Nothing had really been the same. Everything in her mind had made a turn and even through she had spend the past weeks with Alison talking about it - she didn't feel more at peace. Maya knew what had happened had been a wish, a fake reality. It had been so great, much better than anything she had experienced in her life at this point. She sat down on the sand and had her gaze upon the beautiful sunset. Nature was the only thing that kept her mind in just a small bit of peace. She took a deep breath in and got up on her feet, that was when she caught a unfamiliar scent close by. She turned her head around in the direction of where the scent was coming from. Maya quickly whipped away one of her rare tears and took a deeper breath in. " Wh-" she was about to ask who was there when she saw a beautiful woman, " Hey," she correct herself almost as if her breath had been taken away. |

Clothes: Dark Dress Link + No shoes - Other: 1,73 meters tall + Fiery scent + Hair going to her midt thighs The modern life was still very unfamiliar for her, she didn't understand technology and it all seemed so strange, how all were attracted to their phones rather than their surroundings. Most of all, she just wanted to back to her own reality, she wanted to wake up in those soft beds and look into Mikayla's eyes, she wanted so much to hear that soft voice say her name, and remember their passionated nights of love making. But she couldn't, she would never be able to go back to that life, and she just had to accept it, move on like warriors on the field of a battle, with the loss of brethren surrounding them. It would hurt, but pain was a part of life and a sign one was still alive. But even with pain in her heart, she wasn't walking amongst her lost people, rather she was walking down the beach, feeling the sand against her feet, watching ever so slightly out towards the water and remember the night she woke up and how Atlas had been there, and how she was now gone as well. The life of a warrior would always be lonely, it would always be without those by your side, because when someone fought for a cause, they also knew someone had to die for it. The scent of the sky and salty tears caught her attention, and her green eyes searched towards the target, in which she saw a young woman, who seemed to be in pain. She may never had been good with emotions, but she knew pain. One might say that Pain was her friend in battle, having lost so much and still somehow finding a way through it all. She found herself walking towards this still unknown woman, with hair lingering over her left shoulder, and down over her chest "Hello," she said with a soft spoken voice "Why are you crying?" she asked.

It was odd, she could have sworn that she recognized something about the eyes of this woman. Perhaps it was the sorrow. The sweet and painful sorrow that had a hard time leaving again. It was a lonely life and a cruel one as well. Maya took a deep breath in finding herself standing in a unusual vulnerable situation. It wasn't like her to stand in front of a stranger with tears in her eyes or even be in tears. She took a sharp breath in and folded her lips slightly. "Yeah, but I'm fine," she replied with a half forced smile. It was easier to say you were fine, because often it was what people wanted to hear. If they heard you were fine, then they didn't have to deal with you anymore. She turned her gaze back to the sunset. "It's quite wonderful huh?" She said with a more genuine yet till sad smile on her lips. Maya wasn't emotional or trusting, but her guards were already pretty much let down. There was so much suffering so much hurt and to what seemed like no end. The tears went back in her eyes even through she tried to stop them, one of them escaped again. "I'm Maya by the way," she turned her eyes back to the stranger and her lips curled up on a little smirk.

She raised her eyebrow, as if she wasn't sure about the girl was telling the truth, to be honest there was no indicator that it has been true what she'd said, also she didn't ask if she'd been crying, but much rather why she was "No you're not," she just plainly stated, without letting her gaze be removed from the other woman's "But I won't push it," she shrugged, they didn't know each other and this woman, however sad she may be, didn't owe her the truth. No one could force someone to tell them a truth, which this person didn't own. While she often fought for her own truth, she was never just to tell others this, just because she was amongst others, didn't mean she would allow herself to be bare. She turned her gaze from the shape of the other woman's face, and then admired the sunset, it had been one of her favourite things, just sitting on a tall point and then admire as the sun would set in the horizon, disappear away from ones view, and towards a different place "Yeah." She allowed herself a few seconds, of actually smiling, before it then again vanished, as she again looked towards the girl, as a tear streamed every so softly down her pale cheeks, just flowered up by a slight rose color, probably from having cried. Slowly she moved towards the girl, and with a movement like a feather again the skin, she removed the tear and looked down at Maya "Tears doesn't show weakness, it's a great strength to know your own boundaries, even the strongest warrior has cried," she smiled softly "And you may call me Athena." It had been the name she'd been given by the people who had found her, they would say she reminded them of The Goddess, as she fought and showed intelligence beyond what many had seen.

