She pulled away and he looked at her shortly feeling a little regret. He should’ve robbed a bank. It wouldn’t have made him feel guilty or stupid like he did right now. But she pushed every bad thought away as she leaned back in and kissed him. He didn’t hesitate to reciprocate the longing kisses. There was simply something about her that he wanted all of. All of her heart. His free hand unlocked his seatbelt and moved closer to her. Pleasured and loving small sounds left him between their kisses. It didn’t take long before one hand found her outer thigh and the other her back and pulled her closer to him. 

She completely lost herself in his hands. In his lips and the kisses that they gave to her. How his body felt against his, after he had unbuckled himself. Her arms snaked around his neck as his hand found her thigh so they both could pull the other closer to them. It was so quiet around them. Nothing but them were moving against the frozen time. For a moment there was nobody but them in the world. And maybe that was one of the reasons why it felt so incredible. Maybe that was what people talked about, that moment where you just knew that this was a person that would be yours. Maybe not now, maybe there would pass time before it could finally be them. But somewhere she knew that one day it would happen.
Delphine pulled away, putting her forehead against his, letting out small shallow breaths with a small smile on her lips. “I have to start time again” she whispered, he distracted her too much for her to be able to keep it going. And just as she had made it stop it started again. The driver humming along on the melody coming from the radio. The slight pull in the stomach as the car started moving again. Rain hammering down on the window. Every sound so extreme that it was hard not to notice them. But she still didn’t move away from Cyrus, as she pulled him back into another kiss.

She pulled her lips away from him, which made him fold his lips shortly. She had to start time again. He didn’t reply to it, but simply let her do so. When time started again, he could feel how he was being pulled in another way than just a moment ago. Every sound around them was overwhelming, and he truly just wanted everything to quite down. He just wanted to get lost with her in his arms. She pulled him back in for a kiss, which he didn’t hesitate to reciprocate. He sought how things quited down as when the time had been stopped. Now, it wasn’t completely the same, but it surely still felt intense. Questions, innocent questions developed in his mind. It was questions that simply just wished to get her to know better. She had already guessed a lot about him, but he wished to know more about her. He didn’t know people as easily as she did. Somehow, the thought of actually asking her all of these innocent questions scared him. Being so close was scary, because he had never had anything for himself, this close. So when was it going to be taken away from him?

She had no idea how long they sat like that. Breaking away to get some air, before their lips found each other again. A dance between two people trying to explore each other without saying any questions. Then the car stopped, and the driver cleared his throat. Delphine pulled away with a slight sigh. She found her wallet and handed the driver a couple of money bills. “Keep the rest” she mumbled, the driver widening his eyes as she got out of the car and pulled out her keys. Looking over her shoulder she gave Cyrus an almost innocent smile, as she reached out her hand and pulled him along. The building was tall, six stories high. Clearly high end, but to be fair they were in those parts of Aston were only the rich lived. She pressed the button for them to travel up the elevator. “I live on the fifth floor” she hummed leaning against the wall of the elevator, after having let go of his hand. Her eyes resting at his face. He really was handsome. As that thought ran through her mind, she let out a soft sigh closing her eyes as her fingers glided through her blond hair.

Time flew away and suddenly the cabdriver cleared his throat, making him retreat shortly. He watched how she handed bills out, and just like the cabdriver, his eyes widened, but he quickly followed her movements as she got out and walked with her out of the cab. Everything here was so fine. Nothing like what could be found on southside. Trailer parks, abandoned houses, churches and hotels. Apartment buildings filled with syringes from drug addicts and pee on the floor. This was surely something out of his league according to money.

They reached the elevator, and she pressed the button before she leaned back against the wall. His eyes followed her every move, almost hypnotized by them. He moved a little closer to her, “Tell me something about yourself,” he said, grabbing onto the bar in the elevator, leaning a little closer to her.

She moved her shoulders a little, as her own hands grabbed the bar that was behind her back. Her brow raised a little, when he asked her to tell him a little about herself. Now, that was always a broad topic. There were a lot of things she could tell; she had lived over four thousand years. So, to say it was a broad topic, to tell him who Delphine was. Her tongue glided over her lips giving him a small smile. Feeling how her breath caught in her throat for a moment. “Well,” she started blinking her eyes a couple of time, feeling the need to take a breath in and let it go, almost as if she needed time to think about what to tell him. “My birth name is Esperanza” she told him feeling how her lips curled into a sweet and almost innocent smile. “I play the piano professionally and still do concerts, and my favourite sister works for one of the biggest casino owners, where my tolerance for alcohol comes from, as I’ve worked for him as well” the elevator made a ding, telling them that they had reached the fifth floor. The doors open, but her eyes were on Cyrus, waiting on him to move so she could get out.

