She hardly believed how she even walked, or even moved. Her naked skin felt so dry in the summer sun, even through the green leaves from the treetops showed from the warmth. It was the only charged energy she had left she walked on, the only thing pushing her to keep going, will power only made you go so far. Luna was unsure what had happened to the other girl, but self-preservation was needed in a case like this. The deep cuts down her legs, from her outer thigh down to her feet, almost invisible because of the blood that kept running over the skin. Luna massaged each her wrists as she kept walking, letting her eyes scan the forest area. The flesh ribbed up leaving red marks from the rope that had held her hands tied up while they had cut her tail, just to see how everything looked. Never had her rage and anger towards the humans been bigger, and she knew as soon as she just made it somewhere else - she would be fine, and then she could get her revenge. Her upper body didn't have that many scars, a few signs of electrical shots placed on the lower back and just over the right part of the collarbone. Her face showing signs of a beating, giving her cheeks being slightly yellow and green from the slightly old bruses. Luna just kept walking, she just needed to find a way out of here, but her head was so heavy, and everything was like a blur - nothing made sense. They would be able to track her, she knew that her blood left a trail to easily follow. Too easy to follow. But as of right now, that was the least of her problems. She needed to find some shelter, something to stop the bleeding before she would collapse. She knew it was a matter of time, the pain had told her that a long time ago, but survival was more important than attenting the wound right now.

Finally, she stopped as she leaned on a tree for support, her legs failing on her, forcing her painfully to the ground, a scream made the birds fly from the trees above her head, as she was sliding down to the ground. She leaned her head back, the mermaid's eyes rolling up to her head as she grunted. Luna was taught not to cry, you didn't cry in the sea, but this pain, the tears steamed down her face. She could barely see the wound, only the float of blood that painted her legs. The dizziness took over, and from that the dark spots taking up most of her sight, turned completely black. Not even feeling as she tilted to the left right, landing with her head on the ground.

Blood. Lots of blood had been spilled, and the smell of it reminded the vampire of someone. Seemingly it was a mermaid, and he only recalled having met one; Luna. What was she doing back on shore and why was she bleeding? It wasn’t like he spent a whole lot of time strolling around, no, as soon as he smelled her, he dropped everything in his hands and went after her. He had been out to search for wild animals and plants for different elixirs, potions and drugs. He needed a little of everything. But everything had been left behind. His scissor, bag, book and much more.
He heard her scream, which didn’t decrease his speed. What the hell was happening? As soon as she was within sight, he could see her about to tip over to go unconscious. He hurried to her and made sure she didn’t land on the forest ground. “Luna?” he said trying to wake her up shaking her a little. Her heart was still beating. His eyes then traveled over her naked body seeing how her legs were all cut up. Damn hunters being too curious to even live in this world. With his blood manipulation he made sure that the blood stopped bleeding from her wounds, though her wounds hadn’t healed. He quickly bit his own wrist so it started bleeding and put his hand against her mouth so she hopefully could recover quicker. As soon as his wrist had healed so it didn’t give more blood, he took of his shirt and placed it over her, so she was somewhat covered. He corrected a strand of her hair before he sat up, with her in his arms and headed towards a clearing somewhat nearby. Hopefully, there would be a small lake or something like that that she could rest in or something alike. And luckily there was a lake which seemed somewhat clear. He took of the shirt and placed it near the shore. He noted that nobody was after them and then put her into the water to wash of the now dried blood from her skin, leaving the dried blood on the wounds.

Her body accepted his blood, taking it in and from there used it's healing forces to create more energy sending it out in the body as naturally charged itself - like it usually did. Generating into the energy she needed to survive, it didn't take long, but long enough to not feel anything till she felt the water running across her skin. Her body reacting as if burned, making her eyes open up in a smaller gasp as she moved her tail, and at first instinct she dived under the water - seeing it as her chance of escaping, only to realize shortly after as she turned around in the water who had been sitting by the bank. Luna swam closer, moving her tail was painful, and through hard training she was taught not to respond to pain - but this was more painful than she had experienced beforehand. She moved her head back up over the surface and swam closer to him. "Leigh," she breathed out in a more heavy and relived sigh. Her body still refilling itself with energy for her to function, times like this she was thankful for the powers she was given. She swam closer, making a pained grimace by how it felt like the burning pain spread from her tail and up to the rest of her body - reminding it to not move to much. She turned around sitting closer to the shore, looking at her cut up tail. She hadn't even been looking at it till now, she had just felt them cut it up. Anger boiled up and she tightened her jaw just looking at it as she took a sharper breath in. They were going to pay for this. She was going to make sure of it.

She opened her eyes in a gasp and was quick to dive under water, making Leigh sit alone at the shore searching for sight of her. She was trying to escape whatever had done this to her, which he understood. So, he gave her time to realize who he was.
She resurfaced, making him give her a relaxed and relieved smile. She had noticed that it was him. “Luna,” he replied softly. Even though she masked the pain, he knew she was in pain. There was no way she wouldn’t be hurting, even though she was healing quickly. He swung his legs into the water, sitting somewhat beside her. “Let me sew it,” he said and reached his hand out to her. The weight of her and her tail didn’t matter, he could carry her all the way. He believed it would be better if the tail didn’t split while she swam around. Besides, he always had plenty of ways to help her heal after he had been experimenting on multiple breeds.

She moved her eyes to the side shortly as he swung his legs into the water, sitting closer. Luna took a sharper breath in allowing him to get closer to her, despite the years she hadn't seen him. There was a lot that had happened since she had been forced to leave him. Her eyes darted at this hands for a minute, mostly because no hand of kindness had been offered to her in months, and it didn't come natural for her to trust others. People always wanted something in order to help, but she had to remember herself that she had known him. She had loved him, and yet she wondered if that had changed? It had been quite long, and she wasn't even sure yet how she felt about anything. Not when this pain took all her attention. Luna took his hand, and grunted in pain as she moved he last towards him. "Okay," she took a sharper breath in, before she chuckled a bit, totally contrapuntal to the situation. But laughing a bit was also easier than cry and admit to the pain she was in. "I never thought I would see you again, but I'm so happy that I did."
