Nicole had yet to find out what she was doing here, or she knew - but she never really took part in big gallas like this on her own. She didn't know anyone there, of course it was just a better chance to mingle and meet new people, that was at least what she told herself as she stepped inside. Nicole walked into the great hall where the galla took place and had a look around, it was marvelous, almost like stepping into a movie where the princess was going to meet the prince for the first time. So many people, and her dark eyes scanned the room to find the hosts. All she could do was at least to find these D'Avalos people and welcome them to town, that was what people did at these things, right? Nicole took a slightly deeper breath in, walking up to a taller guy in a suit standing with a woman to his right, having his arm - clearly a couple - not the people you wanted to mess with, she could tell just by the aura they radiated. So powerful, she felt intimated just by walking up there - yet the closer she got there was also something so comfortable about it, something she couldn't describe. "What a lovely gathering," she spoke with a soft almost harmonic voice, looking up at the couple. Not knowing if it was them or someone else who had made it happen, either way she had talked. "Nicole Miles, pleasure," she held her hand out to give the guy a firm handshake, then the woman. "Zitora Cowan, likewise." Nicole returned her eyes to the guy giving him a warm smile, before letting some other guests come over. Her eyes scanned the area for other's that were greeted, perhaps this was a larger family?

"Do you know her?" Zitora passed a thought to Frederik, having payed attention to his reaction to the girl, she gave his arm a small squeeze as her arm still was wrapped around his. It was a risk coming here tonight, but luckily Elenora and Julianne had accepted their brother was alive. Zitora knew it was Quentin, the youngest brother that Frederik worried mostly about seeing again. Looking to the left she could see Elenora and Julianne standing together greeting a few guests as well.

Quentin was late to the party as always, it wasn't really his thing, but he also knew what it took to be the face to the outside world. Spotlight wasn't a thing the family wasn't used to after all. He wasn't really in the mood to chat with his sisters, at least not since Jolene had mentioned they were keeping something from him, but he had to ask them to get the answer to that. He hated secrets. His eyes landed on Hannah, handing her a glass champagne as he took one for himself. "Cheers."

Frederik’s outfit
Hannah’s outfit
Jolene’s outfit

With Zitora by his side, Frederik felt invincible; especially now that his father was out of the game. It was only Quentin left for problems, and what better way to tell him that he was alive, than in a big crowd. He knew Quentin was invited and it wouldn’t be long before they met – he was sure of that. But if Quentin didn’t want to appear this evening, it wouldn’t take long before the news about Frederik’s wellbeing would reach his ears. After all, it surprised him that Jolene hadn’t said a thing about Frederik being alive, but she probably had her reasons to keep secrets.
People greeted the couple and shortly after left for something else to do, unless they wanted to catch up or ask questions. It didn’t surprise him that people were curious, but most questions were just dismissed anyway. People who weren’t hunters didn’t know of how he died but had been told a tragic cover story – just like they had done with Griffin. Frederik didn’t really take that much notice of the people he greeted, but when a smaller young girl approached his attention didn’t wander away from her. He frowned – but welcoming – and with a smile to the girl. She reminded him of someone. Someone who he had cared a lot for, but he couldn’t really put a finger on what it was. She complimented the gathering, which made him smile thankfully. Her voice too seemed recognizable. Having so many thought about who she actually was and where he knew her from completely made him forget to thank her for the compliment of the gathering. But she introduced herself. Nicole. I couldn’t be could it?
He gave her a firm handshake, even though he usually went for the more formal and charming greeting by kissing the back of women’s hands. He hadn’t really done it since he had met Cecilia, nor did he want to do if his theory about this young woman was correct. “Frederik D’Avalos. I’m thankful for your attendance,” he presented himself, before he let Zitora greet her and the girl left. New guests approached for a greeting and he heard Zitora’s thought while he shook hands with another guest. “I’m not one hundred… But she reminds me of my youngest sister who was kidnapped,” he replied and patted the guest on side of his shoulder, with a slight chuckle before he sent the quest away. He turned to Zitora, closing off so guests hopefully wouldn’t interrupt. Multitasking wasn’t that easy. Greeting people and having a whole other conversation in one’s thoughts. “I know it might sound like a bad idea… But I think my brother would be able to solve the mystery,” he suggested knowing that it would be quite risky to approach his brother himself. He would probably need his sisters backup for starters – and maybe even tell them what he had seen.

Hannah had gotten the invitation for the D’Avalos galla which had caused a whole lot of nervousness. She rarely went to such big parties and never without someone who knew of her sensitivity to impressions. A party like this was one big impression. But even though she knew that her senses would probably go nuts, she had accepted and asked for company of Quentin. To be honest he was probably the one who understood best of the people who she knew in Gaia right now. She hadn’t really given herself the time to make that many friends and she was quite determined that the other D’Avalos kids didn’t even remember her unusual behavior – but back then it hadn’t been that bad after all.
So Hannah had arrived with Quentin by her side and she tried no to let her eyes wander too much even though it could be difficult. She even noticed how he picked up a glass of champagne for both of them and wasn’t even surprised when he handed it to her. She smiled softly and took the glass. “Cheers,” she replied and closed her eyes to take a short wiff of the champagne. A small tingling headache, but it was manageable. She took a sip, still with her eyes closed. She opened her eyes when she had removed the glass from her lips. “You really know how to throw parties,” she complimented and tried to keep her eyes on him. The front of her hair was pulled back into a nice bun making beautiful curls and adding volume to the already voluminous hair.

As one of the early birds, Jolene stood in the opposite end of the great hall than her best friend. She knew how to put two and two together, so when she hadn’t received the invitation but heard about the party, she knew Elenora had gotten mad of Jolene’s actions. Jolene had after all tried to kill Elenora’s big brother Frederik and his mate. She was a hunter who didn’t ask questions but just acted on the commands she was given. Inhumans didn’t deserve to live. That had also been the thought she had had when she had killed her own daughter who moments before had been turned into a vampire. Poor Fleur.
With her intense eyebrows and eye makeup Jolene stood with a glass of champagne by herself holding onto her white purse. She had seen that her husband had arrived with Hannah – so they had clearly gotten the invitation. It wasn’t like Jolene was jealous of the odd ‘couple’, but she somehow longed for peace in her heart. She wished for her loved ones to find peace and herself to either move on and find love again or reunite with her loved ones. She envied the potential she could see between Hannah and Quentin. Not that they seemed to be dating or anything like that – but they seemed to get along better than herself and her husband. She longed for that, and she knew that Quentin and Jolene’s relationship was pure business.

Zitora raised a brow slightly, moving her eyes to the girl shortly. Other than there was a slight resistance regarding if Zitora could communicate with the girl though her mind, and with all the people she greeted it was a lot of people she created a mind connection to. If anything was true Zitora knew it was important to trust one’s gut feeling. Frederik turned towards her, making her eyes lock with his. Her brow was raised a bit further by his spoken words, "you want to jump in the crossfire right now?" She asked, knowing he might already have made up his mind regarding this. Zitora could understand the need to make sure, be sure before jumping to conclusions. "Should we tell Nora and Julianne?" Zitora suggested, looking if she could spot the younger woman in the crowd again. The white dress was somewhat easy to find or perhaps it was the hopeful aura. Zitora wasn't going to convince Frederik in it being a too bad idea, if he could face his brother and have a chance of finding a lost sister at once - wasn't that even better. Besides, she still hoped that Quentin wasn't foolish enough to make a number out of it in a crowd. "How do you want to do this?" Zitora asked looking shortly out to the crowd before returning her green-blue eyes to her boyfriend.

Quentin chuckled a bit after having taken a mouthful of the champagne. Elenora did always know how to put up a good front for the family. "Elenora is a shark when it comes to this, its good press as she would say," he confessed instead of just saying simply 'thank you'. Quentin's eyes moved around the crowd, Elenora and Julianne was easy for him to find in a crowd. Other than that, he was thankful he was so used to the strings between people he had no idea not everyone saw what he saw. It was when his eyes landed on Elenora and Julianne he saw a string pulling towards two different places in the crowd which had him frown a bit confused. "Is that Frederik?" he almost choked on his drink while taking a sip, lifting his glass towards the guy that looked so much like his brother. It couldn't be. If any of his brothers would have cheated death it would have been Griffin, always a sucker for doing the wrong or most thrilling thing. Not Frederik with always following the rules. But he wanted Hannah to confirm to him that he wasn't just seeing things, even though his ability never lied to him on stuff like this. He eyed to the woman by Frederik's side, tabbing into the bond between them, wanting to see what it was all about, but not even Quentin was able to pull a tool on that bond.

