He wrote down the details about what she thought about memory loss. Remembering what’s important. Interesting. He glanced at her as she raised her hands to look at them. Did she have a broken nail or something? He wrote down her replies and nodded a little. She did work yes. “Perfect,” he nodded and crossed that of too. While he was writing she rolled around and suddenly put her hand on top of the paper, making him stop writing. He looked up at her. “You’re just going to say yes to everything?” he raised a brow and looked down at the paper again as she removed again, “Even…” his eyes glided over the questions, by his observation all of these were a question she would probably say yes to. “Fine,” he sighed and put the pen onto the paper. “I’ll just fill it out on my way home,” he said and got up from his seat and put it back into the carrying case and closed it shut. “Go on, you got money to spend,” he told her and gestured her towards the door before he turned towards the case and pulled of his jacket. A good night’s sleep was needed if he was going home tomorrow already.

The small smile that had formed on her lips quickly faded as he just started checking off questions and didn’t seem liked he would keep asking her questions. It was like a numbing effect was gliding over her body, even though a pain spread in her chest like wildfire.
“That was quick” she whispered, letting out a small chuckle as she got up from the bed and then walked over and was quick to put on her shoes. It wasn’t even because she had expected something to have happened, but once again she had started hoping that he had been serious about the friend part. He had after all shared his cat with her and everything. Foolish girl. She swallowed and forced on a smile as she blinked away the tears that threatened to spill. “Well glad I could be of service, have a nice trip home” she said and was quick to open the door and close it. She leaned against it and tried to breath, but every breath hurt down into her lungs. He was right, she needed a friend - or she needed comfort, and right now there was only one person in the world that had never let her down, when it came to being there when she asked. With shaking hands, she found her phone and found his number and called him as she walked towards the car.

“Well you said yes to everything,” Jasper responded and put his jacket away. He looked over his shoulder when she told him to have a nice trip home. He noticed the small, small change of her voice and the way she used her words, which made him sigh.

As lonely as you look, I don’t think you’re fully booked up on friends.

Since the room was so small, he only really had to turn to open the door, and there she had been standing, leaning against the door, which resulted in him quickly trying to catch her so she wouldn’t fall. “Norah, you-” his words stopped from the surprise.

On the other side of the phone Bentley was smoothing another gal, and when he heard the phone, he gently pushed the woman a little down, which made the woman actually go down on him. “Hey?” he said quite breathlessly. He frowned a little when he heard people thumbling around and once again looked at the name. “Norah?”

She made a yelp as the door opened and because she hadn’t believed he would actually do it; she fell back just as she had been about to move away. “Oh my god!” she made a sound as she dropped the phone and looked up at Jasper that had opened the door. “What in -“ she looked down and saw how her jacket had twisted and didn’t leave much for the imagination. “So that’s your play huh? Turn a woman away and then just knock her off her feet like that?” - “there are easier way to get a woman out of her clothes - damn it Jasper” she hissed a little while she laughed and tried to pack away the lady parts she hadn’t really been expecting to show, well, at least not to him.

Now, the ways that things happened made it very difficult for Jasper not to see everything. His eyes however darted to the right set of eyes as she started to speak. “No I-” He tried to pull his hands away from her, but things were just so out of hand in general that nothing really went as planned. “I wasn’t trying to-” He tried to sit up so she could sit up too with a little trouble he got to his feet and handed her his hand to help her up.

Bentley tried to listen to what was going on, but eventually had to lean his head back with a groan that could be heard through the phone. “Oh, Norah…” he almost moaned. The girl was about to stop, when he then gave her furrowed brows which simply made her continue. “Do you want me over?” he wondered, still with slightly furrowed brows since he heard how they fumbled around and how she was almost complaining. Now, he didn’t like that Norah could be in problems if he wasn’t there to make sure it wasn’t getting out of hand.

