Place and surroundings: A book store in Southside (Alena's favourite). Small but filled with books. A few customers here and there, but not busy at all

Gone with the wind, Wuthering Heights, Emma, Sense and Sensibility in various editions and colours. The romantic classics were her favourites - always had been. She’d spend a lot of time in this particular book store as she found that it provided the perfect selection of the classics she enjoyed the most without it being too big or commercialised. Alena grabbed a book from one of the shelves and started to read the summary at the back of it even though she was well aware of its storyline. As she read through the summary she enjoyed the recognizable scent of new books that surrounded her. For a moment she forgot where she was as the written words transformed into images in her mind.

Alena’s brown curls were carelessly placed in a bun on top of her head. The curls that hadn’t made it into the bun framed her face. She wasn’t wearing any makeup which made her green eyes stand out even more. Alena was wearing a knitted jumper that had definitely been washed too many times and a pair of running tights. She hadn’t been running much (not at all to be excact), but preferred to be comfortable.

The section of the book store with the romantic classics was placed near the door and Alena was slightly aware of who entered and left the store - or as aware as she could be while her attention was focused on the book in her hands.

Moving around in SouthSide, was no new thing for him, yet taking the time to visit shops and look around, that was indeed very much unfamiliar territory. It wasn't as much as he didn't care, more that he had other things to do or simply didn't want to waste his time, looking at trivial things and trinkets, when he could be doing so much more interesting and less mundane chores. He was a man of certain taste and enjoyed in the same way, certain things in almost every aspect of his life. As someone that then also got extremely bored very fast, looking around a simple shop was like being tortured in a way.
Yet somehow he found himself in a bookshop, walking around the aisle, his gaze sometimes looking towards sections of books, before then moving on to something else. It was, however, on his way out, he noticed a young human girl, looking through the great litteratures of love stories. It was so sweet it almost made him feel sick. He'd never truly understood humanities need to categories love and the need for it, it was as if they couldn't stand the presence of their own person, they had to drown it out in the company of other people, while pretending to love said person.
"I take it you're a fan of the old classics?" he commented, as he'd stopped himself from leaving the shop, instead turning his bored attention toward the human. He spoke with a silk voice, dominated by an american accent, and yet it was very smooth and soft, much like if silk had been identified as a person speaking. He tilted his head slightly, intense blue eyes watching the young woman.

Alena looked up from the book as her reading was interrupted mid-sentence. She hadn't realised that someone was standing in front of her as her attention was focused elsewhere. She used to go to the bookstore several times each week and the customers there never really approached one another which made her even more surprised by the question from the stranger.

His voice was unlike anything she’s heard before. Smooth and soft at the same time and with an accent she couldn’t quite place at first. Was it american? The softness of his voice made her think of silk - if the material had a sound, she imagined that it would sound just like him. The stranger's eyes were blue to a point that felt unreal to her and when she looked into them she forgot for a few seconds that the question of his required an answer. Alena felt her cheeks getting warmer when she realised that her fascination was probably very obvious as she had stared at him without talking for a few seconds too long for it to be polite.

“I guess I am” she looked around the section and was suddenly very aware of the cliché that it was. She imagined that she looked like a young woman waiting impatiently to experience a great love like the ones she had read so much about. But wasn’t that what everyone wanted though? Even if that was true she still discreetly hid the book behind her back as she continued talking. “Aren’t you?”. Her voice slowly got more confident the more she spoke, but it sounded nothing like silk - or any other expensive material for that matter. “I haven't seen you here before”. It was a statement more than a question as she was sure she would have remembered him, if she’d ever seen him before. A statement like that was only slightly better than ‘Do you come here often?’ and she kicked herself mentally for initiating flirting at a level that low.

