| It was raining. It had been such good weather the last couple of days, and people had enjoyed the summer heat - and then just like that, it changed. Flipped around. Alec had been at the academy the whole day, helping his old friend Levi settig some things up for the new school year. However time had caught them and it was getting late. Alec being Alec, he wasn't bothered by a little rain, even through it fell down quite brutally. Almost supernatural. There wasn't a lot of people out in this weather, and the ones that were - they were easy targets for creatures hunting at night fall. Alec went through the park, it was the easiest way to get home. However he sensed something. The racing heartbeat not long away from him. It made him narrow his eyes and trying to look forward. He saw someone running, and then it hit him - he knew the heartbeat. It would take forever for him to even understand how he knew, he just simply knew it was her. He couldn't sense much of the following hearts - other than they were vampires. The rain and darkness made it unsure for him to know if she was harmed or unharmed - he knew it would be optimistic of him to assume she was okay at this moment. Alec found him self forgetting his surroundings and just teleport himself closer to the scene of the crime. And he was right on time, he showed up just as a vampire was about to grab Ash. Alecs magic made him appear in the space right between them - having the vampire grab his neck instead of the human. He mumbled a few words, making the vampire let go of him as the creature crumbled to the ground begging for him to stop. He grabbed Ash hand and looked over her shortly. " You alright?" He asked worried and returned her eyes to the angry tribe of four vampires. The one followed to the ground got up. " Witches.. so stupid," hissed one of the vampires arrogantly. Alec snorted and looked at them. They licked their lips and showed off their teeth. " Vampires .. always so arrogant," he mumbled a little and looked at all of them one by one. He carefully watched them, to make sure not to underrastemate them - just because he was older, it didn't mean he was better than everyone else. "Just go away already - no one needs to get hurt," he warned them. One vampire stepped forward, but stopped gasping for air - or what looked like it. It didn't take long before he was falling to the ground - and his body were turned to grey - frem the chest blood was dripping out.. Alec had wounded the vampires heart, leading him to his death. |

| The rain was pouring down from the heavens like God was ascending a wrath on the city. Ash was running. Running. Faster. She had to run more. She slipped on a wet stone, falling forward and breaking the skin of her knees. No time. She got up, feeling the chok in her body. Run. Fast. Away. She didn’t know who was following. She barely got a good look when they played with her, pushing her around like she was a chew toy. God she wished this was a nightmare, but the pain in her knees told her otherwise. She ran to the park, stumbling over the soft grass. She turned around as one of the guys following her reached out for her, stumbling backwards and falling flat on her behind. She scrambled, fear had made her forget everything about her abilities. She closed her eyes, the water so heavy on her body as a light made her squint as she opened her eyes. Her jaw shaking as she saw who it was, taking his hand and getting to her feet. Her knees were shaking, in such an agonizing pain that she hardly noticed it. She stood a bit behind Alec, holding his hand tight as she was shaking. Answering his question was out of the option, her vocal chords tied and all she could do was stare at the guys. ”We just wanna play,” one of the guys said, clearly the leader of the group. His eyes not moving away from Ash, clearly breathing in her scent. He lunged forward, managing to push Alec away and grab a hold of Ash, pinning her to the gound. Two other vampires moved over to keep a firm grasp of Alec. Ash let out a gut wrenching scream as the vampire pierced the thin skin on her wrist, squirming to get away. The vampire moved his lips from the wrist, licking his lips as a droplet of her blood ran over his lips down to his chin. ”Sweet like honey – she isn’t your mate, right? You won’t be affected,” the vampire chuckled, piercing her arm another place, as if she was nothing but a thing to toy with. Ash felt her vision blur as she screamed again, her kicks getting weak. |

