@Dylan <3 [Simon to Dylan 12:05]: Let's meet at the market, alright? [Simon 12:07]: Waffles on me if you're there before 30. It was a nice day to go out, so Simon decided to, texting his friend Dylan to hear if she wanted to hang out. Staying in the forest for too long would just make him go full cave-man eventually, had to get back to the city and reconnect with those he knew. He was holding a slushie in his hand as he waited, tripping a bit on tiptoes as he felt a bit excited, looking at a clock nearby that said 12.23. The market was a big thing around here, wonderful small treasures lying around only to be found. It wasnt that Simon cared much for trinkets, but he did want something to remind him of the time he was going to spend here. Pulling the phone out of his pocket he waited for her to arrive, checking their chat from time to time to see if she had replied or given any updates on her whereabouts. More so he was excited to see if she would make it on time.

[Dylan to Simon: 12:07] Okay, I'll hurry! Dylan had been sitting on the computer all they, catching up with emails. Which was such a shame on a sunny day like this, however she had come to accept that it was how her life was. However the soon as her phone buzzed and she saw a message from Simon, she picked it up. It was a long time since she had seen her friend, and when he said he gave food - who could resist. Dylan replied back and finished the email she was half way answering before she closed her laptop. She got up from her desk and walked out of the hotel. The weather was nice and her skin longed over the touch of sunlight. Dylan walked quite fast, and used her senses to find Simon in the crowd. Her face lighted up when she saw him, and she walked to him. " And you manged to get me off my laptop," she smiled before giving him a hug, "d id you cast a spell on me or something - because that rarely happens," she added with a warm smile as she stepped out of the hug again. "Did I make it in time?" |

He took a deep sip of his slushie as his eyes fell upon her nearing him through the crowd, chuckling with happiness as it had been a long while since they last saw eachother. But chuckling when your mouth was filled with crushed goodness, didnt always end as planned. He got in a fit of coughing as he had inhaled the sugary goodness, harking to clear his throat as she approached him. He smiled and tried to play it off by looking calm, pressing her close as she hugged him. Simon wasnt the type of person to give a one armed hug, no he was all in there with both arms in a bear hug kind of thing. "That's quite a privilege," he said in a happy tone and chuckled at her addition. "I guess I must be magical now," he said with a shrug that said: Who knows? I could totally be a magician, you wouldnt know before he let her go. He clicked his tongue as he looked down at his wristwatch, scoffing as he looked at her, "Barely. Let's say you stepped in a second before 30. So I guess that means you did make it," he said before he scratched his neck, "Waffles on me," he said with a chuckle as he then looked around. "I havent been here before, but I'm already digging these calm vibes. Kinda reminds me of the forest," he said as he then frowned a bit with a goofy smile, "Oh lord, do I sound like a happy camper now?" he asked as he scratched his scalp looking at her with a worried expression - But it was just a part of his jest due to his time spend in the forest rather with the civilization of the citylife.

It was by now she realized how much she had missed him. Missed being close to him, and those hugs! She had missed his hugs so badly without even realizing it till this point. He looked down at his watch, and she looked at hers. She looked at the judge of time, and smiled a bit brighter when he agreed to the fact that she had made it. "I have been here a few times, but it was with Marisol - so she as usually just wanted to see the fashion area," she chuckled a little and shook her head about the thought of her sister. "But yeah its nice. I haven't spend as much time in the woods as you however," she pointed out with a little smirk. Dylan narrowed her eyes a little, "only a little. More like the cute hippie-camper type,"she teased with a little wink before grabbing his arm. "You should come into the city more often then - I have missed your company," she pointed out and walked with him closer to the smaller food places. It was a quite nice place, with food stores placed almost like small houses next to each other. So much food, such little time. "I mean what is there in the woods that isn't here.. other than less noise."

