It had been a moment since she had even left Grounds of Lily, but she was also reminded that she couldn't stay hidden forever. And so, after the news Selene had told Yesterday, so it had also made Victoria want to get out again, get back to life. So, she had called Kailani about getting back to work - well she hadn't really spoken to Jack since or anyone for that matter. But she had been half way there when she had gotten a message to meet Linus at another location, which she hadn't really thought twice about before making a turn, leaning her shoulder against a lamppost for a second while waiting, letting herself fall a little back and grabbing onto the cold metal with her hand, spinning around  to let go in the direction of where she now caught his scent. Letting her lips pull up into a smile, "I was just about to meet up with Kai and the others, but I guess they can wait a little," she took a few steps closer towards Linus, well she didn't know about him knowing she had died, or for matter that Anthony was dead, not yet anyways.

Kailani had texted him that Victoria would be coming into work. Now that wouldn’t do, at least not until she had gotten all the great news and seen what was happening in Southside. But before he had been able to call her himself, his attention had been divided between that, and people needed him to make some decisions on the spot. Who would have thought that taking over an entire area of a city would bring so much extra work?
Thinking he had might missed her, he decided to drive to the Casino, only to pass her on the way there. With a smirk on his lips, he parked the car quickly and texted her that she shouldn’t move and that he would be there in a second. Getting out of the vehicle, he corrected the leather jacket that he was wearing and then locked the car before walking toward her.
A smirk formed on his lips as she greeted him, which earned her a cheeky wink as he came closer. “I know, but rules are when you finally got out of your slump, I would be the first to steal you away, so” he nodded towards the car “are you coming?” he asked, licking his lips before turning around and not really giving her a choice in the matter.  

Victoria couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, "is that what is going on here? Adding a little mystery to it are we?" She narrowed her eyes a little but kept moving in the direction he nodded towards as he headed that way. Victoria was a curious creature all together, and one could call it having good intuition, she truly felt like something rather intriguing was waiting - but maybe it was just that aura Linus carried, making you know something was waiting, and you had no idea what it was. "I wouldn't miss out on what ever you are cooking up," she let out a small chuckle snaking her arm around his to keep better up, as they got over to the car, and first let go again to get in. Victoria turned her head towards him, "so, where are we going?" She wondered while trying to solve the mystery in her head, but there was just too many possibilities.

“Oooh, you know how I love a good mystery”, Linus chuckled, placing a hand on hers as she snaked her arm through his. “Good, so fewer questions and more walking”, he said as he walked towards one of the many cars they had found that night; putting them to good use was the only way of honouring the dead, or something like that.
Linus shook his head as she asked where they were going. “That is a question, and I said fewer questions, which I’m now adding a no questions,” he laughed before opening the door for the front seat and guiding her to sit down. “All right, princess, let’s go”, he said with a wink before quickly getting over to the other side and placing himself behind the driver’s seat. “Ready?” he asked, not that he cared if she was strapped in or not, as he started the car and moved into the traffic. Now he knew that she would guess something was up when they would get the southside border. But for now, Linus wanted to keep the mystery going mainly because it was such a big announcement that it at least deserved some intrigue.

"Alright alright," she chuckled a little low, knowing just what car he was headed towards by recalling their findings that night. "So, no questions - noted," Victoria mused a little as he opened the door for her, so she could get inside the car, and so she did, letting her eyes look over the car in wonder. Because well for one it was in much better shape than when they had found it all abandoned, and in way better hands now if you asked Victoria. Keeping her eyes on him as he sat in on the other side, she put her seatbelt on nodded, "bring it on," she mused and narrowed her eyes a little bit, excited about what he was going to show her. Then they started driving off, heading deeper towards the city and her eyes moved from Linus towards the windows as they passed all the houses. "You've been good to her," she stated looking back at the car.

Then noticing a turn she knew very well. Because well, Victoria knew all the roads to Southside by heart. But no, they couldn't be headed to Southside, that would be the most insane thing, and new powers or not, it wasn't like she felt anything but boiling anger towards Anthony and knew she would lose control over her powers if she faced him again. Then, maybe Linus had gotten a new deal of some sort they needed to check out? It was clear to see Victoria's brain worked hard on figuring out why they took the road towards the city she otherwise no longer was allowed to call home. But she enjoyed it, being out and about just driving somewhere, feeling the freedom grab onto her again. "You got a new gig or something?" She wondered turning her head towards him again, knowing he had said no questions, but she asked anyways, well if there was anyone whom she felt safe to drive to Southside with while Anthony was around and breathing it would be Linus.

