Time: 22:54 Date: 29th of August Location: A palace in the countryside Outfit: Formal gown + black high heels Dedicated to: @SebastienOlivia looked upon the exterior of the palace as she walked closer to it, admiring the detailed architecture. It reminded her of their mansion in Italy, making a faint smile appear on her ruby red lips. Her family had told her that it belonged to an influential and ancient vampire family and that she needed to be introduced to them. But either way, it was only expected of her to attend these kinds of events. Nearing the entrance, a servant opened the door for her and her family. She glanced around the superfluous space for a moment. The marble floors were white with golden cracks and two large staircases led up to the second floor. The exclusivity would seem overwhelming to most, but Olivia had lived her whole life in homes like this, so it didn’t impress her much. She followed the members of her family towards the ballroom where the party was held and was quickly introduced to a Mr. and Mrs. Debray as well as Dr. Campbell. And it wasn’t long before she caught herself midst in a conversation about their businesses in Gaia and what they’d done or seen since the last gathering. Olivia pretended to care about it, asking elaborate questions out of politeness and etiquette. After twenty minutes she excused herself from the group and walked outside to the stone terrace that overlooked the grand garden. Seeking refuge from the music and the crowded ballroom. She stopped by the end of the terrace and rested her arms on the railing. It was beautiful. How the moonlight glistened in the water of the fountain, and how all the flowers got a midnight blue hue to them at night. She leaned slightly forward as she imagined the kind of people who had lived here in the past. How they’d hosted gatherings similar to this one and stood here on the same terrace as she was, and she remembered how her family had spoken of their past. They would always talk about how different things had been. And she found it strange to think that years from now she'd perhaps look back on this day and reminisce about her own life.

Clothes: A dark blue suit Link- Other: 1,96 Meters tall + Cold skin + Protected mind + DaylightringIt hadn't been the first time, that he'd been invited to such things and it would probably not really be the last while, though while he didn't hold a title as per say, he was a bit high up in the nobility, holding a name that held history, while also having lived in the upperclass society since birth. However, it wasn't that he always was such a big fan of them, as a human he'd mostly just went to them, since it had been what was expected off him, sometimes he could still hear the sound of his fathers voice, telling him how he was the future of the family, and that it was expected of him to find a good wife and then get a family, to further the family liniage further. Now 700 years later, being not only a vampire, but also the sterile kind, he knew the possiblity of children was long pass gone and while the idea of a family had been a want before, it wasn't anything he really thought of these days, though it had been causing a certain sorrow in his now dead heart, not being able to see his offsprings running around the house, while their mother calls for them to relax. He sighed and threw everything away, as he entered the house, walking around the many people, in which he was soon offered some beverge, and he could slightly feel the gaze of a few people towards him. But as he did not really care for them, or rather to socialise at the moment, he walked outside, while still holding his champagne in one hand. As he got to the patio, he was met by the smell of something sweet and soft, like a summerday in the countryside of his favourite villa, and it was about this time he noticed the blonde beauty leaning against the railing "Un éclair... puis la nuit ! - Fugitive beauté, Dont le regard m'a fait soudainement renaître, Ne te verrai-je plus que dans l'éternité?" (A lightning flash… then night! Of fleeting beauty, by who glance I was suddenly reborn, shall I see you again only in eternity?) he said, speaking with a soft spoken voice and a strong french accent. He was a big fan of poetry, and more specificly french poetry, so it wasn't unheard that he would suddenly just throw out a poem out of nowhere "Ailleurs, bien loin d'ici! trop tard jamais peut-être! Car j'ignore où tu fuis, tu ne sais où je vais, Ô toi que j'eusse aimée, ô toi qui le savais!" (Somewhere else, way too far from here! Too late! Perhaps never! For I do not know where you flee, you don’t know where I go, o you whom I would have loved, o you who knew it!) he continued, as he got closer to her, his blue eyes admiring her beauty, which seemed to rival most gods, it wouldn't surprise him if even Venus herself would strick down upon this woman, as an act of jealousy.

