to play another song. He put it in queue, but she was curious of what he had found. The moment she was handed back the phone, she skipped to the song. She was not sure what to think of it. It was very different that what she usually listening to. Morgan was sitting on a joke, but she was not sure if she should tell it or not. He might be the kind of person who would enjoy it. And if not, what was the worst that could happen? ”I think you need to be on hallucinogens to enjoy it,” her voice was soft. She was still not sure if she should have said it, but now she had. ”No, I like it,” she then added and looked at him with a smile.

Charles couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as she asked what he meant by ’girl like her’, making him shake his head a little, looking into her blue eyes. ”I feel like there something wild hiding under those sheepclothes,” he said, raising an eyebrow as he looked a bit down her body, scoffing in a laugh as he leaned back against the tree. He was aware of how he looked, but if people wanted to stare they could. Most people had gotten used to him being the way he was, so it was usually just the first year students staring at him like he was a freak. As he handed the phone back he noticed that she just skipped directly to the song, making him close his eyes as his hands tapped to the rythm in a softer volume. He chuckled at her joke, looking down at her, sticking out his tongue a bit. ”It’s quite good with that too, but the song kinda acts like it’s own drug, right?” he said with a smile, reaching out to touch her cheek a little with his index finger. He did have a weakness for girls like Morgan, those innocent looking girls that didn’t know what they had coming. He was glad she liked it, seeing her smile just made him chuckle a bit as he leaned closer leaning down to her ear. ”I hear her voice, calling my name - The sound is deep, in the dark,” he sang in a low raspy voice against her ear. He could hear her heart beat, the must beautiful noise that any living being could produce. He moved his head back, looking into her eyes with a seductive look behind his own blue color.

Sheep clothes? Was she wearing sheep clothes? She looked down herself to check – although she knew it was a metaphor. ”A wolf in sheep clothes has never been so literal,” she suggested. She didn’t know if she agreed or not. She was not trying to be like a sheep, but maybe that was exactly what she was doing. ”Can a wolf successfully pretend to be sheep?” She questioned. Morgan wasn’t sure it was possible in the long haul for a wolf to pretend to be anything but what they were. She tilted her head to the side when he put out his tongue. What was he doing that for? Was it to tease like you would as a child, or to create attention to his tongue and lips? Maybe both. ”Good songs does that,” she argued. She had yet to find many songs she felt were written for her. Perhaps she should try listening to more alternative music. It was hard for her to relate to pop songs about love or heart break, when she had never felt either. She froze when he touched her cheek. He was so fast to touch her in a rather intimate manner. Whether she liked it or not, she still felt her cheeks warm up underneath his touch. She breathed a little heavier when he moved closer to her ear to recite some of the lyrics of the song. ”Definitely like a drug,” she said and looked away from him. The song ended and she decided to not listen to it anymore. It was almost rude to do so with him right here. She looked back at him. ”Did you get away unharmed?” She quickly realized it sounded strange out of context. ”From the class,” she added.

”If you hide for long enough, you’ll convince yourself you’re something you’re not,” Charles answered with a small shrug. He didn’t believe that one could keep an act up. He was all about being his authentic self, and hiding wasn’t really a possibility for him anymore. Not with the way he expressed himself on his skin and in his clothing style. He nodded at her notion about good songs being like that. He would have to agree, but sometimes even songs weren’t strong enough for his taste, but he had made that known in class. Having receited the lyrics to her he just leaned a bit away, he could hear the blood rush to her cheeks, making him want to linger closer to her. As she looked back at him he met her with his blue eyes. Watching her he looked completely enchanted by her, his lips seperated a bit as he looked at her. She was beautiful, no point in denying that, and she had something about her that made him long for more. Her question made him chuckle under his breath as he looked into her eyes. He placed a hand under her chin, looking deeper into her clear blue eyes. ”I’m here now, aren’t I?” he whispered, not taking his eyes off of her. ”But no, mister N gave me a fair warning and a scolding to follow – However nothing could keep me away from seeing you again,” he said in a sensual tone.

