I'm Here

It wasn’t really because Oscar wanted to play in a casino nor waste all of his money to his son’s business. But he wanted a specific blood drink, and he knew that his son usually had it available at his other casinos, so why not in this new place he had opened?
He was dressed in a long black coat with a finer shirt underneath. He had already killed a handful on his way there, who had accidentally bumped into him. Even when he had entered the casino he had made sure a few people continued to walk until they got hit by a car, and other had gotten their neck snapped if they had looked a little too long at him in an odd way. He sat down by the bar, and as soon as he got contact to a bartender, he wished for the blood chart and ordered one of them.

Kailani narrowed her eyes a little bit while watching the older vampire sit down by the bar, and she walked over to listen to what ever he wanted. Just few nights ago had been all sorts of crazy. So, why was Oscar here in River's casino? Out of all places. Either way she didn't really keep him waiting, because the last thing she wanted was for a greater mess to unfold. So, she just got him his order and placed it in front of him. "So, what brings you here tonight?" The siren wondered and pressed her brows just a little bit together.

River had smelled his father the second he stepped in here. "You got to be kidding me," he cursed to himself as he headed out towards the door. One thing he had always wanted, for his family to just leave him alone. He had moved cross countries, and yet they seemed to find him, like annoying little bugs you couldn't get rid off. Trying to come here and suddenly be one big happy family? Who were they kidding? But no way he was going to let his father ruin this night. So, he walked out the door from his office and down the stairs seeing him in the bar, speaking to Kailani, now that was just not going to happen. So, he walked up with the speed of light next to Kailani and looked at his father. Something was off. Different. He couldn't really tell, then it hit him. Making River chuckle a little bit. "Oh what do we have here, the big bad vampire Oscar Addams, flipping his humanity like oficial oficial, add it to the list of things I don't care about yet doesn't surprise me."

The siren was quick to serve him. Good idea, because Oscar was not the one to be patient. He received his drink and almost immediately took a sip from the dark red drink, closing his eyes. He sighed, almost in relief. He opened his eyes as the siren spoke to him. “This drink,” he said, quite honestly. “You might want to keep them coming,” he said, licking a few drops of his lips, but just as he had said that his oldest son stood next to the siren. Oscar’s face was quite stoic as his son talked to him. “Do you have anything relevant to say?” he said when River finally seemed to be done blabbering.

Kailani nodded a little without really saying much, other than giving the ancient vampire a little nod with a smal firm smile. Then River started being his classic self, making her chuckle a little bit dry, but didn't comment. River chuckled a little bit by his father's comment before taking a few steps further towards the counter and placed the palm of his hands on it, and looked at the man he was supposed to know as his father. "Question is, are you worth having here at my casino?" He narrowed his eyes a little bit, before once again taking a step back. "Is the only thing you desire in this very moment just to drink? Or do you want to do something more fun?" He wondered folding his hands in front of him, while just keeping his eyes on Oscar.

Rebekah came downstairs not long after, simple magic could hide your scent from even the oldest of vampires, so it wasn't till she traced closer to the bar that she let her disguise vanish. "Oh come on boys, bet there are plenty things we can do," she walked towards Oscar licking her lips a little bit, didn't take more than seconds to know he had flipped the switch. She simply just walked all the way over to him and brushed some of his hair back looking at him. "It's been too long huh?"

Oscar noticed how his son was stepping closer, almost as if his son was picking up some kind of dominance. It was tiring to look at. He truly needed to be put into his place. “I think you’re forgetting something, River,” he said very calmly and took a sip, clearly not caring for his son’s temper. River carried the temper well, but nothing was more in the way than someone who thought they had something to say, and the said thing then being meaningless. Now, it may or may not be right, but as of right now, Oscar’s logic contained of the casino being River’s, River being Oscar’s, and thereby the casino being Oscar’s too. He noticed how his son took a step back. Incredible. Stepping back down. He looked up at his son’s eyes. Oscar’s eyes seemed much darker now that his emotions had been turned off. “This drink is enough for me as of now. Unless you got something valuable to say or do, I suggest that you get out of my sight,” he said actually warning his son, compared to what he had done to everyone else so far.