Mixed emotions. Despite the pure hatred to the fact that it had to mean that Frederik had turned supernatural, he couldn't help but being just a bit happy to see his brother again. Here he had thought he would never see him again, hadn't even gotten a chance to say goodbye to Frederik nor their mother. After all family was the most important thing to Quentin. His eyes flicker to the other direction of the room where his eyes caught a slightly younger girl dressed in a white dress, the same string pulling her to his siblings. Quentin blinked a bit overwhelmed taking a step back, rushing his hand through his hair. "Come," he gestured her to follow him as he made his way through the crowd to meet Frederik, not even having a slight idea of what he was going to say or do.

Elenora had her eyes on Jolene from the second she had stepped in the room. She wasn't fond of how her best friend had taken an aim at Zitora, and therefor endangering Frederik's life. Not that she didn't understand where Jolene came from in this, they had both done things the right way for so many years, it was hard to realize that the way wasn't so right. Even Quentin had said the word soft, that she had gotten soft over the time she had spent here in Gaia. Perhaps soft in their eyes, yet they hadn't had to endure what she had over the past years either. Elenora was also better than that, if that was how they saw her, so be it, she didn't care about how other people saw her. Her eyes noticed the movement of Quentin on his way to Frederik, which made her grab Julianne by the arm and move towards Zitora and Frederik.

IndlægEmne: Sv: The D'Avalos Gala   The D'Avalos Gala EmptyTirs Jun 22, 2021 12:06 am

He looked away shortly as Zitora asked if he wanted to jump directly into a crossfire. It wasn’t like he wanted to confront his brother right away, but he wanted to talk to his sisters first, which Zitora was quick to suggest, making him regain eye contact. “It’s like you can read my mind,” he said with a smile on his lips. He noticed how Zitora looked for the possible sister. She wondered how he wanted to do it and he eyed his sisters and swung an arm around her waist. “Tell my sisters and hope for the best,” he replied warmly.  He wanted to be sure that it wasn’t just him who believed it might be their Nicole, and of course, if he could make them stand by his side when he confronted Quentin, it would only be better. He started to approach where he had seen his sisters last, realizing they were already approaching him.

Hannah licked her lips softly sending Quentin a smile, “It is good press,” she agreed. She was almost radiating a positive energy, just with her smile and posture, even though she was cautious of the impressions she received. Since Hannah was facing Quentin directly, she didn’t really notice anyone but him. Not yet at least.
Is that Frederik?
Hannah furrowed her brows and looked towards the place where Quentin pointed. She turned her head quite quickly to get as few impressions on her way. It definitely looked like Frederik with a very beautiful woman next to him. “I-… It really looks like him,” she replied before she again looked quickly back at Quentin. It seemed like he changed where he was looking, making Hannah wonder what he was looking at. “Do you wanna greet him?” she almost whispered. Her eyes had begun to notice anything on Quentin’s appearance. He might’ve not have heard her, because as soon as he had taken a step back and ran a hand through his hair, he instructed her to follow. Hannah made a slightly surprised jump before she followed as quickly as she could. It wasn’t like she wore high heels for everyday use, and this really restrained her stride length. She could almost look like a puppy trying to keep up with it's owner.

Jolene stood quite passively and paid attention to Quentin and Hannah who seemed to be having a good time. He pointed somewhere and she looked in the same direction and it seemed like shortly after they were both quite busy going somewhere specific.
What was he going to do with her?
She narrowed her eyes a bit. Maybe their marriage wasn’t love yet, but it didn’t mean that he could just fool around with whoever he wanted. She put her glass down and started approaching.

The D'Avalos Gala Empty
IndlægEmne: Sv: The D'Avalos Gala   The D'Avalos Gala EmptyTirs Jun 22, 2021 6:18 am

Finding out if this Nicole were his sister was in her best interest, if anything it would give him a peace of mind getting it confirmed. And he did deserve that. A soft chuckle left her lips as he mentioned it was like she could read his mind. His hand around her waist made her attention regain fully back to him and gave him a small nod to the sisters being the first step. Zitora followed the steps towards where Elenora and Julianne last had been seen, only to realize they were already headed their way, which made Zitora look a bit to the side realizing the guy headed towards them, with a beautiful dark-skined girl with him. Julianne's twin brother.

Julianne noticed Quentin's rushed movements towards them, and took a few steps ahead making sure she was a little bit in front of Frederik. It wasn't like she didn't believe her oldest brother could defend himself, he obviously could, but Quentin was her twin and knew every each of his facial expression. But the first thought that came to her mind wasn't that he looked angry or like he was about to strangle someone, he looked confused - as if he had seen a ghost. At least till he placed his eyes on his oldest brother. Quentin's jaw tightened, starting to look sullener at his brother. Quentin's eyes scanned him for a moment, trying to figure out what creature he had turned into - because if he had been human, he would have returned home, right? Quentin was well-mannered so of course to avoid too much silence, he presented himself to the only stranger in the group, holding his hand out to Zitora who took it giving him a firm handshake, presenting himself and so did she. Which of course only was most in Zitora's favour, being able to access his mind. Zitora also presented herself to the girl next to Quentin, not wanting her to feel too uncomfortable suddenly standing in the drama. Then again, she had no idea if Hannah was used to the drama and the whole hunting thing, she however did judge on Hannah's character based on the body language. Elenora gave Hannah a big smile, it had been quite some time since she had seen her last. Which reminded her that she had spoken to Ethan not many days ago, apparently his ex-girlfriend had been found after having been kidnapped for over a year.

"As much as I would love to deal with this entire situation," Quentin broke the silence and cleared his throat looking rather stern af Frederik, "I think there is something else that is more important to deal with first," he added not feeling like removing his eyes from his brother for too long. It was funny, even though Frederik was supernatural now, there was still a huge amount of respect for his oldest brother - and perhaps, if it hadn't been for his hand that had found Hannah's and having her present, the situation could have been very different. "What are you talking about?" Julianne asked frowning a bit, shortly turning her eyes from Quentin to Frederik, then back to Quentin again.

Elenora realized at first hand Jolene approaching, making her take a few steps closer to her friend with her arms crossed. If anyone could hold a grunge, it would be Elenora, and she wasn't really the type to forgive and forget. So, even if her positive aura gave her attitude some spark, she wasn't going to just let Jolene slip. Besides, she had aimed for her brother's life. However, she stopped when a younger girl by accident walked into Jolene, not watching where she was going. Nicole looked up at the taller woman, "Oh, I'm sorry." She smiled at the woman shortly, looking to the side gaining eye-contact with a woman who stood with Frederik and Zitora she had greeted not long ago. Nicole smiled and gave the woman a nod. Something about them seemed oddly familiar. It reminded her of her past, because yes, she did remember something from before she had ended up with James. She remembered the light being who had taken her from Griffin. She remembered Griffin's face the best, but everything else had been repressed to a place way back in her mind where her mind had locked it away in its need of realizing her family would never come for her. Maybe James had made it easier for her too, she knew his powers. After all, he had taught her to control hers. Before she knew it the others looked at her as well, making her feel slightly uncomfortable.

Quentin took a sharper breath in. The strings didn't lie, and he turned his head towards Frederik who clearly had the same thought about this as Quentin. Quentin knew what he was going to ask, or at least he assumed, but in Quentin's eyes the answer was already there. "It's her," he looked at Frederik. Julianne and Elenora turning their eyes from the young girl over where Jolene stood, and back at their brothers. "Her who?" Julianne asked carefully. But didn't they already know. Julianne could feel her heart skip a beat; Griffin should be here for this. If it really was her. Elenora took a sharper breath in. "Are you sure?" Quentin moved his eyes to his older sister with a confident nod. "I'm never wrong about this." Elenora took a sharper breath in followed by a nod, of course he wasn't and they knew that, but she also felt like she had to ask. "What do we do?"

The D'Avalos Gala Empty
IndlægEmne: Sv: The D'Avalos Gala   The D'Avalos Gala EmptySøn Jun 27, 2021 8:57 pm

Every sibling were moving fast towards him and Zitora and Julianne even placed herself somewhat in front of Frederik to steer off Quentin. He couldn’t really help but pull up a slight smile of the fuss. Quentin wouldn’t do anything reckless right now would he? No, he wouldn’t. It was confirmed when he greeted Zitora. Shortly after Zitora greeted Hannah, who shook her hand with a soft smile and softly spoken name. She could do this. She had already gained some control of her ability, even if it wasn’t much. Hannah made sure to smile softly back to Elenora, because it had indeed been some time since they had seen each other. By Zitora’s looks, Hannah got the idea that this girl was good with structure and very smart. Talented, just like Frederik – just like all of them really, except for herself. She was only good at taking care of plants and making waffles. Compared to all of these hunters, she was just a child, a dog or in general just helpless in comparison. All of these people seemed like they knew how to get by, by themselves.