He'd noticed her gaze on him quite fast, he wasn't blind after all and knew what kind of beauty he beheld in the gaze of humanity. Humans only really saw the external beauty he cast outward, not the monster he held beneath, but maybe that was the truth of humanity, wanting beauty to be good and not simply the mask of a monster standing in front of them. Maybe it was the same with the girl in front of him, caught by the ideals of the old classic love stories, the meet-cute from movies and stories told over and over again. From her gaze and how she was looking only at his outward physique, he assumed she must be taken back by him and his voice like so many had done before. Something he both loved and yet found to be so very boring.
He chuckled, finding her answer and then later question to be both funny in nature and yet also disgustingly cute. He could imagine her late a night in bed, the light from a flashlight illuminating the pages of the book, as she hoped to dream of an epic love story herself. The handsome man coming into her life, finally loving her the way no man had ever loved anyone else. If only she knew what was standing in front of her, maybe she wouldn't be there still, maybe she'd run away scared out of her tiny mind. But she didn't and there laid the fun of it all, him pretending to be what he wasn't while playing with what in the end could be considered his food.
"It's really my first time, is it that obvious?" he asked with a small chuckle, that turned into something of a smile, his blue gaze lingering on her "I don't really read that much, or at least not as much as I used to," he tilted his head slightly, before then continuing, "I'm assuming you to be a regular here? Or simply a fan of the romantic genre?" he asked, looking toward the book he sensed she was hiding behind her. Curiously he found himself stepping towards her, allowing the nature of his ability to expand, just to see how she would react. How he was able to turn people in his favour, how some had even viewed him as a God and in the end why Christ had been nailed to a cross. His power to ensared the mind towards his way and towards the want to be near him. The reaction was always different and yet always intriquing, some feeling it like an addictive pleasure and others like being suffocated slowly. So how would this young human react to him, the false messiah?

She responded to his chuckle with a gentle smile. Without knowing or understanding why, her mind reached the conclusion that a stranger that held such beauty could only have pure intentions. If there were any red flags she’d never be able to discover them as her attention was solely focused on his blue eyes that she felt like she could disappear into.

“Not that obvious”, she answered while still looking into his eyes. “But most of the people here are regulars, so it’s hard not to notice when someone visits for the first time”. That was just a straight up lie. She would never be able to tell any of the regulars apart because she simply didn't acknowledge any of them when she visited the shop. The books was the reason why she was there and she actually preferred to have as little conversation as possible when she read summaries and turned pages. Alena knew that the stranger wasn’t a regular because of the effect that his presence had on her. She would’ve remembered a meeting prior to this very clearly why she was certain that this was indeed the first one. She smiled a bit as if the change in her facial expressions were enough to cover up the lie.

In the romantic literature surrounding them an extraordinary male character would often coincidentally meet an ordinary girl and the two would somehow find themselves unable to love each other any less than unconditionally despite their obvious differences - because that is just how love works. Alena didn’t quite believe that an epic love story like that could ever unfold in the real world, but the current situation felt a bit like the beginning of one of those. She would actually be able to point out more than a few books where this exact situation was a defining part of the storyline.

The beauty of the stranger became quite overwhelming as he was stepping towards her. For a minute she was unable to form a sentence in response but it didn’t really make a difference as her body language told it all. Without even thinking about it she felt her right foot stepping in front of the left and minimised the distance between them even further. “I guess I’m a regular,” she told him at last. If her voice had gained any confidence before, it was gone now.

As she stepped closer to him, he knew she felt the effect of his presence like many had done before her and many would do after her. He did wonder though, if she knew what happened to her or if it was all subconscious, her mind taking what it wanted for her, rather than it being herself making the decisions. In most cases, a very rare few, was actually able to understand what happened to them, as they got close to him and yet most didn't, it was the primitive part of their mind being slowly taken over.
"So what is your name, my fair maiden?" he asked as if taken a page from one of those older novels, the one in which the main character finally has a conversation with the main love interest. Their names were exchanged and love blossomed from what little of a first impression that was created "Can you recommend a book then, for someone with the lack of experience that you seem to behold yourself?" he attempted to prick at her interest in books, making it appear as though he himself also held that very same interest, when in fact he couldn't actually care less. Books were after all a waste of time, though she did not know that and if he truly was to play with his food, he had to lull her into a sense of security and safety, or else it wasn't really nearly as funny, when the trap then set down on her.

Alena had always been quite naive in her approach to other people and was for the most part unable to recognize true intentions behind a beautiful appearance. Especially when the presence of someone had such a paralysing effect on her body and mind as the presence of the beautiful stranger seemed to have. It wasn’t unusual for her body to react before her mind, and therefore she didn’t question how this sudden attraction had arised.