"Well it's your lucky day. I'm not all that into fashion," he said with a grin as he looked at her with a warm smile, before he gasped, "But sports... Oh my lord, I can only start...." he started but then he looked at her and realized it probably wasnt what they were going to do, "But I guess I wont," he chuckled and shook his head. He felt so naturally comfortable around Dylan, it wasnt something he could explain, she just seemed to make him smile and make him want her to laugh. Her tease made him wrinkle his nose as he lowered his gaze to make his third chin become more apparent, "Cute hippie camper?" he asked like he barely could believe it. "Ah. I guess I am a hippie camper," he said after a long ponder as she then grabbed his arm. They walked to the small food stands and he made a warm smile at her point, "Yeah, I definitely should," he said as he nodded to his words, "It's been far too long Dylan," he said as he looked at her before he looked at the stores around them. Street food seemed like a dangerous thing, but he was sure it would be fine. The stomach-ache would be the company worth. "Well, the air there isnt as thick as here. All the cars and stuff. But other than that, it's the cities that have everything while the woods have well. Everything untouched by mankind," he pointed out as he looked to a pancake store, shaking his head as he had promised waffles. "What can a man do to get some god damned waffles out here?" he called out in the uttermost american accent he had, people turning their heads to look at them. He quickly looked around as well and then to Dylan, "Wow, people from the states surely are loud," he remarked as he started laughing.

She was beyond happy at this moment. When had she last felt this warm feeling in her chest twist around so naturally? How could she have been stuck behind a desk for so long, that she hadn't payed attention to what she had been missing out on. "For sure, we will have to do something about that," she pointed out and looked him in the eye with a serious look. "I for sure love the woods, but I could never pull the hippie camper lifestyle off as well as you do," she pushed her shoulder a little against his in a tease. Dylan laughed a little as he yelled for waffles, and moved her free hand up to cover her laugh as people starred at them. Dylan made an apologizing grin to a few strangers and put her head down on his shoulder, trying not to laugh to hard. "I thought people back in Spain where loud, you just flipped my reality around," she breathed out in a smaller laughter. She took her head back and looked around. "Oh down there!" she pointed to a waffle house.

"I agree," he replied in his utmost serious tone before he softened up in a laugh. Things just were a bit better with Dylan around, there was no doubt about it. He chuckled at her tease and scoffed in a soft exhale, "I'm not even pulling anything off. I suck at camper life," he admitted as he chuckled and returned her push with a light one, holding a firm grip on her arm around his. The yell had been a jest, but people around them seemed to have gotten their peace disturbed. Simon smiled a bit shyly at the people who seemed to stare for longer than would be meant as a scold. He moved his head to her as her heartwarming laughter was ever contagious, making him laugh as well. "Oh, you should come to the south of the states then. It's all hillbillys and yelling, something along the lines of 'Well I'll be a monkey's uncle, if that aint rats in ma taters, y'all better skedaddle before I bring out my gun! I aint having no darn rats in my taters, that's for sure!'," he said with a chuckle, imitating a perfect redneck accent, his laughter calming down, but when he looked at her he couldnt help but laugh again. She just had that power over him, but he enjoyed it. As she pointed to a waffle house, he started moving towards it, thinking the faster they got away from the scene of crime, the better. "They'll never know it was me," he said in a low tone like it was some sort of classified information, though everyone seemed to know it had been him. He looked up at the waffle house with amazed eyes, "Like the one from Hansel and Grethel," he remembered as he looked at her with a smile, "Do you think we'll meet a witch?" he asked with a small warm smile.

She had the impression that either people were campers or they weren’t, however it depended a lot of how many days she should spend in the forest. It was a nice feeling being close to him, she wanted to stay close to him. It was a weird feeling but it was there - making her think. Luckily his parody took her mind back to another wave of harmonically laughter. She stopped for a second but one look and they both started laughing. They went to the Waffle House, like was it taken out of a fairytale book. She gave a nod in agreement when he pointed out, that it looked like the one from Hansel and Grethel. ” yeah no one will ever find you a person of interest when you walk into a Waffle House,” she teased by the remembrance of them sneaking away from the other scene. ”Maybe. Or maybe not. Guess we will have to find out. Ready to face some danger?” she asked with a small daring look in her eyes, however it was hard to keep her mask up and she laughed again before opening the door. She still didn’t let go of his arm. Was it weird? She hopes not. The place was like magic, like the scene was placed right in the book. ”wow look at this place.. it’s incredible.”