Her smile was hypnotic and the way she only spoke one word made him raise his brows shortly. What interesting things did she have to share? Birth name. Interesting. He it sounded quite special, but he was almost certain that he wouldn’t use it anyway. He liked Delphine better. Besides, he didn’t want to use his first name, well mostly because he believed that Icarus was a fucking idiotic name to give a child, but who cared. She continued and explained what she did right now and how she had worked at a casino, where her alcohol tolerance came from.
The elevator dinged and just like her, his eyes were glued to hers. Somehow, he was tempted to smash all the elevators buttons and spend more time with her in the elevator, but he also knew, that there was no reason for that now that she had her own apartment. He slowly leaned away, letting go of the bars and took her hand instead so they could walk together out of the giant elevator.

She could easily just have stopped time again, let them stand a moment longer in the elevator. As he just like her, seemed to be rooted to the place. Locked in the gaze between their eyes. But then he broke the magic spell that had been cast on them, slowly glided back and took her hand to step out of the elevator. Giving him a soft smile, she pulled him along to her apartment door. As she had already found her keys, she opened the door and as she walked in, she turned on the dim lights. Making an atmospheric orange light form around the apartment, giving it almost a sun set glow. The first thing that many noticed, that wasn’t that common in apartments was the sound of water falling and running. Almost as if she had let the faucet stand open while she had been away. There was a small entrée way, before you walked into a giant open area. Everything was open, only the toilet was hidden away by a door. But the bath if looking to the right was separated by a matted glass wall and water running down the sides. To the wall there was a bed connected hanging from metal bars almost like a lifted loft, where you could walk up black metal stairs. Her kitchen was very modern with black and concrete appliances then there was the living room where a hanging fireplace was, a black slick couch and her giant piano that was almost like a center piece. It was rather modern and clearly expensive. Minimalistic even. “Would you like a drink?” she asked with a soft voice, turning towards him with a soft smile after she had closed the door behind them, and put her keys and purse away.

Cyrus followed her towards her apartment door, and while she found her keys, he let his eyes travel over her, even though it seemed like it was only a split second. He was almost  convinced that if he had been a witch, he had experienced the mate bond now. He was so drawn to her, and constantly wished to be close, touch her and make sure she felt alright. They got inside and she adjust the lights, giving everything a lovingly orange, and comforting sunset color. Having lived on the Southside, he was simply impressed by the lights synchronicity and how they were able to set the mood. He was just used to turn the lights on and off, and nothing more. Even having a button to do it was almost a treasure, because some trailers didn’t even have that possibility. Then he picked up a sound he never had expected to hear inside an apartment unless it was a very special bathroom. Water, running and falling. The sound of it was greater than to be compared with a running faucet. The whole apartment felt like one big reality show to him. He had never experienced anything like this. “Uh-” He shook his head as if he had been dreaming. He had been a little taken aback by the expensive look, “Yeah, would love some,” he replied but let a hand get a hold of hers once again. “But-” he said, stopping her from walking away and pulled her in close. “I would like his more,” he said and leaned down to kiss her passionately.

She couldn’t really help but let out a soft chuckle, as he clearly was a little taken aback of how she lived. Which probably meant that he didn’t live in the same luxurious settings as she did, not that many did. At least something good happened about being as old as she was, a lot of time to accumulate money that you didn’t really need anymore. Besides, many of the things that she owned had been something she had been given. Presents of sorts.
Before she could walk into the kitchen, she felt how his hand found hers and stopped her from walking to get them something to drink. She turned around, and another giggle left her as he pulled her in closer. Her other hand found his shoulder. “This?” she asked, with a sneaky grin on her lips, but it disappeared as soon as she felt his lips against hers again. A sigh of pleasure left her nose, as her arms found their way around the back of his neck and pulled herself up on her toes. “Shit, you taste so good” she mumbled between kisses, feeling how he was igniting the fire inside of her. Her blouse that kept gliding up and down her exposed stomach.

Something about her simply did that he constantly had a smile on his lips. He couldn’t be unhappy around her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he could feel how she got up on her toes, which only made both of his arms find their way around her to support her and eventually lean further down so she could stand properly. A pleasured sigh left him as she told him that he tasted good, “Jesus, don’t say that,” he chuckled and continued to kiss her. He could get used to her compliments, pickup lines, and flirtations. He wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol in the system, the time of the day, or simply her love that was making him feel this high, but he wanted more of it. “I want to taste more of you,” he said. He realized his hands had been underneath her shirt all along which made his hands travel up her ribcage to figure whether or not she was wearing anything underneath.