“Of course, I have”, he hummed; a car like this needed to be treasured and not end up in a garage as it had been before. All those rich people were hoarding things that should be out on the road, admired by everyone that it drove past.
Now he had expected that she would mention something when it was clear that they were driving towards Southside, but when she didn’t, he kept his lips slightly pressed together. He let his eyes look towards her for a moment when she asked if he had gotten a new gig; “Or something”, he said with a smirk on his lips. “You’ll see soon enough, but you don’t have to worry”, he mused, letting his hand rise and poked her against her temple. “Just relax, enjoy the ride and be ready to be amazed”, he chuckled.

It didn’t take long before they finally could drive to the south serpents’ headquarters. After killing the engine, he walked over to her side and opened the door, hanging on its edge, looking down at her. “Ready to come back home?” he asked with a soft smile before he reached down his hand to take hers and walk with her inside. Knowing that there might be some trauma behind entering a bar where you had been kept hostage. “Don’t worry, Anthony is dead”, he announced the moment they opened the door and the old crew was back, and all of those that had come with Anthony was gone.

Victoria narrowed her eyes a little still with that curious smile on her lips, letting a light chucks leave her as he poked her temple. Then just simply, sitting back and enjoying the ride.

Entering Southside had her take a deeper breath in, feeling a bit of uncertainty rise. They drove right up to the old headquarters, making her frown a little bit more as Linus killed the engine and stepped out of the car just as she split her lips to say something, or at least attempt. Victoria turned in her seat to look up at Linus as he opened the door and looked into her eyes; Ready to come back home? Victoria looked confused for a moment, then he reached his hand towards her. She took a deeper breath in then taking it and got out of the car. Walking inside, her legs almost refused to follow but she did anyways.

Anthony is dead, the door opened and she barely got a chance to reply how or what had happened before the familiarity just hit her. “ This is … this is incredible, how did you?” She wondered, leaning her head against his arm while her eyes wondered around. Anthony was dead. When had he even died and what had happened? Victoria couldn’t help anything but smile feeling so content. Francis gave her a small wave from the corner with a little nod, making her chuckle a bit.

Victoria moved her head a little bit back to herself then headed towards the bar area, still not taking her hand out of Linus’ more just dragging him along, first then letting go let her hands run over the counter taking the surroundings in. Because this was home. And she had missed it so incredibly much.

He couldn’t help but let out a laugh as it clearly took her by surprise. In a way, he was amazed that it had even managed to fly under her radar even if she had been staying at someone else's house while trying to recover from that night. “He kicked the bucket the night – well, you know” he gave her a more understanding smile as he walked behind the bar and made her a whiskey on the rocks. “But just so you are warned, Orion is running around in his skinsuit now, just – so you don’t fry him or anything” he lifted the hand which had the bottle in it. “Even though it was really hilarious when it happened”, well, okay, maybe that hadn’t been the best way to phrase it, but it had been funny that.
He licked his lips and pushed the glass towards her, and then poured himself one. “So, it goes without saying that you are welcome to come back and work at the bar anytime, but I don’t want to step on River’s toes since he was the one that actually got us together and made this happen – never mess with River’s crew,” he said giving her a wink again before taking a sip from the glass, he breathed and looked up as Elena, or Eris whatever her name was stepped into the bar. “I heard a little bird sing about that Victoria was out and about again,” she said with a warm voice; then she looked towards Francis, winking at him and giving him a small salute before walking towards the bar. “Whiskey, neat, thank you”, she said with a soft voice, and Linus nodded. “Coming right up”, he answered, and Atarah turned her gaze towards Victoria. “How are you love?” she asked; having heard what had happened, she had felt like she needed to show her support at least. Having known a thing or two about how losing someone you loved were.