Oscar kept his gaze stone cold at River. Not even when the Queen of Moonlight Falls got close enough and let her disguise fall, did he look towards her, but he did listen. There was plenty of things they could do. That was so true, and Oscar wouldn’t mind letting the Queen know one of his plans soon enough. He felt her warm fingers brush some of his hair back. It made him look towards her, before his eyes glided up to meet her eyes. After all, he was sitting by the bar. “It’s been a while,” he agreed. “How long have you been here?” he wondered, knowing very well he would’ve spotted her a while ago if she hadn’t been in a disguise.

Rebekah chuckled a little bit. Not that she actually liked the fact that vampires turned their emotions off, just because they couldn't handle something or the world was too harsh on them, it was a move of weakness. So, as she gazed into Oscar's cold eyes she was filled with a sense of disappointment, not that it was expressed on her face. "Longer than you," she replied, "I was... talking with your son," she looked towards River shortly before looking for a brief second at the siren, then at Oscar again. "Why? Would you have been looking for me?" Rebekah asked a little teasing letting her eyes trace over his face, before moving her hand away from his hair. "You did of course call me, or at least try - so, what do you want?" She narrowed her eyes a little bit leaning her hip against the counter facing Oscar as her arms crossed a little bit, looking shortly over at the siren, for her to fetch her something to drink. River didn't say much, mostly because in some situations he did know better than to start talking, and observing could be more informative than actually trying to spark a conversation.

She had been there longer than he had. Well, he had only just been there for a moment, so it was a very vague reply, but he accepted it for now. He noticed how she almost hesitated with what she had been doing with her son, and he guessed that their mouths had been moving, but not for talking. “Yes, I was looking for you,” he replied and turned a little to face her completely. He hummed a little as she mentioned how he had tried to call her. “I was thinking about how small Athena is,” he said keeping his eyes on her. “And if I removed the royal piece of shit of Gaia, we could conquer more of England,” he suggested.

She licked her lips a little bit while tilting her head a little to the side. Now what was going on inside that stupid emotionless head of this? Clearly, without emotions he had nothing but plans that did just not make any sense. Everyone knew how Rebekah came and conquered the things she wanted, she did and took as it pleased her. And yet, she had respect for the alliances she had created over the years. Like the one she had made with Sebastian Mikaelson when they had thrown the Emerson family back into the ocean where they belonged. Rebekah looked slightly over at Kailani for a moment, because she was just lucky that River had parted her his side on this - otherwise it could have turned slightly different. Had she been disappointed by Alexander had taken over Gaia? Perhaps a little bit yeah, she couldn't deny that. But Sebastian Mikaelson still happened to be married to Alycia, Rebekah's forth child. And just like Bentley, Antionette and Amena - they were all still held under her protection, even if she sometimes if not very often should think about teaching her oldest daughter a lesson.

"We?" She pressed her brows a bit together and chuckled a little bit. "Oh dearie, you act like a boy who wants to get sweets at the candy store while his mother told him no," she replied with a more stoic expression. "You don't mess with the Mikaelson's even if they seem incompetente to you, they might be younger than you, but their bloodline comes down to one of the first of your kin as well. Besides, in this pathetic state of mind of yours, you are not even worthy of a crown," she replied bluntly. She kept her arms in cross looking at him, she observed him rather closely. A vampire without emotions was unpredictable, even if not driven by their emotions. They did what they wanted. "You should have kept that former kingdom of yours when you had the chance - but I don't work with this, come back when you have your emotions back on and actually are worth having a conversation with."

Oscar could almost see the wheels turned in the old pretty head. She was not going to agree with his idea and he started to let his head spin around other things that he could possess. The words the ancient witch let out was provoking, but without twisting anything at all, he could see the comparison. She really didn’t like the idea. She really did have her way with words but none of them got to him, so he simply took a sip of his drink, his eyes watching her for a moment. She reminded him of the former kingdom he had and cut the conversation. “I’ll take your word for that,” he said quite calmly. “Are you going to stand there looking like a feast, or was there anything else you wanted to talk about except my pointless phone call?” he said, letting his eyes shortly wander over her, before his eyes found hers again.