Frederik moved his gaze from all of the greeting to Quentin pulling a gentle smile, as if nothing was wrong. Quentin mentioned there was something he wanted to get fixed first, and Frederik already had a big clue to the fact that he had already seen or greeted Nicole. Frederik therefore pulled a slightly bigger smile already knowing what was going on. Frederik still had lots of respect for his youngest brother, but somehow, he couldn’t stop finding it slightly humorous that Quentin was acting so nicely in front of Frederik. It somehow also reminded him, that unless his father had changed his will, Frederik would be the one to be in charge of the whole business. What turn around that would be. But Leonardo had believed that Frederik had been dead for years, so he had probably changed it. Right?
Julianne seemed confused by the thing that Quentin wanted to figure out first, but Frederik didn’t take his eyes of Quentin. He wanted to know if he were actually right about Nicole, because clearly Quentin would know by now. That somewhere there would be a string to a blonde girl called Nicole. Or maybe, she wasn’t even here.

Jolene could see how Elenora seemed to hold a grudge, and she kind of understood why, but just like Quentin, Jolene wanted the situation to be fixed sooner or later. It was already later for her since she had already met the supernatural couple not long ago. Jolene looked down at the blonde girl. Her look was as always somewhat intimidating, but she left a soft chuckle. “It’s alright. Nicole?” she asked tilting her head just a bit. She could recognize the girl, but of course, she wouldn’t get mad if the girl couldn’t remember her. Nicole had been so young when she was kidnapped.

Frederik licked his lips and nodded as Quentin said that it was in fact her. He pressed his lips together. Even Zitora knew what this was about now. He let his hands find their way to his jaw an let his fingers run across it as if he were thinking – truth be told, he was processing. He lifted a brow and glanced over at Jolene who had just asked Nicole if it was her. He took a sharp breath in. “Well, it doesn’t really seem like I’m recognizable. We greeted just a moment ago,” he explained and looked back at his siblings. “Did any of you greet her?” he asked gesturing to his siblings – but not that much Hannah.

The D'Avalos Gala Empty

Nicole narrowed her eyes a little bit, but also having her solo dance shows because of her father - she wasn't surprised when people knew her name, this just wasn't the reason she first thought of. "Yes?" she confirmed with a nod to the girl. Nicole wasn't easily intimidated, funny enough she looked like someone who could be afraid of her own shadow, which was just the top layer of her.  Nicole's perhaps greatest strength was she knew her own power and when to use it. Right now, she felt conflicted with the people starring at her, making her wish that she had taken Aleks with her. "I'm terribly sorry, I have to make a phone call," she excused herself and walked out to the balcony trying to get good enough connecting to text Aleks about these weird people who kept starring at her. In her head also just in case of her going missing again, he knew where she was at, not that he didn't already.

What did they do indeed. "No," Elenora looked at Julianne before looking at Quentin whom also shook his head. None of them had greeted her. "She did always spend most time with Griffin, while we practiced, he was the last one to see her," she took a sharper breath in knowing it was unlikely in their ears that Griffin could do much. Julianne still hadn't told Elenora and Frederik he was alive. It was actually odd, it was the first time in ages they stood so close together talking like normal people, even if it was about a not normal situation. "Be a bit more realistic Jules, Griffin can't do anything in his grave," Quentin raised his brow at his twin-sister who just dismissed his comment by rolling her eyes. "Shut up Quen," Elenora eyed Quentin. "I need to take this," Julianne pretended to have phone call, in this group she could without anyone wonder too much who it could be. It could easily be the babysitter looking after Annika who had a question or couldn't find something. She took a few steps away from them, not still within reach. She dialed Griffin's number and lifted the phone to her ear. "Hey G, how fast can you get here - I reckon we just found Nicole, but he doesn't seem to recognize us, perhaps you would have better luck? - Yeah, I know it's risky, but what if? She is out on the balcony right now, how fast can you get here?" She took a sharper breath in, knowing she had spoken quite fast, even repeated herself, but she didn't care.

Zitora eyed Jolene for a second aware if she was going to try something she would end up regretting. Elenora looked over at Julianne shortly, but didn't think too much over what her conversation was about. "We could try talk to her, maybe just having a conversation - I'm not sure about what though," Elenora sighed a bit. Zitora frowned a bit, "she did say Miles, right?" Zitora turned her eyes to Frederik, "as in James Miles, the way she carries herself, she is clearly a dancer," she added, Zitora was known for hanging onto detail and figure out stuff after all. Having danced earlier in and even been a storm dancer before she died, she knew a little about how the posture of a dancer was. "Maybe -" Zitora was interrupted as Quentin cleared his throat. Such elegance was hard to come by. "And what gives you the impression that you have a say in this matter? Beca-" Quentin was about to interrupt her when Zitora turned her head towards him, looking into his eyes he shut his mouth. Julianne saw that from afar and almost couldn't help but chuckle a little bit. "Maybe.. because our friend over there, seemed to have a fine conversation with her seconds ago," she nodded towards Jolene. "Oh yeah, I believe you guys have met my wife," - "Excuse me. Your.. what?" Elenora raised her brows slightly shocked about that news. How had they agreed to this without coming by her first?

Jolene smiled slightly by the soft confirming nod. “You don’t remember, huh… I’m Jolene,” she said softly, but before Jolene could hand Nicole her hand and greet her as if it was the first time they’ve met Nicole excused herself, leaving Jolene looking after Nicole for a mere moment before she turned her gaze back to her real goal. Approaching the group of siblings hosting this party.
_____________

Aleks sat on his bed and binge watched a series on Netflix. He knew that Nicole was busy this evening, and therefore he had chosen not to text her unless she reached out first, but out of a sudden, his phone lit up right next to him with her name and a little heart on it. He didn’t think much through before he accepted the call and placed the phone next to his ear. “Hey ‘Cole. What’s up?” he greeted, wondering what was so urgent that she had to call him, and not just text him.
_____________
Frederik frowned a little and was just about to suggest that some of them went and greeted their youngest sister, but then Julianne mentioned Griffin, making Frederik frown a little. Griffin was dead, and he knew that Julianne had gotten quite angry at Frederik for even mentioning him – of course, it had also been another setup than right now. Quentin almost spoke what Frederik thought, Quentin’s choice of words were just much more harsh. Suddenly Julianne left to take a phone call, which Frederik didn’t put much matter into. Right now, he was dealing with the Nicole-situation.

Hannah on the other hand had noticed that no signal had gone to Juliannes phone to make it ring. Not even a vibration. Nothing. She also noticed when Julianne picked up her phone, that there was no one dialing her. As observant as she was she gave Quentin a very little squeeze with her hand in his. She had done something like this before while they had been searching for Madelaine. Most often it was because she began go lose control of her powers and needed help with lowering her senses – but this was something quite different. She listened to the conversation that Julianne was having, and tried no to look too much in her direction – not that she needed it to lipread.
_____________

Griffin layed on his floor, with his legs on a stool and carved a small figure when the ringing tune started. He looked in the direction of the phone for a moment before he put his knife and the figure away and got to his feet. While he approached the phone, he bopped his head to the music a little before he picked it up. “The number you have dialed is not in service. Please try again.” He said before he heard Julianne’s “No-” he said mentioned they might’ve found Nicole. His brows furrowed as she looked at the table where his phone had been laying. The calculations were already going on nuts. Was it possible?
It was possible.
But the calculations for that being the death of him was also quite high. “It’s risky, Julianne. I can’t risk it with Que-” He shut his mouth and picked up the figure and the knife from the ground while she tried to convince him. He sighed while he looked at the figure. “Give me twelve minutes, four seconds and-… See you soon” he mumbled stopping himself from the massive amount of number he could give her. He put the figure down and hung up. He went to text messages and started hitting very specific numbers, only to delete them immediately to put in another set of numbers. Beside the numbers, he saw the calculations and probability of the number belonging to Elena. He texted her a message.
I’m going to do something stupid. I’m meeting with the fam. Forgive me. G
Before sending the message he dressed himself in a suit and tie, just to blend in. He sent the message and started his running trip.
_____________

Frederik nodded approvingly as Zitora asked if Nicole had presented herself as Miles. He looked for Nicole as Zitora mentioned the way she had carried herself. It was incredible. Had their youngest sister been taken by an incubus and somehow been adopted? How could that even be? He knew James Miles from when he had been hunting. That how his thought started to wonder if James had been able to manipulate her memories to forget her siblings. Frederik’s eyes darted to Quentin as he seemed to think that something Zitora said was unimportant to this matter. He knew Zitora was extremely smart, and it was fairly rare that what she said had no importance at all.
Hannah who stood right next to Quentin could feel how the couple’s eyes almost pierced towards him. She could almost feel it towards herself. “Quen,” Hannah whispered, trying to get through the crossfire of speech. Zitora then hinted towards Jolene, which made Frederik look at Jolene for a second, just in time for Quentin to spill the magic words. “Your what?” Frederik synched with Elenora frowning a bit. Was he married to Jolene? What about her Jolene’s daughter and her husband?
Just in time for Jolene to reach the group. “Do we have a problem?” Jolene wondered looking at every one who was a part of the ‘group chat’. Hannah tried a little more insisting and let her arm with the champagne glass pull him a bit. She really wanted to let Quentin know about that very secretive conversation Julianne had had, because she believed that Griffin might not be dead anyways by the way she had greeted him with G and talked about him having a greater chance with a reunion with Nicole. If she finally got his attention she would be looking up at him. “I got to talk to you. Alone, she whispered. The whole way Hannah seemed eager to talk to Jolene’s husband made Jolene raise a brow.