She smiled when he asked for a book recommendation. He had just told her that he wasn’t much of a reader and she didn’t find it likely that he had changed his mind on that in such a short period of time. Therefore she assumed that the question was either based on a wish to learn more about her or a wish to extend the duration of the conversation. It was a conclusion based on her own interpretation of a very small amount of information as she had no idea of his true intentions, but if she had to guess, she chose the conclusion that held a bit of great love story-romance. It made her feel that the attraction was not only one-sided even though she didn’t quite understand how that happened. But the ordinary girls from the books didn’t always understand it either.

With her conclusion in mind she revealed the book that she had hid behind her back for almost the entire conversation. It was the biggest great love-story cliché of them all: Pride and Prejudice. Ordinary girl. Beautiful and mysterious male who loved her from the very first meeting. Great love. “This is a great start". She smiled at bit more as she revealed the cover of the book. “But you shouldn’t read this copy” she placed the book on the shelf where it belonged and reached into her bag instead. In the bag she carried her own copy of the same book. Her copy was very well-loved and filled with post-it’s, marks and notes added while she was reading it. And she'd read it several times. Alena handed him the well-loved book. “I highlighted my favourite parts”. If he were to truly understand her as well as the book she wanted him to know when he was reading the parts she loved the most. And if he borrowed something of hers he would have to return it at some point. And if he had to return it they would meet again. She smiled at that idea as she was sure she had found the most perfect and subtle way to flirt with him. Way better then ‘do you come here often’

He almost chuckled at how she did not reveal her name, believing her to be either caught up in the moment and closeness of the books or that of his presence. His powers had after all the tendency to mess with people, make them act in unnatural and strange ways, and maybe in the case of the human, she simply forgot his question regarding what her name was. So he let it go for the moment, possibly finding another way to gain this very information. Some would find it strange that he would care to gain her name, but with her name, he could get pieces of information and play around with this, after all, misery and fear truly tasted better than that of happiness. How her soul would be the most tasteful when she actually figured out that this supposed love story didn't possess much of any love in it and that she did in fact stare into the gaze of a monster, not a prince.
He turned his gaze down to the book, the one she'd been hiding behind her back, revealing it to be yet another classical love story. Humans truly were predictable and boring, maybe that could be from his old age and the fact he truly did not care for humanity, they only served him as food and at times a bit of fun. Yet so fragile, they broke so very easily, that he had at times accidentally killed a human, even when he had no intentions of doing so.
The sudden act of her borrowing him the book, caught him off guard, though he did assume her intentions were the hopes of seeing him again. Her naivety was truly strong, and he wasn't sure if he'd ever seen one this strong in another person, maybe that would only make for a more delicious meal in the end.
As she handed the book to him, he reached forward, and deliberately touched her hand with his fingers, as he grabbed the well-worn-out book "thank you, but now I would have to at least either know your name or find a way to seek you out once more, in order to give back what you've so kindly borrowed me," maybe this time she would not forget his question regarding her name. His gaze lingered on her as if for a moment he thought of something to do "if you're not too busy and do not have plans, would you like to maybe get some coffee or tea? I've heard of a place close by, that is known for selling quite amazing beverages." He raised his eyebrow, as he waited for whatever response she would give, to this sudden invitation of prolonging this conversation and meeting to another location.

Her heart skipped a beat when she felt his touch on her skin as the well-loved book changed hands between them. She wasn’t prepared for the physical contact and when it happened her movements freezed for a second. Not for long, but enough for it to be noticeable. When she gained back the control over her body she looked down at their hands which undoubtedly was the source of her reaction and then into the stranger’s blue eyes as if she was searching for the reason why her body reacted this strongly to a brief and - as far as she was concerned - coincidently touch of his. Alena was unable to hide her reaction that was easily read off her face. Surprise… and something else. Something she hadn’t quite felt before and couldn’t quite define or describe. Whatever it was her body wanted more of it and without her even noticing she took yet another step forward in order to further minimise the distance between them.

“A… lena”. Answering the question this close to the stranger felt comparable to drinking three glasses of champagne before answering a complicated maths problem. The last four letters were pronounced in a delayed manner as if she for a brief moment had forgotten what they were. “Alena Vaganova” she repeated her first name with the right pronunciation and added her last name in order to make the repeating of her name seem intentional. She was almost certain that she didn’t succeed. Alena never used her east european sounding last name and regretted sharing it immediately.