... - well, you know, her eyes moved towards his, raising her brows a little bit. Perhaps it had been for her own sake that people had spoken nothing about the matter till she had been well ready to get going, not rushing the process of the healing she had done. Then her eyes followed him as he walked behind the bar, "you didn't," She chuckled, but understood just what he meant. Then he mentioned that Orion now was walking around looking like Anthony, seemed like the whole crew had been busy that night it so seemed. Crazy how fast words travelled, she would never have imagined that was how the world had spun around, even so she felt the weight lift off her shoulders knowing that Anthony had gotten just what he had deserved. "I bet you have to tell me that story some time," she licked her lips a little confused, yet curious about how that had happened, or well perhaps Orion would tell her himself, seeing she could quickly theorize that he liked his version of it better than the one Linus would swing out.

Victoria reached out for the glass letting her fingers grab around it, still keeping her big brown eyes towards him. Raising her brow just a little bit more, intrigued, "I would never step on River's toes on purpose, even so I reckon Kai is the one who would be the most upset, but - this is my home, there isn't really much else to say," she replied with a small nod, then taking a sip with her drink. Then catching the scent of Eric by the second, turning towards her as she then placed her glass on the counter. Following her eyes towards where Eris looked at Francis that waved back at Eris, then looking back at Eris again. Victoria chuckled a little, looking shortly as Linus started getting Eris the drink she wanted, "what no bottle?" She teased a little, knowing how many times in the past they had just sat down and shared a entire bottle or a few. "I'm getting there, getting back here sure is the power move, now I just need to figure out where I'm staying," she took another sip of her drink. "But I'm happy too see you here," Victoria confessed knowing that they had been having their ups and downs.

Atarah clicked her tongue when Victoria asked if she wasn’t getting a bottle. “To be fair, I’m a responsible adult now, taking care of two children and those that are my own” she smiled towards Victoria, then nodded. “It’s good to be here, in much better conditions than the last few times” even though she had lived with Jack in the apartment, the chilliness between them had never really gone away, at least not as it had now.
“Any news on the paintings?” Linus asked, and Atarah nodded. “That is why I’m here,” she said with a smile pulling out two envelopes and handing one to Linus and the other to Victoria. Now it wasn’t because Linus hadn’t heard that Victoria needed a place to stay, but that was a surprise that could happen a little while later; right now, he could feel that there was a need to sit and just talk like ordinary people. Hear how it was going, all that mundane crap he had never been very good at. But that didn’t mean he didn’t understand the need for it.

Victoria chuckled a little bit, "oh well - another time then," giving her a small wink. "Tell me about it, you've done wonders to the place," her eyes once again wondered around landing on Linus for the second, so he knew she was complimenting Francis and his work, taking another sip from the glass. "Its a lot warmer," she moved her eyes towards Linus for a second, just in time for him asking about the paintings. Then moving her head rather quickly towards where Eris was again, to hear her saying it was the reason why she was there. "Sweet," she took the envelope when handed to her, looking towards Linus, "seems like we did make a good team huh?" Victoria teased a little with a small chuckle.

"Now if it isn't miss Fogerty back right where she belongs," Landon almost bowed then walking towards the bar with a light chuckle, Victoria reached her arm out letting Landon walk over and get a hug. Her inside person whenever Cyrus felt to dangerous to get information from, well Landon had always been there for her to help with whatever, they also had known each other since they were children and he had stayed right here. Unlike his sister. Victoria knew she could count on Landon always. "Good to see you again," she let go of Landon who then looked towards Linus then Eris, "not that I will keep distracting you from these very important people you are speaking to, but its good to see you Vic," he then gave her a small nod before walking backwards back to the crowd of Serpents drinking, spinning around before she almost couldn't see him again. It was nice, seeing some things hadn't changed. Which just reminded her of Pearl, lucky for her, she hadn't showed her face. And by the means she was mostly hiding, because Victoria couldn't imagine Linus nor Francis really allowing her here, and that was just by simple first impression.