Nicole breathed out the second she heard his voice, taking a sharper breath in, perhaps taken a few second longer to respond than she usually would. "Sorry to bother you. I - I am not sure, there is just these people, and - I feel like I've met them before, but I.. I don't know from where, perhaps it's just the champagne talking," she breathed out. She had barely finished the first glass, it wasn't the champagne, but she also didn't want to trouble Aleks too much. "I might just be imagining it," she shook her head and took a deeper breath in, clearly feeling a bit out of it. "Just tell me, that I'm being ridiculous." She chuckled a bit looking over the city. The view from here was incredible.

_____________

Quentin rolled his eyes a little at his twin sister, looking shortly at Frederik and Zitora. He wasn't fond of this far from. Witches. Out of everything couldn't he had been just dead or faked his survival as a human - did Quentin really have to lose another brother to the supernatural? At least Griffin had done the right thing and ended things himself. Hannah's squeeze made him move his almost deadly glance from Frederik and towards her, not sensing her senses acting up, which made him frown a bit, perhaps it was just a reflex. He moved his eyes back to Frederik.

_____________

Julianne didn't have time for his jokes, not tonight at least. And she breathed out in a heavier sigh till he realized what the matter was about. Finally, she seemed to convince him, and she breathed out relieved.

Elena had been sitting on the couch watching some new documentary on netflix, when an unknown number had texted her. Diego had was getting Derek to sleep, which time to time could take a while. It was most likely the weirdest text she had gotten in a while, but she frowned looking at it for quite some time. Maybe the sender had gotten the wrong number. G. Meeting with the family? Her head almost started hurting trying to think off who it could be. "Bloody hell Griff," she hissed to herself before jumping off the couch. She knew that Julianne was at this gala, how? Because she had told Diego, and Elena might have overheard them talking. Elena walked over to the door to Derek's room, and mouthed that she was going out, even signalling with a hand movement pointing towards the front door with her thumb, that she was going out. She couldn't really leave him a note, and she wasn't going to risk he suddenly tracked her all the way to the gala. Thereafter Elena went to her room and quickly dressed up, taking a sharper breath in before teleporting herself to outside the hotel.

_____________

Zitora was very observant on Nicole, but as Hannah started whispering, she had her attention on them. Not that she looked at them at all, but she traced their thoughts, most importantly Hannah's, trying to figure out why she was so eager to get Quentin's attention. Zitora rarely trusted anyone, and with good reasons. However, Jolene stole the spotlight when he announced his wife, being the huntress who had tried killing them last month - this was just marvellous really. Zitora found her focus on Nicole again, whatever drama that was going on between Quentin and Hannah - or whatever it was - wasn't worth her attention, was it?

Quentin turned his eyes towards Hannah by the pull in his arm, he pressed his brows together in a small frown. "Alright, alright, give me a few - I'm not done with you," he looked at each his siblings but stopped at Frederik. He knew why. Zitora took a slightly deeper breath in glaring at Frederik's younger brother, had it not been for his desire to kill Frederik, Zitora might have been nicer to him. Quentin sighed a bit and nodded guiding Hannah a fit away from his siblings. "What is it?" He asked a bit lower as he raised a brow. He wasn't fond of leaving his siblings out of sight, not now.

Julianne watched Quentin walk away with Hannah, now she just needed to get Jolene away. "Fred, can I talk to you real quick?" She waved him a bit over, looking slightly worried. She was. Mostly because if Quentin couldn't keep it together anymore when Griffin at some point showed, then she would need more than just herself to stop Quentin. "Now," she hissed a bit, letting him know it was urgent. Which even had Elenora frown a bit, but Elenora was far from done discussing this with Jolene. Zitora let Frederik walk to his sister, not that she wouldn't follow him, and she only would if he asked, but she sensed that perhaps it was just best Julianne talked with her brother alone. Julianne pulled Frederik with her a bit further away from the crowd, but not far enough to not being able to see if Nicole walked out from the balcony. But now that she had send after Griffin, she felt a bit more relaxed - a bit more. "Griffin is alive," she said very direct looking into Frederik's eyes. "He faked it.. back then.. and he lives on the mountains.. and no, I haven't had too much to drink," she breathed out. It was a heavy secret to carry. But if anyone could understand, it had to be Frederik, right? "If Nicole remembers any of us, it has to be him, so I called him, which leads to why I'm telling you this," she nodded towards Quentin. Locking her eyes with Hannah for a second, narrowing them a bit for a moment. "I just got both of you back, I'm not ready to let go of you again."

_____________

"What do you think you are doing?" Elenora crossed her arms a bit. "How long have you been married to my brother, without telling me?" She frowned a bit confused; it was absurd. Okay, Elenora had been away for months, they had no chance of telling her, but still, they could at least have waited. Then again, she knew her father's ways - but these days Elenora thought more with her heart than her head.

Aleks outfit: Classic suit

She took her time responding, which made Aleks know that something was up, but the way she spoke, she tried to cover it up, failing quite miserably. She seemed to have a lot on her mind, which was why he let her talk her heart out. Just tell me I'm being ridiculous. He frowned, "Do you want me to come over?" he wondered. He didn't think she was ridiculous, she thought she was quite smart of calling him now that she felt somewhat unsafe. "You know what, I'm on my way," he interrupted his own suggestion. "Hang in there, okay? Be around someone, so you won't be alone, okay?" he guided her calmly. He closed Netflix and went to his closet to comb through his outfits. It didn't take long before he found his suit. White shirt, black bow and a classic black suit.
_____________

Diego sat by Derek and was in the middle of telling a story. The boy was still asleep, but if Diego didn't finish the story or if he left too early, the boy would just wake up again. He could see Elena's figure in the door and that she pointed that she was goin out. He believed it was late, but he didn't want to stop her - she was a grownup after all, and she knew she could just call him if anything was up. He wouldn't hesitate a second to get where ever she needed him - even though it could be difficult to figure out where she was, when he couldn't really type in an address on his phone or anything alike.
_____________

Finally she gained his attention, but he was clearly not done with his siblings, as he announced it out loud, mostly looking at Frederik. Even Hannah knew why he wasn't done with his siblings. Supernaturals weren't really his favorites. It didn't really help that the couple only intensified their stare at Quentin, making Hannah feel shivers down her spine. They just seemed to know exactly what to do in every situation.
Hannah was then guided away from the group with Quentin. "I... Something is up with Julianne," she said and glanced towards the group where she could see and overhear that Julianne insisted on talking with Frederik. "She's keeping secrets - and - I believe Griffin might be alive," she whispered softly, inspecting everything they were doing. "No... He is alive. Griffin is alive," she said and regained eye contact with Quentin. "He faked his death and... Julianne has just called Griffin hoping that Nicole would at least remember her," she whispered to him. Her eyes looked back at Julianne and Frederik, gaining eye contact with Julianne. She immediately felt how she had been caught in gossiping. Because that was what it was; gossip. But Hannah knew that Quentin deserved to know what was going on. This was urgent, even more now that they both knew that his other brother was alive and on his way. Hannah didn't let go of Quentin's hand, because she had a feeling that this information may or may not lead to him confronting his twin. "Let's keep it cool, right?" she suggested, hoping she wouldn't witness another vampire get killed. It was traumatizing every time.
_____________

