| Date: 12 - 03 - 2021 Surroundings: An alleyway, trashcans, cats eating of the trash, a few lights from the street lamps. Weather: Raining weakly and the sky is covered by grey clouds, still able to be seen in the dark. Time: 23:05 OutfitA Topic dedicated to @KayneMaybe this was out of his league. Mayyyybe he was over his head. But, oh, how he wanted this to be a success. Kayne. The first pureblood vampire. A gem for a vampire hunter to kill. Everyone said you needed 100 years of experiences. Mono was going to try with only 17. His heart was pounding so fucking loudly in the silent night. Only the rain and his heartbeat could be heard. Which should not be the case with a sensitive and everything noticing vampire like Kayne. Calm down Mono. He is just a vampire like the others. You can do this. His thoughts was running wild while he just sat there waiting in the dark. Kayne had often been seen here. Either hunting or whatever. No matter what, Mono was waiting for the vampire to appear, by walking past the alleyway. Then he would follow him and wrap the thin iron threat around his neck. One snap and it would be over. He smirked and allowed the need of hunting vampires overrun his mind. |

| Kayne... Had actually already hunted tonight. In the park - a lonely girl had been walking around, and it was all too easy for him to lure her in, use his compulsion to prevent her from screaming, and then calmly feed from her before he'd let her go on again, healing the wounds on her neck before letting her walk off.
But here he was, walking through the light drizzle of rain, dressed in a black shirt, black jeans, and a leather jacket, checking a few things on his phone as he walked down the alley. He did hear the sound of a frantically beating heart, but truth be told, it wasn't too unusual. A lot of people were frightened at this time of night, walking back home - so he didn't think too much of it.
He did, however, notice hearing steps behind him, and put his phone back into his pocket just as he felt the iron thread cut into the skin of his neck - but it didn't get further than that. The blood that welled to the surface quickly turned into hard, red crystal - impossible for the thread to cut through. Reaching up, he easily snapped the iron, before turning around with a small snarl leaving his lips... Pressing the young man up against a nearby wall. "And just what do you suppose you're doing, hmm?" he asked, looking into the eyes of the guy as the small wound underneath the red crystals had already healed back up, quicker than your average pureblood. |

| It did not go as planned. Far from. The pureblood of course noticed him, only to press him up against the wet wall, making his spine feel the cold caress it. Mono hissed lowly, only to stubbornly look into the eyes of Kayne, before smirking, releasing the broken thread. It silently felt on the ground. “Hunting you obviously,” he answered cheekily. Before he let the pureblood answer, he brought out his spear from the belt, using the none pointy end to push Kayne away from him. He had no idea why. He used the few seconds they were apart, to jump away, swinging the spear around, ready to stab it into Kayne´s stomach and stun him, in time enough to kill him. The wet ground was not the best fighting terrain. But the human had in mind to do his best and not give up. A pureblood vampire was a price he could not get past him!

| Kayne merely huffed and rolled his eyes, then smirked, hearing that the guy was hunting him. Awwh, another cute little hunter thinking they could get the best of him? They really should know better than to take on someone who had lived for just about 9 millennia.
He did let go of him when he was pushed away - as he opted to let the spear penetrate him... Not that he showed the least bit of pain, no - instead, this meant that he had the guy as close as he wanted him, as Kayne quickly reached out to grab around Mono's throat with one hand, squeezing to deprive him of oxygen as he lifted him a little, knowing that the guy needed that air... Unlike himself.
"You really thought a spear is enough to deter me? Please. I've been caught by an arch angel before, tortured with holy water and everything that comes close to it. This is nothing. You might call yourself a hunter, but you should really have a lot more practice if you hope to win over someone with almost nine millennia of practice," And then, he took his other hand up to grab at the spear lodged in his stomach, snapping it in half before pulling it out of himself again and throwing the broken pieces to the ground, as the wound left behind slowly began healing up. |

| No, he did not believe a spear would be enough to kill him. He had expected it to stun him and then he would be able to make the last blow in another way. As a classic marvel or any other villain, Kayne grabbed Mono´s throat with one hand, squeezing it to make him dizzy or maybe kill him. Luckily for Mono, he was trained in holding his breath in a long, long time, in case this should happen. Kayne was milking the fact he was an old vampire. Telling Mono, he needed even more practice if he should ever hope to take down someone like him. Again, without saying a word, he grabbed a silver dagger, dipped in holy water, from his belt and stabbed it through the arm of Kayne that was holding him up. If Kayne then released him, he would quickly pull the dagger to him again, place it back in his belt and then pull out a cross. He hated using this method so much, since it made him feel like an insane Christian. Slowly he started to walk backwards, keeping the cross high and close to himself, in hope for Kayne to stay just a bit back to Mono could catch his breath again.