She closed her eyes as she felt a breeze against her, blowing her blonde hair back and exposing her neck until it passed and the curls landed on her shoulders once more. And she wondered if she'd move into a place like this once her studies were done, or whether she'd move into the castle or back to Italy. She opened her eyes when she heard steps in the distance and sensed the alluring scent of another vampire mixed with a hint of champagne. However, she kept her gaze at the garden, first looking in his direction when he spoke. And as her eyes fell upon him, she adjusted her posture so she wouldn’t be leaning on the railing. Olivia knew no French, and even if she could understand some of the words by their similarities to Italian, she was too mesmerized by him to really listen. His voice was smooth like honey, and enigmatically seductive, making her dream of what it would be like to lie with him and exchange caresses. And if she had a beating heart, she’d surely be blushing at this moment for thinking such things. Perhaps it was true what they said, that French was the language of love. Olivia had never been approached by a tall and handsome stranger in this manner and she’d seldomly received romantic gestures from anyone, so if it was her company he desired, he'd easily granted it. “Enchanté,” she greeted with a silvery voice and made a curtsy. “But I’m afraid that’s the extent of my French, sir,” she added before a gentle smile appeared on her lips. He could have probably guessed this from the curious glance in her eyes as he spoke. Although she was very curious about him as a whole because he seemed so unlike most of the men she had met.

Now as he walked closer to her, he was presented with the evidence of her enchanting beauty, even more than what he'd been before. The blonde curls that framed the pale and slender face, full and probably soft lips, and those clear blue eyes, like the kind of ocean one would wish to see and never leave from again. He knew from the second he saw her, that she was in fact a vampire, a blind man would be able to sense what she truly was, though it did take him a bit longer, knowing whether she was born to be this way or if she'd been turned into a vampire. He chuckled as she responded in French, only to then admit it was the only French she could actually speak "Well, then it is good that I do speak English," he said, now speaking with a soft British accent, instead of the dominating French one, that only a few seconds ago had been lingering over his speech "May I ask what is your name?" he asked, as he then stepped toward her again, his soft and clear blue eyes admiring her. He could easily had called her Helen, as Helen of Troy the woman who beauty rivaled the Gods, and made the young Prince Paris turn against his purpose, simply so that she could be his.

His chuckle and smile would dazzle any lady, and Olivia was no exception. Her own smile widened slightly as he spoke again, and she could tell that he'd lived in Britain for a while from his accent. “It is,” she agreed. It would have been a shame otherwise. If she’d never been able to get to know this man, only for him to remain a mystery to her, and without a doubt haunt her dreams for a while. She wondered what he’d said to her in French, starting to doubt whether it had actually been poetry. But her doubts quickly vanished as he stepped toward her and she looked into those enchanting eyes of his. “Princess Olivia Mikaelson of Gaia,” she introduced herself. She wasn’t a well known member of the royal family as she’d lived most of her life in Italy, and she was far in the line for the throne. Still, she was taught to present herself with her surname and title at these kinds of events. She tilted her head slightly as she looked at his face, admiring his features at a closer glance. He had the kind of look that made you forget all about time and space, and although she’d experienced that many times in the past, she’d rarely felt this drawn to someone before. “Do you come from France, sir?” she asked him, wondering about his past and why he'd moved to Britain. “I’ve always wanted to visit France someday,” she admitted with a brief smile before she turned her head to the garden again. As if imagining that she was standing on someone’s patio in southern France, overlooking a vineyard. “Well, I would love to see the whole world. I’ve only been to Italy and Gaia, you see,” she said. Her studies occupied most of her time, besides of her royal responsibilities, so she'd never actually had the time to travel anywhere. But she'd always dreamt of seeing the whole world.