“I know, I know” she tried to ease his discomfort that he was clearly feeling. She took his hand and got up on her knees. Looking for his phone as she could hear Bentley on the other side of it, she couldn’t help to roll her eyes a little. “One moment” she said looking up towards Jasper winking as she pressed her phone towards her ear. “Bentley darling, I hear you’re having fun - I didn’t want to interrupt you, just to see if you had time for me” she hummed, as her eyes darted towards the floors that her knees were pressed towards. Remembering that Jasper had told her that someone might have died in here, and suddenly she was rather fast in getting up again. She turned towards Jasper “weren’t you about to pack so you could get back tomorrow?” she asked him and lifted a brow, not taking away the phone, so Bentley now could hear her voice perfectly.  

Jasper furrowed his brows a little as Norah tried to find her moaning phone. He raised his brows a little as Norah suddenly winked at him. What was going on?
As soon as Norah replied and almost seemed rejecting, he sat up pushing the poor girl away. “Hey, no,” he said with a completely normal voice and got onto his feet, “I can be there in a second,” he explained.
Japser helped her up the last bit, since it seemed like she would really want to get up from the floor. He furrowed his brows a little as she kept two conversations going at once. “I can do that tomorrow. I haven’t bought the ticket yet,” Jasper explained, slightly confused whether or not she wanted him to seem rejecting or inviting. Did she need to get rid of the one she had just called, because she might just want ordinary company?
“Did he throw you out?” Bentley almost whispered with a slightly sorrowful voice, already getting dressed. He was always ready to be there for Norah.

She looked at Jasper, and for a moment she wasn’t even sure what to think about it. Her brows slowly pressing together, but there was something about the fact that she could hear that Bentley was ready to just drop everything to get to her. That was all she needed “Give me a moment Bentley, please hang on” she whispered, and then looked at Jasper giving him a smile, this time a real one, riddled with sorrow. She had put the phone momentarily on silent so Bentley wouldn’t be able to hear anything. She took Jasper’s hand and gave it a small squeeze. “I’m really not worth it, go back, tell O’Connell that he can suck it, and get out of Interpol before they take away your will to live - thank you for tonight, it was - enlightening” she said leaning in and placed a soft kiss against his cheek. “Take care Jasper” then she took the phone after having pressed unmute “Somewhat” she breathed out as she got into the cold “I just - I just need you” she whispered feeling extremely vulnerable tonight, and Bentley had seen her at her absolute worst when she had lost her daughter. In a way, the only thing that had ever stopped her had been the fact that her father would never accept it. But did she even care right now? It wasn’t like she would ever find someone that would be there for her through it all, so now she just needed the person that always managed to make her feel better - even if it was only for a night.

Bentley kept his mouth shut while he with quick movements got the girl going. Jasper was still slightly confused about what as going on. She took his hand and squeezed it. For a man who hadn’t engaged in anything physical with her, he was a little surprised. “You got my word,” he said with a light smile, though he didn’t agree whether if she was worth it or not. She was worth a lot of things. She once again gave him a kiss on his cheek. “Take care – and don’t go to the casino,” he told her with a small smile and let her leave as she pleased. He stayed in the door to keep an eye on her and wouldn’t let his sight leave her until he knew that she wasn’t just going into the car to be alone.
Bentley had the phone between his ear and his shoulder while he put on his pants. He hummed a little as she replied. “Alright. Where are you?” he spoke in a soft voice that most people didn’t hear from him.

She looked over her shoulder and gave him a small smile as a promise, because right now she was doing the best thing possible. She found comfort in a friend, just as he had told her too. She just hadn’t made him her friend for the night, because, well, he hadn’t been interested.
“The motel not far out from Aston, I’m by my car, I can send you my coordinates?” she said, feeling how a small giddy smile formed on her lips as she heard that voice of his, how it always managed to make her weak in her knees, and now that she was done with trying to find ways to die or take matters into her own hands, and she was free from her mate mark, or at least until a new name would appear, then there was nothing really holding her back. Her eyes darted towards the room where Jasper still stood clearly waiting to see if she was getting company or not, then she pulled the phone off her ear and sent her address to Bentley’s number.