“Yes!” She accepted the invitation to go somewhere and get coffee or tea almost immediately after he finished his sentence and she was painfully aware of how eager it must have sounded. But she interpreted the invitation as his way of getting to know her even more and that made her happy in a way that was close to euphoric and therefore close to impossible to hide. “I would love to go there” she added in a more balanced - but still eager - voice. She didn’t specify where she wanted to go, but somehow it was secondary as she would probably go anywhere he told her to - no matter the location or the menu.

The space between them seemed to grow smaller and smaller, with most of it happening from her part, which could only mean she was slowly being ensnared into his trap and she probably didn't even know it. It was probably his favourite part of the hunt, slowly watching as the other person so clearly got affected by his person, and they couldn't even do anything to stop themselves. He remembered in his younger years when humanity hadn't been that widespread, and he used to charm the village people into giving up their souls or offering themself up to his father. Those were the good times.
With her name finally revealed, the poor girl even having a hard time remembering that which should be rather easy, he almost felt a bit bad for her, the keyword being almost. Gently he took her hand in his own, making a small bow, as he gently lifted her hand up and kissed the knuckles of her hand "Pleasure meeting you, Alena," his pronunciation of her eastern European name hitting the right notes as if to wonder he may have spent a great deal of time there, which he also had "I am Samael," unlike her, he did not give her his last name, as names held power and if she was to know his family history, the hunt itself might be over way too quickly and that would be both boring and a waste of time.
As he raised himself, he also slowly let go of her hand, as if giving the impression he didn't really wanna let go of her, and that just having now touched her, gave him a longing to touch her once more, even if something so small and trivial as the hand. The quickness in which she answered his question, almost made him rather surprised, yet his outward appearance gave the impression that it pleased him, a smile even growing on his lips "In that case, do you need to get any more from here or should we leave now?" he asked, allowing her to be the one making the final decision, even if one had already been made on her behalf, by the second they started talking and yet she didn't know. Humans after all loved the concept of free will, and yet didn't know they didn't even hold the slightest control over their tiny lives.

The romantic classics, the customers and everything else around them disappeared for a brief moment when his lips touched her skin. Even though he only kissed her hand she felt it everywhere. A warm feeling spread across her body at a fast pace whilst her heart rate raised beyond any scale. He truly was like the male characters from her books and this truly was that kind of meeting where the great love had its beginning. The way he talked, moved and the way she felt around him left no doubt about it if there ever was any.

She smiled when he repeated her name. His pronunciation was significantly better than hers had ever been. But to be fair she never really spoke any other language than English while it sounded like he had spent a lot of time in the area around eastern Europe. Much to her parents' regret she never had any interest in the family history or the country they originated from.

When Samael - as she had now learned was his name - let go of her hand she realised that she had held her breath the entire time. In order to provide the oxygen that her brain needed she took a deep breath before answering his question. “No, I’m good. Thank you”. Her answer was slightly delayed as the feeling his kiss had left in her body wasn't gone just yet. She was eager to continue the conversation and was unable to cover it up - especially when the distance between them seemed to only grow smaller. The attraction towards him was just as present in her body as it was in her mind

Alena headed for the door to emphasize that she was in fact ready to leave the bookstore and that she had accepted his invitation to continue the conversation elsewhere. By being the first of them to move towards the door she felt like the final decision was hers and she hoped that he still wanted to join her. She didn’t question his intentions that seemed pure. If he just felt a fraction of what she felt when they were interacting she didn’t find it odd in any way that he wanted their conversation to continue. She definitely wanted that.

Her quick movent, having made up her mind regarding whether or not they should stay a moment longer, did surprise him. So for something as simple as a human, she did certainly bear the ability to surprise him in more ways than one. Possibly a quality he did like in a person and now he wondered how many sweet words and tales of lies it would take, in order to get her into some kind of bed. He also wondered if her tiny mind would be able to handle that, at least she would go out with a bang, in the literal form. He did think she would be quite beautiful, once all those clothes were removed, he'd imagine her shivering as he would touch her and the noises he would be able to make her say. He mentally made it a note, to at least bed her before killing her, maybe as a parting gift.
Quickly he followed her, his long legs not having to take that many steps, in order to once again be close to her. His gaze turned down towards her and he wondered how this tiny human somehow now appeared to be his source of entertainment and why exactly he'd chosen her. To begin with, it had been her naivety, and yet she was a surprising person and not what he'd expected. Yet this also opened up the idea, that her soul had to be so very sweet in taste, that he could almost imagine granting her a kiss and then taking a tiny taste of it. She probably wouldn't even notice what was happening, given how she'd reacted to nothing more than a peck on her knuckles. He did enjoy her reactions to him, and it did give him the want to tease her even more.
They hadn't spoken much on the way to the café, yet he'd deliberately let his hand grace against hers, making it look like small accidents, bumps on the way or simple movements of the body, as they walked. As they finally reached their destination, he gracefully opened the door for her, allowing her first to step inside, before he himself got in "Which spot would you prefer?" he asked, looking around to the different types of tables, some more private and intimate than others, one even allowing them to be seated beside each other on a sofa. He assumed she might pick that one.