As she presented herself, even going as far as to state not only her full name but also that of her title, he was surprised to know he was in the presence of royalty. None the less he kept his composure, and then as elegantly as ever, he bowed and then gently held out his hand and as he took Olivia's hand in his own, his lips placed a soft kiss on her knuckles, before he then straightened himself up once more, to look into those beautiful blue eyes "In that case, it is good to meet you your Highness," there was a glimmer in his gaze, as he said these words, as he did truly meant them, even if the two of them had yet to have much conversation, though he was sure he would very much enjoy whatever they would be able to talk about together. "I am Sébastien Valois," he did not tell his title, as he was a count, though he did not think she would know who he was, as he'd been born human over 700 years ago, in which his family was a part of the great Valois family, in the end not much had been known about them, other than a great lover of poetry, who had also written a few pieces himself, had been born around 1286, who had sadly been either believed to be killed or turn into a great monster, at the mare age of 26. He had not been married and had no kids, so his lineage would never go on further, though his cousins and all the other family members, even if the Valois family only really first took rule in 1328. "Yes, I was born in France and I lived there throughout most of my life," though as the chaos had went down with people turning against the nobles, he himself had indeed left his dearly and beloved home. He'd been a somewhat friend of Queen Marie-Antoinette and her husband Louis, so it had hurt him quite a bit, when they were executed, and given he wasn't the biggest fan of Napoleon, and the lack of safety, as well as complete chaos over France, he didn't feel as if it was his home anymore. Now hundreds of years later, he did visit every once in a while, still having his home there "It is a beautiful world indeed, I have travelled many places, so I do understand your want to see more of it," he walked closer to her, now standing beside her, rather than in front of her, so that he would be able to be a bit closer to her than before. His hands now holding against the railing, while his eyes lingered on the garden, before than somehow being forced back to her beautiful face "I do apologize if I am being too forward, but you are quite beautiful in the light of moon, your grace," his soft blue eyes admiring her, now even closer than he had been able to before.

She let him take her hand, feeling his soft kiss against her knuckles and she wondered what it would feel like to have those same lips against her own. “The pleasure is all mine,” she responded before a warm smile appeared on her lips. She knew it was only customary to call her highness due to her title, and her mother was the crown princess after all, but she wasn't exactly used to it. She had a relaxed relationship with other students at the academy, so they mostly called her by her first name. His own name sounded important, although she wasn’t sure if he held a title or not. But to be invited to this kind of event, he had to be an upper-class vampire. He replied that he had been born in France, and she continued to imagine when that had been like. If he’d fought in the world wars that had undergone in France, and what kind of family he’d had throughout that time. She tilted her head lower as he revealed that he’d traveled many places, only imagining what those places had looked like. But she felt speechless as he neared her, standing beside her near the railing. She looked up at him as he complimented her, and she felt swooned by his presence. “I can only say the same to you, Mr. Valois,” she said. And the moon was surely beautiful tonight. It was as close to a full moon as it got, although she’d never found herself outside at full moon. She’d been told by her family that it was a time where werewolves would be hunting for the very likes of her. Olivia looked away from him to the stars above of her. “Would you want to take this conversation someplace quieter?” she asked him, rather straightforwardly. But they were other people outside, whether it was for a smoke or the clean air. And there were places more quiet in one of the private rooms of the palace or further away in the countryside outside.

He couldn't quite place her age, but from her nature or what he'd seen so far, she seemed young and possibly not even over the age of 50. Not that she looked older than 25, but more in the way she acted, he would assume she had yet to actually live for that long, and his theory was potentially backed up by the fact she had admitted not to having travelled that much. Of course, the reasons could be endless, and all these speculations were as they said...just speculations, and nothing more. Her compliments towards him, or rather her returning what he had said towards her beauty, made his eyebrow raise slightly, and a pull in the left corner of his mouth, as if he was pleased with her finding him attractive. He'd always been this way, or looked this way, as a human he did know he held some kind of beauty, which only been enhanced by him being turned into a vampire, a creature of the night. Though the romantism in him, did enjoy how people could look at the beauty in him, and possibly even beyond that and towards something else, as he so often did to them. He wanted to know a persons soul, wanted to see how beautiful it made them, just beyond what was flesh and blood. So often relationships were started, just because someone was attractive, but it so often eneded because the people had nothing to each other, but their simple looks. He was pleasently surprised, as she then so boldly asked if he wanted to talk more privately, and part of him wondered what she had actually meant, if it truly was to talk or if it was to do something else. None the less he nodded "Lead the way, my lady," he held out his arm towards her, so that she could hold on to it, if this was what she pleased to do, and then he would follow her inside or to remain outside, as she would lead the way, towards whatever place she wanted them to talk.