She couldn’t help but laugh joyfully as he told her that she shouldn’t tell him that. “Why not?” she said with a soft voice, moving her hands down his neck, one found his cheek, and her eyes looked over his face. Then he kissed her again, and her eyes had to shut because she needed to get the full experience of feeling him this close. How his hands travelled under her blouse, and she could feel his rough and warm hands pressed against her very delicate skin. “Good thing I didn’t plan on kicking you out at any moment, or at all” she answered against his lips, a sigh left her as her eyes closed once more. Feeling how his thumbs ended up gliding against the contour of her breast as she wasn’t wearing a bra. She had always found them ridicules and they hurt. Which was why she rarely wore them. Unless it was a sports bra. “Cyrus” she hummed, kissing him softly, waiting for him to acknowledge that he had heard her say his name. “You make me feel so good” she whispered softly, leaning in to kiss his neck letting her tongue glide over his skin. Tasting the salt and him.

Why shouldn’t she tell him that he tasted good? Honestly, it was sorely because he was a drunk man in his twenties who felt like the head between his legs were starting to speak more and more to him. He hummed a little back to her, “It’s usually saved for other occasions,” she told her, but wouldn’t stop kissing her. Once again he hummed against her lips as she mentioned how she hadn’t been planning on kicking him out. “I’m glad,” he mused and shortly after felt the contour of her breast. She was like photoshoped if his hands were telling him the truth. His thumbs slowly glided along the volume of her chest, but just before he reached her nibbles, she spoke his name and he paused. “Yes,” he hummed softly with raised brows. A confident smile spread on his lips as she said that he made her feel good. He wanted to tell her that he could make her feel even better, but he kept the cocky friend away for a moment. He was about to tell her she also made him feel good when he felt her tongue on his neck. His thumbs traveled the last bit in a pleasured sigh. It was almost like someone took the keys and started their own show. “We can feel so much better,” he said and squeezed each chest a little “If you want to?” he dared to ask.

Her hot breath cascaded over his neck, when his hands found her breast. Or, when the hand dared to go all the way. The teasing and how slow he was, made it so much more pleasurable. He wasn’t in a hurry, she liked that. Very much. Swallowing, she pressed her forehead against his neck, when he told her that they could make each other feel so much better but ended up asking if she wanted to. Did she? Yes, very much so. But did she have her reservations, that she also had.  She stepped away, a small smile on her lips, as she swayed a little back and forth. “We can?” she asked a little cheeky, underplaying that she hadn’t understood what he had meant. She understood him very well, which was also why she had told him that she would rather wait to take him with her home. Because she was afraid that it might just be one night for him, and then she would never see him again. Which would be a shame. “What would you like to do, that would make us feel better?” she asked, walking a few more steps back,  until she reached the kitchen island, and placed her hands around the counters edge.

Cyrus let his eyes follow her as she stepped away, and for a moment he thought he had crossed a line. A short chuckle left him as she asked if they could. Something about it made her seem innocent, even though he was quite certain that wouldn’t entirely be the case. As she started to walk away, he followed her slowly. “Well,” he started, watching how she leaned against the kitchen island. He placed a hand on each side of the edge, framing her. He wanted to reply to her question but was simply stunned as he looked into  her eyes. “Jesus,” he sighed and let his head fall down between them. He looked back up after a little moment, “Well, I did promise you that it’ll be more than one night, so I think a start would be…” he looked around for a moment trying to determine just about what good and comfortable things they could do. “Do you have any blankets?” he wondered. Even though he really wanted to be close to her, he knew there were other ways to get the satisfied feeling. Therefore, he was thinking about bringing her to her television and snuggle up on the couch, and then they could take it from there. Fall asleep or raise the bar.

He once again surprised her. In the best way possible.
Not only had he been rather respectful all the way through, but he also had the self-control to hold back. She knew plenty of men that would just take, especially after you have given a little. They felt like they then deserved the whole thing. She took in a deep inhale, as she heard how he stumbled over his words for a moment. It only brought a smile on her lips, looking up as he told her that he had promised her that this would be more than just a one-night thing. Then he asked if she had any blankets, her eyes widened for a moment, and then she chuckled. “Yeah, I have some” she placed her hand against his chest, and then moved under his arms to walk towards the sofa. Lifting up the chaise longue side of the sofa and pulled out two very comfortable blankets. “Well, I’m going to slip into something more comfortable then” she said with a smile, turning towards him. Before she walked over to the wall between two of the very big windows that was going from floor to ceiling. The turned one of the buttons and the windows seemed to get a black filter over them, shutting out all of the light from the outside. Then she pressed another one and a tv was brought down from the ceiling and turned on. “The remotes are on the coffee table, you can find something you’ll like to see” she said with a smile, before she moved towards the bathroom where her walk-in closet was.