She smiled at him with surprise in her eyes as he opened the door for her. She had never met a man before, who was as elegant and caring as he seemed to be. She couldn’t think of a time where someone had even thought of opening a door for her and she definitely had never experienced a man bowing and kissing her hand as a greeting. Alena was used to the rude behaviour of the guests at the bar she worked at, and she didn’t expect much else from the opposite sex if they weren’t a character in a Jane Austen-novel.

Alena stepped inside the café of Samaels choice. It seemed like a nice place with different seating options. She quickly scouted around the room and the couches in the private and intimate area of the café caught her attention instantly. On their walk there his hand had touched hers accidently a few times and the brief touch alone had made her dizzy to a point where it was almost impossible for her to walk. Even though he had such an unpractical effect on her body’s ability to move she wanted to feel his touch again. Therefore, the question of his was easy to answer and so she did. “The couches - they look the cosiest” she said as she moved towards them.

When they sat down she realised that she didn’t even drink coffee or tea. She had probably accepted the invitation no matter what it contained anyway, but now she was afraid that her affection towards him would be too obvious if she revealed that about herself. Naively unaware of the fact that the affection had probably been obvious for quite a while she ordered a black coffee as soon as a waitress appeared. “What would you like to drink?” she asked Samael while she tried to sound like someone who ordered coffee a lot.

The choice regarding their seating and her final saying was as expected. Of course, she chose the couches, allowing them to sit even closer to each other, and allowing for more room to them touching one another. He would actually have been more surprised, if she'd chosen the high chairs or maybe something a bit more out in the open, rather than that of the private and intimate areas. He followed her towards them, sitting down on the small couch beside her. He allowed his hand to rest on the couch, a bit close to where she herself was sitting and yet never so far away from his own body, that it appeared unnatural or as if he'd want to touch her. Yet his pinky finger was stretched out more towards her than the other fingers, which could indicate his wish to touch her. All signals from something so little, and yet for someone who overanalyzed every aspect of a moment, it could give small signals towards the possible wants and need he would have.
"I actually don't drink that much coffee and I've always hated tea, it was just an excuse to be able to talk with you more," he admitted as if some part of him hadn't wanted to meet at the bookshop to simply just end there, and with the possibility of them never meeting again. A continuation of a conversation would mean them getting to know one another and therefore also them meeting one another once again. With the hand not touching the couch, he looked at the menu, seemingly thoughtful about what choice he had before him "I'll just take some water for now." He turned to look at her, the deep blue eyes almost analyzing her face, just for him to admire her eyes, switching from looking at the right eye to the left eye "What would you like?" he asked curiously, a smile slowly coming across his lips.

He didn’t drink coffee or tea either! None the less he had invited her to a café that primarily served just that. And if that wasn’t enough he admitted that the reason behind his invitation was to get an excuse for prolonging their conversation. Her heart skipped a beat as it had done several times that day. Until now she had just interpreted his movements, words and smiles to be signs of his affection for her. Now, when he had admitted that he wanted more time with her, she felt like he had admitted that he felt the affection as strong as she did. He hadn’t quite done that (actually not even close), but she was sure that they were his true feelings. She imagined telling her friends about how they met for the first time and how she didn’t believe in great love stories until she looked into his beautiful blue eyes. How they immediately fell in love and how everything changed from that day on.

Alena's ability to concentrate was heavily affected by Samaels presence. Even though they had been standing quite close to each other in the bookshop, sitting next to him on the couch felt more intimate. She didn’t want it any other way despite her breathing becoming irregular and her heartbeat starting to raise.