Olivia had never been shy of going what she was after, and she knew that she wanted to spend the rest of the night with him, so she was delighted when he agreed to go with her. It wasn’t every day that a man like him came along. And unlike most times, she was sincerely interested in learning more about him. She delicately put her hand under his arm and curled her hand back over it. She then led him down the stairs to the garden, thinking that going inside one of the bedrooms would come off as too suggestive, although she certainly didn’t mind the idea of them laying together. At the same time, she didn't want to screw up the chance of there being something more between them, even if that was something she usually didn't care to consider. She had never been in a long-term relationship as most of them always ended after a couple of months. And although she liked the idea of love, it seemed to remain as just that - an idea. They walked along a path with rose bushes on one side, and a hedge on the other. And as they were walking into the night, the garden only became more illuminated by the moon and the stars, further adding to its beauty. “What do you do for a living, sir?” she asked him as they walked. She couldn't guess what he worked with, but it was often a topic that people liked to talk about, and it would give her a better idea of what type of person he was. She then turned onto a smaller path that led down a hill and at the bottom of it was a glassy lake surrounded by a few trees and a white bench. And as they reached the bench, she gently let go of his arm and sat down, admiring the view of the lake for a moment before her blue eyes turned to look at him. “Do you live here in Gaia?” she then asked. She hoped that he did because it meant that there would be a bigger chance of them seeing each other again. And if not, she’d just have to enjoy his company for as long as it would last.

He'd always admired a strong woman, someone who wasn't afraid of taking what she wanted, and while he himself was a romantic of heart, and he liked the idea of courting a woman, he wouldn't mind if a woman was to court him in some way. As she laid her hand around his arm, and then lead him towards the garden, he then knew she wanted to simply just talk, which he didn't mind at all, as she did have a quite lovely voice, and so far he did enjoy being close to her, as well as just getting to know this beautiful woman. His gaze went around the garden, admiring the little things he saw along the way, to whatever destination the lady Olivia had chosen for them, and he had to admit it was indeed a beautiful garden, it almost reminded him of his childhood home, and he remembered running through the flowers and through the grass, while his best friend would chase him around, a friend who had now been long dead for many many years. His thoughts then quickly left his memories, as Miss Olivia asked toward what he was doing "At the moment not much, I do concider myself a lover of all arts and poetry," he chuckled and smiled. He'd been raised as as count, and to be something more than just a simple man, though now having lived for over 700 years, he didn't know what he really was to do with his life anymore. Maybe that was the curse with immortality, that at a certain point one had really tried almost everything, and then what was really left to do? Maybe he was to find some love, or to find the next great poet, and then help this person along the way to some fame or glory. As they reached a bench, and she herself sat down, he would then place himself beside her, though not too close, as he was still somewhat of a gentleman, and didn't want to impose himself on her too much "Yes, I do live here in this country, are you asking with thoughts in mind or with peculiarity?" he asked, with a slight smile on his lips, as his clear eyes turned to her, looking at her quite like she was possibly one of the most beautiful women, which appeared to be a pattern, him suddenly surrounded by these beautiful women, and he wondered sometimes, where they had all been when he'd been human, and why he'd ended up loving the one who would never have wanted him.