Frederik looked up at Julianne as she waved him over, asking to talk to him. He was just about to leave the company - but with his mate, but as Julianne hurried on him, he gave Zitora a simple nod to tell her that he probably needed to talk to her alone - but they both knew that he wouldn't mind on her peaking into his mind and therefore the conversation. Frederik was then pulled away from the group and as soon as they stopped Julianne revealed something that made him frown quite well. "What?" he wondered. Somehow all of these news threw him somewhat off the hook. Quentin was married to Elenora's best friend and somehow Griffin was alive. She started to explain and also told him that it wasn't the alcohol which was tossing her thoughts around. As she explained why she told him this extreme secret, Frederik looked over his shoulder, to map out where each hunter was - mostly Quentin and Jolene. They didn't really seem to be thinking lately. As Jolene stated that the wasn't ready to let go of her brothers yet, he looked back at her with a soft smile. "I'm not going down - and neither is Griffin," he reassured her. "I'll make sure that the four of us gets out alive," he said - Zitora being the fourth person he was thinking about. No one else was in risk of being killed tonight - unless Elenora and Jolene didn't figure out their problems with Jolene being married.
_____________

Jolene raised an eyebrow and mimicked Elenora's arms, crossing them in front of her. How did she dare to talk to her like that? Elenora knew how things was. They didn't get to choose who they were going to marry, neither who died or when the marriage was being settled. Elenora wondered how long this had been a 'secret', which made Jolene close her eyes for a moment. "Since January," she replied, slightly bothered. "You weren't really available," she pointed out. It wasn't like Jolene liked Elenora not knowing or not being there for the wedding, but that was just how things were.
_____________

It didn't take long before Griffin appeared in front of the hotel and he almost immediately saw Elena standing in front of it, which made him chuckle a bit as he approached her. "You didn't want me to do this alone, huh?" he said before he let his hand find hers to formally guide her inside. While walking, he glanced over at her with a soft smile. "You look wonderful tonight," he complimented her somewhat boldly. He just wished that nobody would be spilling blood while he was there, because he had no god damn idea what was going to happen and if he was going to be able to control himself.
They entered the hotel and he was quick to eye out every sibling he had. Everyone was here. Quentin and Hannah. Jolene, Elenora and some girl he couldn’t really define the smell of, Julianne and Frederik. And Nicole on the balcony. He could almost feel how his heart melted just by seeing how the little girl had grown up. He still remembered her smell as if it was yesterday, and being a vampire only made it easier to determine that it was still her. He glanced over at Elena, “I hope you are ready for this,” he chuckled and approached Julianne with a wide almost grinning smile. He knew that Frederik had changed, and he could even smell it. But that didn’t mean that he had changed his opinion on supernaturals. As soon as he got close enough, he announced his arrival; “Hello, my dear siblings!”

"Okay," she assured him nodding a bit looking back inside, she didn't know anyone inside - or maybe she did. Nicole was so unsure, and at the same time not at all. But it didn't change the fact that she didn't know anyone close enough in here to know where to stand. But she didn't want to freak him out by saying that so she didn't, she hung up the phone and took a deeper breath in, looking back outside to the lighted up town, and looked down seeing two people walking towards the entrance to the hotel.

_____________

It wasn't because Quentin wanted to come off as harsh or grumpy at Hannah, but he was so eager to argue with his eldest brother that he looked more uptight than he wanted. Julianne. Julianne knew something making him frown a bit. He had found Julianne suspicious ever since she had gotten back from Bulgaria. Hannah confirming she was keeping something from him made Quentin's blood boil just a little bit more. Griffin was alive? Quentin look liked one big question mark, starring at her, it didn't make sense. Griffin had been turned into a vampire and had killed himself, which had been the right thing to do. It had, so why was it all suddenly fake news. Was he just as much a coward as their eldest brother? Julianne had known. How long had she known? Let' keep it cool, right? Quentin gave her a confirmed nod. "Yeah, cool. Let's keep it cool," he mumbled a bit to himself before they returned to the rest of the party again.

_____________

Zitora returned her nod to Frederik before looking around, knowing she could listen in on his and Julianne's conversation, but she was much more interested in Nicole's thoughts, along with Quentin's, but quickly realized Hannah was the one she had to keep her mind most focused on, since the little lady seemed to have quite the gifts of not keeping her nose to herself - not that Zitora was any better.

Julianne breathed out when it seemed so Frederik believed her, and wasn't going to make her feel crazy for what she just had told him. Assuring her that neither him or Griffin was going to down. The four of them. Yeah, Quentin would be so pissed at her for not telling him, and for not finishing the job this time. Julianne loved all her brothers, and that included Quentin, but he also scared her more than anyone else in their family - even more than their father had done. Because he knew his power, and he knew she was afraid of them - who liked being left alone in the dark time and time again every time he wanted to see how far his ability could go? Nicole remembers Griffin, Zitora confirmed to Frederik by sharing her thoughts with him, and Hannah has just been spilling all the tea Julianne has told you to Quentin. Let's just say he isn't pleased. Zitora kept her eyes on Quentin even if she had taken a bit of his moves from him, it didn't make him incapable of hurting anyone. Zitora walked over to Frederik again once Quentin and Hannah started to move towards them. Quentin very direct in his way of walking.

_____________

Elena spun around when she heard the sound of Griffin's voice, giving him a light slap on the arm with her right hand. "Of course not you idiot," before she took his arm, "someone has to make sure you don't get yourself killed.. again," she pointed out looking at him with a brow slightly raised. Then they turned to walk inside, and a compliment was thrown her way. "Thank you, if you had asked me a few hours earlier, I would have had time to actually do something better with my hair and my make up -" she pointed out, running her free hand over her hair. Elena took a look around, her eye catching a few people she had seen before. Then one person she actually knew, she knew Zitora, not closely but she knew her a bit. "Oh trust me, I'm gonna need back from his in once peace, or I'm going to end you myself," she kindly reminded him with a warm yet serious smile on her lips. Of course she was worried about the outcome of this, and she wished they could get in this without any blood or fighting. But she also doubted it would be easy.

_____________

You weren't really available. The rage filled up in Elenora's eyes and she folded her hands together in a fist, feeling almost how the nails pierced themselves into the flesh, trying to stop herself from exploding. "Weren't available? How delusional are you? Are you really that dumb or just naturally blonde?" Elenora took a sharper breath looking at her best friend with eyes that could kill if they were allowed. "Of all hunters you could find, you had to go after my brother? Are y-"-Hello, my dear siblings! Elenora spun around to the sound of Griffin's voice, and almost dropped her jaw to the floor. "What.. the actual.. fuck," she mumbled to herself and walked closer to Frederik and the others where Griffin had approached. Julianne placed two fingers on each side of her nasal spine, closing her eyes while shaking her head briefly. "Seriously Grif, out of all greetings," she mumbled to herself, knowing he could clearly hear her.

Quentin stood once again, in complete shock, even if Hannah had just told him this some time ago. His emotions were all over the place, not knowing where to place them or how to think about this. This wasn't a situation he was trained for. His eyes daggered towards Julianne, who looked up catching his eyes. Wanting to cancel out her senses, but also quickly realized he couldn't - which made him even more confused.

Nicole had turned her eyes back to the gathering of people, watching this new guy come in. It made her tilt her head a bit to the side, and she pressed her brows together thinking. Then she walked back inside and directly. Her legs moving in a fast pace, knowing there they were headed and she didn't stop till she was only four steps away from him. Looking at him, feeling how her jaw tensed, every single muscle tensed in her body. She knew him. "Grif?" She asked in an almost whisper, wanting for him to confirm it.

Griffin couldn't stop his soft chuckle as Elena hit his arm scolding him for a moment, before she lassoed his arm. His smile widened as she mentioned he shouldn't kill himself again. "Sounds like a good point," he chuckled and eyed her shortly, making sure his grip around her arm was great enough and that there wasn't really anything that could make the entrance better. He continued to chuckle as she complained about the amount of time she had had to get herself dressed up, and looked back at her. "Well my calculations were wrong, sorry," he joked. It wasn't like he hadn't known the probability of Julianne needing Griffins appearance, he just hadn't expected it being Nicole who was the reason. And he didn't calculate the chance of Elena actually attending the gala. Her direct words about ending him herself only made him continue to smile. He loved how they could be somewhat direct.
_____________

Frederik received Zitoras thoughts, making him frown for a short moment and glance towards Quentin and Hannah. Hannah clearly had an ability to peak into things. He remembered clearly how she once had asked about the prisoners in the D'Avalos basement, because she had been able to hear them. Frederik had always believed it had been some kind of sensitive hearing that she had as a child, which she would grow out of. But no. Talented kid, who could've been a great hunter. Frederik knew that if Leonardo, his father, had known about Hannahs ability, Hannah wouldn't have been able to live 'normal' life.