Making her laugh was so heartwarming. He swore that he hadnt heard a more joyous laughter than the one he could make her do with his impressions or mishaps, but he would keep them going as long as he could get to hear that laughter of hers. "It's the perfect hideout," he said almost proudly, not sure how long he could keep this going before he would laugh again. He was taken away from the edge of laughter when she answered his question with another question following. He took a good look at the house before he shook his head, "Nah, we got nothing to worry about. After all, she's all for eating kids, two adults like us would have nothing to worry about," he then said with a smile, before he narrowed his eyes, "But we should definitely protect any kid that is in there," he added with a serious tone before he smiled a goofy grin, stepping into the house. He didnt mind that she still held onto his arms, this was what friends did right? Right? When they got inside, his jaw felt like it could drop to the floor but it just dropped down to the middle of his throat, looking around with amazement, "Holy crap. This must have taken agesssss," he said as he whistled with astonishment. He looked to her and then around again, "Did you know it would look this good? Trying to impress me?" he asked with a serious tone before he gasped a bit as he saw a beautiful decoration of the Hansel and Grethel story in the shop, "If so, it's working. Yep it's definitely working," he assured her before she could answer.

Dylan had been to a lot of places in her life, but the magical places like Moonlight Falls and Gaia was nothing like anything else. It was like everything was possible in one way or the other - and she loved it. She didn't know she could smile much brighter than she did at this moment. Dylans eyes met with his once more, she didn't mind getting lost in his eyes. It was a feeling of home, and she had missed that. "I didn't, but I will gladly take all the credit," she jested. It wasn't just waffles, there was small sweets and colorful cookies. The decorations were simply amazing. An older woman came over to them so serve them a taste from a silver platter with cupcakes with rainbow frosting. "Look at you two. So wonderful seeing young love in here," she looked at Simon and Dylan with a bright smile. "Would a lovely couple as you like a taste?" She asked with a warm welcoming smile. Dylan looked at Simon and then back at the woman. She was stunned by a second. Lost for words, as she felt her heart began to race. "W..We.. uhm," she tried to come with some words. "We would love to try it," she ended up saying. Dylan looked blissful at Simon before she took the small cupcake. She finally let go of his arm to break it in half, so she could hand it over to him.

"Then all the credit shall be yours," he said in a chivalrous tone as he nodded at her with a warm smile. It really was odd to come back and feel so determined on making her feel like this, it made him feel something more than happy, that he couldnt quite understand. He looked around at all the things that the shop had to offer, each thing being more jaw dropping for every new thing. A lady approached them and her words made Simon widen his eyes a bit as he swallowed hard at the mention of young love. He couldnt however bring himself to move and he didnt know why. The question set the nail, making Simon feeling a bit flustered as he searched for his words, "She's.... I... We're..." he tried before he shook his head and looked to Dylan as she picked the disguise, as they both knew they werent actually a couple. He turned his eyes to the lady and made a smile as he nodded at Dylan's words. He looked to her with a bright smile as she split the cupcake, grabbing his piece carefully, before he placed it up to her mouth, "Ladies first," he said with a happy grin as he looked at her. This wasnt an odd thing to do was it? He could have thought about Tatia, knowing this wasnt as innocent as he wanted it to be, but that was completely shot out of his head. He just felt like a guy with a pretty girl in a shop that looked like something out of a fairy tale, something he hadnt felt in a long while.

He moved the piece to her mouth and she smiled before taking a bite. She nodded in approval of the taste, it was good. Dylan took the last bite, getting some frosting on her nose. "Your turn," she moved her piece closer to his mouth letting him grab a bite. She had tried a few things these past days, she stayed mostly at Peters this week. But she couldn't cut off all her work, so she had to do some if she wanted to stay sane. However it was possible this was her most relaxing week in years, which was nice. Being here with Simon just added to that list. It was nice not to feel like you had to be someone you weren't, and Simon had known her for years. "Are you doing to the circus later?" The woman asked, very chatty. Dylan looked shortly over at the woman. "It wasn't in our plans, but I guess we can take a day to go with the flow," she looked back at Simon. "What do you say, wanna go to the circus with me?" She blinked a little, mostly just in tease. "First waffles.. than the circus.. it sounds like the perfect dat..day, right?"