When he asked her what she wanted Alena could really only think of one thing to answer. She wanted him. Instead of telling him that, she confirmed that the black coffee was just fine even though she already knew that it would be hard for her to finish it. She found it easier to learn to drink coffee than to admit that she had pretended to like it to ensure that they would get more time together.

He raised his eyebrow, black coffee? He hadn't thought that would be something she would drink, actually he'd thought quite the opposite in fact. Yet maybe it was just another thing about her, that seemed to surprise him more than he thought possible. Even if humanity had its many irritations, some might have the power of being surprising in many ways, but at the same time, he didn't hold them in that high of regard and therefore small things were able to catch him off guard.
He held up a hand in order to catch the attention of a server, and as she came over to them, he neither flashed a smile nor seemed to look too much at her, as his gaze often would return back to Alena "A water and a black coffee," he quickly said, while also looking at Alena, as if to see if he said it the right way. He also allowed the woman to write everything down, before then completely turning his attention towards Alena. Having noticed she had not seen his hand on the sofa, he softly moved it closer, just to see if this would catch her attention, after all it would give the possibility of them touching one another "So, what is it you do when you're not looking through classical literature and finding your next book?" he asked, as if curious about her daily life and what she might be finding herself doing in her mundane small life. While looking at her, his gaze very quickly would fall to her lips, every once in a while, yet never for too long and never too often.

Alena smiled ear to ear when she observed how he interacted with the waitress. He was polite and elegant as he had been the entire time (she felt like that was undoubtedly a part of his personality) but his attention was focused towards her. She felt wanted and admired. Like she was the only girl in the world who had ever piqued his interest in this exact way.

“I… work at a bar. Here in Southside actually”. She hated the job she had taken out of need. She couldn’t imagine anyone working in such a place if they weren’t in desperate need of money. And the job wasn’t even paid that well. “... and I’m a student at the Academy. Second year”. She wasn't very fond of her education of choice either, but the truth was that she didn't know what else to do. Her hope was that she would figure it out along the way.

When the waitress came back with black coffee for her and the water for him, she accepted the coffee while hoping that it would taste better than she remembered. The cup was filled to the brim but she didn’t think much of it. While still holding the coffee cup she realised that Samael had moved his hand resting on the couch closer to her. She interpreted the movement as an invitation for her to move closer to him, which she did almost instantly. Her movement was sudden and for a brief moment she forgot the cup in her hand and the effect that gravity would have on the liquid inside of it. She felt a sudden warmth on her sweater as she in her eagerness had spilled quite an amount of coffee on it. Surprised, she placed the coffee on the table in front of the couch only to spill even more. Thinking she would do something about that at a later moment she quickly removed the sweater before her shirt underneath got wet and coloured by the black liquid as had already happened to the sweater. Her shirt underneath was barely a shirt as it didn’t cover much - a white top with skinny straps that revealed quite a bit of her upper body.

"You don't sound like you like either of those things? Would you rather be doing something else?" he asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. Even when pretending to actually care, he did have to listen to what she said and show some kind of interest in her life. However much he might find it boring, it would be in the interest of his goal, in the long run, if she felt like he wanted to be a part of her life, listen to her boring tales of her boring life and how she just wanted an adventure and to find love.
Once their drinks came, he was about to reach for his water and yet never quite made it that far, as she then spilt her coffee all over herself. The simple movement of trying to move closer to him had resulted in coffee everywhere. Even he was surprised by this sudden happening. So besides being able to surprise him, and the obvious naivety in her person, she was also appearing to be very clumsy, a good fact to note down somewhere. Though not all bad came from this sudden act of spilling coffee all over herself, she then removed said wet clothes and revealed a very interesting choice of clothing. He didn't believe he'd ever liked a tanktop this much, as he did at this very moment. It fit her perfectly and revealed everything he'd wanted to see from before.
His eyes couldn't leave her upper body, as his gaze almost darkened with that lust that came over him for a moment, as if he'd want to rip the rest of her clothes off and simply have her on that very couch they sat on. He reached out towards her, not even something he'd noticed, before his thump gently touched her cheek, removing a small amount of coffee that had landed on her face "You're quite beautiful," he said softly, his eyes lingering now on her lips, tempting to simply move in for the kiss. He'd imagine they would be sweet, with a slight taste of coffee, not from what she had yet to drink, but from what had spilt on them.