“That’ll be perfect,” Bentley replied and found a small map over Aston in his room. As soon as he received the coordinates he teleported to the place and only had to walk a few steps until he reached her. “Hey,” he spoke softly and got up next to her and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and took the hand that was occupied with her phone. He shortly glanced towards the door that made light spread out on the parking lot. Now, even though Bentley were the type of man who kept himself out of trouble as much as possible there was something in him that wanted Jasper to taste the asphalt. With a clenched jaw, he looked back at Norah, “Where do you wanna go?” he spoke softly to her and let the hand that had stroked her hair run down her back.

Then he stood there, and right there and then she forgot everything about the demon that had been following her around this evening. Her eyes glided with his movement as he got towards her. Taking the hand with the phone and her eyes closed as soon as his fingers pushed some of her hair behind her ear. “Hi” she whispered feeling how goosebumps formed over her skin just by that simple touch of his.
A small smile formed over her lips as he asked where she wanted to go. “I know just the place” she said and opened her eyes again, locking them with his. Now she had access to two types of teleports. One. Her magic, where she usually needed blood or some type of DNA from the person she wanted to visit. Two. Her manipulation of darkness, where she could go somewhere she wanted to if she had been there before. Her hand found his cheek and she gently pushed her thumb over his cheek bone. “I’ve missed you so much, it’s been far too long” she said, knowing that he would figure out soon enough just how broken she had become while being away. But right now, it didn’t matter.
She let her powers form around them and with the powers from the darkness she teleported them to a small cabin they had been to before. Snowed in and all alone. Where they could pretend that they were just two normal people that had met each other and didn’t need to answer to anyone. It seemed like itself. Snow was slowly falling outside the window and with a little magic the fireplace lit up and illuminated the two of them.

He smiled a little as she replied that she knew just the place. He let her hand trace over his cheek. “Way too long,” he agreed and leaned a little down towards her, but before he could do much, she let the darkness consume them and teleported them away. Jasper, slightly infuriated by Norah’s choices chose to shut the door as they disappeared and went to bed.

As the fireplace lit up, Bentley shortly glanced away, to know where they were, before he leaned down to give her a gentle kiss. “What has kept you busy?” he wondered and let his hands grab onto her  hips underneath the jacket. He pulled her a bit closer while his hands glid up to her waist, just where her pant’s started.

Her eyes closed the moment their lips met. It lit something in the darkness that had consumed her mind and heart. Maybe people didn’t like her choice of person she was hanging around, but no one had yet to make her feel just as much as Bentley was when he was with her. Even if she could only have him for a short while at a time, it was well worth it. A small sigh left her, followed by a moan as his hands wondered over her naked skin underneath the jacket that was only somewhat keeping her modesty.
“Work, kidnapping, normal life when your name is Hanna Jones” she hummed against his lips, moving her hands into his hair and pulled him closer to her. She couldn’t even begin to explain how much she had missed his closeness. “What about you? Found anything interesting to put your attention on of late?” she asked, even though it might not sound like she was interested, given the situation that they were standing in, she was.

Even though it was awful things she revealed, he didn’t hesitate to continue. They could always take a break to talk properly. A sigh left him as he felt her hands get into his hair. He gave her a short kiss, “Traveling. Exploring magical caves. Trying to keep my siblings from messing too much up,” he explained, “The usual,” With soft hands, his hands found the button that kept her jacket closed and unbuttoned it so his hands had better access to her torso. “You…” he kissed her cheek gently, “I’m sorry about Nefertiti,” he whispered and instead of groping her like some hungry bastard, he let his hands wrap around her, but only so he could pick her up and carry her to the bed in the cabin close to the fireplace, he sat down with her on top of his lap and looked up at her. His eyes shifted from which of her eyes he looked at. He couldn’t even imagine not having his own familiar even though they weren’t glued together. “I can talk to Antionette,” he offered, even though it hadn’t been that long since he had met up with her and told her that she should stop going against their mother.