And he did only just confirm what she thought about the whole thing. Plain jane boring. If one didn't feel what was the point of anything really? Many did think of Rebekah as being without emotion or heart, to some it was a fair reason, but things such as ambition, drive that was driven from the core emotions, without those you were nothing. Just a shadow in the crowd filled with people far more interesting than yourself. "Oh, you want a drink is that it?" She chuckled a little, Rebekah knew he could drink her blood, it wasn't toxic to him. The thing was, they both knew she wouldn't let him well depending on the moment - right now, not so much, he hadn't really done anything to even earn the calories she burned talking to him. "As far as I see it, I was here first, so maybe you should go, come back once you are a bit more interesting - because right now all you do is waste my time," she raised her brow a little bit, knowing he didn't care. But there was a line from not caring to be stupid - she hoped he knew the difference.

Oscar scrunched his nose a little as she mentioned if he wanted a drink from her. No, that wasn’t really it. He had his drink right here which craved less action than biting into her. It was almost a little sweet that she believed that. But honestly, she just looked so sparkly and like someone, one would eat right up. That wasn’t necessarily a good thing. Besides from that, he knew that she wouldn’t just offer him blood.
Oscar mimicked the way she raised her brow as she said that she was there first. Was that the game they were playing now? Who was there first? He hated that game – but mostly when he knew he would lose such game. “I just want my drink,” he said and raised it a little before he looked towards the siren. He had after all told her to keep them coming. “Right now, I don’t need your time, your Majesty,” he said and took a small sip of the drink. “I just wondered if you had anything else on your heart,” he looked at her over the glass before he took another sip. It wasn’t because he specifically wanted her to leave or anyone else to leave, he just wanted to know if she wanted to talk about anything else, because of right now, he had nothing more to talk to her about, and simply wanted to enjoy his drink in peace if that wasn’t too much to ask for.

Rebekah chuckled a little, not really moving no matter his choice of words. At least not yet. "That is very thoughtful of you dearie," she replied back keeping her eyes at him for a moment then letting her brown eyes look out through the crowd.  This was turning way more boring than she had bargained for, and she really didn't want to waste her hours cleaning up a mess of dealing with another foolish emotionelless vampire who thought shutting everything off would end the crisis. So, here he was sitting at his son's bar getting drunk - or just having a drink really, but looking like something the cat had dragged in. Of course. He simply didn't care, so what was the point of even speaking to him? But it came down to the fact that Rebekah wasn't done being here, and she didn't want him there. So, what could one do? She looked shortly to River who gave her a short shrug. Because River had no idea on what to do with his emo teenager of a father right now. Family drama for one. Maybe he should just let Rebekah kill Oscar and be done with that? He did remember the message his mother had sent moments earlier before he had arrived.

And he had texted back while Oscar and Rebekah had talked that he was at the bar. "My mother is on her way for him," River informed looking towards Rebekah as well almost dismissing the fact that Oscar was actually there. Rebekah pulled a small grimace, "by all means, lets make it easier for her," she lifted her hand up and with one shift movement with it, she twisted Oscar's neck so it broke and he collapsed head first down the counter. With the same hand she opened one the windows, and then the little Oscar could take a small fly out of her sight before she would end up just making sure he wouldn't return ever. But for now, she believed he would be more useful when he got his emotions back on. "Can I borrow your phone?" She asked River. Before he gave it to her and Rebekah tabbed on Ilene's contact and put the phone to her ear. "Well hello love, it's been a while. Your pet toy is out in the back, taking a nap, seems like today really wore him out."