| Alec wasn't stronger than them. At least not compared to the vampire strength, and in the rain their movements were heard to track for his vision. He was pushed away and hit the ground as the two other vampires jumped on him. Alec hissed as he heard her scream. He filled the anger boil in him. Alec was usually calm, or good at hiding the storm that was under its way. "Get the fuck off her," he yelled, but the heavy rain lowered his voice to the sound. They were right, she wasn't his mate. It didn't matter. She was innocent. "Clearly, you have never played this game with a Sinclair before," he mumbled a little to himself. He cast a spell, making the vampires holding him burst into flames. They screamed running off him, before they were turned into dust. Alec got up and breathed out. Alec moved over there quickly and grebbed his hand on the head of the remaining vampire. He used his other ability to perform neuropsychic surgery on the vampire, slowly shattering the creatures mind - forcing him to let go of Ash. Once he was sure the vampire was nothing else than a piece of nothing, he turned to Ash and sat down next to her. "It's okay. I'm here," he assured her and looked at her wounds. He needed to get her out of here, but using all of his abilities so much as once - it wasn't good when he wasn't use to be this extreme with them.
He however had never been the selfish type, and gently picked her up in his arms. Alec looked around, no more vampires seemed to be coming. Which meant he could get out of here without killing anymore. At least for now. "Just relax, I got you," he said with a calming voice. He listened to her heart beat, making sure it kept on beating. He teleported them back to his house not far from the park, but it was the fastest and the most safe. He laid her down on his bed, he didn't care about the sheets getting covered in blood. He felt his head spinning a little, bit it didn't matter. Alec quickly walked over to one of the shelves and took out a little jar and opened it. He took something out and put it on her wounds. "It might feel a little cold, but it will stop the bleeding and the pain a little," he felt his body tense up in worry. He sat down on the bed and took her hand. He could slowly help her body gain back what it had lost in the fight. But all magic had its prize, and he was slowly starting to bleed out of his ears and his nose. He gave her a little tired smile. He moved his free hand over the side of her face and caressed her cheek gently with his thumb. |

| Ash felt her body battle inside, but outwards she was laying mostly motionless, mostly thanks to the calming agent in a vampire’s teeth. Nothing she knew off, but soon she felt the piecering pain in her arm disappear and she felt arms lifting her up. Everything was blurry, colors and shapes that mashed into something incoherent. Had she just died? Ash had never been a believer in the afterlife, but it sure seemed painful. Her arm felt torn to pieces and her vision still hadn’t regained fully. She heard his voice, and it somehow calmed her system enough not to black out. It felt like she was being moved, but she couldn’t be sure, not until she felt the soft fabric against her. His voice was there again, and she whinced as he placed whatever made her feel cold. She whimpered a bit, feeling drowsy as she felt his hand in hers. She gave him a weak squeeze, but he probably couldn’t feel it, then she felt his hand against her cheek, making her smile tiredly as she was slowly dozing off.
When she finally awoke the next day the rain was still pouring, only knowing it was day because of the time. She sat up, looking around, not recognizing the bedroom. ”Alec?” she called out, seeing as she had dreamt of him, it made the most sense. She moved around as the memories from last night seemed to paralyze her, making her stare into the room but seeing nothing but what her mind showed her. One word stood out; Vampire. She swallowed, slowly returning to reality, but feeling less safe. She moved out of the bed, her knees still wobbly as she tried standing up. She leaned against one of the bedposts, hoping she wouldn’t just fall over. ”Alec,” she mumbled.

