@Lucille <3 Oh how he hated going to the rich part of the city. It was as if being humble wasnt a thing for most here, flaunting their riches through the windows of their apartments. John wasnt the typical window snooper, but things just stuck out, caught his eye as he had walked down the street with a couple of men. A rich guy with ties to Umbrella hadnt held up his end of the bargain and John as the brute that desperately tried to uphold the Umbrella image was having none of it. Dragging the guy out in the alley, not shy to silence the man before pulling him out into the open. As much as he wanted to send a message, it was supposed to be discreet. John and his men all looked like a couple of thugs with their hoodies pulled over their heads to hide their faces as they laid out a fine little bootparty for the rich man. He whimpered and cried while shoes rained down on him like had the rain taken the form of heavy dumbbells. John stepped back and pulled his hood down as he exhaled deeply. He felt the soulsabers power going crazy at the evildoing and he had to take a break. He turned his head as he caught a glimpse of a girl, furrowing his brows in dissatisfaction. There couldnt be any witnesses and definitely not a person that had seen his face.

Lucille had had a crazy year so far. Breaking up with her long term boyfriend had been a good choice, especially considering she had caught him in the act with another woman no less. Donovan was not someone you just deleted from your memory. They had been together for so long, since her teens, and now she felt a little alone. Was that weird? Lucille had stayed with her mother mostly, but had slowly returned to her line of work. Some people would call it freelance modeling, but she mostly did some obscure stuff. She liked it when it was weird silhouettes and fun colors. She was walking home to her mother’s as she heard the loud stomping. She turned her head, looking down an alley and spotting as a male with dark hair looked at her with a stern look. Furrowing her brows she moved on, shaking her head at what she had seen. She knew her father was the leader of a rather big mafia, but she had not grown up in such a violent invoronment. Her mother believed in tough love, but it was hardly what those thugs had been up to. She swallowed, skipping a bit faster as she could hear someone follow her. Lucille was not often easily scared like that, but her heart was beating out of control. She turned a corner before she stopped and turned around, looking directly at the demon that had followed her. ”I-I didn’t see anything,” she said a bit startled. She wasn’t looking for trouble, far from it. ”Please,” she said, looking up at him with her blue eyes, light as a tropical ocean.

She was quick to leave, but just the thought of having been seen at the scene of the ongoing crime was enough to make John go after her. He was a tall man with long legs and she hadnt seemed all that tall in the glimpse, so catching up to her would be no big deal. He narrowed his eyes as she turned at a corner and followed, only to meet her at the edge of the corner. He looked at her with a neutral face, even though his face normally looked rather welcoming, that wasnt applied to this situation. He scoffed at her words and shook his head, "It's what they all say," he muttered as he studied her face. She was a pretty girl, probably too pretty for her own good. He lifted his hand and made a firm grasp on her arm as he furrowed his brows, "No witnesses," he said in a monotone voice, almost sounding like it had been a order he was given as he started to pull her with him back. He thought it was a shame, but couldnt really bring himself to feel different, to him she was just an unlucky bystander. Something in his mind reminded him of another time like this, before he had turned dark. The thought made him grit his teeth.

She didn’t like this. Her heart beating in fear and her breath becoming unsteady at his mutter. Lucille froze as he grabbed her arm, her eyes looking at the demon with pain and pure fear. ”Please,” she whimpered, trying to pull her arm away from the demon, tears appearing as she couldn’t get loose. She hated being weak, she hated that this stranger touched her. ”I’m going to scream,” she said with a weak voice, but he could without a doubt see what race she was, or at least smell it. Lucille looked at the tall demon, watching him grit his teeth. She closed her eyes, trying to calm down, but it was if it made it worse. She was shaking at this point. ”I just want to go home,” she pleaded, opening her eyes to reveal a few tears. She hadn’t cried in weeks, as she had felt more cynical lately, but she was slowly getting back to being herself. ”Anything you want, I’ll get it, I .. I just can’t leave her .. She’s alone, she has only me and my brother,” she pleaded.