They hadn’t been driving for long before she had asked Aria to take the while so she could quickly text a message to her son, telling him what was going on. She still needed to get used to the fact that she was actually speaking with her children now.
Looking up she made sure that she didn’t drive anyone over, as he texted her back that he was already there. “Great” she murmured to herself, and gave Aria a soft smile, luckily they weren’t far from River’s casino, but before they could park the phone started ringing.
“Aetós speaking” she said, a bad habit from when she had been in the military. But when she heard Rebekah speaking, she couldn’t help her lips lift in a short smile. She hated so much of her life, mostly because she had done things that she would never do today, in a way that meant that Remy had been right. He couldn’t grant her salvation nor redemption. She had to earn that for herself, so in a way she should just let her life be what it had been and set a new course for herself. Something that she could be proud of. And when it came to Rebekah, they had never been as bad together as people would have thought. Because when it came down to it, they had almost mellowed each other out. Because suddenly there had been one that understood the other. A mutual understanding, that they both had needed at the time.
Letha groaned a little and then chuckled “Hello darling, thanks for cleaning up my mess, I’m there in a moment to make sure that your evening can return without any interruptions, River and you might want to meet me in the back too, since I’m covered in blood, not really appropriate for my sons fine establishment” she reassured her “be there in a jiffy” she hung up and turned the car to the back of the casino to pick up Oscar “Would you take care of Oscar, while I just have a quick chat with River and Rebekah?” she asked her daughter and as they stepped out of the car she walked over and placed her hand on the back of Aria’s head and gave her a soft kiss against her cheek. “One moment, won’t be long!” she assured her, before she walked inside and gave River and Rebekah a bright smile “Not the best look of mine I know, but well, he tried to crush all my bones and kill me, so, what can you do” she chuckled walking over to Rebekah and placed a soft kiss against her cheek, but without touching her so she wouldn’t get any blood on her. “You look stunning as ever, everything going well in Moonlight falls?” she asked, almost as if she hadn’t just been dying a few minutes earlier.

River could easily here what was said over the phone and got eye contact with Rebekah for a second. Now, compared to the other families Rebekah had found Ilene and River, and Oscar as well the most interesting. Well, they didn't mind getting their hands dirty in the way Rebekah did. "Alright then," she hummed a little, then hung up and handed River his phone again. Then, her and River left Kailani by the bar, who just let out a small sigh. Rebekah and River headed towards the back waiting for the arrival.

Rebekah turned her head slightly looking at Ilene as she walked in, she hadn't been joking about her torn and bloody look. Letting a chuckle leave the witch's lips, before Ilene walked towards placing a kiss against her cheek. "Oh you know, a country of magic never sleeps," Rebekah replied back taking Ilene in, then lifting her hand up with a gentle little movement to restore and clean Ilene up within seconds. "See now, I can see your beautiful face even better," Rebekah licked her lips a little bit. River just narrowed his eyes a little bit but stayed a bit back letting the ladies talk after all, wondering just what the story about them were.

Letha let out a soft breath of air, when she felt how her body felt lighter already. “Thank you” she said with a soft smile, knowing that it wasn’t a word that was strange to hear from Ilene to Rebekah. Not in the way it was, and still was in the ears of her children. Which was only sad to think about? Her fingers danced over her cheeks, and for a moment she closed her eyes feeling a wave of exhausting wash over her. She couldn’t stay long, she knew that. For a moment she thought about staying a little longer but thought against it.
“We should find a date, soon, to catch up” she decided to add instead. “Sit down and talk about what has happened since last we saw each other” the smile widened a little, letting her eyes rest at Rebekah, with a soft warm glow to the pale blue eyes. Then the eyes glided towards her son, and she gave him a warm if not soft smile. “Then you can also get back to having a good night, hopefully not to coloured by Oscar’s little stunt, and I’ll take him back making sure he wont cause any trouble for a while” she said, before turning her gaze back towards the high witch walking back, placing a lingering kiss against her cheek before taking a step back. Making ready to take her leave.

Rebekah licked her lips a little bit as Ilene mentioned they should find time to catch up, and the witch responded with a surprisingly soft nod. "I will look forward to do it," Rebekah replied letting her lips pull up into a little smirk. Then as the vampire looked towards River, so did Rebekah. And River took a sharper breath in, "shouldn't be to hard, done it most of my life," he reminded her not really paying much attention to if it came out as a little too harsh or not. He knew his mother was trying, he knew. But you didn't just forgive almost nine thousand years, because of a few weeks or was it months by now of good behavior. Then River took a few steps back and took his leave back to the bar. Leaving his mother to say goodbye to Rebekah. Rebekah looked towards Ilene as she had just placed her so ever soft lips against her cheek, then turning to walk away. Then Rebekah grabbed Ilene's wrist, and pulled her towards her. Their lips perhaps a bit closer than they should, the witch's eyes flickered shortly towards the vampire's, "don't let it be too long," Rebekah whispered, almost against Ilene's lips, then letting go of Ilene's wrist and took a step back, "see you soon my love." Then Rebekah took her turn around and walked back to where the party was.