He couldn’t resist winking at her when she told him that it was warmer. “Comes natural to us,” he said with a smirk; given the brothers were known as the phoenix brothers, it would be weird if they didn’t at least have the warmth in their headquarters as this would end up being. He licked his lips and turned his gaze towards Landon as he came closer to greet the newcomers, or in both cases, it was old faces that had returned.
Atarah gave Landon a slight smile; it wasn’t like the hatched was buried by all the serpents even after Jack had taken her back. Then there had been the whole mess where she had to tell him that she had to leave because her heart was somewhere else. Breaking him all over, but from what she had gathered, he had finally found a girl that would be much better for him than she would ever be.
“We are indeed very important”, he saluted Landon as he walked away from them. Linus turned towards the two girls sitting in front of them. “To making Southside shine again” he raised his glass in a toast and Atarah just as well. Then she placed her hand on the bar. “Well, I would say that was my queue to go; please remember what we talked about,” she said to Linus before letting her hand find Victoria’s shoulder and giving it a slight squeeze. “Don’t be a stranger, Victoria; my door is always open, as is my phone”, she said before she walked out the way she had come from.
“Well then”, Linus chuckled, knocking back his whiskey “ready for your next stop?” he asked with a mysterious smile.

Victoria raised her glass, "to making Southside shine again," she then downed the remains of her drink, looking towards Eris as she placed the empty glass down, who said it was her que to go. Victoria let out a small sigh, really hoping she would have stayed. But Victoria also respected the fact that Eris had an entirely different life now, they all had. "We will see each other before you know it," she nodded a little with a small chuckle, giving Eris a warm smile as Eris turned to walk out the door.

Then Linus chuckled, making her turn her head back towards him, narrowing her eyes a little bit, "the next stop?" Victoria kept her eyes narrowed a little bit, clearly trying to figure out what he meant by it. "Is there a next stop?" She licked her lips a little bit while raising her eyebrows, her head tilted a little bit to the side. "Well, how can I possibly resist?" Then getting up from her seat to follow Linus where ever he might be headed.

He nodded when she repeated his words “Made our little demon friend scarce before this step; besides I don’t think Francis could have handled her being her much longer before he would have fallen off the chair because he didn’t watch where he is looking” he mocked his brother “I’m just happy that Jack and she aren’t together now, or Francis would have an even better time at trying to turn that pretty little head of hers” he thought out loud before he drowned the drink and then waved her to follow along.

As he walked outside again, he found his pack of smokes and put one between his lips. “Now the big question is, do you want to walk? Or do you want to take the car on foot? It's twelve minutes by car, slightly less,” he chuckled, looking at her with a soft smile, letting her decide whether she wanted to spend the day outside since it was rather lovely. Or spend more time cruising around in the beautiful car they had stolen together.

Victoria chuckled a little looking over at Francis for a second, well she did remember how entertaining it had been for him to taunt Jack for the sake of just tormenting him - Jack had been rather easy to annoy back then, still was depending who was trying to. "I don't doubt it," she replied back before following him as he waved her along with him. "Jack and Francis battling over all the blondes in this world," she shook her head a little with just making a joke of it, because well she had found it fun how Jack always seemed to find himself with a beautiful blonde by his side. Walking out the door she was hit with the lovely slightly crisp air, but nothing compared to the coldness of winter, important factor to add was how the cold didn't even dare reach her, while standing close to Linus.

But she loved seeing how the trees had started to bloom, and the scenery was getting greener - even if it was getting dark, she could still imagine it and it wasn't like the scent of spring really did go anywhere. "Let's walk - it's a lovely evening, and it feels like ages," she closed her eyes for a second and just took a deeper breath in. Even the smell of smoke from the cigarette was a round scent that reminded her how this entire place just was home. Perhaps it was the animal in her as well wanting nothing more than to sprint off and make sure that the territory was actually theirs. But a run or a simple trip across the sky could wait till later. "You've been busy, Francis too - I'm just happy to see Southside in better hands," she confessed with a light chuckle and started following him in whatever direction he was going. "Tell me again, how did Orion end up looking like Anthony? I'm just curious, and you said it was a good story - sort of," Victoria wondered and looked over at Linus, perhaps also just curious what else actually had happened that night. It wasn't really a normal phenomena to have someone body snatch the enemy or whatever had happened.  

