It had been around a week now, since she had gotten back to Gaia, only to realize that time didn’t stop after you died. So, expecting to come back and everything was as it used to, that had been a very big mistake. Maybe that was one of the good things to just throw yourself into work, she had been very surprised on how quickly she had gotten the job, after a couple of days she had understood why. Even if the pay was amazing, it was physical exhausting. She had already a few bruises from breaking up a couple of fights between students. To think that they didn’t have more to worry about than being called stupid names.

Well in the end she needed it, and it was in the end something she was good at. From the age of five till she was fifteen she had been trained in all kinds of martial arts. Something she had kept up, also after she had gotten accepted to attend Athena Academy, there it had been one of the best teachers she had ever had. Something she still carried with her and trained very day to keep herself and her techniques sharp.

Walking around in her own thoughts, she looked up and saw that there was still a light turned on in the pit. Her brows furrowed in the middle; everybody was supposed to be in bed.
She walked quickly towards the building and opened the door only to be met with image of a half-naked man training in his lonesome. Wait, she breathed in and picked up, absolutely nothing, what? She started wreaking her brain before it hit her. The Thunderbird, or was it cryobird? What was his name again, Jack? Teacher in thunderbird history and martial art. She walked towards him watching his foot work.

“You do know that light should be out by now, right?” she said with a teasing voice putting her arms over her chest. Well, it was a rather nice view or show, if one could be so brazen. “Even if you are a teacher”

First, she just looked at him when he very cheekily she might add said that he didn’t care. But then she let out a bark of a laugh, it was the first time in ages someone had made her laugh that hard. It only lasted a couple of seconds before she shook her head and gave him an impressed smirk. He was good, she could appreciate that. “Right” she said and nodded and walked around. The zipper of her jacket was heard as she pulled it down and then slid out of her heavy leather jacket and put it on a table. After that she took of the vest she was given as a protection against the student’s magic, she put it over the leader jacket an in the end she pulled of her shirt leaving her only in her very tight black sports bra.

“Well, since it seems like you are destroying a lot of school property, and I’m kind of hired to not let that happen, let’s make a proposal” she walked back to him with a wide smirk on her lips “like there is a lot more constructive things you could try to hit, and maybe it would help your frustration if that thing hit you back –“ She squared her shoulder a little, it was clear this was a woman who took great care of her psychic which for a lot of men could be a little of putting. But this was more about her wanting to let of steam just as much as he clearly needed.
It had helped with a night out, taken a beautiful woman home. But getting to let ones anger out in a stickly professional fight? What could be better.

She liked the fact that he didn’t speak much. There was always something very calming about a person that just got straight to the point, not fiddling around with words. Unless it was said in a demining and cruel way. She huffed a little over her own thoughts, it was clear how raw it all still was for her, even as she should have seen it coming, even as It should be alright for him to move on. The fact that he had to be so damn thick headed and just want to belittle her with the fact that she couldn’t just come back if nothing had changed. No, she shouldn’t keep thinking about it like that, it just made her madder.
In need of blow off some steam yourself? he pulled her out of her own thoughts and she gave him a quick smile as her eyes followed his tone body until she met his eyes.
“Well, I’m always looking for a way to blow off steam, but yes, in the sense of me being a little build up with annoyance for this shitty universe, I have a lot of steam that needs to get out” she mused giving him a toothy grin.

She weighed her options on what to do next. And ended up with pulling her hair back into a ponytail. Luckily for her she still had a hairband around her wrist.
“Now, how you want to do this?” she asked “Sticks? Or are you more a hands-on guy?” she couldn’t really help it, she always been very aggressive in her way of showing her interest. And when she wasn’t showing interest, she still didn’t really know how to turn it off. Most people got used to it.

“Oh yeah, lets us describe it as one giant dumpster fire, hot and very smelly” she smirked and licked her lips, hands on? Well, she wouldn’t mind, some of the best ways to get to know a person was to learn how they fought.
What did they protect, on how would they try to take the other person down. Some would actually be surprised on how much you could learn from a persons’ mindset and how they carried themselves in life, just by how much force and how they landed their punches.

“Very well” she said with a teasing smile. Selene started flexing her fingers before she pulled her fingers into two fists, she pulled her arms a little back and checked her flexibility. Her brown eyes followed his movements, took his body in this time more in a professional demeanour. Deep breath, and then she started out with swinging her arm out in a punch, that he parried easily, next punch same story. Testing the waters, she threw a few punches before she drew a little back dancing around him. He was good, very good and she could understand why he was teaching Martial arts.
Another deep breath and she started trying to him again, got parried and parried back. If she didn’t know better, she would almost say that they were dancing. Then she felt how his fist connected with her stomach and she stumbled a little back. A wide smile spread over her lips; it had been a long time since someone had gotten her. “Alright” she said gleefully, before she threw herself at him with her full force, not holding any of her punches back.

