”I can’t believe you kicked that creature between it’s legs,” Amaryllis bursted out laughing. She felt like it had been forever since she had eaten and she was basically just stuffing her face at this point. ”But I know now to never trust those owl-things; what were they even?” she chuckled and whiped away some frosting from her cheek. Her hair had grown longer over the year they had been stuck, but it had only been maybe a day in their normal world.

Amaryllis snorted at her comment and fell back in her seat laughing. She had missed everyone so much, but was happy to see that time had passed differently in their normal world than where they had been. She took a big swig of her tea and almost spat it out as Vanya pointed out the mokeys. ”What was I supposed to have done? We would have been stuck on that floating island forever!” she chuckled and shook her head trying to calm down, but it was hard when she had missed laughing. She held out her hand and let the teacup float for a bit as she grabbed one of the cookies on the table. ”Woops,” she mumbled, still not used to her new found magic. She a bit awkwardly pushed the tea cup towards the table. ”How about that centaur? If you hadn’t had Lion – and he didn’t have a horsebody - you would have jumped on him,” Amaryllis teased.

”It’s weird, but growing up with a mother like mine, I saw it often,” Amaryllis said with a smile. Part of her were proud that she actually had a part of her mother in her, and the magic was her thing. ”Magic can be dangerous; but I think I understand why my mother locked it away – could you imagine me trying to figure out my beast and my magic at the same time?” she asked with a chuckle. She shook her head and laughed at Vanya’s comments. ”Did you see turtles? I saw rabbits with horns!” she bursted out laughing again. ”I think we have too many stories to tell the others,” she said holding out her pinky finger to her best friend. ”How about we promise to keep some of them to ourselves?” she asked with a smile. The two girls could hold secrets together, they always could.

”I would pay some serious money for a movie abour ninja turtle rabbits,” Amaryllis giggled and started stuffing her face again. One thing she had missed was food – and Karmena of course – but right now the food was the easiest thing to get to, so she made do. She loved their little pinky promise, a stupid thing they had done since childhood, but it reminded her of a simpler time. She nodded at Vanya’s words, chewing as she looked out on the streets outside. ”Should we get out hair cut?” she asked grabbing her long hair and moving it around a bit. The phone comment made her laugh and she nodded. ”I miss the internet we have in our time though, so much faster,” she said licking some frosting off her cheek.

”I feel like I need something else,” Amaryllis said, slightly pulling at her long her to see how long it had gotten. Vanya might like her long hair, but to Amaryllis it would be a pain in the ass to style and put up every day. ”I was thinking about this length,” she said, holding her hand up to the middle of her neck. She took another bite of her muffin, shrugging at Vanya’s words about herbs. ”I’m thinking of giving some to my mum, she always speaks about some herbs she misses, so why not give her some?” she said with a faint smile. ”Maybe I could show her my magic as well, but she’ll probably freak. Amaryllis adjusted herself in her seat a bit and pulled her legs up on the seat. ”Besides, could you imagine making a tea that would get you buzzed like that?” she said with a laugh.

”It would be easier to manage too,” she said with a chuckle and took a big gulp of her tea, breathing out with a sigh of satisfaction. She nodded at Vanya’s words about her mother. She missed the tea that you just got in a cup, with sugar and milk. She snorted some tea out her nose at the mention of that birthday memory. She started laugh, falling back in her seat. ”All I commented was if we should get a manicure!” she chuckled, whiping away the tea. It took her some time to calm down from her laugh and the mention of a party made her nod. ”Sounds good, but then again Jamie’s going to force me into a dress and heels,” she said shrugging. She didn’t mind a party, it was the dressing up part that was annoying to her.