| As she dozed off, he used his magic to dry her and quickly got her cleaned up. Then he got up and walked to the kitchen to get some water. Alec took his wet and bloody shirt off and put it in the washing and walked over to the window. He wanted to make sure no one had tracked her blood. Not that they could get in, he had learned a few tricks from Rebekah, and that was locking the house magically. He sat on the sofa, and tired falling asleep there, but was worried about him not hearing her heart beat if she needed anything. So he pulled a few blankets out and placed on the floor on the other side of the bed and laid down there. Alec closed his eyes and let himself fall asleep to the sound of her heart beating. He was knocked out from using so much of his abilities, reminding him he needed to use them more often not to get out of practice.
Alec he reacted slowly to the sound of his name. He opened his eyes and looked up. Before he said anything or had the chance to he could see her feet on the floor on the otherside. Ash called out again. "Over here," he spoke with a little hoarse voice as he sat up. He looked at her with a soft smile. "I'm right here," he got on his feet and walked over to her. "How are you feeling?" He asked and gently took her arm shortly to see her wounds. They were closed, possibly leaving a scar if he didn't heal it better. Alec didn't want to let go of the soft skin, and looked at her. His thumb softly stroke over her skin, before he let go and looked back at her eyes. But his other hand had gently its tender grab on of the blonde locks and felt the softness between his fingers. He then forced himself to let go again. He knew he might overwhelm her, and despite that being the last thing he wanted to do - he felt the need to just hug her, so he did that - he wrapped his arms around her. He kissed the top of her head. Letting her deside when to push him away. Alec had been quite scared in the moment. Ash was important to him, he couldn't describe why. It wasn't a mate thing, it was a him thing. She had crawled under his skin. |

| Ash felt a rush of relief as she heard his voice, watching him as he came closer. Had he slept on the floor the whole night? She felt bad now, because looking at him he didn’t look well rested. His hand on her arm made her look down, seeing the faint puncture wounds and swallowing. What had happened? Things seemed like a blur, but she was slowly realising what had happened. Her brain seemed fragmented, slowly piecing together the happenings from last night. She could just feel her body being exhausted. He let go of her arm, her hazel eyes turning to look at his blue as she wondered what he was thinking. She felt that he had a hold of some of her hair, but she could barely do or say anything about it. That was when he pulled her into a hug and tears started falling. She had never been much for touching, but his embrace felt safe. She felt like he could keep her safe from everything the world would throw at her. She whimpered a bit against his chest, slowly moving her arms around him, grabbing at the back of him, feeling his skin warm and inviting. Ash was the type of person to depend on others, hope that they could help her and that she could trust them enough with her worries. She had told nothing of the past three years to Alec, but she didn’t need to. It was like he understood without her needing to explain, and that alone gave her an immense sense of security. ”I still don’t understand,” she mumbled against his bare chest, breathing in his scent as it seemed to calm her down. |

| She didn't push him away, he wanted her to feel safe. Alec only wished he had been quicker or had been there to prevent what ever had happened. Despite his wishes, he knew that he couldn't change the past, and what ifs wouldn't do him any good. So he just simply took the win in the fact, that he was holding her in his embrace right now. He wanted to make it better, just take her away from this world while it was still able - but she had already been here for quite some time. And after last night, he couldn't keep the secret anymore. He didn't want her to feel like she was going crazy. He remembered the first time he saw magic and demons for the first time - it was centuries ago, but he still saw it as some of the clearest memories in his mind. Alec knew she didn't understand any of this. He didn't expect her to. This world sometimes caught him off guards as well, with hybrids and new creatures around the corner. For a second he was thinking about calling Levi or Clarissa - both of them would and could do an excellent job at telling about the supernatural. Alec, could as well, but he was a witch - a warlock. She had seen him do a little magic trick, but she had abilities on her own. Maybe he made a bigger deal out of it than it was. He knew opening her mind to his reality was a dangerous thing, or it could be. "I'm gonna explain everything to you, I promise," he whispered in her hair and closed his eyes for a little while. He gently stroke her back comforting with his left hand, just holding her close. He took a deep breath in and breathed out. "You are safe in here," he assured. With a spell like his, it would only be Rebebah or someone who was immune to magic - which was rare. |