“Well, that is a tv-show right there!” he laughed and shook his head a little, “We could earn a mint or two on that idea” he chuckled and then nodded when she mentioned that they could walk. She was right. It was a lovely evening, and now that Anthony wasn’t raising havoc in the streets and people had gotten corners and streets where they could deal, things had become more organised, with also resulted in less muggins and general street disturbance, which would also mean that the police would stay off their street. It was basic math if you just understood the environment that you stayed in.
“We are trying”, he said and looked around, seeing how workers had already started on the renovation “if we want to get the cops to stay out of our city, we need to show that we can control it, then they are more likely to turn a blind eye to it, besides we now own the building that they have here in southside, so it makes – well, it makes things a little easier,” he said with a smirk, knowing that you couldn’t always evade the law, sometimes it meant that some of the gang members needed to take the fall every now and again.
“Well, as we came to the southside, Orion stayed outside to make sure nothing would surprise us; sadly for him, an archangel took the opportunity to kill him because he actually looked like him – sadly for Orion, it happened while I strangled Anthony to death, so, yes, no more Anthony and with Orion’s ability he soul jumped straight into his corpse” he explained knowing it might be a lot to take in. Still, there was no easy way to clarify if he was being honest.

She could assume Anthony had gotten the police's attention, after all Jack had been at the police station cutting his deal off with the police, every station had their fair share off corrupt officers. It was just a matter of finding them, which made her feel like she was playing both side at that point, she happen to know few people who was in the police that she liked, otherwise the others could just fuck off really. And even if he said they needed to show they could control it, it wasn't like the police would like to hear about The Phoenix Brothers having taken over a city, it smelled like trouble. But she also did know most police actually wouldn't dare to try cross them or go in their way. Victoria also knew there were a fine balance, which was how the Serpent had worked so well back in the day, before Anthony had come around trying to change things. After Lodge had been removed and all. There had been a small amount of glory.

Victoria then listened to the story about what had happened to Orion, and she appreciated none of the details really were hidden about the encounter. She had known a little about the archangels, not that she had met anyone of them really, but she did happen to know that Lucas' girlfriend Cecilia had shared one too many encounters with them, because she really just remembered Lucas complaining about them. One sentence made her turn her head towards him, once she replayed it in her head, while I strangled Anthony to death. "You killed Anthony?" Not that she needed the confirmation to know it to be true, beforehand she had just thought it was because of the crew working together, not that Linus had actually been the one to take Anthony's final breath away. A picture in her mind that she did not mind having. "It's amazing to be back, so thank you," she turned her head once again to look at Linus, "for taking him out and bringing me back here."

He nodded when she asked if he had been the one to kill Anthony. He wasn’t trying to hide the fact that he had taken a life, it hadn’t been the first time, and it wouldn’t be his last either.
Linus then let a chuckle escape his lips when she told him that it was amazing to be back. “Well, you are welcome, darling; it’s not every day I can walk around saying that I, for once, were the hero in someone’s story and not the villain,” he said with a slight smirk forming over his lips. He let a soft hum leave him when she added the part where she was both grateful for the fact that he had killed Anthony but also because he had gotten her back.
“Sometimes we don’t choose where our home is, and when that is taken away from us, it is like we lose a piece of ourselves, so of course, we had to bring you back”, he said with a more uplifting tone, as this wasn’t some pity party he was throwing after all.

Victoria couldn't help but chuckle a little bit, "well it's my pleasure then to give you the opportunity," even if she didn't believe in the spectrum that was called someone to be called good or evil - heroes and villains. Everyone was capable of cruelty just like everyone on some level was capable of doing good - even when you had to look a lot more carefully to find it. What she believed in on the other hand was the next thing he said, that it felt like losing a piece of oneself to be ripped from your home. "Well for that thought, I am like I said grateful," she took a deeper breath in, grabbing her hand around a lamppost and swung herself around it for a second then keeping up with Linus again, bouncing a little bit ahead. Feeling ecstatic about everything that was happening tonight, for things to turn this way around was not how she had planned the night, when she had discussed getting back to reality with Selene Yesterday.  

A smile blossomed over his lips as he saw how she skipped down the street, grabbed a lamppost and spun around before catching up to him again. She hadn’t even needed to tell him that she was happy to be back; he could see it in the way she smiled, how that slight wrinkle by her eye came through. He shook his head a little when he realised that he had been staring.

Now it didn’t take long before they finally entered the trailer park; for a moment, he stood there and had no idea where he needed to go. Where the hell had Elena, put it, or Eris, or whatever her name was now.
Then he picked out his phone, and a message came through while they had been walking.