There was a moment of hesitation from her as he unbuttoned the jacket, because then he would see how her powers had gotten out of hand and how the mate mark had almost cursed her from her breast, over her shoulder and down the upperpart of left arm.
She pulled her head a little back and looked at him as he told her that he was sorry about Nefertiti. Blinking a little she felt how her bottom lip was quivering from her trying not to cry at this very moment. Something she was sure she had never done in front of him. Her knees touched the mattress as he sat down. Her eyes looked into his, sucked into the green forest of calm. “Thank you” she whispered licking her lips as she let her eyes glide down the scar where there should be a name standing. “I, I found my mate - it wasn’t, really a dance on roses, he rejected me at first but well - he is a vampire and remembered the part of a witch's blood when you have bonded with them -” she folded her lips together and used a moment to think, wonder if he even wanted to hear it. “I rejected him after we had bonded, nearly killed me -“ she let out a small huff, almost a chuckle because she knew what he would say to the next words that left her. “I really hoped that it would -- they killed Nefertiti in front of me while they kept me captive” she sat a little further back on his legs. “I miss her so much” she let her fingers glide over his cheek down to his shoulder following the path of her fingers as she did.

He noticed how her lip quivered. He understood her very well, though he had never been in the same situation. He wanted to tell her, that he didn’t have to thank him, but he felt like it wasn’t necessary at this very moment, after all, he didn’t know how much of a burden it would be to talk to his sister about a potion like that. As she mentioned she had found her mate his eyes slowly traveled to her collarbone, noticing how something was off while she spoke of it. The green eyes traveled to hers as she explained how complicated it had been. He clenched his jaw to it. He already didn’t like how things were playing out. His brows raised a little as she explained how she had rejected him. His head tilted a little as he noticed how she felt about how it had almost killed her. He knew very well what she was thinking about the situation. Even though she expressed that she missed her familiar, he couldn't just tell her that it was going to be alright, or that they would fix it, because none of them truly knew if it was ever going to get alright after something like that. A familiar was after all merged with the soul, and therefore Norah had taken plenty of damage, and it certainly wouldn't be an easy fix. “Who did it?” he whispered, letting one hand stay on her thigh and another stay on her hip, slowly looking up at her. Now, it wasn’t because he directly said it, but one would know that he wasn’t taking the situation lightly. Even though he wasn’t really the one to take others fights, it was something else when it was Norah. After all, they sought comfort in each other, and though he liked that, he didn’t want her to need the comfort. He didn’t want her to get hurt, and if there were someone out there who had hurt her so bad it truly brought something up. He cared for her and wished for her to be happy – even though it would mean that she wouldn’t call him up.

She noticed how warmth spread from where his hands were placed against her body. Not that he did anything but just having them there, it grounded her and she could blink away the tears that had tried to escape without her feeling like she had to press it down and deny that she needed to cry. She turned her hand and let her knuckles glide over his soft skin, turning it again her thumb glided over his brow and recorrected one hair that had gotten out of place. Just like herself, he took pride in how he looked. Norah had always thought that if she couldn’t have things together, she could at least look stylish while she was falling apart. It wasn’t something she had ever really put a lot of thought into. But she liked making sure that she was well presented.
“Bratva, the leader that I put in prison got out and figured that I was an undercover agent that had infiltrated his operation - when they kidnapped me, Interpol left me for dead” she explained with a much calmer voice, she leaned in and placed her forehead against his, her eyes looking into his beautiful green eyes. “You’re the only one that manages to take away the pain” she whispered against his lips, before she very gently pressed hers against his. What a cruel fate to fall in love with someone, and that you had been in love with for over four hundred years. But you never did anything about it because you didn’t want to retrain him or make him something that he wasn’t. Not pursuing it because she had no idea how her or his family would take it.