Cyrus smiled, and a soft hum left him as she agreed that she did have some blankets. The simple touch on his chest and how her body moved, made him move a little away so she could easily move past him to wherever she wanted to be. She went to the sofa and grabbed a blanket for each of them. Two might be a little excessive but if she wanted him to keep his hands a little away from her it was probably for the best. “Yeah, of course, take all the time you need,” he replied and started to arrange the blanket a little looking towards her as she clicked on something that made the windows darken. That must be so nice whenever you got home at this hour and wanted to sleep in. He had this feeling that he would be falling asleep at one point. His eyes widened a little as she pressed a button and suddenly the TV was sliding down from the ceiling. She announced where the remotes were and within a moment, he picked up one of the remotes before he started to go through what was available. Now, Cyrus didn’t really have the money to go to the movies or the money to buy any, but if he had watched anything it was on dates or with his mother, and in his opinion the movies always sucked, but maybe it was just him? Now, she had left him, and he didn’t know how well she would be able to hear him, but he chose to say it anyways. “I think I’ve been on multiple channels but you’re not on any of them,” he called to her, turning to see if she liked the compliment.

At least she wasn’t wearing some fancy gown that would have taken forever to get out off. So it was rather quickly to get out of her cropped sweater and jeans. And into something a little more comfortable. A tight fitted hoodie, and a pair of slags that because of her figure didn’t make her look like a sack of potatoes. Not that she really cared, she liked looking good when she was in public, but at home she went for the more casual look. Well, besides that it was still designer what she was wearing.
Delphine was just about to walk out her walk-in closet when he called to her. She couldn’t help but laugh. “Oh no! What a travesty!” she joked back, walking into the room where he was standing with a bright smile forming over her lips. “And what shall we do about that? Want me to just stand in front of the tv and pose a couple of times?” she asked cheekily turning around and making a small pose in front of him. “So how many points?” she asked, making a small curtesy when she came closer. The smile never really disappearing when she looked at him.

“It’s the end of my world,” he said dramatically, still looking at the television waiting for her to come back. As soon as he could sense that she entered the room again he looked towards her with a wide smile developing on his lips. He loved how comfortable she looked, and it surely made him want to be comfortable with her in any way possible. “See, I wouldn’t mind that,” he almost mused appreciating when she posed. He took his hands up, forming a camera and making a few clicking sounds, imitating a paparazi. He stretched his arms out for her as she approached, “Ten out of ten, would not recommend,” he said and pulled her in. “I would rather keep you for myself than recommend,” he mused and let his hands find the pockets of her slags.

There was just something about him, the air around him made everything seem so, natural. Or not, him. Them. How they were around each other, how easily he could make her laugh and just be herself. She couldn’t remember if she had ever looked like this in front of anyone but her sisters. But she hadn’t even thought about what kind of clothes she wanted to wear, when she had undressed herself and slipped into something more comfortable. She had just pulled out what she would normally wear alone.
“What, not recommend!?” she huffed faking a sad huff as she let herself get pulled into his embrace. Then he turned it around, and for a moment she was stunned. Looking at him with big eyes, mostly because it took her by surprise how smooth that came out. How genuine it sounded. “Well, aren’t you a charmer” she whispered, feeling how her heart jumped up in her throat as her eyes locked with his. For a moment, it was like the entire room disappeared. There was nothing but him and his gorgeous eyes looking into hers.

He couldn’t help but keep smiling as she faked sadness. Everything with her just seemed so easy and, almost like a game. Normally he was looking for someone he could play around with, but with Delphine it all just seemed different. Though it felt easy, he didn’t want to categorize what they were doing as games, because even though everything was so cheesy and corny, he just knew that there was something more serious about it. After all, she didn’t just want it to be one night. He chuckled a little by her whisper about how he was a charmer. He felt how time almost stopped and how tension was being  build between them. He made the decision to lean down and gave her a gentle kiss, “You know,” he gave her another gentle kiss, “I had truly hoped,” her gave her a longer and more intimate kiss, “That I would be,” he bit her lip very gently, mostly testing the waters, “more,” he whispered almost breathlessly against her lips as he kissed her once more, “But it might just jinx everything,” he gave her cheek a gentle kiss, “If I already wish for you,” his lips traveled closer to her ear, “to call me a keeper.”