| Explain? What was there to explain? She found it so confusing and it just made her worry more. She tugged at him, pressing her face against his chestbone as if it would help her hide away from the world. As if as long as he held her close nothing would happen. Stay in the moment, she told herself, but her mind was racing with things. Memories and experiences jumbled into one thing making her want to pull her hair out. He said she was safe here, but was that true? Was she ever truly going to feel safe anywhere? No, those scientists had taken any hope of safety out of her system, twisted it and showed her that rest was not something she could. She pressed her eyelids together in a hard motion, hugging him closer as if if they merged, she wouldn’t have to feel this pain. But she wasn’t ever safe, her mind and memories would make sure of it. Any inkling of safety, relaxation, it would all go away and she would be left broken and empty once again. She had found something in Alec she couldn’t deny, but was it what she needed? Did this feeling really have the power to make her feel better? Could it heal her haltering heart? Once she felt a bit better, she pulled out of the hug slowly, letting her fingers fall down the side of her body. It felt like she was hurting more now she wasn’t holding him close, but she couldn’t do that forever. That would solve and explain nothing. She sniffled a bit, looking up into those blue eyes she had grown to trust over the past few weeks. They were so different from anything she had seen before, but awfully familiar to her. ”Vampire,” she mumbled the word that was in her head. She had heard him say it the night before, and she hadn’t thought anything of it, but now when she looked at her arm she saw two cresent moons, white and they would probably become scars. |

| It would be insane to anyone who wasn’t grown up with it. He had told people about the supernatural before, and the outcome was always different- some people were believers and others weren’t. Alec looked at her when she pulled slowly out of his embrace. He kept his eyes at her, feeling like he could see all the confusion in her mind, but he didn’t look. He gave her a little nod to assure her, that her words were right. “ It’s quite the long story. I think you need coffee for it” he gestured her to the sitting room, by having his hand gently placed on her back. He was unsure of how stable she felt on her legs. And maybe he wasn’t fond of letting her go just yet. He used his magic to brew some coffee out in the kitchen, but she couldn’t see it from the sitting room. “ Are you hungry? I can make .. a sandwich?” He suggested. Alec was an excellent cook, when he had something in his fridge or had time to prepare something. And he knew he could text Alison about a magical food delivery. He let go of her and walked out to get the mugs with coffee. He remembered how she had ordered it last time, and put them on the table. He then walked out to get a plate of fresh food, some melon and pineapple - Levi would strangle him if there wasn’t pineapple if he casually visited. Alec also grabbed two glasses and a pitcher of water. Then he sat down next to her. |

| Ash felt his hand linger on her back, and it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling. It made her feel like whatever was going on was alright. It was alright to be confused and scared in a moment like this. A long story. She exhaled, feeling like maybe a long story would take her mind off of some things. The way he spoke to her was with such care, nodding as he asked if she was hungry. She felt her knees still wobble a bit as she stepped into the sitting room, moving to the dinner table. She sat down on the chair, pulling one leg up on the chair and rested her cheek againt her knee. She looked at the room she was in, her hazel eyes almost searching, but for what she did not know. Smelling the coffee made her sigh. She always had her coffee black, unless it was a cup before bed, then she would add milk. Closing her eyes she just listened for a bit, hearing him move around was nice. It gave her a sense of not being alone. She opened her eyes as he placed the coffee down, pulling her mug to her. She rested her chin on her knee, running her index finger along the rim of the mug. She could look a little childish sitting like this, but it was like she always curled up into a ball when she had the opportunity. She looked at him, awaiting him to speak as she continued moving her finger around the rim. Her other hand reached out, grabbing a piece of melon, inspecting it a bit before she took a bite. The sweet taste of the melon spread in her mouth, making her nod, signalling she was ready to hear it all. |