”Very true,” she agreed with a nod. Did that apply to her as well? Was she hiding? She wasn’t sure anymore. She tried not to. Morgan wasn’t sure why he had taken an interest in her. They had barely spoken in the class. She was trying to enjoy the attention, but she couldn’t help but think there was something else. Maybe he wanted something, although it was unlikely she had anything to offer him. She couldn’t keep her eyes away from him. He just had something that made it nearly impossible. He was not a type she would usually go for. He would have been someone she passed on the street, wondering if it hurt to get all those tattoos. But now she was sitting here with him, knowing he would never just be a stranger to her. He was impossible to ignore. His chuckle made the hairs on her arms stand on end. She wished he didn’t have such a strong affect on her, but she couldn’t deny that she felt some attraction towards him. It was more than that. It was like she would miss out on something if she stayed away from him. Something she might spend the rest of her life obsessing over. She shortly looked away from his eyes when he put a hand under her chin. She wasn’t able to do so long, before she met his gaze again. ”So you are,” she replied in a similar tone of voice. His words could be considered sweet, but his tone made her think differently. She had no idea what to respond. She just sat there quietly, completely flustered.

Charles didn’t mind her being quiet, he found it almost endearing. Running his thumb over her jaw, he shortly looked down at her lips. He was not a guy for kissing the girls he was pursuing. There was something intimate about a kiss, that he felt it didn’t really belong in his life. He could feel the blood move under her skin, hear how her heart was beating like the steady drum it was. Her eyes were fleeting, but he was glad she looked back at him. She seemed almost flustered, but he didn’t mind her being shy like this. ”Am I making you uncomfortable?” he asked, furrowing his brows as he was trying to figure out what she wanted. She hadn’t moved away from him, she hadn’t even flinched. His tumb ran gently down the length of her jaw until it reached her neck, moving in gentle circles around where her pulse was on the side of it. If there was something he liked, it was moments like this. The grey area of where to go next. ”I’m not really supposed to flirt with girls that belong to someone else,” he whispered, moving a little closer, their faces mere inches from each other. ”But I guess you have put a spell on me,” he whispered, sending her a faint smile.

She didn’t know how to act in situations like this. She didn’t even know what she wanted, or what he wanted. His thumb left Uncomfortable. No, she wasn’t that. ”No. I’m okay,” she assured him. Maybe it was risky for her sitting this close with him, but it was also thrilling. He awoke some feelings and sensations in her she had never felt. He was talking about songs being a drug, she had a feeling he might get her addicted if they continued spending time together. His thumb moved down to her neck. She had no way of describing how such a simple act could have this kind of affect on her. She even stopped breathing a movement until he spoke again. ”I..” He moved closer, making her breathless once again. ”I don’t belong to anyone,” she whispered. Other than her alpha, who could make a claim on her? She swallowed by his following words. ”I’m not a witch,” she reminded him, mostly as a joke. Just in case he actually forgot, although it was unlikely. She was just a little socially awkward sometimes. Social cues were not so easily read for her. She was not sure if she was supposed to do something. Did he want to kiss her? She couldn’t tell.

She was alright, it made him smile to hear her say that. He knew he was overwhelming at times, seeing as he enjoyed physical contact so much. He was a little surprised to hear her say that she didn’t belong to anyone, seeing how submissive she was, he could smell the omega genes in her. Omegas usually belonged to a pack, and he couldn’t imagine that she wasn’t in a pack. ”You don’t have to be a witch to make me spellbound,” he said in a sweet whisper, leaning closer to her face. He let his lips hover over hers for a while, closing his eyes halfway as he looked at her. If she didn’t move away he would lean in, kissing her with a tender touch of his lips against hers. An incubus was made for seduction, but combined with his ability he could be quite the charmer as well. He moved his lips ever so carefully against hers, letting his thumb run in circles over her pulse on her neck. The kiss wasn’t long, he just wanted to see how she reacted, smiling charmingly as he pulled away. ” I’m sorry, I guess you’re stronger than I thought,” he whispered, sounding almost breathless.

