The sudden act of her stopping his kiss, something she until now had not been able to do, was in a small way alarming, should he assume she was growing in control? By the simple emotional act of talking about something? He did not like this, while he gave her the concept of self-control, she did not have any, yes she may surprise him and in some ways, he enjoyed that, but he did not enjoy her taking so much control, as to pull away from him. His gaze did meet hers, looking up and into those big eyes of hers, eyes he did consider very beautiful, maybe he should save them after she was dead, could be a sweet memorial of her and their time together.
Her words were sweet, not words he would think her to give him if she actually knew the real truth if she knew what he'd spent his life doing. He wondered just how scared of him she would be, she called him beautiful now, but if she was to see his true face, maybe she wouldn't be so happy then or that mesmerized by him. He did not think too much of it, as the soft touch of her hand against his cheek, quickly brought him back from it "you're sweet," he almost smiled at her, finding her words kind in a way, maybe if he'd been human he would love her or fall in love with her, maybe if he'd never been born the way he was, he would be able to care for her and not want to kill her at the same time. Maybe if she'd never been so naive, she wouldn't have gotten up in this situation or maybe if she'd just stayed home this very day, they would never have met and she wouldn't have thought of his existence. He would never have existed on her mind, and she could have continued on with her little human life, none the wiser of her own danger. Yet this was not the case and this was not her fate.
He reached up, yet not to touch her cheek, as his fingers found her soft hair, playing with a few locks, while he admired her. In some ways, she seemed almost unreal, and he wanted to stay in the moment with her, never leave this room and never go on with whatever his plans were, just live in this moment with her. A moment in which they knew almost nothing of each other, yet their bodies collided in passion and pleasures. How he would love it if he'd been able to love "and beautiful," he said, continuing the previous words, though with a long silence in between.

Even though she was smiling, he could sense that he'd lost her in his pretence, that what had once worked earlier, seemed to go right through her. Quite irritating, if one were to ask him. He did not like when people tried to find him out, or at least not in this way, as she tried analyzing his face as if that would make him reveal everything to her. His own personal hell, was no one else but his own, just as his trauma was his own, and therefore not for anyone else to know. People had tried asking in the past, tried to get to know him and tried to share their own pains with him, as if that would make any kind of difference, they would never understand. All those years alone broke him in every way imaginable and no one would be able to heal that pain in him, not even Alena as sweet as it was when she believed she could.
He frowned as she suddenly sat up, even more so as she tried pulling him up with her, and in his confusion as to what she was doing, he allowed her this moment of control. That was when she did the one thing, he had not remembered anyone ever doing to him, she hugged him. He felt it as she pressed herself closer to him and simultaneously pulled him towards her, while also locking her arms around him. For a moment he did not know what to do, nor how to act, as the simple act of a hug had never been done to him and if it had, it would have been aeons since he'd last felt it. He felt so vulnerable in the moment, something he hated and never allowed himself to be and yet here he was, in the arms of a human feeling things he hated the feeling.
Thoughts of either hugging her, kissing her or simply killing her at the moment rose, yet in the end he simply closed his arms around her, hoping that by at least hugging her back, she'd stop this and he could go back to feeling some sense of control once more. Had it been any other way, he'd have her killed at that very moment, just for having asked about his family. Maybe the awkwardness in his reaction would reveal his lack of experience in this way, how he didn't rememeber the last time someone held him.

It had been almost strange in a way, how animalistic lust suddenly turned into this tender moment, in which he could feel her love for him growing. In a way he liked it and wanted more, it had been in his nature all his life, going by the uncomplicated search of wanting to be loved by someone in the way he thought he deserved. Angels had hated him, most demons adored him and family love was as complicated as anything could become. Yet the simple love of a human had not been something he thought he needed, and yet here he was, feeling the warm sensation coming from her as she kissed him so softly and made a place for him to lay beside her. It was as if she wanted nothing from him, nothing big and grand but to be near him. He wondered if she deserved the kind of pain that came with this wish, even if he'd planned on simply killing her, he did have to admit her warmth was a pleasant feeling.
So he found a comfortable position laying down beside her, placing himself on his side so that he would be able to look at her and in a way maybe even admire her. His hand reached out, running softly across her stomach, going from one hip to the other, before pulling her closer to his own body. His head he placed close to her shoulder, his forehead resting against her cheek. Some would say this would be the humanity in him, seeking the comfort of a soft embrace and the love of another human. Who knows, maybe they would have been a great match if he'd not been born a monster but just one amongst many other humans, living his life with some unknown goal. He'd imagine for a moment, being a human and coming home from work to be greeted by her, he imagined kissing her softly and at night times they would make love as if they were still newly in love.
How kind things would have been, if past happening had not been happenings, but only the nightmare of a creative mind. He would have loved her, alas this was not the case and he was not human, so who knew what kind of fate this young woman had before her, how she'd sealed her own death simply by replying to the words of a stranger. Whatever it was, whatever was to happen, for some reason he did not want to think of it, he would be in the moment and be with her. Softly he kissed her shoulder, before then closing his eyes. He wondered if maybe this would be his first real sleep in years, knowing she possessed no real threat to him, he would not have to fear for his own life or what could happen if he realized. So slowly as minutes would go by, his breathing would relax and he would sleep tenderly beside her, an arm around her and his face softly against her shoulder.

It had been a long time since he'd slept peacefully, or rather since he'd slept at all. Even if sleep was an important thing for many creatures, he himself didn't actually need it and while many saw it as a brief moment where the brain could rest and they were not trapped in their everyday troubles, this was not the case for him. Sleep was a gateway, a way for his body to be vulnerable and in danger from everything around him, a way for his mind to remember years of torture and years of pain. Maybe that was why he never tried to do it, yet in this very moment, his mind did not go straight to sorrows and destruction, for a moment it held almost a state of peace. As if he knew he was not in danger and therefore did not have to fear what anyone might be able to do to him.
Even the soft touch of Alena seemed to make his sleep more pleasant than anything, so the moment he entered the deep sleep, he did not notice anything she did nor what she might have said to his sleeping body. For a small second, he may have moved a bit, but this was only his body finding a comfortable position, before then going still again. So as Alena herself fell asleep and night slowly would turn to early morning, it was with a rather pleasant sleep he laid beside her, his arm still lingering around her waist and his head close by her own, a peaceful expression on his face.

While it may have been the most peaceful sleep he'd had, in more than a thousand years, it did not mean he wasn't aware of his surroundings. So the moment he felt her staring, he became quite aware that she was in fact there beside him, even so, more when she kissed his forehead. He took an intake of air through his nose, before then opening his eyes to look at her. He blinked a few times as if to figure out where he was and what was happening, yet it became clear quite fast. He was in a bed, and beside him was a human, one which he'd planned on killing at some point in the future, he'd had sex with her from the looks of it. Maybe the deep sleep had somewhat made him unaware of his surroundings, as it took his brain a few seconds to reboot and figure it out.
He smiled and pulled her closer to his naked body before his hand found her cheek "good morning, you little peaker," he said teasingly, referring to how she'd been looking at him while he'd been sleeping. He softly kissed her, as it said good morning in a bit of a different way, maybe even one he would prefer himself, more than having to say the words themselves. Words were after all rather boring, and actions spoke a lot louder "did you sleep well?" he asked running his hand down her back and down to her hip.