| Alec took his mug and took a sip of his coffee, it depended a lot of his sleep how he took his morning coffee or if he even drank coffee - sometimes tea was just fine for him. He watched her taking a piece of melon, and he took a piece of pineapple - thinking about taking a picture just to tease his friend - but right now wasn't the time. Alec took a deep breath in, knowing he would have to explain last night quite slowly. It wasn't like he could just start with vampires, and that was it. If she had been hunted by vampires, the chance of demons or werewolves was quite huge. Maybe she just had a way of luring trouble to her doorstep. There was still a lot he didn't know, and lots of darkness around her - but he didn't need to know any of that. He didn't want to read her like a book, feeling like he would skip to the end and miss out on all the good pages. "Vampires are real," he breathed out, after serval years on this earth - he knew how stupid that most sound to human ears. "All the myths you have watched movies about, and read in stories. They are, at least most of them are - true," he scratched his neck and put his mug down "I know it sounds like im making it up, but I promise. I don't - I wish it was something I could make up," he assured her and moved his blue eyes back to hers. He took a deep breath in awaiting her reaction to the bomb he just threw at her. |

| Alec was someone she found comfort in. Sure, he could speak a lot, but it was part of the deal. He spoke of everything and nothing whenever they spent time together. She liked that she didn’t have to say much, she liked hearing his accent and how he pronounced words. She took a small sip of the hot coffee before she turned her eyes to look at him. A bit thankful she had placed the mug on the table before he spoke as she felt her body go numb for a second. She heard every word he was saying, but it was accompanied by a ringing tone as well. She blinked a few times, finding this hard to process, but his eyes told nothing but the truth. Swallowing she looked down, frowning as she thought. Frankly, she wanted to scream, run around like a headless chicken, but she had learned how to behave herself. ”Myths, so like vampires and werewolves and …” she said in a weak voice, finding it hard to wrap her head around. She shook her head, biting her lower lip as she closed her eyes. This had to be a joke, a bad one, but still a joke. Opening her eyes she searched the blue eyes that looked at her so intensely. ”Are you … A vampire?” she asked, frowning as she felt herself a little scared now. Had their friendship just been an elaborate way of seducing her for her blood? |

| The cards there out on the table, and now it was time to play them right. He was surprised by how she was handling it. Not that he had expected her to freak out on him for saying this, but things like these could be hard to process. So freaking like this, wasn't bad either. It meant she took the time to rethink every word that he spoke of, or something similar perhaps. He wasn't sure what went on in her head. Alec shook his head when she asked if he was a vampire. "I'm not a vampire," he confirmed with a little smirk. "I couldn't like without the taste of coffee," he pointed out and grabbed the mug again to take a few mouthfuls. Alec took a deep breath in. "I.. I am a warlock, witch- what ever people label it as," he sighed and scratched his chin a little. What could he do, just to show, that he wasn't just joking around. "Tell me one thing you want to appear, any object you can think off -" it was the first thing that came into his mind. He couldn't show off fangs, claws or glowing eyes. He had magic unlike many others, and he wasn't sure it was going to convince her. Alec knew he could just turn an object into something else, or something crazy - but he knew something crazy wasn't what she needed right now. Alec took yet another mouthful before he put the mug down again. "I'm serious. Come on Ash, trust me - one thing. Just the first thing crossing your mind," he added with a little grin. Alec liked his magic, it wasn't a secret - but he also respected the powers he had. |

| Not a vampire, he said, and she felt herself breathe a bit more calmly. That was until her brain decided to wonder what he was then. Swallowing her spit, she just looked at him, shifting between his eyes. He finally said what he was, but she just furrowed her brows, scared what he meant when he said words like witch and warlock. It sounded like taken from a fantasy book she had read as a young girl. It was like the mere thought of fantasy books being real could break the full reality she had built over her years of living. It gave her the twisting sensation in her stomach, like she was going to throw up. Her lips seperated as he encouraged her to say what she was thinking of. It took her a second to even gather her thoughts enough to speak, feeling like her vocal chords wouldn’t act to her command. She swallowed again, hearing him encourage her once more. She looked down to her fingers, picking at some loose skin around her thumb. The first thing that came to mind? ”Calisson,” she stammered. Why was she thinking of a candy all of a sudden? She felt even more confused but awaited what he was going to do. |

