Bernice was really happy! After a year and a half of hospitalization at the anorexia ward, she was finally able to get home after recovering from her weight and had managed to hold it for 4 months! The ward she had been admitted to was a closed ward for those who were most critical and those who were so badly affected that they had to be kept in intensive care as Bernice needed. Bernice didn't know how many times they'd had to force her to give her probe for the first few months, but it was over now! She was free and, on the way to going home! The only challenge she would get was that she would be followed very closely over the next six months, to see if she could keep it and would not fell back right away.

However, she didn't care right now! It was Christmas soon and she was going home for Christmas with her mother and sister! She knew it was Lauren who was going to pick her up, which was probably what she was looking forward to the most! Even though she had seen her sister, she just missed her so much! Bernice had written a little with Lauren during the morning and she had to bring her boyfriend with her, which could only be nice!

Bernice had spent all morning packing up her things, her small room had been made aware that the Bernice who "lived" there, it helped that she could better hold on to her treatment because then she just felt a little more at home. The two large suitcases she had brought with her were packed but almost empty. All her clothes she'd brought with her when she came in, she could no longer fit sadly. She missed it because she looked great in it and looked like a model, even though she wasn't agreed with the weight and it had to get more down. Bernice had to get rid of all the clothes had been a requirement of her mother and for her therapist that it would help so she wouldn’t fall back in.

With her legs in a tailoring position, she sat on the bed waiting for Lauren to come into the door because she wouldn't be allowed to go out until she came and when the door was locked it was hard to get out by herself. All the papers she was supposed to bring home, her mother had brought along at the last big meeting, however, her medication was packed in boxes which she would be handed when she was picked up, even though she had no plans to take it when she got home. "Lauren came now! I want to go home! " she muttered to her mobile as she had written a message to Lauren about when they would be there because Bernice was impatient.

Why did it just seem like time was puts in slow motion? Bernice had looked at her mobile several times and although it felt like ages since she looked at it last, only a minute or two minutes had passed! She was impatient because she just wanted to go home! She just wanted to see her sister! Bernice sincerely hoped that Lauren would be proud of her, that she had managed the treatment in a year and a half even though they had shot it to take over 2 years!

Bernice still had the probe sitting there, it had been part of her treatment right from day one and would not be removed until she was picked up, that was the agreement with her mother and her therapist because if she knew signs of back fall up to the discharge, she would not be discharged. At first, they had talked about the fact that she would not have it removed until 14 days after she had returned home. After all, she had to prove that she did not get a back fall. After all, it could sit for 14 days without anything happening when it was not used daily because it was also washed through. But Bernice had refused because she didn't want it on when she was going home and she was on the weight they said she had to be on to get home, so she couldn't understand why they had changed the day before her discharge. Bernice will first know if it will be removed when Lauren will come to pick her up.

The sound of steps in the hallway could be heard and Bernice did not doubt that it was Lauren who had come to pick her up and rightly it was Lauren! The door that went up and Lauren who came into her room made her jump out of bed and almost sprint to her, "Lauren!" she almost cried with tears of joy in her eyes as she put her arms around her. "I've missed you so much! I'm going home! Really! Today!" it came from her with joy and life in her voice.

Bernice's contact came into the room a little after Lauren to present Bernice with a diploma and a small gift that everyone got when they were discharged. "Nice to see you're so happy and ready to come home" she said happily before putting a hand on Bernice's shoulders. "I've been talking to the doctor and your mom on the phone, you were on the scales this morning and since you were on the scales last, you've lost 1 kilo, it's okay there's been a lot of things in the last several days and we don't think you're not going to be allowed to come home, because you do. But that means your probe has to stay in for 14 days, as was said at the meeting with your mother. I will come and visit you every other day for the next 14 days. I believe in you Bernice, but we need to make sure you make it" she said and looked at her with a gentle and loving gaze. Bernice took it completely and pulls away from Lauren, she just stared straight into the air. She wonders if they had noticed she had been training a little in the room for some days. It wasn't for losing the weight she had trained but to look better! "I just want to go home now, thank you" She said and accepted the gift, without looking at her contact. "You can go home now; we're not holding you any longer now" She laughed a little bit about it.