| And the moment Kayne felt the sharp sting of the knife - or well, not the knife itself, as silver wasn't a problem, that was a werewolf thing and not a vampire thing - but the holy water... He hissed, all four fangs clear to see, the eyes those that clearly betrayed his vampiric heritage as well, as he not just let go of Mono, but actively threw him away, straight into the wall as he stepped back, feeling the holy water still sizzling away inside the wound.
When he looked over at Mono again, anger was evident on his face, and he was just about to step closer again, to try to get eye contact... When the cross was lifted, and broke his line of sight, as well as feeling quite uncomfortable to look at, like if a human looked straight into the sun, that kind of uncomfortable, causing him to sort of shield his eyes and take a step back again. Dirty tricks... But at the very least... If Mono seemed like he was going to attack again, then he could now actually use the fact that he, himself, was bleeding, for his own advantage - as it made it much easier for him to make more of his blood crystals, so he could, in an instant, make a small shield of it, to block incoming attacks. |

| It was working. GREAT! He knew damn well that silver did not hurt vampires. But for some reason, he had insisted the person who had created his weapons, that they should be made of silver, just in case if a werewolf should get any funny ideas. But the holy water. He adored that water in situations like these. He smirked and kept the cross lifted, not lowering it by any chance. If he did, he had a feeling that it would be game over. and how ironic would it be if Kayne was the destined vampire to kill him. "Not so cocky now are we?" Mono asked and slowly started to walk closer again. "Maybe you shouldn´t milk the whole... I´m the first vampire thing, it does not suit your pretty face." Since Kayne had ruined his spear, he had to use the dagger, which meant getting way closer than Mono´s liking. He grabbed the dagger from the belt and then ran up to Kayne, ready to stab him in the heart. The only killing move that could get a vampire down. Or... yeah. One of the only ones. But, just as he was getting close, another vampire came up from behind him, grabbed around his throat and threw him hard down on the ground. with a loud grunt, Mono dropped the cross and was now having the face first down in the ground. The vampire looked up at Kayne. "Bothered by a hunter I see?" The vampire was clearly a young one. a follower and admire of Kayne. One of the first vampires. |

| And if Mono only knew just how right he was... The moment there would be the slightest lowering of the cross... Kayne would look him in the eye and use him personal little ability of compulsion... And once people were caught in that... It was game over. Even for people who usually didn't get affected mentally - as his ability, over time, had grown strong enough to break through those little mental shields some people had, too.
"Shut up." he hissed, doing his best to keep his anger in check, taking a step backwards... "But thanks for the compliment," he then said, his tone and smile quite sarcastic, to the whole 'pretty face' thing. When he saw the guy running, he had been just about to make his shield - before that other, younger vampire came to his rescue. Just from the scent alone, Kayne could tell they were a created one, not a born one - but no matter, all vampires heard tales of the elder ones, like Kayne himself, sometime... And this help was quite perfectly timed.
"Indeed. You couldn't have had better timing, kiddo. Thanks." he snickered, and now, walking over to Mono, he kicked the cross far, far away, before kicking the guy in the side, to make him turn over on his back, too. "Oi. Up here." he then said, and if Mono looked up at him - that was all it took, as he would then look him directly in the eyes, to use his ability - "Take our your knife and throw it far, far away. And any other holy objects you might have." |

| The vampire nodded with a snickering laughter and sinister smile. “No problem, it seems you got it under control now, but if you need me… me and I my crew is just around the corner,” he told Kayne, before looking shortly at Mono, huffing and turning around. Mono on the other hand, still a bit dazed from the hit, tried to get up again, only to be kicked in the side. This made him turn around, just to Kayne´s liking, so he could use his powers on him. Powers to control a other individual. There was nothing he could do for now. He sat up, threw away all his weapons and holy objects. In the meantime the word FUCK had crossed his mind more than a hundred times. As much as he could, he tried to look away from Kayne´s eyes, and get out of the mind control.

| "Good to know." Kayne said with a crooked smirk, watching the guy leaving before he'd turned his attention on the hunter, kicked him in the side and forced him to remove all of his weapons.
"There we go... To use your own words... Not so cocky now, are we?" he then said, raising an eyebrow. "I really ought to just kill you right here and right now. Bring this little game of cat and mouse - no, more like cat and insect - to an end... So come... Give me a reason not to. I'm curious to hear what you'd have to say about it." it was always interesting to hear which angle someone would take - whether they'd go full defense, or beg for their lives... |

| This was humiliating! Had he been way to over his head? Was this firstblood vampire way too much for him to handle? He coughed from the kick in his stomach. Luckily for him, his healing powers immediately cut in and not to be seen by Kayne´s eyes. for that time, he just laid still on the ground, waiting for the vampire to finish his sentences. This was a vampire who without a doubt liked to play with his victims. Give the monster a reason why not to kill him. To that he could only chuckle lowly. Because what could he say that would make the vampire spare him? Nothing. Kayne was playing with him and probably hoping for Mono to beg for his life. “Go fuck yourself,” he only said and now fully healed, he jumped up with one leg swing, and as soon Kayne came close he would kick him in the stomach. Here he sat in a run, out of the alleyway and away from Kayne. The rain was slowly starting to purr down. Mono needed something to hit Kayne with. Or maybe he could break something out of tree to make a weapon as well. Juuuust to hit the vampire in it´s none beating heart.