| Alec frowned his brows for a small second by her choice, but not that he judged it. It wasn't like he gave her much choice. He took her hand gently, and placed his other hand on top of hers. He mumbled a few words and then he removed his hand once more. He lifted one of his brows, "Tada," he tried to humor things up a bit - not that he thought he had or would have much success. "I'm sorry - this most be, overwhelming and weird," he scratched his neck a little and took a deep breath in. "I assure you. I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable or anything. Its just, I want you to be safe -" he looked a bit away not sure why he was so out of words. Usually he had no trouble just talking, but right now he felt like he didn't make any sense. Not to her or himself. "- And knowing all the facts.. will be safer than not knowing," he added and scratched his cheek a little nervously before breathing out. His heart skipped a few beats. Alec wasn't the type of person to get nervous, or step carefully about how people saw him. Somehow the way she was viewing him, meant a lot. He had this feeling hitting him a few times, but he usually stepped away from anything like that. Since he had turned into a witch to save his life, he had been connected to Rebekah. Then when she died, he had been bound to a new soul. The thing had been going on like that. Alec had stepped away from anyone what would be his mate, in fear of them being dragged into his family mess. However, he never forgot the feeling. The feeling of wanting to belong to that specific person. It cause the first time he met her. As people in history would say; the person he belonged to had been dying. He felt that. But after years and years avoiding meeting them - the price was to feel when they died - knowing he could have been there, but he wasn't. He believed they were better off without knowing him. He looked at Ash and took a deep breath in, as the burning feeling turned to his collarbone. Magic like his made it easy to turn invisible for others, but he felt it. And he knew right away, where that specific person were and who she was. And he was looking right into her hazel eyes at this moment. |

| He hadn’t even needed to say anything, she could smell the almondy scent as soon as it appeared. She looked at the tiny candy, moving her head down to breathe in the smell of it. It smelt like her childhood. She soon moved her hand over to place it on a plate, as it would get sticky if she kept holding it. Her eyes drew back on him, watching him as he spoke, feeling herself a little scared now. She looked at him, not sure what she wanted to say, her lips seperating as she tried reaction to what was going on, but she felt rather frozen. Instead she chose to look at the mug, the steam moving slowly up from it and filling the room with it’s calming aroma. She was silent for a while, trying to think of something to say, but she really couldn’t. ”All the facts,” she mumbled to herself, looking at the mark on her wrist. It was starting to bruise, making her frown as she looked at it. She bit her lower lip, moving her finger along the rim of the mug as she tried making the puzzle in her head add up. ”How many?” she asked, not really sure what she meant herself. Basically she just wanted to know what she was up against, how many different races that excisted and how many lived around her. She felt her pulse rise a bit, scared and confused was how she had felt for so long, but this was a different kind of fear. It was dread. |

| Alec pushed the witch side of him a little away, hoped he could think just a bit more clear. He was usually pretty aware of the world around him and its people, and he hated things like magic influencing his actions. Because he knew how he felt right before, that didn't change - it was just simply the double of what he expected by this very moment. He was one of the lucky ones, having ages to control this thing Rebekah had cursed him and every single witch after him with. Ash asked how many, he didn't know what she meant. "Of?" He frowned a bit, "species?" he guessed and looked a little out in the room. Could he even count the amount of species he had met in his life. "Species are a little like animals.. and plants in that way, I don't think there is a number for it," he admitted and listened to her heart. Hating the way his words effected her. "I understand if you want to scream at me for saying all this.. you most think I'm a deranged idiot or something," he added in a small sigh and looked away. "but I would never lie to you," he quickly said before and looked back at her once more. "I was.. what you would call human once too. I couldn't do anything magical - and I never forget when I was told about all this being real," he told before grabbing his mug again to take a mouthful. |

