It had been way too long. Of course, they had their small meetings, but it had been way too long since he had sought to her. Visited her or picked her up. So, now he had chosen to go all the way. He had taken Nathalie’s ring so he could walk freely. He had been out plucking fresh cherries in a plantation and bought whole coffee beans so they could brew some coffee. He also had a bag over his shoulder where there were some bought cake and canned whipped cream. Now, he could have been baking the cake and whipping the cream at home, but he didn’t want Nathalie to be crawling over him, thinking it was either for her or to snoop into his business. This was easier.

He could feel and smell that her dad was at home. It was never really that easy with him, but nevertheless, he knocked on the door. It didn’t take long before the territorial beta opened and looked somewhat displeased. He squinted his eyes a little before he closed the door. “It’s for you Elena!” Griffin could hear him call.

Things had only been slightly insane around here. Her mother was in town, but unable to track her, Elena felt the paranoia return to her not knowing when she would show her face again. So, once again Elena had isolated herself inside the house. Her main company being her father, Danica and Derek. Then Flora visited time to time, but mainly she stayed here. In her own little bobble of protection knowing it wasn't the smartest idea for her mental health, but right now it was the only thing she thought about doing. Protecting herself. So terrified of dying again.

She was sitting in her room reading a book, the third book this week, when she put it down as her father called for her. Someone had knocked on the door. Elena got up from her bed and put the book on the bed table, then heading through the house and towards the front door. "Griffin," she said almost surprised to see him, but the smile that followed on her lips was bright and showed just how happy she was to see his face.
