Into the past we go.

She had made sure to make it perfect. “Crisps” for the englishmen and popcorn for her and Cetas. Not that the others werent allowed to eat anything else, she had bought enough of everything. Everything had been placed in bowls and out in her living room on the sofa table, ready to be eaten. She looked up at the clock and exhaled deeply. 15 minutes. Darren lazily stepped out of his room, “Are you actually serious about this sleepover Es?” He asked with a confused frown, lifting his hands up in the air as Vanessa gave him a warning glance. “This is mental, innit,” he mumbled to himself, going back to his room to change into something a bit more suited for a sleepover - A tank top and some sweatpants.
Vanessa was wearing a babyblue and white striped pajamas, which was more fashionable than comfy. She had picked out a few movies that they could watch. Cetas would be late as always, if he was going to show up.

Ethan had been out of the apartment for once, he usually always stayed there all day, but Emma had insisted on them going out to spend sibling time. He had groaned and accepted, but the whole time he was really just wanting to sleep. Vanessa kept him busy in the nights, but he didn’t mind that. What he minded was that he was a night owl that had to battle his morning person of a sister. Halfway through the day he had gotten a text about a sleepover, biting his lip as he at first thought it was just for him. However when Emma had gotten the same text he knew it was a real sleepover. Emma had gotten excited, dragging Ethan into shops to get pyjamas for each of them. ”Stop being a baby,” Emma said, pushing Ethan into a changing room so that he could try one she had picked out. Why were there ducks on it? He rolled with it, trying it on to please his sister, but in the end he had no real choice. It was getting about five, Ethan had promised to bring back some pizza, ordering a few different ones and paying with some of the hard earned money he had. Sure, Vanessa had coin, but he was not about using her like that. It was enough that he and Emma were practically squatting at her place. ”We’re home!” Emma called into the apartment, carrying a couple of bags with items she had bought.

Vanessa was still going around, cleaning and making sure everything looked perfect, even as Emma yelled from the front door. Darren had seated himself on the couch with his hands in his poclets. He knew that something had changed between Emma and him since the whole fight with Cetas, but he just choose for now not to think all that much about it - Even though a part of him was telling him to get up and greet them. “Alright geezers, come on in, then!” He yelled from the couch, earning a slap on his shoulder from Vanessa. “Wot?” He asked her in utter confusion as he then laughed and turned his eyes to Ethan and Emma that walked in, pointing at Ethan, “Fucking showwww us the pajama, yeah?” He said with a big teasing smile on his lips, Vanessa looked up with curious eyes and a partly intrigued smile.

”Smack ya gobba will ya!” Emma laughed, shaking her head at Darren’s yell, already knowing it had cost him a hit on the arm. She came into the living room shortly, dropping off her handbag as well as another small bag that she handed Ethan. Ethan groaned and looked displeased as Darren pointed at him. He lifted the bag shortly, considering throwing it at him and hitting him in the face, but Emma was quick to grab his wrist. She raised her eyebrows at her brother and he groaned, shaking his head as he walked into the bedroom. Emma chuckled, shaking her head as she gave Darren a quick look before she disappeared into his room. They hadn’t done anything yet, besides her kissing him more than plenty. She didn’t know where they were, but she had pulled herself into her own mind. She changed, a light blue pyjamas, looking almost like a sailor. She had picked it because the top had a cute sailors bow, then came out into the room. ”Ethan show us!” she yelled at her brother, giggling as she grabbed a few popcorn, tossing them in the air and catching them with her mouth. Ethan groaned, stepping into the livingroom, wearing the duck pyjamas. ”Ducky!” Emma said in a childlike voice, walking over to pinch his cheeks. He scoffed pushing her away. ”Now ya had ya bloody fun, yeah – now where’s ma clothes?” he said, looking from person to person. He had planned on taking a normal set of clothes, but there was nothing in the bedroom. ”Which o’ ya fuckas did it?” he said.

Darren was enjoying Ethan’s displeasure at the situation, having read his mind about the pajamas before any of them had gotten to say it. He noticed Emma’s quick look and turned hisbeyes to her with a short smile over his lips as she walked off to the bedroom. Just looking at her made butterflies flutter inside him and he wasnt sure how to feel about it. Vanessa noticed Ethan’s displeasure as well but she wasnt going to interfere, wanting to see where it would lead. Emma had shot her a text about finding him some pj’s and it was obvious that he wouldnt keep them on, though they clearly were required in the invitation, so she made sure he would only have that to wear. When he stepped out, both Vanessa and Darren burst put in laughter, Darren finding it hilarious while Vanessa found it endearing. As their hot tempered friend shifted his eyes between them, Darren raised his eyebrows before he shortly lifted his eyes to Vanessa who then looked at Ethan, “I did,” she admitted, walking over to him as she had a sweet smile on her lips. She looked up at him before she looked at his duck-infested pj’s. “Cute,” she mumbled before she looked up at him with a big smile.
Darren turned his eyes to Emma, turning his body around as well, “You good?” he asked, looking into her pretty eyes. He could always just read it himself if he wanted, but he would rather hear it from her.