There was something about the way she carefully let her hand caress him, that put a lid on all of the emotions that he was feeling, even though the necklace he was wearing did a great job itself. It kept down emotions that wanted to go wherever he believed the person who killed  her familiar was. Emotions that he was feeling from the discussions with his siblings, and much, much more. There was also the anxiety that she would simply leave him in the hut. The anxiety was truly kept down.
He clenched his jaw as she replied. The leader of Bratva. Interpol left her for dead. Well, the list of people who Bentley wanted to pay a visit suddenly got very, very long.
She put her forehead against his and for a moment he was about to close his eyes and relax but noticed how she seemed to want to look into his eyes. Even though many would pick up the colors of a person’s eyes when they were this close, he was picking up all of the pain and sorrow she felt. He noticed how the look in her eyes had changed. They almost reminded him of how her eyes had looked when he had first met years ago. When she leaned the rest of the way in, he closed his eyes and kissed her back. Passion was overflowing and he leaned more into it and pulled her even closer. “I’m not,” he whispered back to her, not that he didn’t believe that he could take away the pain, but he was certain that there were others who could take it away. He let one of his hands find her jaw, and let his fingers slowly find their way into her hair not wanting her to pull away.

A soft chuckle left her as he told her that he wasn’t the only one. The chuckle turned into a moan as she felt how he woke all her feelings in the best way possible. How she craved every inch of him, his lips, his hands, his body. His heart.
Even though he had used his hand to make sure she didn’t pull away, she arched her back so she could take off her jacket without breaking the kiss. Her own hands started working on his clothes, wanting to feel is skin more than she already was. Breaking off the kiss as she pulled his shirt off him, for a moment she paused. Not because she was having second thoughts, but because she wanted to take in his beauty. How the fire’s light reflected off his golden skin. For a moment he looked like a godly creature and a small smile formed over her lips before she leaned in and kissed him gently. Carefully. Exploring. So many emotions in few featherlight kisses that never became to violently or completely consumed with passion. But even though it wasn’t, it was just that that made it feel much warmer in the small hut they were in. As if them being this gently, only intensified how much she wanted him.

She arched her back towards him, which showed Bentley that she liked what he did, not that he was ever in doubt of that. Norah took of her jacket and soon after she took of his shirt. He noticed how she stopped to look at him, which made a smug smile spread on his lips while he took her in. Her pale porcelain like skin got a golden shine that he rarely saw – taken in context that they only really saw each other for comfort.
She leaned in and kissed him gently. For Bentley, he noticed how she had picked a different pace than he first has thought, and therefore quickly had to adapt and choose the slower and much more intimate way of being around her. His breath slowed down while they kissed and he let his fingers travel over her skin, almost without touching her. Something which would give most people a teasing feeling. “This feels so good,” he whispered to her between the gentle kisses and let one hand seek towards her chest, and let his fingers gently circle around her breast, carefully fondling her chest.

It was like her skin was made for his hands. Maybe it was the fact that they knew each other so well. She might be young compared to him. And it wasn’t every year they had seen each other, but even then. Almost five hundred years of partnership in one way or another, was a long time to figure out the persons likes or dislikes. Had she hated that he had brought that bitch Artemis into his bed as well? Yes. Very much. But if there was something that had never bothered her, was the fact that he had others, no matter what he would always come to her when she called, and that was all that mattered.
But even if this was just one in a million times, they had been together. It still felt so different. It was almost like a tender dance between them. She moaned into his mouth as he told that it felt good. As his hand found her breast and started giving it his attention. It was so different from when Leigh had taken her. Even if there had been the mate mark between them, it brough her no were as close to heaven as Bentley manged to take her right now. “Sometimes I wish we would never have to return to our realities” she whispered back, before slowly getting off him. Her fingers grabbing the edge of her pants before starting to take them off. Leaning down and took one shoe off at a time. Everything that she did was in a pace that gave him time to enjoy her body until she was standing completely naked in front of him. Waiting for him to make the next move.