As Hannah spoke, she could see how Quentin didn't seem to take the information lightly, which was also why she tried to calm him down  or make sure that he would be cool and collected whenever Griffin arrived or something alike. As soon as he started to walk back towards the group, she followed right next to him. She hoped that her presence may or may not be able to dimmer the situation. She noticed how Frederik's partner had moved over to Julianne and Frederik and how Frederik kept an eye on Quentin and her. They knew that she knew - and probably that she had told Quentin. There was no way they would look at them if they didn't know. Right?
_____________

It was like popping a ballon how Elenora suddenly spilled all of her emotions and rage. Jolene wasn't really pushed by it, and continued to look stonecold at her best friend. Elenora hadn't been available and it hadn't been neither Quentin's nor Jolenes decision to make. It had been Leonardo's and Jolene's father's decision. She was just about to reply to Elenora's shitstorm when they were interrupted by a voice they all knew - and some of them hated from all of the pranks that had followed with that exact voice. As if Jolene was a mirror of Elenora, she almost dropped her jaw to the sight. How the hell was Griffin here? She could almost feel how her heart cloaked itself with the hunter teachings. With Elenora almost by her side, she approached with her.

Griffin kept his cheesy smile on his lips as Julianne commented on his greeting.  "I know, there was no better greeting," he joked. Now that he was here, there was no reason to hide his existence, right? He knew that Quentin would see the strings anyway, and it was Quentin he feared would do something the most. With the supernatural senses a vampire had, it didn't take much to notice how Quentin was shocked. As the childish and immensly irratating brother Griffin was, he turned towards Quentin for a moment to wave at him with a wide smile, but right after he heard how someone called his nickname. Someone who he had missed more than anyone else. Nicole.

He turned towards her and his expression got very soft and gentle. "Nic?" he almost whispered before he apporached her - letting go of Elena. Precious little Nicole. "I... I'm so glad you're in one piece... I tried to find you," he had so much he wished to say, but he had a feeling it may or may not be too much for her. He opened his arms slightly as an invitation for a hug.

Julianne flashed Griffin a sarcastic smile and took a deeper breath in, before looking around for the rest of the reactions from her siblings. Griffin provoking Quentin was perhaps not the smart move, but Griffin hadn't changed that much in his core. Quentin looked more pissed than shocked by the second. Till they all turned their eyes to Nicole who called Griffin by his nickname. Julianne looked to Frederik and then to Elenora, and even Quentin looked over to Frederik, as for a second they weren't enemies and in conflict, they were family, having found the first thing that truly had parted some of their family.

Nicole took a sharper breath in, taking almost a small step back, not taking her eyes from him. He hadn't called, no one had called to find her. She had been sitting next to the land-line at James' house waiting for someone to call her in missing, or anything - really anything a seven year old girl believed. It was like all air was kicked out of her system, and she moved her hand to her stomach for a second to remind herself to take a deeper breath in. Nicole moved her eyes shortly from him and over to the others, her mind working its ass off to pierce the last pieces together of what was going on and how everything was fitting together. I tried to find you, her dark brown eyes landed on Griffin's dark eyes again, taking an even sharper breath in. He looked like someone who wanted to embrace her, and truth to be told, the little girl in her had waited for this day ever since the angel had taken her. She had waited for so long. Way too long. She moved one foot in front of the other, thinking it through, or so she thought. Nicole knew she needed to be careful, that was how James had raised her. So be aware of everyone that wasn't family, but Griffin was her brother, so did she really need to be that careful? Nicole took one step closer not really looking at him as she wrapped herself around him, placing the left side of her head towards his chest. "Why didn't you find me till now?" She asked in a lower voice, she had always wondered. Wondered why no one had come for her. Even if she had a good life here, she was happy, she was having a thriving carrier, nothing was going to change that. Right?

Zitora placed her hand on Frederik's shoulder giving it a small squeeze as she placed her chin over her hand. She knew it had to mean the world for him to get his lost sibling found. Julianne wrapped her arms around herself looking at Nicole embracing Griffin, feeling a bit sentimental about it. Quentin just paying most attention to the fact he was now having processed the entire thing. Frederik was a witch.. Griffin a vampire.. how the actual fuck. He had always looked up to his brothers, okay perhaps not Griffin that much, but Frederik, he had always tried to be good enough to fill out his big brother's shoes, but nothing was ever good enough to replace the golden child.

As soon as Frederik saw Griffin approach his eyes widened a bit. He hadn’t changed a day. He surely was still alive, or well, he was still a vampire. Griffin who provoked Quentin, Frederik immediately though as brainless. Did he really have to rub it in everyone’s faces? That he had been alive for 10 years as a vampire and seemingly was thriving with a girl on his side. Every D’Avalos turned their gaze to their lost sibling who called Griffin by his nickname. Frederik felt lost for words and as the two of them went for a hug, Frederik looked somewhat calmly around to see if everyone was picking up on what was happening. Too bad that their dad didn’t live to see everyone together again after more than 10 years apart.

Griffin noted how she looked at the other siblings for a moment. The probability of her not remembering them was quite high the way she looked at them. But it seemed like it got lover by every second he spend in the room with her. Griffin was seemingly the key to how she could remember where she was from and who was her actual family. He wondered who had raised her and how her life had been. Had she friends and or a love interest? Was she able to achieve the goals she wanted or was she being forced to do nothing she wanted? Was she even fed enough? She was slim and carried herself well, so he guessed that she trained something that craved some kind of physical presentation. Oh, how all of these things were being calculated every second. She looked back at him as he tried to explain.
One careful step after the other she got closer to him, and finally wrapped her arms around him. Oh, how this felt like home. He had been wishing for this moment for years. “I tried to find you every day,” he replied in an almost whisper. “But I had to hide,” he whispered to her. He wanted this conversation to be between them. He was cold, but he hoped that his outfit covered it. “I’m so sorry,” he continued with a whisper. There was nothing in this world that could make this right again. They had lost way too much time apart from each other and she had been raised by someone else – or that was what he assumed. The calculations indicated that she had been raise by someone who had a lot of influence and actually cared a lot for her.

As Frederik felt Zitora’s hand on his shoulder, he couldn’t stop but to let his free hand find her free hand and give it a soft squeeze. It was so nice to see her being back. It was heart warming that she at least recognized one of them. They could work with the rest, right?
Hannah still stood next to Quentin, still holding his hand, and she felt how she held her breath. Her senses going nuts with being able to even hear everything inside her body. Every intestine, every heartbeat, liquid and her lungs expanding. She held on tight to Quentin feeling slightly dizzy. She knew Nicole had been gone for a long time, and she didn’t want to miss this moment of a reunion with all the siblings.
Jolene caught her jaw and tensed up a bit. She wasn’t that sentimental right now about the big reunion, so she turned away, only to investigate her white purse. She was already wearing holy symbols as rings and necklaces and had her finger tattoos with silver, holy water or holy symbols. Her mere grip could make vampires and witches very uncomfortable. But in her bag, she also had a wooden stake, a knife and some vervain – you never knew, right? She closed her bag again and walked over to stand next to Quentin, even though he was occupied with Hannah clinging to the arm on the other side. “How long do you think he’ll keep his teeth to himself?” she whispered to Quentin, even though Hannah heard it clearly, and thought it was some bullshit to say, but being quite overwhelmed by the sound of her own body, she didn’t say a thing. She had her eyes closed.

Quietly the doors were opened and Aleks snuck himself inside and started to search for Nicole or any mysterious people. Everyone in this room had some kind of power, and he could see them all before him. As soon as he could see Nicole and her power, he hurried towards her, finding her in the arms of a seemingly very calculative man. He didn’t know the relationship between the two, but he didn’t want to ruin the moment even though he stood in sight for Nicole. He folded his hands in front of himself, waiting patiently. It seemed like she felt somewhat secure in this man’s arms.

She wrapped herself around him, canceling out whatever she first thought could have influenced her to 'remember', but it was real. There was no supernatural powers influencing her. This was her family. It was like she could almost recall images of moments, still nothing clear enough for her to really recall them, but some of her memories suddenly made sense. Had to hide? Nicole didn't understand, and she pulled away slightly looking at him, clearly confused, with no memories of the family was hunters or anything like that. So, why did he have to hide? "I don't understand," she confessed underneath her breath, being able to force him to tell her, but she didn't want that. James had taught her ways to get the informations she wanted, but right now she just wanted answers. She wanted to know who she was, but not by force.