If she opened up for the cage her emotions were locked in, what was to say what things that would escape? She was young, alone and terrified. Maya froze for a second as the gentle touch whipped away her tear, and she turned her ocean blue eyes towards the woman. "I don't want to be strong anymore," she confessed underneath her breath and took a inhaled a sharp breath. "Athena, that's a beautiful name," she admitted with a real smile. Maya still wondered about the scent, it was unfamiliar but reminded her a bit about someone she knew. It was like being around a warm fuzzy fire that would keep her warm in the coldest winter. The animal in her trusted this warmth, this stranger in front of her that seemed to have her own animalistic nature - but how or what this woman was, Maya had no idea yet. "The ocean is where I find peace, along with the forest. I could live out here forever - away from everything. It would be lonely, but it would be free."

In many ways, she knew what Maya meant, about not always wanting to be strong, not always having to push everything away, she herself had spent most, if not all of her life having to be strong and not allowing herself to fall back, because it could get her killed. At this point, she didn't even know who she was, if not a warrior, and if not to be a part of a battle and an army. It was strange, and she didn't know what to do about herself "You don't have to be, and strength is many things, often people just think strength is related to being physically strong or not showing emotions, but that's wrong. True strength comes from within, being able to lean on others and sometimes a stranger. If you don't want to be alone, or have to bear the burden of your pain on your own anymore, you do not have to, but it doesn't make you weak to rely on others." She'd done this herself, believing she had to carry all her pain on her own, and in some ways she still did, but there had been a time, in which she'd relied on others, to help her through her own pain. Though those people were probably dead by now, or somewhere else entirely, probably unlike this young woman, all those she'd trusted and that she'd loved, she had lost through her many years of slumber. She wouldn't know were to look for them, and in some ways part of her didn't want to, she didn't want to be faced with Mikayla, knowing that she'd lost the love of someone she just a moment ago, had told that she would love forever. "I think I love the sky more, it's calming and when you get high enough, it becomes quiet in some ways, and the view is breathtaking," she almost chuckled, remembering the first time she ever actually flew, she'd been a child and the closest to a mother she'd ever had, was there right beside her through it all. It gave her a warm feeling in her body, being able to remember back at other things than just pain and loss, but actually having memories that led to other things, like happiness "I sense you fly too?" she asked, not revealing what she actually was, it wouldn't matter anyway, most people believed her kind to be dead and gone, and others thoughts she was a Dragon.

She found the truth in Athena's words. A part of her knew that, but she also needed the reminder time to time. It was sometimes easier to carry things yourself, then you didn't have to involve anyone in anything they didn't ask for. Maya listened to Athena talk about the sky and looked above them, at the purple sky. It was true. Maya was lucky that she was a fast learner, the past months learning how to fly and accept her daily shapeshift - it had been tough but like anything else she dealt with it. It was always breathtaking, especially now that her and the bird actually were in more harmony. "Yeah, I get that," she admitted with a low voice. The next question made Maya turn her gaze back to Athena with her eyes slightly narrowed. Maya liked picking up small informations about people, perhaps the reason she had been such a great spy back in the military. "I'm pretty new in the area, but If I must confess - I would say I learn pretty quick," she replied with a little cheeky half smirk. Maya didn't know what Athena was, but her curiously really wanted to know. "Can you swim, because swimming while watching the sunset - it quite amazing. Not as amazing as feeling the wind under your wings - but its close."