She felt like a teenager, or more like a puppy did when they finally were let out of its leash and could jump around in the garden. Her own smile grew intact with how her pulse razed and sweat started gliding down her muscles and back. Everything was going well, he was a formidable opponent, but he didn’t get punches in where it actually hurt. Until she felt how his knuckles collided with her jaw. She took a few steps back, and let her arms drop for a moment before she ran a few fingers over her lip that had slipped. At first, she looked angry, which was mostly just a default setting for her, before her brown eyes lit up and a laugh escaped her lips.
“I need to say Jack... that is the first time in a long time, that anyone has gotten me like that in a sparring match” she spit some of the blood out feeling how her chest was trying to follow her fast her beating heart was going. This had to be one of the best evenings in a very long time.

“Alright, no more holding back” she said with an almost girlish giggle before she ran straight for him, again picking up a faster speed in her punches and kicks. After a while, she tried in a movement to try to kick his legs away from him. Making him crash to the ground so she could pin him to the ground.

Even as their fight might had come to an end. But the tension in the room hadn’t gone down one bit. Selene dark eyes loomed over the man underneath her, he had brought a fire back to her that she hadn’t felt for such a long time.
A slight smirk formed on her lips as her eyes darted down to his lips as they curled into a soft smile, if you weren’t careful, you would almost miss it. There was something about him, that she couldn’t quite put a finger on. Maybe it was the fact that he had just started fighting her. Just like that. Without even question her motives. For all he knew she could have fought dirty, and he would have been kicked back on the other side of the room. Even as she knew that there was more power behind him that met the eye.
The coldness around his body made her slight hot skin cool down, but the passion on her? Did not. She wondered, if there were just as much stubbornness and fight in him, when he wasn’t in the ring. A question that pulled her towards him like two polar opposites magnets pulling towards each other she leaned down and pressed her lips towards him.
Why? Because she could, and she was curious if the passion in their fight dug deeper than that.

A jolt of electricity went through her body as he reciprocated her kiss putting his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. Maybe it was the animal in her that spoke with his, an understanding of both wanting to let go for the moment and not care about what the world around them would think of this. The funny thing for her was, how real this felt and how it drew her thoughts closer to those she had had before her first death. The carefree Selene that did what she wanted, what her instincts told her to do and not really caring if it would end up being the wrong thing.
The wolf that had been there to protect her pack with her life, and now she had nothing. She had never felt as alone as she did know, and it was somehow like this was what both spoke through them in how they melted together in a kiss. A small noise of surprise left her nose as he turned them around. Her eyes open as he drew back, and her left eyebrow rose if asking what now?
But she knew what she wanted, and since he didn’t look like one that was about to stop her, she swung her legs around his waist, placed her hand on his neck and pulled him closer to her. Her lips crashing towards his, clearly still feeling the passion between them maybe even more than she had done before.

A slight chuckle left her as she broke free from his lips to get back up for air, she licked her lips and took in a deep breath “Well, that was something” she said in a slow and out of breath voice. Her heart was pounding, and, in some way, she didn’t want to stop know. But she was still on duty, and they were on school property.

Selene had always been faithful, almost to her own downfall. So, after coming back to Athena, realizing that everything she had thought she still had was in ruins? It had broken something in her, that even after so many deaths hadn’t been able too. She didn’t know if she would ever be whole again, and if anything could fill the void and aching pain forming in her chest. But just as the thunderbird felt like she shut of the voices in the head telling him about the chaos and problematics about his life. So, did he hers.

As their lips pulled apart her eyes slowly opened, looking into what felt like ember fire of passion and slight confusion of what had happened. But he agreed with her, which only jolted a new fire inside of her as her fingers played along the line of his hair. She was just about to say something, when he swallowed her voice by placing his lips over hers again. She buckled her hips towards him, not able to withhold the passion that was slow burning inside of her, almost threatening to burn her if she wasn’t careful. They weren’t supposed to do this. This was against so many rules, and she couldn’t afford to lose this job. But at this moment? She didn’t care, because he almost felt like a part of her. If it was a slight missing piece in a romantic setting, she wasn’t sure. But she also knew, this thing right here? Wouldn’t be the last time.