Morgan did belong to a pack, but she was still her own person. Lorenzo could command her to anything he wished for, but they had barely spoken in many years now. He was her alpha, but that was all he was now. They were no longer friends. She hoped to reconnect with him here at the school. She barely heard his words, because of his whisper. He was such a strong presence; it was almost impossible to focus on anything but him when he was near. ”I suppose not,” she said when his words made sense to her. They had scrambled together, which explained why she had taken a break before answering him. She felt his lips nearly touching hers. She felt frozen. He had frozen her. But she didn’t mind. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but that was also very exciting. For the first time in a long time, she was not doing everything safe and by the rules. She was so far past her comfort zone she could barely see it anymore, but that was a good thing. You couldn’t grow if you stayed safe all the time. But she did remember her father’s words. Kissing was dangerous. He had told her that, but never truly explained why. Yet, she didn’t pull away when he moved closer, letting his lips touch hers. They were so soft. Were all lips that soft? As he moved his lips against hers, she felt like something wild was released in her stomach. It felt longer than it was to her. A whole hour could have gone by, and she wouldn’t have noticed. His voice sounded breathless as he spoke again. Was he having trouble breathing just as she was? ”You don’t have to be sorry,” she told him when she had collected herself enough to form a full sentence. She didn’t move away from him. Now more than ever, she craved to be close to him.

Charles was awfully aware of his demonic side beckoning to just grab her and pull her closer, but for now he just stuck with what could be considered a sweet kiss. Her lips were carefully moving against his, and he could feel his needs rise, feeling the need to growl almost, but he kept himself composed. There was no reason to scare her away now that he had planted a kiss on her. As he moved away, he couldn’t help but chuckle a little as she said he didn’t have to be sorry. He wasn’t really sorry, however, he knew what he was doing. ”I’m an incubus, you should be running,” he whispered, moving close to her again, this time kissing her cheek gently, running his hand from her neck down the side of her body. He was aware of their surroundings, not wanting to be spotted and get in trouble with a teacher yet again. His lips moved carefully down to her jaw, reaching her neck without much of a problem. Letting his lips brush over her pulse made him pull her a little closer. ”You really should be running,” he mumbled against her skin, kissing her pulse gently as if it was made of the purest of materials.

Morgan felt a confidence she had not been used to. He brought her that, just by being here, showing an interest in her. Some of it had to come from inside, surely, but external forces could help some as well. Charles was proof of that. She touched the side of her neck when he told what he was. She didn’t mind, but it explained why she felt so drawn to him. She rarely ran away from people and was not going to run from him either. She sighed lightly when he kissed her neck and let his hand run down her body. His touch was almost to much for her to handle. She had absolutely no experience in this, and now she was entangled with a demon who was basically made off sex. ”I’m not running,” she told him a tiny bit firmer than her usual soft tone. When his lips moved down her jaw until reaching her neck, she felt how her body was going insane. Her heart was beating so fast she could hear it herself. Rush after rush appeared in her stomach for each kiss he laid against her skin. He pulled her closer, which just made her body react even stronger. Morgan had no idea what to do with her hands, so she just put on her thigh and the other on his arm. ”How can I?” If he continued to stay this close to her, there was no way she would be able to leave.