She is recalling a bit more, let me know if you want to try push a few things forwards, Zitora send her thoughts to Frederik, but could also feel as how the second Nicole had touched Griffin how the connection had been broken till she had let go. Zitora looked to the side when she saw another person step in, looking at Nicole, she wondered who it was and what their connection was. Then again, Zitora always liked having all the facts.

Quentin frustrated by not being able to get a hold of his powers, almost pulled his hand to himself, not liking feeling powerless. All the new strings that made him aware of this was indeed Nicole. Then there was the stranger coming in looking at Nicole and Griffin hugging. Nicole had a strong bond to that guy, he could tell. Quentin didn't even notice Hannah might have needed him to hold on to Hannah in his frustration. His head turned to the side when Jolene stepped up to the other side of him. "I don't know, I reckon if we get him out we can put an end to it, make sure no one gets hurt." - "I would rather you just stayed clear of anything, because I don't mind giving you a little bit of a hell rising if you try anything," sounded a voice behind them stepping closer. Elena had overheard Jolene and Quentin's conversation from standing behind them, her arms crossed. She didn't look like someone who could do much, but she could do enough. Just like Jolene, she was more than just a pretty face. "You want me to get you out of here?" Elena's eyes looked to Hannah, a bit concerned. "I think you should just keep your nose to yourself," Quentin took a step forward closer to Elena, but Elena wasn't going to just let him stare her down.

Julianne watched carefully as Elena confronted Quentin, which couldn't be any good, and the last thing she really needed was to get Diego involved in this. Because, if Quentin made a move on harming Elena - it was for sure going to cause complications, and there was only so much she could do to save Quentin's ass. That forced her mind to another factor, what was Elena doing here with Griffin? "Quen, back the fuck off," Julianne warned from distance, but it didn't stop the starring contest with Quentin and Elena. "Shut up Jules," Quentin hissed. He was beyond furious right now, but seeming like Hannah wasn't going to let him too close to Elena, he had to put matters into other hands. So tabbing into the string that made the acquaintance with Elena and Frederik, he fueled it with hatred. Making Frederik see Elena as an enemy.

Nicole almost felt Aleks had made it inside the room, her eyes moving over to him almost by the second. She loosened herself a little bit from Griffin taking another sharper breath in looking over at Aleks, taking a few more steps over seeking his embrace. "It's my siblings," she whispered a bit almost not believing it, but she knew. She just didn't know how to deal with the fact of them all standing there.

Griffin didn’t let his siblings take too much of his attention, besides from Nicole. She looked confused and he sensed that it was about him having to hide that made things difficult to understand. She had so much trouble remembering everything about her original family that she couldn’t even piece the things together. He eyed his siblings shortly. He had needed to hide from the family; from everyone so he wouldn’t be found, because he knew, that if anyone saw his face, hunters would come after him. “I was threatened on my life, because I changed when I tried to find you” he said as low as he could, hoping that people wouldn’t sneer in the conversation. “But that’s for a private conversation, okay?” he said softly, but knew quite well that that might be satisfying enough for her questions. “Our family is hunting the supernatural” he tried to elaborate, hoping it would satisfy something.

Frederik glanced towards Zitora as she had sent him a very forward message. “It’s okay,” he breathed out. He didn’t mind telling her that he would like Nicole to take these things in whatever speed that her and Griffin found the smartest. They had to walk on careful feet not to push something bad forward.

Hannah lost Quentin’s hand and it felt like someone took her training wheels away from her, leaving her to support herself and learn by mistakes. One of them being here. Jolene approved of the idea that Quentin had with getting Griffin outside and put an end to it, so no one got hurt. For once, it was a brilliant plan. Jolene was quick to look behind her as someone seemed to interfere with their conversation. Jolene immediately disliked this woman. She looked so weak and puny. No match.
Hannah immediately looked up at girl who asked if Hannah wanted to get out of there. She was just about to nod that she would very much like to get out of there, but Quentin stepped forward, clearly shutting Hannah’s mouth, which had only just opened a bit to reply. Instead of actually replying, she went directly to signlanguage holding a folded hand up next to her, with a raised pinkie and swung it towards herself, signing that yes she would like to get out of there. She had no idea whether or not if she could sign, most people couldn’t. Hannah even tried to put a hand on Quentin’s shoulder to tell him to step aside, or simply just to help her. Every single movement she made was driving her crazy. There was so much going on.
Jolene on the other hand didn’t have to step up to anyone. She just needed everyone to be safe from the two supernatural brothers. If the darkhaired girl wanted to be in her way, Jolene wouldn’t hesitate to get her out of her way. Julianne then interfered with Quentin’s business telling him to back off, as if the darkhaired girl was of any importance. Jolene gave Quentin’s twin a glare, which was far from impressed. “What about you go home and watch Annika. You know she can’t afford to lose the only parent she has,” Jolene pressured and also tried to poke some sense into Julianne. “You brother can’t be here. He’s a danger to everyone,” Jolene hissed. She talked about Griffin and not Quentin. She wanted Griffin gone – forever.

Aleks saw how Nicole looked at him almost immediately. She sought to his embrace, which he immediately gave her. Siblings? he furrowed his brows a little, because what he had witnessed so far, all of these siblings were playing cards against each other trying to fuck the relationships up. “I know this might not be what you wish to hear…” he said eyeing her siblings and their plus ones. “But I don’t like them right now,” he whispered.

The relationship between Frederik and Elena got filled with hatred, which made him tense up a little and glance more over at her. He was at a social gathering and wouldn’t do anything stupid yet, but he knew that the calm façade he carried might not stay when the two of them was alone, or something alike. For now, he managed to keep himself collected.

The bluntness was quite much for her, and she widened her eyes up as she took a deeper breath in. Threatened on his life? Because he tried to find her. It was for a private conversation, she nodded, of course it made sense to have something that extreme hidden or waiting till there was less crowded. Nicole took another and even sharper breath in. Our family hunting the supernatural, she blinked a little "excuse me what?" She clicked her tongue feeling a bit haze. So, these people. Her biological family were hunters? She moved her hands to her stomach, feeling nauseous just by the thought. It was too much. "This is... a lot," Nicole confessed licking her lips having her eyes search for Aleks in the crowd again.

Elena did understand sign language, one of the things her friend Maya had taught her - even though it was a while since she had used it and the first time she actually had seen it where it wasn't just practice. But this wasn't her scene and Quentin knew that, but she knew what it was like to be overwhelmed and just wanting to get out of a situation. Julianne switched her gaze to Jolene as she made a comment, snorting a bit before stepping up in front of the blonde human, before throwing a slap across Jolene's cheek. "How about you just stay out of my family's affairs? huh? Don't try to tell me where my place is again," Julianne raised an eyebrow, clearly done with everyone's bullshit for the evening. "Julianne!" Quentin grabbed Julianne by her left arm and pulled her back almost letting her fall back into a table behind her. Quentin then walked closer to Jolene listening to her statement. She was right, they needed Griffin out of here. "Agreed," he mumbled looking shortly back at Julianne, then moved his eyes to Frederik. Hopefully the use of Quentin's power could set something off, if he could just make Frederik poke Griffin, they could take each other out.

Nicole finally in Aleks' embrace felt how everything was about to go down. It didn't look good, far from. "What is going on?" She asked carefully and looked back at Aleks. She took a deeper breath in, the feeling of hopelessness started to poke her, making her generate more hope, she wanted to give them the the feeling that, what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. Wanted to eliminate these bad vibration that came from them, letting them settle down. If these people were her family, they could at least listen to her? Or no, she didn't have the status to do so, at least she thought so. "Hey, can we just please stop this, you are making a scene," she spoke a little louder, given all the people that were already starring at the entire family.

Elena moved her eyes over to Griffin walking closer to him, feeling this hatred still poking at her. "Something is wrong," she whispered looking up at him. "Can we get out of here?" Elena then asked taking a sharper breath in. She could feel the energy in her palms being sparked by the hatred towards Frededrik, hatred that hadn't been here till suddenly. Zitora seemed to realize it as well. "Quentin!" She turned around looking at the guy, almost having him look scared for a second, surprised by the yell. "Undo it. Now," she demanded, clearly not asking questions. Quentin raised a brow, trying to play it cool for a moment. But the longer he starred at her, the smaller he felt. "Okay.. okay," he neutralized the bond between Elena and Frederik.

Griffin was glad that Nicole understood that it was a topic for private ears only to talk about why he couldn’t find her. What had distracted him. Nicole was quite shocked by the fact that her family were hunters, and by the way she moved her hand to her tummy, Griffin was quick to place a hand on her shoulder. “Do you want to leave?” he asked as he sensed that her eyes were looking for the guy that she seemingly had been with.

