Home. She was home again, and she walked over the grounds of Southside with no fear of Anthony suddenly showing his face, or anyone actually trying to force her in any way to be anywhere else or someone else. Victoria had found herself again, despite death and the pain that haunted her from Mono's death. How Anthony had killed him. Victoria had found some peace in the rebirth and momentum of being able to start fresh, because there were endless things that now were waiting for her. She looked forward to go back to the Serpent bar later to see what Linus was up to. Excited about all of it.

However, the excitement dropped for a second when a familiar smell made Victoria turn around, facing a young werewolf whom she hadn't seen for months. It was the thing, she had left Rafael and his pack, which she hadn't realized till now that the members whom she held very dear to her heart would suffer from that choice. Not that she regretted leaving Rafael, their constant arguments and fighting had been so exhausting, and they had kept missing each other. "Hermine," she acknowledged that the beta werewolf was there, letting her be the one to approach if she wanted to, not that she had anything to fear from Victoria.

To say a lot had happened over the last few months, if not more, would've been an understatement, to say the least. Hermine had finally returned home after a long and well-needed visit to her parents in Germany. The young she-wolf had been happy to be back when she learned that almost nothing was the same as when she had left.

Hermine had been head deep in a conversation when the familiar scent of Victoria had hit her. Brown eyes fixated on the shapeshifter long before she turned towards her. Clearing her throat Hermine forced down the lump that had been stuck in her oesophagus, she replied “Tori,” Fiddling with her fingers not sure if it would be okay to hug her “Can I... May I, - hug you?” She asked quietly, almost in a whisper.

It was odd to see the young shapeshifter trying to figure out her words, what was right to ask and what was wrong. Then asking if she could hug her, so quietly it could have torn Victoria's heart out in the moment, because she knew Rafael by now more or less would act out as if he didn't care - she knew him after all. It would've been like arriving to a ghost town, and if it was anything like Lucas, she didn't believe Rafael had said much more than she had left, no further explanation than. "Of course," she replied a second or two after, letting her arms open up for Hermine to come and get a hug if she wanted. Just because Victoria had left Rafael's pack, it didn't mean she cared less for its members, it had been a choice on what was right for her.

Victoria had barely spread her arms before Hermine stepped closer and pulled her in for a tight hug. For those standing closest around those might seem like an odd request to ask, but it seemed as if it was the only reasonable question for the young wolf who didn't want to be disrespectful to her alpha or his former wife. After all, Hermine still cared deeply for Victoria as a friend.

“Is it really over between you and Rafael?” She whispered, chin pressed against Victoria's should before losing her grip and taking a small step back. It could hardly be any surprise that some part of Hermine was still rooting for them to get back together.

Victoria should have seen that question come right in from the left, was it really over between her and Rafael? As she shapeshifter let go of the embrace and let a gentle hand brush over the young werewolf's hair, tugging a lock behind Hermine's ear with a small pained smile. "I'm afraid so," Victoria replied and exhaled a little bit. There had always been very high lows and highs when it came to her and Rafael's relationship, and everything was incredible till one of them got jealous or they got into an argument. Not that she was sure Hermine ever had seen that, if she had, perhaps she would understand why it quickly became a toxic circle. "How is my little sidekick doing?" She tried to pull the conversation away from herself and Rafael, even if she knew parts of how Hermine was doing was affected by it. To be honest, Victoria wanted nothing more than to let Hermine join her here in Southside, knowing Vic's brother Eric was in a relationship with Hermine's good friend Noa. The world was small.