The pain and fear mixed with the blue of her eyes. He had seen it before, in someone else, someone he once held dear but didnt dare think of. He had to keep his head cool, "Scream and see what happens," he dared her with an annoyed tone. With all the time he had spent with those bawling subjects of Umbrella, staying as a simple guard while Dexter unleashed his hellish experiments on whoever, he was used to this. Way too used to it, if you asked him. He kept pulling at her even if she fought him, he wouldnt budge nor stop. He plea made him groan and shake his head. Overall he was getting tired of listening to her already... Hadnt she mentioned something that seemed like a mother. He stopped, staring ahead for a bit as he frowned deeply. He turned his eyes to her and shifted between them, feeling a conflict lurk underneath the ice of his otherwise cold heart. "I'm sorry about your family," he said in a genuine tone before he turned back and started pulling at her again, "I'm not gonna repeat myself like a dumb fucker," he said. No witnesses.

She had just said she would scream, but his daring tone made her vocal chords tie up. She felt herself become more frantic, her eyes darting around in search of someone who would see this scene. She knew it was lat, but this was Midnight Street for God’s sake! As she mentioned her mother she couldn’t stop a tear from falling as he said his condolences. She followed, trying to pull away from him, but a banshee could hardly match the strenght of a blood demon. ”A goodbye? I could tell her I’m going back to Paris for a show?” she pleaded. Could he really deny her a simple goodbye? ”Please, my mother has lost too many children, I can’t bear the thought of her losing another,” she begged, looking up at his chocolate brown eyes that seemed more cold than any eyes she had seen before. ”After that, you – you can do with my corpse as you please,” she whispered, her lower lips quivering as she feared this moment.

Her plea made him tighten around his eyes and grit his teeth as he suddenly stopped and looked back at her, annoyed the hell out of having to stop once again. He lifted his grip to her upper arm, pulling her closer as he looked into her eyes, "Say goodbye? Go to Paris? Then what, next day she finds you dead on the news?" he asked, feeling angry that she would fool her mother in such a way. The way she begged made him more angry than it was to her good. He shook his head at her beg and looked into her eyes, "Sometimes mothers lose their children with no fucking goodbyes. It's just how it fucking is," he snapped at her, as it was something that he knew all too well. It hadnt been many months since he had to kill his own sister in the downfall of Umbrella, and he hadnt even told their mother of her demise. For all she knew, Jocelyn was still alive out there somewhere. It pissed him off. "Just shut the hell up before I kill you right here and there," he hissed, turning back to pulling her again, this time harder than before. When they got to the alley, the rich man was barely moving as the men stood there and waited for John. One of them made a disgusting smile looking at the girl, "Oh I love when they're women," he said. John was quick to just punch him for those words, breaking his nose in an instant. "Say that again and I'll break your face even more," the blooddemon said, holding onto the woman. "She's coming with us, we only need him to be here," John said as he motioned with his hand for them to leave. He grabbed a strap from his pocket and closed it tightly around her wrists. "If you run, I'll kill you," he warned her with serious eyes as he let go of her hands, before he turned her around and pushed her ahead.

”Then why don’t you? Do you enjoy seeing people squirm as you lead them to their deaths?” she asked with a confused expression. He kept on threathening her, but if he really just wanted to kill her he could have done that already. Being pulled and pushed was not something she liked, it felt like being treated as an animal. As cattle. Was he just doing this to amuse himself? He didn’t seem amused, but people had always been good at hiding their true emotions. The off-handed remark about her gender made her shutter in fear. She preffered the blood demon’s coldness to the bruteness of this new character. A small gasp escaped her lips as her hands were tied, reality hitting her like a tonne of bricks. The blood demon warned her yet again, making her swallow as she moved forward with his pushes. ”I don’t understand,” she whispered in disbelief to herself. Lucille was not daft nor thick headed, she knew that everyone met their end eventually, but was twenty years to culminate in this moment?

"It's all about plans and orders," he mumbled in anger. He wasnt enjoying this, not one bit. In fact he was just pissed off at the fact that another girl had been at the wrong place at the wrong time, like his life was a god damn loophole. He couldnt kill the girl the first time, but would this just be another girl that he couldnt kill? Just the thought annoyed him, he wasnt supposed to feel distressed about a random girl yet again. But her talk about her family seemed to have moved something inside of him, yet he hadnt made his decision. But one thing was certain, she wouldnt be allowed her freedom, not after seeing his face. Umbrella was supposed to be feared by people, unseen by the media to keep it's good image in the world. He pushed her to a car where he shoved her in the backseat. He would have used the trunk, but knew that with all the social media guidance on kidnapping, it would be better to keep her in sight. Not that he was that good with social media, he had been shown his way around by his sister, when she was alive. He looked at her in the rear mirror, "Act normal," he commanded as he stared at her light blue eyes. He turned on the car and started to drive away. Soon someone would find the rich guy, if he was lucky he would live. "You're scared of dying." he said as he glanced at her in the rear mirror, turning his eyes back on the road, "How old are you?" he then asked, not that he cared that much but it was quite a long drive to the cemetery.