It wasn’t often that you felt that pull between two people. Like two magnets so drown to each other, that there was nothing that could stop them from meeting.
Which happened as soon as their lips finally touched again. It was like an explosion of feelings, it almost made her stomach drop, and small bursts of energy from her feet up her legs, down her shoulders to her fingers. It was almost painful, but in a way that she wished would never stop. It was almost agonising whenever he stopped to speak something. All these small gentle kisses almost made her beg for more. And as his teeth closed around her bottom lip, a small whimper left her. Almost surprising herself that it was still possible for her to utter such sounds.
Her eyes were closed, and her lips slightly parted as he whispered against her ear. For a moment her mouth was so dry, and she wasn’t sure that it was even possible for her to let words be uttered from her tongue. But she managed, somehow, she did. “It’s like you already know me so well” she said with a low voice, followed with a chuckle. “My most common nickname is Jinx, so if anything, I do dare to call you a keeper” she mumbled, turning her head, so their lips were only inches from each other. Her eyes opened to look at him. “Because you are, you know that right? If I, a woman that has known you for only a couple of hours can see it, then – you are a keeper Cyrus” she decided to say instead of multiple of other options that she had. Then she softly placed her lips against his.

He was already smiling, but when she told her nickname it pulled a little more in the corner of his lips. She was called Jinx. He would remember that, though for some reason, he couldn’t help but wonder why, but that was for another occasion.
Cyrus was a smooth person who was used to the meanest treatments, so when she mentioned for the first time that she dared to call him a keeper, his heart skipped a beat. His lips had been parted to continue to kiss her cheek, ear and eventually down her neck, but her words had completely taken him aback. He was almost frozen by it. When he sensed that she turned her head, he slowly looked towards her, opening his eyes just a little, until he realized that she had opened her eyes too.


She kissed his lips softly and it was almost as if he was allowed to breathe again. His eyes closed and he leaned more into the kiss, enjoying the closeness of her for a moment, before he pulled his lips away from her, “Please, don’t say that,” he whispered almost beggingly, not leaning in for another kiss before she responded. He was truly afraid that the chemistry they had would be ruined if they promised anything too early. After all, they had only known each other for a couple of hours. Even though she believed he was a keeper, he wanted her to want to keep him. He didn’t wish to be tossed out. That was what he was used to, and the reason why he usually never went too deep with his emotions when he was talking with people. But Delphine had caught him on an emotional leg and dragged him into the deep end. Was it too early to say that he had feelings for her? Probably, but the poor boy had never experienced anything that was real or chemistry that felt so natural like this one. She made him emotional, and it scared him, because he wanted more. If she was going to complain, he would interrupt, and tell her please, hoping that she wouldn’t push it.

She wanted to argue against that he needed to hear it. But there was something in his voice that was urgent enough for her to understand that there was something more, than just him not wanting to hear it. But because there was something connected to the fact of being validated, that he was not ready to hear from another person.
Instead, she nodded slowly, closing her eyes as he finally leaned in to kiss her again. Letting the moment speak for itself, instead of pushing her feelings down over him. That wasn’t what she was about, and if he didn’t want to hear she respected that. Hopefully he would be ready for it one day, and if not with her, with someone else. Even that last thought took her heart and wrenched it around a little. Surprisingly so.
“So, is that a no to watching tv?” she whispered, between kisses. Not really minding just doing what they were doing now.

She accepted it and nodded, which he appreciated more than she might even know. He whispered a small thanks to her before he kissed her and let the moment speak for itself. Even though he liked when she told him such sweet things, that had simply been one of the sweetest things a person had ever told him, and he didn’t know what to do with it, not yet. He didn’t want to silence her or give her boundaries about what she could talk about, but for now, there were some things that seemed so true and serious that he couldn’t let himself accept it. He wanted nothing more than to give in to everything that she shared and made him explore, but the constant rejection he had gotten throughout his whole life was for once a barrier, but only because it actually seemed like there was a goal. Something he actually could achieve. Someone he didn’t want to be rejected from.
He smiled a little as she whispered if they weren’t going to watch television. “We can watch the television if you want to,” he replied softly, giving her a sweet little kiss, almost as if he had buried the small bump they had met. “But I wouldn’t mind just watching you,” now that could mean a whole lot of different things and there was none of them that he didn’t want to include, as long as she felt comfortable.