He watched her eat the cupcake, though he didnt notice how his eyes were more focused on her mouth or her eyes, something that he normally wouldnt do. But it seemed that anything remotely normal had been thrown out of this day for the human, handling it moment for moment ratger than to think of the future. He just felt as if going here made the isolated life in the forest seem worth it. But maybe it was that same isolation that had thrown him out of his usual awareness of ungoing situations, because he was completely blinded by this. When she got some frosting on her nose, he was quick to lift his other hand and gently flick his indexfinger over the soft skin to steal the sugary delight. He placed the finger in his mouth and sighed with satisfaction, “Alright I might have cheated by starting with the frosting, but it’s too good,” he said with an apologetic expression as she returbed the favor of holding her half up to his mouth. He took slow bites, closing his eyes for a bit at the first, to then open them and look at her with a soft chuckle through his chewing. “That’s too good,” he tried to say but his mouth was all filled with delicious crumbled bites of cupcake. He covered his mouth and his cheeks showed how he was smiling shyly under his hand. He finished the cupcake as the old lady asked them a question. “Havent thought of it, mam,” he answered politely, swallowing the last part of the cupcake to then look at Dylan as she spoke to her. She was cute in the way she handled the situation and as she asked him to join her in going to the circus he nodded, “I’d love to,” he said with a rather charming smile, flashing the pearly whites of his. He had completely forgotten about the waffles, so as she mentioned them he quickly turned to the counter and made the order before it would slip his mind again. He turned back to her and grabbed her Sounds like a plan. I’m in,” he said with a big grin, feeling lile his jaw would soon start cramping if he kept smiling so brightly in her presence. It was just hard not to. He let go of one of her hands, but not the other, carefully moving his hand so he could entangle their fingers, feeling a little nervous that she would react negatively, but who could blame him? They had been friends forever, but this was a completely untouched area in their bond.

Watching him take his slow bites of the cupcake - enjoying every single bite was enjoyable. Dylans smile grew bigger and another small laughter escaped her lips. She shook her head a little, just looked at him that same heartwarming look. Dylan let the happiness soak right into her bones, how she wanted it to forever stay. It felt like for the first time in forever her body and mind relaxed, she couldn't remember when she last had felt this relaxed. Or at least beside from this week. Dylan watched him walk up to the counter and order. She caught herself just standing there looking a little to long. He walked back to her and grabbed her hands. "Then its settled," she tilted her head a little to the side. Everything just felt so natural, and she enjoyed every second of it. He let go of one of her hands, only to carefully entangle the other. She felt her heart skip a beat for a split second, and gave him a little shy smile. The simple touch of his hand entangled with hers, made her body tingle shortly. However she didn't mind it at all. Dylan breathed out and placed her head against his shoulder. She chuckled lightly, just enjoying standing here. The waffles didn't take long to be done. "Maybe they heard some shouting after waffles down the streets," she said in a low teasing tone looking up at him. Dylan removed her head and looked over at the counter where another nice lady had placed them. "Sure smells good," she returned her gaze to Simon.

Then its settled, and it was. They were going on a date and Simon felt quite happy about it. He smiled a bit goofily, almost like he was back as a teenager who had just gotten a date with a pretty girl. He should have felt bad, this was in all ways wrong, but at the same time, he wasnt even thinking about it. He was just finally feeling like he was a part of this world again, rejoined society and gotten a date for pete's sake! Their entangled hands were like a mindblocker, making him focus solely on her and this moment that he begged never passed. He leaned his head against hers that were at his shoulder, gasping softly as the waffles arrived rather quickly. Her words made him laugh, "Maybe. They're steamy as well," he added as he watched the waffles with complete marvel as he straightened himself up and grabbed the plate as he looked around and found a table. The lady had placed two forks in the waffles for them to use. He pulled out her chair for her to sit before he sat down in front of her. He grabbed a fork and used it like a knife, cutting off a piece of the waffle that he looked at before he lifted it to her mouth, "Ladies first, again. I wouldnt take the first bite from you," he said with a big smile as he waited for her to eat it. He then cut a piece for himself and placed it in his mouth, knowing that her lips had just touched the fork made his stomach tingle a little with butterflies. The taste was heavenly, he hadnt had waffles in so long and they were even his favorite dessert. He sighed with satisfaction as he chewed the soft bread, savouring the taste like nothing before, "God I wish there was a waffle maker in the forest," he groaned with a low hum to his tone, swallowing the waffle and smiling brightly. "We're definitely going to come here again some other time," he said, completely convinced that they had to.