Charles exhaled against her skin as she said she wouldn’t be running. He loved hearing that, not that he would tell her that. He could hear her heart, beating and trying to keep up with what he was doing, and he felt the need to just give in to that sound. How could she really run? He was designed for this, made for this long before they had met. His instincts were to find prey, to take them and gain the pleasure from each victim he chose. Sometimes it wasn’t even by choice, it was purely random. A fire in him that was impossible to put out. ”Push me away,” he whispered against her neck, moving down to her collarbone. ”Yell for help,” he said, sticking out his tongue to give the nape of her neck a little lick. ”Curse me back to the hell in which I originate,” he said, pushing her gently down on the ground. He was still awfully aware, but the garden made for a great hiding place. He sighed against her collarbone, moving a bit away. He sat up, shaking his head as he rubbed his temples. He knew he should just take her, and be done with it, but the school had gotten a better security system. Charles wasn’t planning on taking her soul, rather wanting her body and to hear it scream in pleasure, but that would maybe require a bit more privacy. ”I guess I should get to class,” he said with a smile, but the fuel had already been dispursed on his fiery soul. ”Unless you wanna skip it with me?” he said in a chuckle as he looked at her. He leaned over her again, looking at her blonde hair that laid like a golden crown against the green grass beneath. ”I could make you feel things you wouldn’t be able to feel otherwise,” he whispered teasingly running his hand down to her thigh.

His suggestions as to how she could run away were valid, but never something she would do. Not unless she felt like she was in real danger. She didn’t feel like that right now. His last suggestion was the cruelest of them all. She would never even consider sending him back to hell – not that she knew how to. ”No.” She just said. He seemed to think she should run, but what if she didn’t want to? He pushed her towards the ground in a gentle movement, letting her lay down on the grass underneath them. She laid her arms against the grass. He moved away from her, sat up and rubbed his temples. Morgan was just now realizing, people would have been able to see all that went on with them. It made her so self-aware, she felt like she could barely be in his own body. She nodded when he announced he had to back to class. Maybe that was for the best. She felt herself lose control with him around. That was the scariest part of it to her. Yet, when he invited her to skip with him, she knew right away what to say. ”Yes. Let’s skip.” School hadn’t officially started, so her classes had yet to begin. There were some intro classes, but none until the next day. She was intrigued. Things she would never be able to feel otherwise. That sounded like something that could turn dangerous. For some reason, that didn’t bother her. She was not scared for what he could do. She knew what he could do to her, what incubi usually did. Morgan chose to trust him. How she hoped she wasn’t making a mistake. She sat up and ran a few fingers through her hair.

Charles had warned her more than enough, that he wouldn’t feel the least slight of guilt if something were to happen between them. He had practically begged her to push him away, but she had stayed and he knew he had her where he wanted. There was something so nicely submissive about her, that he couldn’t quite put a finger on. Maybe it was her omega gene, but he couldn’t imagine that being this strong. No, he knew something wild was hiding under the surface, and he wanted to find out how far he could push it. He might get a whole pack of werewolves on his ass, but he wasn’t one to think about consequences. As she sat up, he moved to his feet, reaching a hand down to help her up if she wanted. As she got up, he moved an arm around her shoulders, pressing her tight and started to move at her pace out of the garden. A few people looked, and he knew the gossip would spread like wildfire on an academy like Athena, so he let them stare. Mostly it was the girls he had flirted with from time to time, feeling cheated at not being the one he had an arm around. ”Make sure to smile,” he whispered in her ear as they walked. ”I like it when you smile,” he added, smiling his crooked smile at her as he leaned back up. They walked along the garden, the magic flowers always in bloom. ”Tell me something about yourself,” he said with a chuckle. Sure, he had taken note of what she had said in that introduction class, but it was very limited. She had sounded lonely, and he knew that feeling quite well, only he never showed it.

Morgan wasn't thinking about what could happen. It just felt impossible to reject him. She was not good at telling people off or tell them something she thought would upset them. Not only was she submissive because of being an omega. She was also a people-pleaser. It was important to her thqt people around her were comfortable. She took his hand and got on her feet. Feeling his arm around her shoulder, being close to him again was a relief in a way. She moved with him in a slow pace. She liked to have time to notice her surroundings. She noticed how people were looking at them. At her. It was mostly girls and it made her slightly uncomfortable to get that much attention. She only just looked at them before turning her gaze. She looked at him when he moved closer. She could feel his breath against her ear, tickling her. When he said he liked her smile, a smile arrived at her lips naturally. She always tried not to force them. They were best if they were sincere. She either looked at the flowers around them or Charles, both getting the same amount of attention. Something about herself. What could she say? ”I like tortoises.” it was random and innoncent, but she couldn't think of anything better. ”Do you know the difference between turtles and tortoises? There was few times you would experience Morgan speak in a monolog. Talking about turtles and tortoises were one of those times.