She nodded slowly as he replied. Perhaps they had more in common than she'd originally thought, considering that she studied arts and literature at the academy. She especially liked art, and how it was able to portray the most idyllic and beautiful images as well as the more melancholic and brutal. And she liked painting in her spare time, but unfortunately, she wasn’t very good at writing. “What is one of your favourite poems?” she asked. She did know a few poets from literature class, and she did appreciate their ability to describe things in new and incredible ways, but to be honest, she had never been that keen on reading. She had always leaned more towards art and dance class. But she could easily imagine herself sitting in her bedroom, listening to him recite poetry with that same passionate look in his eyes that she’d seen earlier, and she knew she’d be completely mesmerized by him. She pulled slightly up in the crease of her mouth as she thought of this. She then wondered how he’d gotten to a point in his life where he could simply not do much, and she knew it meant that money wasn’t an issue for him. He wanted to know if she’d asked with thoughts in mind, and she wondered if it had been that obvious to tell. “I was hoping that we’d have the opportunity to see each other again,” she replied with a tender gleam in her eyes. She didn’t know if he’d even be interested in dating her, but either way, she thought it to be a shame if this was their only meeting. Because in a few hours the party would end, and all the guests would return to their respective homes, and it would undoubtedly be a long time before the next one would take place. Olivia hoped that she wasn’t the only one feeling that way, but if she was, that was okay. And she’d consider herself foolish for hoping it to begin with. Because in the end, she didn't like to hope or dream of things that could ultimately disappoint her.

He thought for a moment, as unlike most people she hadn't asked for his favourite piece, but rather one of them and with a soft expression in his eyes he looked at her "Life is a flower, of which love is the honey, It is the dove and the eagle united in the sky," he said while looking at her, gently taking her hand into his own, as he turned his upper body towards her frame "It is grace trembling at insistent force, It is your hand sweetly forgotten in mine." he lifted her hand and gently kissed the inside of it, before then letting go of it again. As he was indeed a romantic of heart, he loved how some people had captured the concept of love in these beautiful words. As she admitted her intentions behind the question, his smile grew to only become bigger, and while he had yet to say what he thoughts of it, he gently reached forward with his hand and with his fingertips ran them along her cheek, and moved a few lokes of hair behind her ear, as if wanting to see more of her beautiful face "I would love to see you once more, and more after that, if that is what you wish for Lady Olivia," he said, now being the first time saying her name, rather than simply calling her your highness, and his silky voice and smooth british accent, made her name sound more like a line in poetry, rather than him just calling her by her first name.

His words sounded sincere and his voice velvety as he recited the poem, and she turned her upper body slightly more toward him. His kiss on her hand brought her butterflies, and when he let go of it again, she felt as if the moment was gone too soon. She wanted for his hand to intertwine with hers, and for his lips to linger on her skin. “You enchant me, Mr. Valois,” she admitted, looking into his blue eyes which seemed like an ocean that she could float endlessly in. But to say that she believed in any of those beautiful words, or in soulmates and true love, that would just be a lie. She had never experienced love in those picture-perfect ways. Although she understood that love made you feel as if everything was wonderful, even if they weren't. And she hoped that she'd one day feel that way. That everything was going to be okay because she had that special someone in her life. Someone who loved her unconditionally. “Will you tell me something more about you?” she then asked. After all, there had to be more to his life than poetry and arts, and she was genuinely curious to know as much as he'd like to share. When he ran his fingertips along her cheek and brushed her hair away from her face, he looked at her in that rare way she'd seldomly seen, as if there was only her in his life. Bringing her heart aflame even more than it already was, and a faint smile appear on her lips. “I’m happy to hear that,” she admitted, glancing at his lips before her eyes found his again. It was no secret that she found him extremely intriguing and that she’d felt an instant attraction to him. But he also made her feel these strange, lovely feelings. And those were ultimately what made her want to see him again.