How was she supposed to act normal when she was getting pushed around like this? She got placed in the back seat, shuffling to get more comfortable, but the ties on her arms were hurting. She was not a big girl, rather petite. She closed her eyes, imagining this was all a bad dream, just to keep her sanity. The car roared to life and safe to say, she jumped a bit. As she opened her eyes she saw the brown look at her in the rearview mirror, her eyes flickering, darting all over to try and distract herself. ”Aren’t everyone?” she whispered. She had always said she wasn’t affraid, but deep down she knew. It wasn’t really about the thought of dying that scared her as much as what she would leave behind. A life barely lived. ”I would have turned twenty-one in August,” she whispered, hating to state herself in a past tense like this. It made her more scared, taking in big heeps of air to calm herself. They drove for a while, her stomach twisting and turning, scared of when he stopped. ”I guess I was a bad person after all,” she mumbled mostly to herself. She couldn’t fold her hands in front of her, but she folded them behind her back, leaning her head forward and mumbling to herself in Italian. Small prayers that her mother had thought her, seeking out forgiveness.

"Well it's bullshit. We all die eventually, one way or another," he said sourly. He had accepted that some day at some random time, his luck with Umbrella would run out and there would only be one outcome for him. Not that he had ever worried about dying, most of his life he had actually seemed to want it, but not by killing himself. "August isnt that far off," he added to her words, seemingly untouched by her use of past tense. He moved his eyes back on the road and the silence engulfed the car, John feeling his own tension of the past creep up and her the tension from fearing death. He heard her mumble and rolled his eyes but he didnt say anything yet. "You humans are all the same," he said in the middle of one of her small prayers. "You all think there's some fucking meaning to everything, that everything happens for a reason," he stopped at the red light and turned his head back to her, a deep frown over his brows, "You didnt do jackshit, you were just unlucky. Is there an Italian prayer for being unlucky? I'd like to know." he asked as he turned his eyes back to the road, driving as soon as the light turned green. Soon the city disappeared and trees surrounded them everywhere.

Humans? Did he think she was a mere human? She shook her head, trying to show how she disagreed with him. ”I’m not a human,” she mumbled, her eyes shifting as she could barely look him in the eyes. She chose not to comment on his words, feeling like it wouldn’t matter. ”Prayer for being unlucky? No, but there is a saying,” she said still weak in her voice. ”In Bocca Al Lupo – it means Into the Mouth of the Wolf,” she explained, trying to comfort herself with the looming doom over her head. She swallowed, feeling the dread in her system still, but how could she shake it off? She could see the city disappear behind them, and the fear almost manifested in her body. Panic in her eye as the car stopped and she shook her head. ”Please,” she whispered grabbing her head taking fistfulls of her hair. Tears started falling now, everything got so real for her. Her body not knowing wheter to react with fight or flight.

"You might as well be," he said, shrugging as his eyes returned to the road. Turning his head to hers at the red light was out of anger, a anger towards the prayers that she made, because what good would they do her anyway? There was no god, at least not one that cared enough to save her from this, so why would she bother wasting her breath on it? He frowned at her answer and turned his head back to the road, listening to her explanation. "Fuck the wolf," he muttered as he sat in silence as they entered the woods. When he stopped the car and stepped out, he noticed her panic. He sighed deeply and opened the door as he pulled her out and started dragging her towards the cemetery. He didnt say a word, he just pulled her with him, going towards a tomb. He pressed a button and the tomb opened automatically, seeming dark and empty. He pushed her to the stairs and looked at her. "Go," he said in a cold tone as he soon was to follow her. Darkness was soon replaced by electric light as the tomb's stone walls disappeared as they moved and tall metal walls marked out what would seem like an underground facility. John took her to a room and pushed her onto a chair where he removed her restraints and instead attached her hands to the sides of the chair.