“It’s temporary”, she smiled. “The alternative would have been worse”. The alternative was living under her parents roof and following the path that had been laid out for her many years ago. She never regretted changing the course of her life - not even if she had to serve beers to rude men above the age of 50 for a living.

Alena felt his gaze lingering on her upper body, but was unable to comprehend the reason behind it until he revealed it to her. He called her beautiful. She had unwillingly exposed most of her upper body to him and in the company of any other man she would’ve expected a comment that was less… pure. She saw the lust in his eyes but interpreted it to be nothing more than true affection. Affection she too felt for him. For a brief moment she let herself disappear into the blue eyes of his as she felt his thumb on her cheek. It was the first time he touched her on purpose - at least as far as she was concerned. Even though the purpose of the touch was to clean the coffee off her cheek, it still sent an electric feeling through her entire body starting from her cheek and all the way to her legs and feet that suddenly felt unable to keep her standing if they had to. Alena found herself to be very grateful for the current seating situation.

Samael complimented her with a voice as soft as silk. She imagined that his lips would feel just as soft. As his eyes were moving from her upper body to her lips she found herself moving closer to him. This time without the coffee cup which made the movement a bit more graceful the biggest difference still being the lack of spilling coffee. They were already quite close so minimising the distance between them completely didn’t require much effort. She kept moving, unable to stop. Her body reacted on its own, unreachable for her mind. And then her lips touched his. They were even softer than she could’ve ever imagined them to be. The feeling when they touched was indescribable and incomparable to any other kiss she had ever experienced. It was warm but cold, electric but calm, loud but quiet. The feeling that spread across her body was euphoric - any other words just didn’t seem to fit. Alena had never tried drugs and had never succeeded to understand how some people got so addicted to them that they became willing to do anything just to get their next fix. Now she finally understood what addiction felt like.

He watched as she moved closer and closer until she was finally so close, that he could feel the warmth from her body and then their lips touched. Eyes closed and he kissed her back, one hand touching her cheek, while the other ran down her arm and then the sides of her body. He'd imagine what she might think, how she might react to this simple kiss and that in her mind it might not be as simple as just a kiss. Both because of her naive nature, but also because of his being, and how he could make people feel. Of course, all a part of his predator nature, in order to get people close and want them to change to his side.
He softly nippled on her lip, his lips moving against hers, while his hand reached around to touch her back, only to then search for exposed skin. It was so very tempting, moving the kiss to her neck and letting his lips explore her long neck, what sounds he would be able to make her say, just by simply kissing her skin. He'd also pulled her in closer, as his hand settled on her hip, with just enough exposed skin for him to touch. His grip both being tight and yet slightly loose, almost as if teasing her with what could be or what he could do.
As the kiss broke, he still kept close to her, his face against hers and their breath almost becoming one. His eyes slowly opened, to look at her "That was a nice surprise," he whispered his thump caressing her cheek ever so softly "One I wouldn't mind doing again," he chuckled softly. She had surprised him there, being the one to kiss him first, taking what little control she had and then using it against this. She'd only managed to seal her own fate even more and possibly not in a good way.

A feeling of true joy hit her as she realised that he kissed her back. Not only that, he kissed her with such deep compassion and desire that it was incomparable to anything in this world. While letting her lips move against his she felt his hand on her arm, moving on to the side of her body, then her back and lastly her hip where the top didn’t cover her completely. His hand left a burning sensation in her skin wherever it went leaving her with an insatiable feeling of wanting more. She felt the reassuring warmth from his body and breathed in his compelling smell as he pulled her closer into the kiss. Every time he tightened his grip on her hip it led her to believe that something more was going to happen. When she felt assured of the fact that he was indeed going to continue the kiss even further, his grip loosened. It happened a few times and made her body move slightly towards him in an uneasy and impatient manner. This was beyond desire. And beyond anything she could control. To kiss him wasn’t a decision but a need. Like her need for water and sleep.

He broke the kiss. He had to. She would’ve kissed him until she ran completely out of air. “I.. would love.. to… do it again” she answered. The words left her throat between her continuous failed attempts to catch her breath revealing that there wasn't much air left. She gazed at him, her green eyes filled with desire and affection for the blonde stranger that she knew very little about.