Charles couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at her confession. It was quite random, but hell any words coming out of her mouth would be better than going to class. He couldn’t help but look at her lips as she spoke. Of course he wanted to kiss her again, make her submit to his will and wish to just give in to his instincts. ”I don’t know, please do tell,” he said with a faint smile on his lips, but his eyes was showing a bit of confusion. He normally hung around bimbos, or that was how Lana would describe them. He liked girls that just went along with whatever he said, but he had a feeling he would have to fight a little more to convince Morgan of anything. She didn’t know, or maybe she did, but he was slowly moving them towards the gate of the academy. He wanted to take her into the city. He felt most at home in the streets, maybe because it reminded him so much of his childhood, but he shrugged the thought out of his head as he looked at her. He opened the gate, nodding and smiling innocently at the guards, chuckling a bit as he pulled Morgan closer, burying his face in her hair for a second. It was all about showing off for Charles. His partners weren’t just for pleasure, they were to be shown off, like a symbol of worship. ”I should probably go feed,” he mumbled, sounding sad against her hair. He knew he should have gotten something to eat earlier, but he had been pretty preoccupied. ”Sorry, you don’t wanna hear that – I just don’t want to do something that you don’t want,” he chuckled, moving his head away from her hair to look at her.

Morgan looked excited when he asked her to tell him. ”Okay, first tortoises only live on the ground and turtles likes the water best. The shell of a tortoise is heavier than that of a turtle. Turtles live for 20-40 years on average. Tortoises live for 80-150 years. The oldest living tortoise is 326 years!” She was speaking with such a spark in her eyes. She was happy that someone finally wanted to hear about it. ”I’m sorry. I get a little excited sometimes.” She was trying to not apologize for who she was. She just liked Charles and wanted to make a good impression on him. Morgan wasn’t thinking about where they were going. She was following him blindly. Maybe it was because he had been her first kiss, or perhaps, more likely, it was because of his species. He was supposed to do this, wasn’t he? Enchant people and feed off them. Of course, there was a chance she was nothing but a meal to him, but she chose to believe it was more than that. Her trust in him definitely came because he was the first who had kissed her, or even shown that kind of interest in her. Or maybe she had just been to blind to notice. She felt a rush to her stomach when he pulled her closer. She heard his words, but what she really noticed was how sad he sounded. She stood still, not sure what to tell him. He needed to feed, and she was certain he wasn’t craving a burger, like she was. ”No, I wouldn’t want that either.” She was not raised to be judging of what people had to do to survive. She was a predator, so was he. Just a different kind. She snuck her hand into is. ”I want a burger. Can you get what you need at or near a restaurant?” She was not sure how it worked, but if he could get what he needed while she had her burger, that would be fine with her. She didn’t know with certainty what it was an incubus did, but then again, why should that change anything? She liked him, and that was the only important thing.

| She spoke so passionately about those two animals that it made him chuckle a bit. He for sure wouldn’t remember the difference, but it was nice hearing her talk about something that she seemed to care about. ”Don’t be sorry, not when you’re around me,” he said with a smile, placing a gentle kiss against her hair. He was very affectionate with anyone he was pursuing in that moment. It wasn’t like he didn’t care, he actually cared a lot, but it was easier not showing it often. The way she snuck her hand into his made him raise an eyebrow at her, looking at her as she suggested going to a restaurant. ”I probably could,” he said, shrugging as most places like that often had what he was looking for anyways. They got to the small burger joint, he opened the door for her, scanning the room as they got in. He noticed a black haired girl already staring at him, sending her a charming smile before he turned to Morgan, grabbing her chin shortly to make her look at him. ”It won’t be long,” he promised, a smile on his lips as he leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead and let her go to the table that she wanted to. The black haired girl had already risen from her seat like she was in a trance and moved to one of the restrooms. Charles followed, but made sure Morgan wouldn’t really pay attention. It wasn’t that she didn’t know what he was, it was more of making sure she felt comfortable around him. Trusted him even.
It didn’t take long before he returned, his body more relaxed as he sat down at the table with her. He leaned over the table, running his indexfinger over her cheek. ”What did you order?” he asked in a gentle tone, alluring even.