Lucille felt his hands on her again and at this point her body just moved on it’s own. As they got to the thomb her heart started racing, but a push from this stranger and she was suddenly inside something she could best describe as a bunker. She felt like she was being toyed with. Moving down these halls and suddenly being pushed into a room with a chair. She sat down as he pushed her, her tears had dried on her cheeks and she looked blankly at the demon now strapping her down. Could she even say anything to help her situation at this point? Was he going to have fun with her before taking her life? That would be worse than dying. Lucille looked down in defeat. No longer could she find her voice nor do anything but focus on the pounding sound of her heart. A small whimper left her mouth as she squeezed her eyes together. ”I was never meant to have been born – maybe it’s a punishment,” she whispered with a weak voice to herself. Did it matter at this point what she would say? She wanted to be smart, but fear was all she could feel right now.

| As he had put her in the chair, he stepped back and watched her for a while. Her words made him frown as he swallowed silently. He suddenly felt the thought’s of his sister abandoning her own child for him to raise, how the child called Nadia today, probably thought she was a mistake as well. The thought alone made him feel an immense anger but he just stayed quiet. Somehow he felt conflicted, as he had when she had mentioned her family. John was a coldhearted killer, but it had always been with a purpose. What purpose would this serve? Keeping the Umbrella company’s name clean? He looked at her wrists that he had strapped too hard. He walked closer and placed his hands around her wrists, she would feel a short sensation of a pleasant warmth. When he moved his hands away he would have healed her wrists. He stepped back again and sighed deeply. He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something but instead he just shook his head before he left the room.
He came back after a couple of hours with some food and something to drink on a rolling table, placing it in front of her before he pulled a chair to her side. He said nothing but instead grabbed a fork as he picked out a piece of fruit that he offered her. If she didnt want it, he’d just place the fork with the fruit back on the table before he leaned back in the chair, still not uttering a word. |

| Lucille looked into those dark brown eyes, that suddenly seemed to warm up. What was he thinking? Was it amusing to him that she felt like she deserved this? He had seemed so adament in the car that nothing happened for a reason, yet here she was awaiting her death. She grunted as he placed the tightlocking wrist restrainers around her already sore skin. That’s when he grabbed her wrist and she felt the healing sensation. Her heart raced, not knowing what to do or say, because this action came out of nowhere. She watched him in silence as he took his leave and she let her head fall, her chin touching the uppermost part of her chest as she felt defeated. She closed her eyes, not really knowing what to do, and that was when the voices of the lost souls from the cemetary above started sneaking into her hearing. She shook her head. ”No please, I can’t help you,” she begged at the many spirits coming forward. Some screaming, some whispering, but in the silence of the room everything seemed to be so loud. She felt like she had been sitting here for eternity, mumbling to herself and the spirits around her that wouldn’t go. Her eyes had no more tears and she didn’t even bother looking up as the door was opened again. She kept on whispering to a few of the spirits, not really knowing if her guidance was any use for them right now. ”It’s okay, it’s okay – you’ll see your family soon,” she whispered calmly to a spirit standing right by her ear, whispering things she could barely keep up with. Her head dangled to her other side, where another spirit was yelling in loud Italian. ”Calmati e inizia dall'inizio,” (calm down and start from the beginning) she whispered to the lost spirit.
That was when she felt the stranger trying to feed her and her eyes darted back to the blood demon in front of her. Her blue eyes so empty as all she was trying to do was help a few spirits before she ultimately knew she would have to join them herself. Would she end as a lost spirit? Forced to wander the cemetary, hoping that her mother would visit this excact one so that they could speak? She turned her head away from the food. ”Why would you waste your time feeding me if you are going to slaughter me anyways?” she asked in a hoarse voice. She was thirsty, seeing as she had spent most of the time just speaking with the spirits around her. She turned her head to the side and looked like she was listening to something or someone. ”It’s alright, you just have to trust me, the light is there for you,” she whispered to the spirit. Maybe she sounded like a crazy person, but she didn’t care at this point. She looked back to John. ”They have all told me the dispicable things that have been done down here,” she said to him, her blue eyes full of fear at the thought of any of the stories being true. ”Women, younger than me getting their minds torn to pieces,” she said in a shaky voice, her breath not quite stable anymore. ”Is that what you want me for? A playtoy that you can break and put together like you please?” she asked with a frown as she found the concept stomach turning. |