His hand on her cheek moved a bit down so that his thump was able to run across her lower lip. He'd noticed the desires growing in her gaze, one which mirrored his own, and how it was just tempting to do it right now, allow her that which she appeared to want and he himself also wanted. He couldn't remember the last time he'd wanted to have sex with someone else, so maybe Alena was a bit more than the usual human, even if he also did in fact want to kill her. But that didn't mean fun wasn't allowed in the meantime, after all, he wasn't going to end her life right here and now.
"You are tempting, far too tempting," he admitted, while his hand disappeared under her tank top, running across her lower back. For once he actually meant it, she was tempting him towards asking if they could go to her place and he could see what else she was hiding underneath all these clothes. The thought of all the other people at the café had also vanished quite suddenly, his eyes only on her and his thoughts only on her being, something he would probably later find rather foolish of himself "I wanna taste every part of you and touch all the places you've always wanted to be touched," his voice was a bit heavier with the lust for her.

Alena couldn’t breath nor speak when she felt his hand directly on her skin as he moved it underneath her white top. Normally, she would have been surprised if someone dared to do so in a place as public as the café were but at that moment she had completely forgotten the tables, the chairs, the customers and the waitresses surrounding them. She couldn’t see anything else but him. She couldn’t feel anything else but his touch. She couldn’t hear anything else but his voice. She couldn’t even smell anything else than his very compelling scent as she leaned closer to him. She wanted him as she had never wanted anything before and she didn’t worry about who knew. He sure was the tempting one.

When he revealed what he wanted to do to her, a slight moan left her lips. Said lips were very close to Samaels right ear as she once again had minimized the distance between them. She was unaware of the sound that followed her reaction as she for a brief moment lost control of most of her senses. Alena obviously hadn’t told him anything about what she preferred in a more private setting, but the way he formed the words and the way his voice got heavier as he spoke them, assured her that he knew exactly what he was supposed to do. He probably knew more about her body's wants and needs than she did herself.

For a moment she forgot all about the great love stories. In those, the main characters would not do the kind of things she wanted him to do to her. Such.. colourful wording was rarely used in a classic novel. “Do it then” she challenged him. But her voice didn’t mirror the confidence that the words held as she was still out of breath.

The moment he heard her small moan in his ear, felt the warmth of her breath against his skin, for the briefest of moments he closed his eyes. It became harder not just ripping her clothes off, and having her there at that very moment, yet he did also know there were in a place where doing this wasn't a good idea. So he had to get her to take him with her home, and from the reaction she had and how she was acting, it would be a matter of how to do it, but when she was going to do it. But fuck he wanted her, more than he'd probably want anyone for a long time, which was weird in many ways, given she was a human and yet here he was, craving her in the sense of the way.
The challenging words, even if her voice didn't match them, made him raise an eyebrow and quickly his lips found hers, kissing her with such intensity that made the other seem tame in comparison. However, the kiss wasn't long, as he quickly broke it off "then take me with you, and I'll do anything you want," he whispered against her lips. His own words mirrored the challenge in her own, though his voice a bit more confident.

The kiss made her almost lose consciousness. It felt like her body was unable to contain the amount of euphoria that a simple kiss of his so easily caused. As the feeling overwhelmed her to a point where she couldn’t feel anything else, he broke the kiss off. Way too early. Her disappointment of the sudden interruption manifested into an undefinable sound - something in between a sigh and a moan without being either. Her want for him had suddenly become an all-consuming need. Her green eyes revealed the fact more than she could ever have done with words. Which was actually quite lucky, as being this close to him affected her ability to construct a sentence correctly.

.. anything you want. She didn’t even let him finish the sentence before she got up from the couch they'd been sitting on. The recent interaction between them had effectively made her forget their surroundings. Therefore she didn’t realize that she in her sudden movement bumped into the table in front of them with such force that the coffee cup, with the little amount of coffee that was left, fell to the floor and broke. She heard the sound of the breaking porcelain, but was unaware of her part in the final destruction of the coffee cup. Her left knee had hit the table pretty hard, but she couldn’t even feel that. In the morning she would wonder where the bruise had come from.

“Let’s.. go home then” she answered her voice mirroring what her body felt. Desperation, eagerness, lust… and need. In her mind she started to plan the shortest route to her apartment near the academy and decided that they would probably need a cap with a driver that didn’t think much of speed limits. She took his hand and led him out of the café without wondering if they’d even paid for their beverages. Nothing else mattered. She would do anything to have him now.