"As you enchant me Ms Mikaelson," and she truly did, he couldn't really remember the last time, he'd been this enchanted, possibly it would have been with Jaice, but that was over 700 years ago, and time moved just like people changed. Though in this very moment, with his beautiful woman by his side, he felt as if he was that same man, that same young man who believed so powerfully he was meant to be with that person he cared for. However, he'd been wrong then, and who knew if this thing, that he felt in this moment with Olivia even would go anywhere. But as it was, for now, he would just enjoy the moments he could, with this beautiful and graceful woman, who appeared to enjoy his company. "What else do you wish to know?" he asked back, not knowing what else she wanted to know and after all, one could never know what the other party of a conversation may have wanted to gain in informations. So on other words, he would rather just ask her what she wished to know, rather than start talking about thing, that she may not even what to know. Though as they just sat there, and her gaze was meeting with his own, he felt this need to be closer to her, he wanted to touch her and kiss her, but he didn't want to overstep bounderies, and would it be gentleman of him, to just want to kiss her right away? But yet, he couldn't stop himself from admiring her plump lips from time to time. "If it is not too much to ask, may I kiss you? If not just once?" he asked, maybe that would be better, than simply just take what he wanted, and if she didn't want him to kiss her, she would be able to say so. He'd learned that things were not always just as easy, as the brain may think, and if one wanted to kiss someone, it wasn't always the first and great idea, just to kiss that very person. So instead he wanted to know, if she would want to kiss him, as much as he he wanted to kiss her.

Her smile grew wider as he confessed that he felt enchanted by her as well, and although she usually pursued this kind of attention from men, it felt different to hear those words leave his lips. As if he’d just granted her greatest wish. He then asked her what she’d like to know about him, making her move her gaze from him to the lake. “I’d like to know so much… but for instance, why did you move to Gaia? And were you turned or born as a vampire?” she asked, thinking that two questions ought to be enough for now. Olivia had only met a few created vampires throughout her life, and although she’d wondered about turning her victims from time to time, she had never done it. She looked back at his face expectantly, wondering what his answers would be. She noticed how he glanced at her lips, and as he then asked if he could kiss her, she felt herself tremble at the anticipation of what his kiss would feel like. She leaned slightly closer to him, looking into those deep eyes of his as she placed a gentle hand against his chest. “I would love nothing more,” she replied softly because she had thought of this many times since they'd met. In reality, she wanted to do much more than kiss him, but she had hoped that she’d at least gain that from their first encounter. She slowly moved her hand up his chest toward his neck, and she dreamt of what it would feel like to bite into it. Just like she did to most of the men she felt attracted to, but for now, she focused her gaze on his face as it would come closer to hers and their lips would unite in a tender kiss.

Her questions didn't surprise him, he knew something like that would come sooner or later, he was french of birth, and even if he still owned homes in France, it was sadly not a place he'd called home in many years, not like what it had used to be like "I came to Gaia around the ending of the French Revolution, after having vitness the beheading of the Queen and the King, I felt as if the France I knew and loved no longer existed. I knew that the people deserved their voiced to be heard, but the death and chaos following this, I did not enjoy it, and I never really liked Napoleon, he was far too arrogant for my taste," he explained, while his gaze was admiring the lake, before he then continued "I traveled around the world for a while, before then finding my way to Gaia, and as it was a place for beings such as myself to live in peace, I found it to be the right place." He never really felt at home anywhere, because the memories of his France still haunted him, the childhood home and the so vivid memories from his time as a human, it was still with him and he longed in so many ways just to go back to that time "I was not born a vampire, I was born a human and I lived a good life as a man. I was turned by someone I cared for, and it was not a choice I myself made," his gaze finally turned to her again, while he had loved so many aspects of his vampire life, and the people he had gotten to met and cared for, it had not been and never was his choice to become this creature. He was caught in a life, of hunger and in some ways beauty, while being haunted by the memories of a life he could have had, but never had the chance to live. As she said he could kiss her, even saying she would have loved nothing more, he found himself moving closer to her. He could feel her hand against his chest, moving over where his heart once would have beaten so fast in this moment, but now laid dead and cold. He felt as the hand moved to his neck, and his own hand laid so gently against her cheek as he closed the finale space between them, and letting their lips meet with one another. His eyes closed as he felt her sweet lips against his own.