Ethan looked at Vanessa with a betrayed look in his eyes. He shook his head, moving his jaw from side to side as he stuck out his tongue a bit. ”So it be like that, yeah?” he said, raising an eyebrow at Vanessa. He should’ve known what that invitation would mean. Especially the way Emma behaved. She had always been bad at keeping surprises and mischief like that. He exhaled, grapping Vanessa’s hand, leaning down to her ear. ”I’m going to get ya back,” he promised in a sensual low tone.

Emma chuckled, sitting down next to Darren, pulling her legs up to sit crosslegged in the couch. Popping another popcorn into her mouth as she chuckled at everyone’s reaction. She looked to Darren as he looked at her, sending him a faint smile as she nodded. Her attention then went to Vanessa. ”Quit ya snogging; what movie we watching?” she asked a little excited. She had never been to a sleepover like this. She adjusted a bit at her shorts, grabbing the elastic around her wrist with her teeth as she made a quick ponytail to get her hair out of the way.

“You’re stuck in it,” she said to confirm his words, feeling quite proud of having set him up in a way like this. She found it even funnier when he seemed to have figured out that he should had seen it coming. She squeezed his hand gently as she lifted her other hand to touch one of the ducks, as he leaned down to her ear. His promise made her cheeks flush in a soft pink colour as she swallowed slowly, turning her head to meet his eyes, “I’ll look forward to it,” she replied with a small smile as she leaned closer to him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. It was easy to get lost in his kisses and soon she found herself locking lips with him again, just as Emma told them off. She made a sharp inhale as she moved away, having forgot to breathe for a second. She chuckled and looked up at Ethan. She lifted her hand from his chest, gently dragging her finger along his lower lip as she turned to Emma with a swirl and a big smile on her lips. “We have three candidates. We can waaaatch...” she looked at the dvd’s and then threw them behind her back right into the trash, “Whatever we wanna see on netflix,” she said as she jumped on the couch, grabbing the remote as she handed it to Emma. “New bloods are in control of the remote,” she said, Darren scoffed, “Since when have we ever done that?” He asked - “Since now,” Vanessa said.
“Es, you cray but I like you,” Darren said shaking his head with a small smile as he then looked at Emma. “Better pick a good movie,” he said, but he didnt really sound that doubtful. He pulled a blanket off the back of the couch, pulling it over himself as he started to feel a little cold. Darren always got chilly so easily, he found it quite annoying at times. He grabbed a bowl and leaned back into the couch, turning his eyes to Emma.

Ethan gritted her teeth at her, staring into her grey eyes with a challenging look. It was going to be like that. He was going to get his revenge, but plotting had never been his strong suit. He noticed the pink color sneaking over her pale skin, making him wish the others in the apartment could just disappear so that he could be alone with her. Her lips were soft, and he suppressed a groan as he felt her deepen the kiss, his hands moving around to hold her at her hips, pulling her closer to him. He heard Emma’s words, watching Vanessa only as she chuckled at him. The way she could touch him, and for the love of God he was wearing loose pants. Yeah, no way to hide that shit if she kept doing what she did. He let Vanessa talk, sitting down on the floor that Vanessa had decked out with pillows and blankets. It was rather cozy, and he honestly didn’t want to be in the couch if he was going to be able not to tell Emma off.

Emma chuckled as she took the remote, bowing her head as if she had been handed a sword. She turned on the TV, quickly going to the Netflix menu. She felt Darren move a bit, feeling the blanket brush against her bare arms. Without saying a word she snuck her feet under. They were cold, but soon they would get the heat they needed. She scrolled for a bit, seeing so many titles that she recognized, but even more that she didn’t. ”What are we in the mood for?” she asked, feeling like she had been put on the spot. Emma wasn’t really a movie expert; her knowledge went as far as children’s animation and a few of the classic rom-coms.

She couldnt help but try to steal as many kisses as she could, she needed them to function - Or so she felt like. As he sat down on the floor, she crawled along the sofa till she could reach him, gently rubbing the back of his head with her fingertips. She looked to Emma as she asked for a mood and scrunched her face a little, “Practically anything... But shrek,” - “What! Es, that’s a golden classic, yeah?” - “And I’m tired of it. Something else,” she told Darren that scoffed and shook his head in disbelief. Vanessa smiled a little to sjow that even though she had spunded quite serious with her words, she hadnt meant them like that. Darren moved his hand under the blanket and grabbed a gentle hold of Emma’s foot. He rubbed the front eith his thumb as he felt the lingering cold under her skin. “Just pick something good and we’ll like it, innit? E, whadda ya think?” He said with a small smile. Vanessa slowly moved down the sofa to crawl into Ethan’s arms while everyone was trying to figure out what film to watch. Darren wasnt going to suggest any as he still hadnt told anyone about how he liked movies that had romance involved.
