She had run from Aston all the way to Grounds of Lily. It was too far for any sane person to run; even vampires would think twice, even though it would be easier for them with the speed they could reach when they were purebloods. Blair, however, hadn’t really been thinking, it was like the fright had just completely taken over her mind, and the further away from the demon she had gotten, the more she realised how much in danger she had been, even if he had tried to play the nice guy after, it hadn’t been sold to her even less so when he had kissed her jaw, almost sitting there waiting for her to act on it. Probably thought she would be flattered or wanted to engage in something more. But that was when the panic had suddenly been too much for her, and her magic had flared up, completely taking control of her and making her throw him out his window. It had been too much, far too much, but she had been so angry with him. To think he believed he could just do whatever he wanted, and there be no consequences. She also knew that it meant she had now made an enemy. But all of that would be something that had to wait. She just needed to get home, despite the throbbing sides and the staggering breath that left the well-known irony taste on her tongue. She pushed herself a little further.

Finally, she reached the mansion that Damian had given Malcome to make his own now that he wanted the pack to be there. She opened the door, and that was when her legs gave up underneath her. With a sigh, she glided down the closed door and closed her eyes. “Fuck”, she whispered to herself, too tired to pick up if there was anyone in the mansion right now.

Outfit

Malcome had been at the mansion he had gotten from Damian. He was just moving around, making sure everyone was situated. The last from the pack had arrived not long ago. When that was done, he had shown the new arrivals around and had a training session with the young wolves, who were still new to the transformations. He knew, he would not be able to make their first transformations less painful, but he could help them control their mentality as well as possible. He felt it was his responsibility as the alpha. He needed to make it as easy as possible for all the members. He was sitting in the study with some of the older members, just having a drink and sharing stories. The mood was nice and nostalgic. Then they went to bed as well, and Malcome was left alone. He would have found his own bed by now, but Blair was not back. She was as free to move around as anyone else, but she also held a special place in his heart. She was not a wolf, which made him even more protective of her. He knew, she was more than capable of protecting herself, but it was hard to turn off. Maybe it was because of how they had first met. Not everyone had been in favor of him taking in a witch, and he knew certain members of his family wouldn’t be either, but it was his choice. She was a good friend, and he wouldn’t abandon her now.

He heard commotion by the front door, so he of course went there. He moved to Blair, who didn’t seem to be in the best state. Her clothes and bag surely wasn’t. He kneeled down on one knee and put a hand on the side of her shoulder. ”What happened?” Even if he had some trouble showing concern at times, his pack got to see that side of him more than anyone else.

For a moment, it was like the fatigue she was feeling was completely taking over her body. As if she could just fall asleep there, and it would be the best thing that had happened the entire day. But she couldn’t sleep in the hall; what wouldn’t the pack members think? No, she needed to get up. Get up and go to her room. Alas, even though her thoughts were screaming at her at this point, she didn’t move an inch. She thought for a brief second that this would be how boats would feel like—weighed down by an anchor. Unable to move with the current, begging the ship to follow along on the stream.
Then a hand found her shoulder, and her deep brown eyes connected with Malcome’s “nothing grand”, she said, letting a true smile form over her lips—he was one of the few she had ever shown her smile, how the dimples formed in her cheeks. A feature she had loathed ever since she had been able to see it herself.
“Might have ended up throwing a blood demon out a window”, she finally confessed and closed her eyes as a sigh left her; at least she was safe now. “To be fair, he tried to get my attention by blowing up a table where I was sitting and then threw me over his shoulder when he wanted me to fix his back where all the splinters were lodged in his skin”, she explained further, feeling that a—yeah I threw a blood demon out the window, would be explanation enough.