It was nice to know she didn’t have to feel sorry with him. He felt like a place where she could be who she was with no filters or restraints. That in itself was a feeling she would never be tired of. ”I’ll try not to,” she promised him. He was always so close to her. She was having a hard time functioning with him around. She usually didn’t function well, but it was worse with him. But in a way, it was a great kind of malfunction. He got her out of her shell a little, made her forget that people were around them. All she saw was him, and that made her bolder than she would have been otherwise. She smiled when he agreed to go to the burger joint. She walked through the door and looked around. Morgan turned her face to him, when she felt his fingers around her chin. ”Okay,” her voice was soft and gentle. She felt a warmth on her forehead even after he had left. She walked to the line to order some food. She gave her order and could sit down at a table not long after. In front of her was a simple cheeseburger, some fries and a chocolate milkshake. She smiled at him when he sat down. There it was again, that touch that made her forget they were not alone in the world. ”Oh just uh..” She had forgotten a moment and shook her head to snap out of it. ”Just a cheeseburger and a shake,” she managed to say without making a fool of herself. ”You can have some if you like,” she pushed the plate towards him so it was placed in the middle. She took a fry and dipped it in the milkshake. Yes, she was that kind of a girl. ”Do people usually forget the world when they’re around you? Because I do.” She noticed some movements once in a while, but he had her full attention as long he wanted it.

”A cheeseburger and a shake – Are you trying to appeal to my American roots?” he chuckled, but he didn’t mind food that much. He mostly liked foods that had a strong taste, or even very spicy food, because it seemed to reach through his usually numb taste buds. His blue eyes followed the fry she had picked up, watching it’s journey until it reached her lips and disappeared into her mouth. Her question made him chuckle, leaning a bit back in his seat. ”Forget the world?” he asked as he was quite oblivious to the effect he had on others. He knew what he did and why he did it, but most of the things he said or did was coming from pure instinct. Embedded in him from his DNA. He smiled at her, playing with the salt container on the table, swirling it around, but never dropping any of the salt. ”I guess I’ve never really thought about how I affect others,” he stated with a small chuckle following. He placed the salt container back on the table, leaning forward and looking into her eyes. He grabbed one of her fries, dipping it in her milkshake before holding it to her lips. ”But making the world just be the two of us sounds awfully alluring,” he teased in a tender tone.

”Maybe,” she just said with whatever confidence she could access, hoping it was convincing enough. She hadn’t thought much about it to be honest. She was not a big fan of spicy food. A little spice was okay, but when it got too hot, she easily felt ill. She could sense how the strong flavor traveled through her system, just to explode in her stomach and make her feel numb in places that shouldn’t be affected by food in any way. How was it even possible food could affect how you felt in your toes? Perhaps it was something she didn’t understand about peppers and chilis. Or maybe she was just weird. She nodded when he repeated. ”It’s like everything else in a blur..” She shortly looked at his hand moving the salt around. Morgan quickly had to look back in his eyes, however. ”No, I suppose that is not a thing people usually do.” She had never done it, at least. She mostly just thought people didn’t notice, which was not that far off. She followed his movement when he took the fry. She moved closer, her lips touching the tip of his finger as she released the fry from his grip. She chewed it but stopped when he spoke. She swallowed and nodded. ”I might not be opposed to that,” she agreed in a lowered tone. It was not easy for her to admit she had any feelings leaning against something romantic. She was petrified of ever having her heart broken.