A loud sound was heard from the collision of Julianne’s hand with Jolene’s cheek. Jolene moved her jaw a little as her gaze had ben changed before she looked back at Julianne who was rambling about her family affairs. Jolene had helped Frederik once, but only because Elenora had been in danger, and she hadn’t wished for any harm to Elenora. “You’re the devil’s daughter,” she sneered, but Quentin was quick to pull Julianne away, automatically making Julianne have Jolene’s mercy. Julianne didn’t know what Jolene had done, clearly. What she had risked for her family.
They were going to take the supernatural brothers out one way or another, most importantly right now was the youngest of the supernaturals. He could cause so much harm with the speed he had, and the oldest of the brothers would only be trouble depending on how much magic he could.

Aleks closed his arms around Nicole. “They’re plotting against each other,” he whispered to her, feeling how the hope she had started to spread through the crowd, which made him pull on a slight smile, even though he knew that it was a sign that she wasn’t comfortable. Things were going to be alright, she even asked them to stop making a scene.

Griffin frowned a little as he immediately could sense something was wrong with the calculations around her. “Something is definitely wrong,” he groaned a little and wrapped an arm around her, hoping it would make her feel somewhat more comfortable.
Zitora suddenly yelled making Hannah cover her ears. This was too much, and she started to back away. This meeting was way too much for her. Frederik’s eyes were looking judgingly at Quentin wondering what he had done, but as soon as Quentin agreed and undid it, Frederik could feel the difference, and was not cool with it. “Did you just mess with Elena and I?” he barked. A loud crash was heard as Hannah stumbled into a waiter and fell front first down into a glass table, resolving it to break and both of it hitting the floor. The glass pierced through her golden sensitive skin. Both her hearing and the ability to feel touch were on their way to get overstimulated and it didn’t take long before the sight joined in, noticing how the glass shards shined differently in her skin depending on the amount of blood there was on it. How could one be so clumsy?

Griffin immediately got extremely tense as soon as the human girl collided with the floor and her skin was torn. If no one was going to try and stop him, he would run over to her and pull her off the ground so he could drink from her.

Did you just mess with Elena and I? Quentin made a small shrug, "so what If I did?" He frowned a bit, just a second before the crash sounded and he turned his head to the side. It only took a few more moments before chaos once again unraveled in the hall. As an evolved human, Elenora had noticed the supernatural about Griffin the second he stepped into the room. All of them were after all trained and highly trained hunters, and she was an evolved human, it would be a disgrace if she didn't know. "Griffin," she yelled after him as if it would make any difference, but using her wind powers to slow him down, while running up to stop him, "Nora" Julianne yelled after Elenora. Everyone knew it was stupid trying to rush to stop a vampire who only saw blood. "Get her out of here!" Elenora yelled back to someone, anyone really. Elena knew she was the fastest here, and quickly teleported to Hannah, grabbed her and teleported her to the nearest hospital, before teleporting back to the gala. Like hell she was leaving Griffin there. and it only took a few seconds later. Hopefully getting Griffin into a more clear mind with the blood source out of here, but there was still blood on the floors, on the glass, on Elenora's hands from having quickly grabbed Hannah.

Nicole looked to Aleks with an nod, they should get out of here before things got crazier.

He heard his name being spoken, but it didn’t touch him. He was too far gone. Griffin was slowed down as he tried to run towards Hannah. Elenora was using her powers against him, and things were being calculated as he ran. How dangerous was it to get close to Quentin and Jolene? How was the possibility up against his strength, speed, and hunger? Would they even dare to get in front of him?
As soon as Frederik has heard the clash with someone, which caused blood to spill he quickly started to mumble a bit. He was lucky that he had recently used this spell and mispronounced it, and therefore did the same again. The floor by Griffin turned more and more into sand and tried to swallow him – or at least slow him down.
Hannah only got into a slight state of panic before she was teleported to the hospital and immediately taken into care, since she was bleeding all over the white floor.
As soon as Hannah was gone is target just turned to the nearest blood vessel; being Elenora or Jolene, since they stood so close now – but Elena came back. She had carried Hannah while she had teleported her to the nearest hospital, and Hannah’s blood had therefore spilled on Elena, so instead of going for the two best friends he redirected his focus to Elena.
Jolene was quick to step in front of Elena, in a stance which would take most of the speed. He hope filling the air made Jolene trust her instincts. She stretched one arm forward to let her hand clash against Griffin’s throat. Her hand was filled with holy symbols as tattoos and made with holy water. The vampire clashed perfectly directly into her hand, ruining his airpipes a bit and making him screech in pain as it felt like his soul was leaving his body. She flipped her purse, revealing a crucifix, and smacked it onto the side of his head. This wasn’t going to kill him – but it hurt like hell. Jolene could feel how the arm that had taken the greatest hit needed to be seen by a doctor, but for now, she just clenched onto his throat like if it was a matter of life and death. He was in so much pain, that he couldn’t even move. His legs even buckled under so he sat kneeling in front of her.

Aleks started to back away with Nicole ever so slowly as they clearly had agreed that they were going to leave this party. If it seemed like they had an open shot he would find her hand, instead of just holding an arm around her, and run for it.

"Fuck," she hissed the second that Griffin turned his attack towards the girl he had been tagging along with him, running towards him to try stop it, not caring much if she was wearing heels - you learned to run and fight in heels in this job. Jolene was closest to the hybrid standing in front of her, again with Jolene and her holy symbol flex, but like always it worked wonders. If it hadn't been her brother, perhaps she would have appreciated the effort more. But she had to confess for a small moment, she saw the vampire more than she saw Griffin. But she hadn't seen him in what ten years - ten years was a long time, none of them were the same as back then. But Elenora snapped out of it the second she saw how terrified Elena looked. There was a kind of energy shaping around Elena that made everything around her shake. "It's not his fault," she almost cried out closing her hands into a fist not to unleash all the energy that threatened to explode. Elenora walked up behind Griffin and closed her eyes for a second before she placed her hands on his neck, and with a precise and swift movement snapped his neck. Allowing them at least a handful of minutes if not more till he woke up from that. "We don't kill him, we help him," she looked Jolene in the eye, as she was serious about it. Elena walked carefully over to Jolene and Elenora, and the knocked out Griffin. She took a deeper breath in and sat down next to him, looking up at Elenora. "I can get him away from here, I know where he lives," she informed Elenora, before moving her eyes over to Julianne. If Julianne told Diego about this, there was a whole other debate waiting in the future. "I will come with you," Elenora breathed out. She could handle vampires, and she could handle her older brother. If he lost control and it was just Elena, she wasn't sure she could handle it. "Well this was fun guys, let's do it again sometime," she sighed looking over at Frederik with a nod to the fact that she had this handled. Then Elena teleported herself, Griffin and Elenora home to Griffin's hut in the mountains, getting him into bed till he woke up.

Zitora walked over to take one of the bottles of champagne and lifted it to her lips, a glass was not enough at this point. She took a few sips before handing it to Frederik in case he needed something to swallow the drama. Julianne took a deeper breath in and walked closer to her brother and his girlfriend. What a bloody mess of a gala this had turned out to be.

As soon as the neck was snapped, the vampire fell onto the ground and Jolene let go of everything near the vampire, letting her hand grab around her arm that had stopped him. She had made such a mess with her arm, and she probably needed to take a little time off to make sure that her arm wouldn’t get completely ruined. She wouldn’t want prosthetics. Jolene pulled a little smile as Elenora explained that they didn’t kill him, but only helped him. Honestly, that was about what Jolene had aimed for to. Or at least make sure that no one in the area got hurt by him. Rather her than civilians. Jolene narrowed her eyes a little as the girl Griffin had arrived with explained she could get him away and knew where he lived. Jolene was tempted to follow, but was quite sure that if she suggested, Elenora wouldn’t agree. After all, Elenora had seemed quite shocked to know that Quentin and Jolene had gotten married. Jolene wasn’t to be trusted anymore, right? Jolene’s eye found Elenora’s as she said she would come with them. Elenora was ready to leave, but so was Jolene “Let me go with you,” she insisted even though her arms probably needed rest rather than making sure that Griffin didn’t do something stupid.

Frederik nodded to Elenora and would let her leave. He felt how Zitora walked away which made him look over his shoulder and found her lifting a bottle of champagne to her lips. He huffed a little and took the bottle as she gave it to him. He agreed that a glass wasn’t enough and simply put the flask towards his lips. He handed it towards his sister, so she could get some too if she needed it.