When she refused the food, he just gave her a long stare instead of answering her. Ot was quite obvious as to why he was feeding her, yet he didnt feel safe to speak out loud. He didnt know why he was straying in such a way against the firm, maybe he just finally felt some good cripple his dark heart. He couldnt begin to imagime what wouæd happen if Rayna learned of this. She had never hurt John, not in the way she hurt his brother, but she had other far more effective ways than those on a physical level. He kept his stare on the girl for a while before he looked at the food. He could already see it for him, how another minute of this girl still being alive meant that his punishment relentlessly would gradually harshen up. He wanted to answer her, tell her the reason for the food, yet he knew that no wall was going to protect his words from being heard. He glanced back at a camera in one edge of the room, before he looked at her. He seemed much more calm and lively now, though he didnt speak a word. He folded his hands on his lap as she seemed to speak to someone. He narrowed his eyes at her and listened to what she told the lost spirit that had probably been a prisoner here once. His suspicions were confirmed as she looked back at him and mentioned “they”. It had to be ghosts it couldnt be just her imagination. He let her finish talking before he started leaning forward, somehow he still managed to tower over her even in the slightest. His eyes shifted between hers as he had a quite serious look in his face, “Think of it as this. The more you let your mouth run, the more some little scientist is closer to getting a green light to do whatever he wants to do,” he spoke in a rather low tone, low enough that it wasnt certain which emotion his tone bore. He shifted between her eyes for a while before he leaned back and grabbed the fork again. He hadnt told her why she was feeding her but hopefully her mind would catch on. He lifted a glass with water that had a straw in it, guiding it up to her mouth in rather gentle movements compared to the fact that he was a broad strong demon that seemed rough by nature. He exhaled deeply and a part of him wished that he could say what he wanted. That he had changed his mind in killing her but couldnt let her go yet, how not killing her would doom him to a despicable punishment? After thinking for a while, he found it was better to keep quiet. “You’re not some sort of playtoy to me,” he finally as he shifted between her eyes. “I just do what has to be done. No questions asked, no indescretions,” he then said. He knew he had taken a long while to answer her, but he had to be careful with his words, mostly if he was going to contradict them in the moment he said them. “What else do the ghosts tell you?” He asked, not in a gentle but somehow warm tone, like he was hoping to hear something good.

His threat made her swallow, her eyes flickering and trying to look anywhere but his eyes. He scared her more than anything, especially because she felt so powerless. Why had she never learned how to protect herself – at least better. Maybe her mother had been right, that on eshould always carry something to protect ones self. However Lucille didn’t like weapons, not even knives. As he offered her the water, she grabbed the straw carefully with her lips, taking as big gulps as the straw allowed her to. She soon emptied the glass, gasping as she let go of the straw, leaning a bit back, her eyes still too scared to look at him. This felt more cruel than death. Like he wanted to keep her alive just to take away her hope. She kept her mouth shut, not wishing his warning to come true, until he said something again, making her blue eyes dart to his. She felt a chill run down her spine at the thought of such a life. Did it not eat away at him? She had acted out a lot when she had returned to Gaia after everything with Donovan, but she could not imagine a life that this stranger lead. He asked to the spirits, making her frown and look down. ”It’s hard to explain so many lives in short sentences – would you be able to summerise your own life in a sentence?” she asked, looking up at him with a genuine wonder. She knew she wouldn’t be able to. Exhaling deeply before inhaling seemed to calm her slightly, the voices still so loud around her. ”Most of them ask about their loved ones; A woman asks about her newborn child, safe to say she died giving birth to that baby,” she whispered and looked at the stranger in the eyes. She wanted to see if he even reacted to anything, or if he simply was just working without emotions. ”An elderly man speaks about if he has to cancel his golf appointment on saturday, but he thinks it 1991,” she said feeling her voice getting hoarse from emotions. She could hear a child sitting in the corner, crying for it’s parents and it was heartbreaking. A tear escaped, because she couldn’t help when she was in this situation. She looked to the corner where she heard the voice coming from, frowning and closing her eyes. ”Some voices are hard to differentiate, some sound like their tongue was ripped out, and I’m just trying not getting crazy from their wails,” she whispered, feeling her stomach churn. She looked back to John again, opening her watery eyes as she looked at him. ”Of all places, it had to be a cemetary I spend my last moments – I can’t even get peace before I die,” she said with a faint sad smile on her lips as she looked down, sniffling to herself as she wept silently.