| Ash exhaled, running her hand over to her other hand, rubbing her tattoo on her middlefinger. It was a bad habit of hers, people who knew her, knew it was because she tried to stay in the moment. Tried not to drift into worry and pained memories. No number. Infinite? It didn’t help her dread. Her heart was beating a slight bit faster than usual, but she tried keeping her face void of emotions, however her eyes showed a whirlwind of worries. She looked at him, searching his blue eyes before she moved back to look at the mug. ”I guess I’m just trying to process it,” she mumbled, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath as she kept running her thumb over her tattoo. It took a while, she just sat there, trying to keep her cool, but it was hard when it suddenly felt like the world was caving in. ”I won’t become one, right?” she whispered, her hand shaking a bit. She didn’t want to change, become what had bitten her in the night. |

| Alec gave her a little nod. "Take all the time you need," he added with a hint of a smile. He wanted to do something, but what? He couldn't do anything to ease the situation. Learning about something that had been on the marked in movies and novels for the past years - it wasn't easy to sell to humans today, because they for ones tended to romanticize everything supernatural because of the written word. Science was another topic making human believe there wasn't such thing as vampires or werewolves until something was proven - and it wasn't because vampires was lining up to give their dna. He snapped out of his own mind by her question and shook his head. "No. Its a more difficult process," he still remembered when his granddaughter was turned into a vampire. The first turned vampire, as if the purebloods weren't bad enough on their own. Alec had never been fond of them. They were created by magic, and he still searched for a way to undo that terrible spell. "If you add garlic into your daily meals, just one meal.. it will keep them at distrance. Or - "he got up and walked to one of his shelves. He took out a necklace and moved to another shelf. " Vervain can prevent their abilities.. and if they touch it.. it will make their skin feel like its burning off.. so," he put some vervain in the necklace with a spell. " As long as you were this, it will keep you from being a target." He handed it to her before sitting down again. |

| She felt a bit of relief, watching him as he got up and spoke of things to prevent vampires. Looking at the necklace, she felt a bit speechless, mostly because it looked so old. Her hazel eyes found his blue as she slowly got up from her seat, walking to a mirror to place it around her neck. She touched the shape of it, reminding her of a heart and stared at herself in the mirror for a bit. She looked a mess, her hair in a couple of knots and her clothes rather desheveled. Then she turned around to him, ignoring the look she had in the mirror and went to him, wrapping her arms around his neck. ”Thank you,” she whispered, feeling like she could cry. He was being too kind, way too kind, but she felt like she could rely on him. His knowledge could keep her safe, right? She hoped, but tot her even hope came at a cost. She pulled a bit away from him, looking at his face up close, she felt her heart beat faster. There was a bit of fear in the rythm it made, but there was also something like excitement. She moved away from him again, feeling torn inside by her emotions as well as the things that had happened. The things that had been revealed. She stood idle for a while, feeling the pendant between her fingers, the scent of the vervain was pleasant, almost calming to her. ”It doesn’t hurt you, right?” she asked, suddenly scared it would have hurt him. |

| He watched her movements as she walked to the mirror and put on the necklace. Alec liked watching the way she moved, then she walked back to him and hugged him. First taking his breath away by the embrace. He put his arms around her and just held her close for the time it lasted. Feeling her pull a bit away, making him long for the seconds to last longer. He felt his heart beating faster by being this close to her. He could lean in to kiss her, to feel her lips upon his - but their touch remained a mystery to him, as she moved away. Alec took a deep breath in and felt his heart beat to hard against his chest. Her question made him force himself, to make his heartbeat slow down. "No, it doesn't hurt me," he assured her with a warm smile. He took a deep breath in. "Anything else you would like to know. It's possible I have books somewhere about a little bit of everything," he admitted. Alec liked to write and read about other peoples experiences with different creatures. "That is if you like to read," he was quick to add. If she didn't like reading it could be quite heavy stuff. |