He shook his head and then turned on the video app on his phone before turning “this way!” he pointed, in a way to make her go first. “Just a little further, and, there”, he pointed at the trailer, and as she would turn, he held the phone up to capture her reaction before handing her keys. “So, what are you waiting for? Go inside and check it out”, he laughed, waving the keys around a little.

They entered the trailer park. It knocked air out of her for a second, because the last time she had been here, it was because Rafael finally despite arguments and arguments had convinced her to pack her bags and leave the place. She had always slightly had her theories on whether the trailer exploded on its own or he did have a finger in play - thought put aside, it was odd to be back here. Victoria moved a few steps further, just to take a look where her former trailer once had been parked, what was this some weird memory sight? Not that she minded the trip, she perhaps for a moment just was a bit confused, till she heard the sound of Linus getting a message.

Now, she had no idea who was texting him, it could as well be Francis wanting to put a point across or a message about something he might have been waiting on. But she quickly realized he needed to show her something, so Victoria spun around on her heels and then headed in the spoke direction. Then she stopped looking at a trailer, a bit confused before he then held the keys of for her. Looking shortly at the phone he held up, but forgot all about that with the next words spoken. Go inside and check it out, "you serious? Wha - oh my god," she walked up to unlock the trailer, looking shortly back at Linus almost in the need to be completely sure, but then just walked in and turned on the lights.

The warmth spreading from her chest and just the feeling of being able to completely breath. It was remarkable. "If you are telling me now that this is a joke, and really is your place - I will punch you," she pointed out, not wanting to hope for too much, and yet - her gut feeling told her that this was really hers. Completely lost for words she just stood there for a moment in the entrance before she actually got moving around taking everything in.

Eris had been right, her reaction was priceless, and now he had managed to get her response immortalised by the use of technology. It never ceased to amaze him just how far humanity had come since he had been born. He nodded when she asked if he was serious and followed as she took the keys and walked over to unlock the door, he couldn’t help the soft smile spreading over his lips as she took it all in. It wasn’t often that Linus did something for others and expected nothing in return. One could argue that he hadn’t been the whole reason that she had gotten this; Eris had played a massive part in the matter but didn’t want the credit, which Linus would gladly take. “Yeah, it’s actually mine”, he joked, already flinching for the incoming punch. “No, it is yours, if you want it, " he said before ending the video and putting his phone into his back pocket. Following along, he started to point out the different things she could see and why they were there.

Victoria made a grimace when he joked it was his place, not that her punch became much more than just a little push against his chest, while shaking her head. "I want it," she exhaled, there was really no doubt about that. She had dreamt about coming back here, getting her life back in order - how it was meant to be. "It's amazing," Victoria exhaled looking around as he pointed towards some of the different things, looking further around. Then she turned towards him, and allowed herself to fold her arms around him, giving him a hug of gratitude. Also allowing herself to take in the warmth that always was around him. Victoria took a deeper breath in, she couldn't really believe it. She was home. She was finally back home. A part of her waited to see if she was going to wake up of this more dream like reality, but it was reality. It was real.

A laugh left him as she pushed him against his chest and died as she told him that she wanted it. A soft smile formed on his lips instead, and with folded arms, he leaned against the front door, watching how she took it in, and in a way, it was rather heartwarming, which was also something that scared him. He had only ever been in one serious relationship with one woman. A woman that he had lost. Since then he hadn’t spent more than one night with a woman, which meant that this was already extending much farther than any relationship he had had with a woman. But he pushed the feeling away, telling himself that this was a friendship, nothing more, nothing less. Besides she needed to find out who she was after that whole thing with Rafael.
“Well then, then my work is done, and welcome home” he laughed winking at her “maybe I should get you back to Kai and all of them” he said with a smaller smile.

Victoria looked into his eyes walking closer towards him, then crossing her arms a little loose and more relaxed. "Thank you," she gave him a warmer smile followed by a light chuckle. "Maybe, or maybe I will just stay here - savoring the moment you know?" After all she had been living in Cassian and Daisy's guest room for two weeks now, maybe it was a good thing just sitting taking it all in by herself. Letting her mind settle and reflect on what had just happen rather than having to get back to the city with all the impressions. Then again a few good hours wouldn't hurt, and she had to tell River that she was highly interested in getting back here. "On the other note, can't have them expecting me and suddenly not show up.
